Pros: Calm location. Pleasant staff. Good value.
Cons: Perhaps tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms should be provided. The ability to boil an egg in the breakfast room would also be good. The bar and restaurant were closed Sunday evening.
Pros: The food was very good - simple but very plentiful.
Pros: We loved the owner of this hotel. She was very keen to ensure we had a lovely stay. This was easy as she owned a lovely hotel. Rooms were lovely & spacious easily accommodating a Family of Four. Very quiet area ensured there was no noise & the AC worked well & easily controlled to the temperature we liked. Breakfast was first class with a huge selection & the owner could not have been more helpful. Ideal for a one night stopover although a longer stay would not have been a problem. We would return if ever in this area again. Disappointed that due to the language barrier we were unable to communicate with our host.
Cons: Nothing to complain about at this hotel except that we enjoyed our stay so much we ended up racking up a bar bill & included breakfast in our stay which i always feel is a little over priced for what is received although it was very good.
Pros: The hotelier was very friendly and accommodating. She helped with directions to local bakery, store and pharmacy. The bedding was very comfortable—soft sheets.
Pros: We had a nice dinner at the hotel!

Pros: Wonderful stay with our dogs. A beautiful interior and exterior. Breakfast great. Hostess very welcoming.
Pros: WE loved this property. Located right on the Vezere river with a beautiful view. The host was amazing, and provided us with freshly baked croissants and fruit outside our door each morning Room was charming, in an old English mansion with beautiful property
Cons: Nothing..Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Dordogne Valley
Pros: Beautiful hotel, charming rooms, gracious host, exquisite breakfast.
Pros: Beautiful place. Well looked after. Will be happy to return in August
Pros: Pool was excellent as it was very warm
Cons: Place was lovely
Pros: The best feature of the Moulin is the host! HE was brilliant and so accommodating and nobody does eggs better! But beyond this, our stay was more than excellent, with rooms that were both well designed, tastefully decorated and comfortable (with vintage furniture and decoration). Getting to it, you have to cross the industrial outskirts of the town, but then you get to small country roads and the Moulin is on just one of those. The river behind is beautiful and the building is also exceptional.
Located in Brive-la-Gaillarde, Premiere Classe Brive La Gaillarde Ouest is in the business district, within a 10-minute drive of Centre National d'Etudes Edmond Michelet and Les Jardins de Colette. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Clean but miniscule bathroom comfortable matress
Cons: The room was drab- probably last decorated when the hotel was built- we stayed there about 10 years ago and it was basic but nice- now everything is worn out and very tried - we booked a double room for 2 but still got the bed above but without bedding just a bare frame that did nothing to make it look or feel better- still managed to hit the head hard- twice- all the ambiance of a prison cell with poor lighting- not cheap and cheerful but cheap and nasty- there are other hotels that are only slightly more expensive but much much nicer. There wasn’t much choice for breakfast- very basic continental but fresh and tasty- the only redeeming features were ( tiny) but very clean bathroom and comfortable mattress but the bedding was well worn but clean and fresh
Pros: The room cost was low and good for one night. More suitable for the Male traveller.
Cons: Budget standard so unexpected.
Cons: Wi-Fi connection was super slow
Pros: It’s ease of access from the motorway and closeness to the town
Cons: No complimentary drinks tray in the bedroom.
Pros: Cleanliness, location, great staff, and price.
Pros: Basic hotel room - no frills - clean and functional - good for a 1-night stay. Walking distance to restaurant/bar and convenient for Brive Airport. Also breakfast available for 6e per person in dining area - but had an early flight, so can’t comment though looked like there was a great choice available.
Cons: Pillows were poor quality and lumpy...could do with replacing!
The ibis budget Brive la Gaillarde, the smart accommodation choice! Stay in an inviting, modern room while on your travels. Each room is designed to accommodate up to 5 persons (depending on the country) and has a shower, toilet and satellite TV - all at an affordable price. Kick start your day with a delicious breakfast that won't break the bank!
