Excellent food. Friendly staff. Large rooms with lots of character. Lovely surroundings. Overall, very comfortable and welcoming.
Peaceful location, huge room, good breakfast. Restaurant was closed - we were the only guests - which meant a 9k drive into Moissac.
Everything - it surpassed our expectations totally Nothing at all
Lovely, period furnishings and great ambience Nothing
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Ideal for a stop over.
a good basic hotel, clean and comfortable. Very quiet at the back of the hotel.Breakfast good value.Hotel good value shower room was very small but adequate for us. We were just passing throughstaying one night
Basic but good enough for a one night stopover
Hotel in a beautiful location, clearly well run by excellent staff. We had a good meal.
Good restaurant and location for the town.
Excellent staff; Among the best restaurant in France. Coffee machine in room.
We visited the Moissac Abbey and the town - worth the stop at Moissac. We liked the peacefulnessa and position by the river.
The relative closeness to the cloistre and the setting at the river Tarn. checking in to our room was not before 3 PM
The hotel is in a nice building. Excellent restaurant! At 8 a.m. due to a reconstruction they started to make terrible noise. After a complaint over the phone they stopped for a while but then began again.
Location, room. Staff very kind. Breakfast very good Lunch and dinner menu expensive. Breakfast with little fruit.
Large comfy suite room with two big windows overlooking the River Tarn. Restaurant good and did not have to wait long. Spa facilities were included, so we enjoyed jacuzzi and hammam.
Good basic hotel in pleasant countryside just outside the town of Moissac. No frills but comfortable, clean and practical. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and the food was good if a little pricey. Minor quibble - the OJ at breakfast didn't taste fresh.
Good welcome from proprietor who was helpful throughout. Decent meal in the evening and good breakfast. Impressive views from dining room. Room had no view and was basic and a bit cramped - ok for overnight but not for longer stay. During walk nearby bothered by large dog
It was a very peaceful location and we were made very welcome by the propriotor and his wife. The food was simple but tasty and clearly sourced locally. We had our dog with us and there wasn't anywhere you could easily exercise him.
Staff were very helpful and nice
The hotel is in an excellent location up in the hills behind Moissac. The first room we were offerd was a bit on the small side but within a couple of minutes we were offerd a larger room which was more suitable. The restaurant offered a good choice of food and wine.
perfect location for touring the region. meals at resturant great value for money. Staff very helpful. Recommend we stayed an extra night over our 3 nights booked !
All facilities at this hotel were good. There was a friendly welcome. The breakfast was particularly tasty with home made jam and fresh cherries. We were not aware that it was out of town, but the welcome and comfort soon made us forget our search nearer the middle of town.
Owners very nice, kind and helpful. Pool area excellent and very pretty. Room spacious with good views and beds fine. Wardrobe in bathroom!... When there would have been plenty of room in Bedroom. Sink smell unacceptable. Stairs difficult although to be fair, help was provided with luggage, downstairs room offered but not good enough. Car Park not secure and difficult to wheel cases over. Food poor and did not warrant rather expensive (but enjoyable) bottle of wine.
the view, nice restaurant, good parking the view from the room, the room size,
Staff good, food good, Lack of shower only had bath shower and no screens
Dynamic staff backed up by efficient staff, very good food, will go back without a doubt.
Dinner was well presented and good but, and a big but, was cold and served on cold plates Otherwise a surprisingly enjoyable experience.
Beautiful views and a lovely pool. The restaurant was good. Executive room was very basic - could provide a chair in room.
The swimming pool and the superb views of the surrounding countyside while swimming no evening bar facility and limited dining menu
very tranquil. great setting. beautiful pool and a really excellent meal in the restaurant. welcoming for kids too understaffed in the daytime. Room classified as 'suite' was exactly the same as normal 'classic' room.
The location, the quiet, the food ,the service - though in truth we only met one member of staff, who could not have been nicer.
