Pros: Corrine is an excellent host.
Cons: Ras
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Corinne is a wonderful host, and the rooms are beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. My room had a great view to Chateau Queribus in the distance. There's a lovely outdoor space at the back with a jacuzzi to enjoy in the summer. The soaps in the bathroom are organic, and Corinne had made delicious crepes, brioche bread, and jams for the breakfast. I wish I could have stayed longer!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was comfortable & had everything you need. The host was lovely & we met a really nice couple over breakfast. The owner was always helpful & we have fond memories of the stay & the sweet house.
Cons: Truthfully compared to other similar accommodation the extra 24 euros per couple for breakfast per night is a bit steep & we found most places for 90-100 euro included breakfast & they were still of this quality. It made the stay an extra 70 euros which is a lot. So @ 120 euro a nite with breakfast it is a tad expensive as the breakfast is nice but no offence intended, I would not say it is anything exceptional.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely wonderful in every possible respect.

Auberge du Vigneron - Cucugnan - Bedroom
2
9.1 Excellent (239 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Cucugnan, Auberge du Vigneron is in the mountains, within a 15-minute drive of Château de Quéribus and Chateau de Peyrepertuse.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I phoned last minute after booking on the App and they kindly booked me in. I must say the meal was excellent and wine from the region was good. I think the place is stunning and the drive up to the village a must see. I imagine in full swing on the terrace it would be spectacular. Definitely would recommend this Chamber D'Hotes.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location in the center of the village. Charming. Deliceous breakfast on the terrace.
Cons: Bad Wifi. Bad smell in one of the bathrooms. A/C not working properly in one of the bedrooms.
7.5 Good
Pros: Quite a large and comfortable room with a great view.
Cons: When checking out the lady tried to charge us €10 more than my booking.com confirmation. She argued that there was a commission to pay to booking.com. We argued for ten minutes until finally she allowed us to pay the €99 we had confirmed. Never had this happen before. When checking in there was no where to park. No directions of where to park. I finally found the owner down in his restaurant. He was rushed and brusque. Not a very nice welcome.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a beautiful mountain village. Our accommodation, below the hotel, had been recently refurbished with a separate sitting room and bedroom, with a garden/terrace area with wonderful views. Breakfast, on a terrace above our room, was excellent.
Cons: There is no hotel parking - you park outside the village and walk in. The staff seemed unenthusiastic when we arrived - and when we tried to order a digestif after dinner - although it was only 21.30! I think they keep early nights.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view from our room into the landscape.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and peaceful just how I like it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern bedroom decor within an authentic village building . Excellent evening menue and likeable staff.
Cons: Being left to fend for ourselves at breakfast although we muddled through and it was enjoyable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very nice apartment, a lot of space. A good location in the village
Cons: Breakfast was running out when we went there quite late. The garden could be better maintained.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic out of the way location. People very friendly and helpful. Beautiful terrace restaurant.
Cons: No hand soap in bathroom - first world issue!
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Friendly hosts .Comfy bed and very clean rooms. Dinner was excellent with several wines which were local. Breakfast also very good. A few kms out of town which is not a problem. An old chateau with character
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room. Really delicious dinner and great company. It was like being at a dinner party with good friends.
Cons: I liked everything!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely old chateau with modern rooms. Run by a very professional and friendly couple. Storage for our tandem bicycle was not a problem. We took advantage of their evening meal to avoid riding the 5km into St. Paul for dinner. A lovely meal and lovely conversation in French. Hosts speak English, too, but conversation might be more difficult.
Cons: Nothing bad to say. It was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel, if this is what it is, is a one-off! It's delightful. Our room, the blue one, is more attractive and comfortable than it looks in the photos, and it has a magnificent shower room with superb modern fittings. Xavier and Veronique make you feel like a valued house-guest. We opted for their evening meal (and also pic-nics for the following day). We would encourage anyone booking to have the evening meal if they want to spend a very interesting evening with Xavier and Veronique.
Cons: Nothing. Well - they have a cat and a dog and we would like to have met them! But they are kept away from visitors. I'm not sure how the meal would work out if you couldn't speak a reasonable amount of French. Xavier speaks English but the others at the table were French. They all made an effort to involve us and to speak slowly so that we could join in. There is no tv in our room, which we didn't miss as we spent the evening downstairs having the very good meal and enjoying the company of Xavier's parents and other guests
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were most friendly. We felt very welcome. We had a marvelous dinner at the table of the hosts. A wonderful concept The house (chateau) is situated in a beautiful country side. They offered us a welcome drink in the garden, a very nice gesture.
Cons: No complaints at all, everything was perfect.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is located in a quiet road with a lovely outside table area.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Although landlady did not speak English very well if ever, she tried to explain and/or show us everything needed and was very nice in general. Also provided breakfast was good.
Cons: Besides a very small window in the bathroom, the only other window was the glass entrace door, so in the night we had to leave the door opened to get in some fresh air. Not a big issue though, it was a very calm and seemingly safe place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the area - especially the Cathar castles of Queribus & Peyrepertuse. Very quiet/peaceful and beautiful. The hosts were very friendly and available. A satisfying continental breakfast awaited us (at our requested time) in the morning. There were also helpful guides in the room, to let us know about the area.
Cons: The heat wave! This made things unexpectedly stuffy in the room, but a fan could relieve this easily. Since the rooms open to the outside, we couldn't open the doors to try to catch a breeze.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome and cosy but comfortable room. Walking distance to amazing restaurant and great location for chateaux, great views. Simple breakfast served on a table right outside our room. Cucgnan is a picturesque village with choice of restaurants.
Cons: Difficult to ventilate the room without opening door. Some net/mosquito curtains might help.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. The situation is beautiful, just down the hill from the small town with shops and restaurants. Lovely view and breakfast on the terrace. Tea/coffee maker was a nice addition.
Cons: I was surprised to find no soap or shampoo etc.