Pros: Clean tidy and convenient for motorway. Breakfast staff even called up neighboring hotel to get soy milk for us - in FRANCE!!!
Pros: Comfortable staff great
Pros: It's a budget hotel. It met that criteria. Pity no fruit available at buffet breakfast.
Pros: Part time receptionists not good for the customers
Cons: Frequently absent staff
Pros: Clean and functional stop over - good WiFi in room.
Located in Brive-la-Gaillarde, Campanile Brive La Gaillarde Ouest is connected to a shopping center, within a 10-minute drive of Centre National d'Etudes Edmond Michelet and Musee Labenche. Featured amenities include express check-out, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This time we stayed was brilliant. The staff were really helpful and kind. The room was clean and perfect for what we needed.
Pros: We chose the location as a stop over on our way south for our holiday.
Pros: The location was just right for our needs with lots of local amenities.
Cons: The plates were cold, the meat grilled on the outside, cold in the middle. The vegetables were cool to cold.
Pros: Very convenient for accesss to motorway.
Cons: The whole place is tired and needs more maintenance.
Pros: Normal Campanile standards, good staff, good free parking, good food, restaurant on site reasonably priced. Didn't leave the hotel as it was a stopover so can't comment on what was around and about. Nice having a bath as well as a shower.
Pros: Lady at reception friendly and helpful
Cons: Waiter at dinner pushy, wanted to take our plates when we were clearly not finished. He also forgot to bring drinks
Pros: Bed clean and comfortable
Cons: Bathroom heater not working Paper cups Table lamp shade missing One bedside light not working Restaurant not open weekends and after a 14 hour journey we found this very disappointing. The staff recommended Sandy’s diner on an industrial estate when there was a restaurant just across the road. After using Campanile hotels 4 times a year for several years its with regret we shall no longer be using any hotel from this group. They are becoming extremely tied with not much sign of improvement any time soon.
Pros: Very close to A20 motorway. Got ground floor room.
Cons: Shower bar very loose. Plus shower to bath change button did not work.
Pros: Nothing !
Cons: Just about everything. The hotel and its forecourt should either have a major make-over or bull-dozed and built again. How a company with a large number of good hotels like Campanile, effectively ruin its reputation by charging a normal rate for what is the most run-down motel we have ever stayed in Europe and the USA. It is disgustingly not up to standard. I would go as far as to say that I had doubts as to whether the bed linen was freshly washed.
At the edge of Le Midi, hotelF1 Brive-Ussac, located at exit 50 of the A20 highway and 3.1 miles (5 km) from the city center, offers you fast access to the finest attractions in Périgord and Quercy (including the caves of Lascaux, Padirac Chasm, Turenne, and Collonges la Rouge).
Pros: A nice weekend break stay
Pros: Everything was fine
Pros: The staff was very friendly
Cons: Shared bathroom
Pros: The price was cheap for room only.
Cons: The morning staff were terrible. She didn't set breakfast out so I had hot chocolate from a machine on my cereal. She looked miserable and was very rude. I know breakfast was only 3.50 but when you see a picture of what you can have and then it's not available you feel cheated. My room had an unpleasant smell to it and was cold and unwelcoming. My husbands room was warm and welcoming. As a family of 4 with 2 young children we had to have 2 rooms. On booking. Com it showed the rooms were for 3 adults and 1 child. This was not the case. The beds were hard and no plug in the sink.