Quiet countryside, magnificent view and pool, fantastic food, interesting building, quiet room , friendly helpful staff.
fantastic setting, lovely pool, evening meals were wonderful Bedrooms need updating, breakfast very basic
Beautiful, slightly remote location. Lovely infinity pool overlooking rolling countryside. Very quiet and relaxing.
the ambiance and facilites which are first class - gerat value for money!! no it was fine
The hotel is located next to the town parking lot and with no air-conditioning it is quite noisy at night. There is no lift so moving heavy luggage is difficult.
I visitd the cloisters; walked along the river & canal path & locks; followd the guided intown site route and climbed into the small hill/colline above the city of Moissac. (I also went to boulangerie, a cafe, etc. Everything about the hotel was fine and the staff was very helpful because I arrived very late because of the greve and had to leve very early for the same reason. Excellent!!
Helpful receptionist on arrival. Difficult to find by car first time. Needs upgrading. Looks jaded.
Breakfast was excellent value. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The view from the room was good. We were in room 9 which for anyone with a walking problem or who could not follow a map would be a problem, however the view was excellent.
I was sightseeing in the small village. We never got the internet to work in my room.
Proximity to Moissac Abbey Poor value for money. Room dismal and fairly antiquated bathroom. Not what we were expecting at all
Centre of charming small town. Restaurants and places of interest nearby. No lift and our room was on third floor or fourth, a very long way with a heavy suitcase.
Ease of finding and reserving room. Easy access to town center, well located. Easy, available parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice big bath tub. Decore was ordinary and visually cold.
Very good value for money Room at the front was noisy as on the town square and on a hot evening we needed the windows open
Very short walk to the Cloister of Moissac and to the river Tarn. Loud situation on the market square in early morning. No longer any restaurant. No wifi connection anywhere in the hotel when we tried.
1. Since it is not possible to extend Wi-Fi to all rooms, please consider having a dedicated space with a table and chair (+scanner/printer?). 2. The TV channels provided are not up to the level a guest expects. Satellite TV please.
It was a pleasant little chateau with clean and fairly smart rooms and an excellent bathroom. The entrance drive to the chateau was blocked with a table and chairs forcing guests to drive around the back like the staff!
Atmosphere and peace No
Our second stay. Beautiful building and setting. Lovely staff. Brilliant food. Very relaxing.
We spent 5 weeks in France and the "Chateau" was clearly the best place we stayed at. The standard of accomodation was first class, the food superlative and the service far exceeded our expectations. Everything about the place was 5 star!! If you go to this area of France you must experience this. There was absolutely nothing not to like!!
The hotel building and grounds are beautiful, as is the location. The rooms are very comfortable and well-appointed. The restaurant is very over-priced and serves bland tasting nouvelle cuisine. There seems little imagination in the presentation - we had a salmon dish, fillet steak, and guinea fowl all served with the same garnish and plate decoration (including a red wine poached pear)! The breakfast, at 12 euros is also very over-priced and not very special. If you stay here, go out for a coffee and croissant for breakfast in one of the surrounding villages, and eat dinner in any of the great restaurants in the area.
the attractive building, grounds and pool area. the dinner on the terrace was very good. no
Very comfortable and friendly hotel in lovely surroundings Lack of mirror in bedroom and hairdrier
nice surroundings / terrace dont't be fooled by the picture on the website... the room you are getting is nothing like it. We booked a renovated room on the first floor, but were first put in a old shabby room on the second floor in which I could't even stand up staight (although I'm not unusualy tall). After complaints we got another room on the first floor... but still not something which deserved the label renovated. It was very small, there was only one small closed, and the bathroom clearly dated from the 70-ies or so (altough it was relatively clean). The restaurant is acceptable, but nothing special, and definetely pricey of you compare value for money. At the first day, the bread at breakfast was old, but the following day's it was okay. I cannot understand the otherwise so positive reviews of this hotel on the website. This hotel desperately needs a real professional managament, and should not lie at the time of booking about the room you are realy getting upon arrival.
