8.3 Excellent
Pros: Davina looked after us really well and was happy to provide breakfast for my wife who is vegetarian and allergic to wheat, gluten and cornmeal. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the river from the cool garden was a great way to start the day. The location is in a quiet spot but very close to the town square, so really convenient for walking and parking.
Cons: It is not air-conditioned but we had a fan in our room which was adequate even though the weather was hot (for July).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I can’t speak highly enough of the welcome we received from Davina at Maison Magnolia. Davina was utterly charming and so friendly making us feel immediately at home and at ease. We travel quite a lot and I would go so far as to say that Davina’s welcome was one of the most friendly ever. She showed us to our room which was spacious (very large) with a high ceiling two massive windows overlooking the garden which led straight down to the beautiful Vienne River. There were lots of magazines and brochures in the room so plenty of local information available for us to read and Davina spent time telling us about local restaurants and cafe’s etc.. The large bed was so comfortable we enjoyed a wonderful sleep both nights of our stay and in the morning we were treated to an absolutely excellent braakfast which included fresh fruit, charcuterie and a massive selection of croissants, pastries, baguettes and yoghurts. What a truly lovely short break and if we were in the area again the Maison Magnolia would be my first choice of places to stay. Thank you Davina and Kelvin.

Cons: In this lovely Bed & Breakfast everything was perfectly fine. Just don't expect, that there is a town/village. Pros: Having booked for 1 night, I extended my stay for another night. Why? Because La Belle Vienne provides the most comfortable rooms, bright and airy hallways, a lovely breakfast room and breakfast, all rooms are newly decorated and are contemporary in design but also very stylish, there is a guests anti room with fridge and water for all, and most of all, the atmosphere and ambience created by my English hosts is of complete relaxation. Come and go as you please. And 1 minute away is the beautiful wide and lovely Vienne river. I'm looking forward to my next stay there, but with my wife next time. La Bell Vienne, highly recommended.