Located in Ussac, Hôtel Kyriad Brive La Gaillarde Ouest is in a shopping district, a 4-minute drive from Les Jardins de Colette and 6 minutes from Centre National d'Etudes Edmond Michelet. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Convenient for a mid-way stay en route to Spain. The Hotel was easily found off the AutoRoute, reception was occupied at check-in and sadly my partner misunderstood what arrangements were required to leave next morning. The room was comfortable and well equipped
Cons: Nothing much other than trying to leave at 04:30 expecting reception to be open or night manager available...this was not the case and the car parking gate was closed. After probably 30 minutes we eventually discovered that the room keycode opened the gates .....hurrah. Our own fault really
Pros: The location was very good for me, the restaurant at the bottom of the drive is very good with great food Parking is secure and was included ;) The breakfast was very good, would have liked a toaster tho
Cons: Always cheaper lol :) Not easy to spot the entrance, you can see the hotel but i missed the turning so had to go to the next roundabout and tun round Please note although the listing states includes taxes, there is a charge for "local tax" that you have to pay
Pros: Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathroom and showers were clean. Breakfast generous and tasty. I much appreciated the secure parking.
Cons: The self-check-in system was very slow and did clearly give breakfast options for children so I ended up paying adult prices for three children's breakfasts.
Pros: Second visit in a short time and still good value , good position from motorway. Rooms clean and staff very professional .
Pros: NOTHING could NOT check in despite paying in advance.
Cons: Office was NOT open 24 hrs, as described.
Pros: Found the hotel at night with no problem although the signage was not illuminated
Cons: Only negative if you can call it that was the use of a shower curtain.

Pros: Good welcome , friendly staff. Disabled room. Excellent meal in Courtepaille
Cons: Awful smell of disinfectant in corridors and room. Heavy springs on doors. Slippery floors in shower
Pros: The staff were extreme pleasant and helpful
Pros: Excellent staff and warm welcome. Restaurant next door. Lovely breakfast.
Cons: I would have liked tea/coffee facilities in my room.
Cons: Air conditioning very hot weather 38+
Pros: ibis style is what it is little costly compared to others we stayed in on our travels
Pros: Comfortable rooms. Lovely restaurant (Courtepaille) on site. Great location for an overnight stop en route.
Pros: Handy for the A20, clean bed, parking good.
Cons: Expensive restaurant food, bathroom a bit shabby, ventilation vent in the bathroom above the shower/bath completely off, tv remote not working properly, breakfast hard croissants & madeleines, the ‘fresh’ fruit looked like it had been there for days, the rest of the breakfast was ok. We probably would have been just as well taking a room in the Ibis budget next door which was cheaper. All in all not the usual quality for the money we paid. On a return journey we’d stay somewhere else.
Located in Ussac, B&B Hôtel BRIVE-LA-GAILLARDE is a 4-minute drive from Les Jardins de Colette and 6 minutes from Centre National d'Etudes Edmond Michelet. Featured amenities include an elevator and a vending machine. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: What is not to like.
Pros: Not a lot, breakfast was ok but nothing available for dinner. Eventually staff said we could get pizzas delivery
Cons: Very hard to find, hotels .com gave no directions and we ended up having to ask at a pharmacy several kilometres away
Pros: Very friendly and helpful
Cons: Internet didn’t work very well
Pros: Very quiet & comfortable, good breakfast.
Pros: Good basic hotel
Pros: Quiet, comfy beds & good inexpensive breakfast selection
Pros: Clean, nothing special bit can,t expect more for the money you pay. Self check in quite simple.
A stay at Kyriad Brive La Gaillarde Centre places you in the heart of Brive-la-Gaillarde, within a 5-minute drive of Halle Georges Brassens and Stade Amedee Domenech. Featured amenities include express check-in, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The quality of this Kyriad hotel was above what I have tried before. The room was small but really functional. The bed was comfortable and the small bathroom was a small gem! It was truly high end functional given the small space. The shower was great, loads of water power and heated water. There was a heater in the room that was extremely fast. The room had everything you need and with a free parking just outside the window. A huge shopping mall on the other side of the street and the same goes for an asian restaurant. Restaurant on site as well. 1,2 km to the city centre.
Pros: Friendly staff, great breakfast comfy beds
Cons: Single bed rooms very small seem to be for children and ‘attached’ to double room. Noisy neighbors and blind
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Small room.
