ABOUT US: An ideal base for couples, families, lone travellers or friends looking for a holiday with opportunities for sightseeing and activities based in the countryside. This traditional gite offers an open plan lounge with log fire. There is a well equipped kitchen and dining area. The bedroom/bathroom is on the first floor. A cot and high chair is available should you require them. Outdoor dining and sun loungers in the extensive garden surrounded by peaceful countryside views. Ideally placed for walking, cycling with plenty of inspiration for photography and painting. The gite is located approx 1 km from the tiny village of Saint Pardoux Corbier. Here you will find a church next to the local bar where you can pick up your fresh bread daily and perhaps have a coffee with the locals and sample the local brew 'pineau'. The village has a weekly evening fete throughout July and August where you can try fresh local produce such as cheese, wine and other specialities of the region. Fresh meat and poultry can be purchased and cooked on the BBQs available in the village square. Of course live music and dancing goes on well into the night and this fete proves ever popular with locals and tourists alike. There is a fishing lake and tennis court approx 1.5 km walk from the gite. There are fetes, festivals and markets to be found throughout the surrounding area in the nearby towns and villages which are always alive with colour and character.