Pros: Great for a one night stay nice to have coffee and biscuits in the room
Cons: Restaurant was closed as sunday
Cons: One of the worst hotels of my life. The rooms are for dwarfs, never seen smaller
Pros: Convenient location, handy for access to Brive centre. Friendly staff. Great selection on starter buffet.
Cons: The reception was not aware the the room had not been prepared. On arrival at the room with our luggage it was as the previous clients had left it and we had to wait for it to be cleaned. We felt rushed eating the starter at dinner. The waiter came to take away the plates twice before we had finished and the main course was brought out before we had finished and left on the counter top going cold.
Cons: Less interesting area.
Pros: Room had air-conditioning and good shower. It served a nice breakfast and the staff were friendly. There was private parking right outside the front of the hotel. It is situated not far from the city centre which was just a short walk away across the river. Nice walking path alongside the river. Didn't see much of the town as we used this as a stopover to visit the Millau Bridge.
Cons: There was not much hanging space in the room, really designed for overnight stays. There was not a lot of room to spare around the beds
The ibis Brive Centre hotel is located on the bank of the River Corrèze, a 5-minute walk from the city center. The region offers fascinating cultural attractions, including the Château de Turenne and the village of Collonges-la-Rouge. Located 1.2 miles (2 km) from the train station, the ibis Brive Centre hotel offers 61 air-conditioned rooms with free WIFI, a meeting room for your seminars and a 24-hour bar with terrace. Pros: Good breakfast and bar, plenty of parking, very close to restaurants and bars
Cons: Rooms a bit tired.
Pros: Friendly staff, good location close to city centre, lots of free parking (able to take a camping car).
Cons: The bathroom was tired - chipped tiles, grubby grout in tiles, broken soap dispenser, one bathroom mirror light not working, etc. Cost of breakfast was too high.
Pros: The breakfast was amazing for a budget hotel
Cons: We were in the last room in the basement with no air conditioning but because of that our breakfast was free!
A stay at Grand Hôtel Brive places you in the heart of Brive-la-Gaillarde, within a 10-minute walk of Centre National d'Etudes Edmond Michelet and Church of St-Martin. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: 52 euros, just unbelievable price. I had eye problems and staff were extremely helpful. 9.50 euro breakfast was just swhat the Dr. ordered.
Pros: Like our previous stay, location, rooms, breakfast, all really good. We will stay again.
Cons: We didn't appreciate being locked out of the hotel at 11.30pm for 15 mins. Attempts to call the "appel nuit" just went to the answerphone. Another guest also locked out had to call his daughter from her room to come down to the reception and let us in. This shouldn't happen, needs reviewing!!
Pros: Great location, very clean and modern, friendly staff, good breakfast.
Pros: Lovely old hotel which although modernised had some pockets of charm. Large suite with plenty of space. The hotel has very helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Wonderfully convenient location for exploring the centre of Breve la Gaillard and then catching a train the next morning. We couldn’t have been happier. A very lucky find.
Cons: Contemporary style decoration. It was a shame that they hadn’t kept it in its original style but it was clean and fresh so not a real complaint.
Pros: Spacious room, very clean, quiet.
Cons: After a ten hour drive, we arrived at 6pm, bar closed, restaurant closed, would have been nice to have known in advance, booked this hotel as it had these facilities, very disappointing.
Pros: Lovely clean and comfortable rooms. Great position for train travel and easy parking for the car.
Cons: Nothing- this was an excellent place to stay for a night as we were travelling.
Pros: Location,, cleanliness, quality, style, price, facilities, decor, friendly staff, good coffee.
Cons: No complaints here
Located in Malemort-sur-Correze, Brit Hotel Brive is a 4-minute drive from Stade Amedee Domenech and 5 minutes from Halle Georges Brassens. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good, comfortable room, good value for money, EV charging (2x AC) avaialble, friendly host
Pros: Excellent clean modern room, very quiet. Evening meal in the restaurant was good value and in a pleasant environment. Friendly staff.
Cons: I can't think of any negatives for this hotel.
Cons: Nice people and clean comfortable room.
Pros: reasonable well priced meal
Cons: soap dispenser in shower not working
Pros: Good parking space, responsive staff. The lady was apologetic when I informed her about the kettle.
Cons: The room was small and basic with not even a closed cupboard. The kettle in the room was so dirty that I preferred taking hot water from the tap for the morning tea. There was no iron in the room and they could not find it when we requested for it. The breakfast was very average. The pool seemed good but what's the point for 1 day travellers if it opens only at 3 pm.
Pros: Friendly family run business. Large clean rooms, with modern facilities, comfortable bed, powerful shower. Restaurant is beautiful, food is excellent, value spot-on. Great advert for the Brit hotel chain
Cons: There's absolutely nothing here to dislike!
Pros: The staff were helpful and very friendly!
Cons: Cleaning was poor
Located in Saint-Pantaleon-de-Larche, ACE Hôtel Brive-la-Gaillarde is within a 15-minute drive of Les Jardins de Colette and Vezere Valley. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice clean secure stop off on way back from holiday in Spain
Cons: Everything meet our needs
Pros: Easy to find
Cons: Everything was ok
Pros: Secure parking and location
Pros: location close to motorway. Lots of places to eat. Area looks to be very safe. Hotel has staff on site all night.
Cons: Breakfast was disappointing for the price. €7. Scrambled egg was like chewing rubber, had probably been cooked very early and by 9:0am was well past its best. One very poor quality toaster. very poor choice of fruit, only apples left.
Pros: Very clean comfortable large room
Pros: Basic comfortable hotel at a fair price. Chap on reception polite and efficient. I have stayed before and will stay again.
With a stay at Hotel Le Montauban in Brive-la-Gaillarde, you'll be a 4-minute walk from Church of St-Martin and 5 minutes by foot from Musee Labenche. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The food at the restaurant was excellent. The bathroom had plenty of room.
Cons: The room and bathroom is very dated but had a certain olde worlde charm.
Pros: Friendly, courteous and helpful staff who helped with our minimal french
Pros: Location adjacent to pedestrian precinct. Large room Secure under cover parking on site Welcoming receptionist
Cons: Shower. handpiece had no holding bracket. Handbasin cracked in two places. Bed sagged and was past its best before date.
Pros: Covered garage for car although cost 7 euros a night.
Cons: The hotel was in a sorry state. The room we were given was in dire need of decoration, bare patches on radiator, windows and skirting. The 'bathroom ' is a cubbyhole with a concertina type door which is broken.
Pros: The hosts were charming and produced a magnificent evening meal in a beautiful room. If you want the authentic French hotel with character - this is it! Rush hour is not a good time to arrive as the hotel is on a one way non stop traffic system. There is very reasonable public parking nearby but you need to know where it is! The hotel is in the centre of town near many interesting buildings and attractions
Cons: In the interests of a fair review the bedroom we had was a good size but all the walls and ceiling were decorated with a floral patterned paper in a sort of hearing aid beige/pink. There was an enormous patch of damp on the ceiling over the bed. Frankly, the place needs a bit of money spending on it. Maybe other rooms are more up to date, I certainly hope so. The decor is part of the charm of the place, so many hotels have a very bland offering standard throughout their boring range. Not this one, I would gladly go again for a sheer breath of fresh air..
Pros: Friendly staff - owner spoke fluent English Very good breakfast - don't forget to ask the owner for cooked eggs Owner very helpful - lent us a fan as the room was hot in late July! Dog friendly Private covered car parking with high ceiling (rare for city / town location) Location - close to old town Price very good for central location
Cons: Hotel & room very tired (badly needs painting / decorating, shower doors cracked & carpets past their sell by date). BUT the hotel & room were clean and given all the positives if you are prepared to overlook the shortcomings you should have a good base from which to explore Brive.
Nestled in a wooded park near the A20 and A89 and just 5 mins from downtown Brive, the Mercure Hotel offers a quiet, relaxing environment for business trips & vacations. Guests can unwind in our spacious, comfortable rooms with premium bedding. The hotel has a traditional restaurant, 24-hr room service, lounge bar and swimming pool. As soon as you step in the door, your comfort is our number 1 priority.
Pros: Restaurant food was fantastic and reasonably priced.
Cons: The bed was way too soft for me.
Pros: Great variety. For english people the tea was not very nice but the food was great, especially the bakery section.
Cons: The blue light in the bar area is a bit sketchy. Standard toiletries not avail in your room which I would have expected for this hotel.
Pros: Good setting with a lovely swimming pool. Restaurant very good. Plenty of free parking.
Cons: Great in-room service for a late arrival
Pros: Good breakfast, lovely staff.
Pros: Top for overnight stay while supercharging your Tesla. Good breakfast!!
Pros: Stopover Location (close to Highway), nice food at the restaurant
Pros: Evening meal was excellent, comfortable bed, good shower and clean pool
Cons: Hard chairs in restaurant
Pros: We have stayed in quite a few Mercure Hotels, but I have to say this was very disappointing. Having stayed in a Mercure in Orléans only the night before our visit to Brive where everything about it couldn’t be faulted, this one in Brive didn’t appear from the outside or inside to merit being part of the Mercure hotel group. We booked this without the facility to cancel only to be told several days later that the restaurant would be closed but there was room service. As we were travelling we chose this specifically because of the restaurant so it didn’t start well. When we arrived we were shocked to see that it was right by the motorway and the F1 Hotel in an industrial area. Having arrived we went to the room only to find that there was scaffolding only a few feet from our bedroom window. Thankfully after complaining they offered us another room. There are no restaurants nearby so we had to have room service, which arrived in a glass jar .. The night before we had had a beautiful room, and a gourmet meal with breakfast included. Here we had a not very nice room, dinner in a jar, and had to pay for breakfast. When we totalled up the cost was near enough the same! Definitely not value for money.
Pros: Very good breakfast but expensive.
Cons: If evening meal and breakfast taken, then stay quite expensive
8.1 Excellent (246 reviews)
See hotel page Situated between the Prigord, the Quercy and the Limousin, The Originals Boutique, Hotel Le Quercy, Brive-la-Gaillarde Centre ensures comfort and a friendly atmosphere. It stands at the intersection of the A20 and A89 motorways, a real advantage for guests travelling on business.Charlne Lachaise and her team will offer a warm welcome in this modern, 48-room 4 star hotel located in the centre of Brive.
Pros: The distance to the show of Limousins with kbs. Lovely property, facility and view
Cons: The choice for breakfast was limited and food ran out
Cons: No hotel parking, however a municipal parking lot across road.
Cons: There is no safe deposit box no minibar no kettle no robe no sleepers in the room No help with the luggage it should not get even 2 stars
Pros: Location, complimentary bottle of water
Cons: Quiet less we were next to an elevator, lights from the hall way penetrating the room during the night time, expensive for the type of equipment/ value for money
Pros: Great location with easy parking straight across the road - though that may not be available when the market is operating.
Cons: We booked Hotel The Originals but the large sign at the top of the building gives the former name “Le Quercy”. When we put the address into Waze it converted it to Le Quercy. Never saw any mention of The Originals so it’s a bit confusing. Not really a problem though.
Pros: I was there many times.
Cons: Internet extremely slow.
Pros: The location was good. Parking was close by.
Cons: Room was sparse and small. Wished in retrospect that the receptionist has given us more help with the local and good restarants to have dinner.
Pros: Big room, clean
Cons: Smells very strong plastic in the room. The price was higher than the quality.