Pros: Joel's red wine was perfect with the bread and cheese we bought at the local bakery!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breathtaking views on the way to the B&B from Toulouse. Incredible staff. Stupendous view of the valley from our window. As soon as we arrived we reversed our car over a small wall and got stuck. Within minutes, 8-10 friends, fellow guests and neighbors collaborated to help us lift the car up and over this tiny wall and back onto the street. Clara was unphased and directed us to the nearby parking area. Joel provided everything we could want at breakfast including serving our coffee, chocolate chad, yogurt, baguette and croissants on locally created pottery, some of which we bought later on. Had an amazing dinner at Auberge de Vigneron; lunch the next day at Bar de Vigneron. Tremendous visit. Would love to return.
Cons: Not applicable.

Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: A quiet and friendly inn- impeccably clean and helpful to their guests. Right in the centre of some remarkable hiking to Queribus and to Peyrepertuse- an excellent location.
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean room with air-con, nice bath with lots of hot water. Great location in center of Cucugnan. Separate outdoor area available down some steps for sitting outside.
Cons: Room number 1 only really private with shutters down as there is otherwise a room directly opposite that can look straight into the room. Air con helps but would be nice to be able open shutters and patio door to let in fresh air without losing privacy. Perhaps an outdoor screen between the two rooms would help provide more privacy for both rooms. Wifi available but it didn't work or us in the room or outdoor sitting area.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s character
Cons: None
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location, second to none. Beautiful village, perched on a hill with four very good restaurants. The village houses are charming and the hotel is part of the village in style and history. The restaurant fronts on to the street, the accommodation is to the rear , up a flight of steps. The bedrooms are modern, small but clean and comfortable. Lovely owners, very good service, great restaurant.
Cons: What a little gem, quirky, but very charming and vastly historic. The only thing that may inconvenience people is the fact that you have to drive up narrow streets to access the hotel. When there dump the bags, and then drive down the road to the car park.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly welcome. The hostess telling us some of history of the place. Excellent evening meal and breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment I arrived on my bicycle I was looked after like an old friend. Francoise immediately insisted all my clothes needed washing (they did) and showed me how to use her machine. Being in the middle of summer without air conditioning, Francoise showed me how to manage the room. Air conditioning wasn't needed despite the outside temperature being above 40c. My room was very clean and had everything I needed. I was shown to the communal fridge which was well stocked with refreshments which were priced at cost without markup. However the best part of the stay was the meals. Dinner was simply superb. Marco is an excellent cook while Francoise 's hostess skills allowed all of the guests, who had limited shared language, the ability to communicate together. (Thankyou to them also, the gentleman from Chimay in Belgium and the couple from Italy. I had an unforgettable night). Francoise explained the history of the villiage and also of the greater region, she talked about other local villages and attractions in the area. As a tourist you couldn't ask for more. Every single plate that everybody had was completely cleaned after every course, a testament to Marco's skills. And the cheese plate was exquisite. I've never had the pleasure of sampling the same cheese at different ages like this before . As a predominately English speaker you are sometimes a little hesitant staying in a B and B in another country but here it was simply delightful. Plus there are so many attractions nearby. Don't look elsewhere, stay here
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean Cozy room Situated in lovely surroundings The owners Franciose and Marco are so helpfull Excellent food

Pros: This little boutique b & b turned out to be a very pleasant stay. We found it to be super clean and very comfortable. We loved that we had a view from our window of the Queribus Castle. It was a delight to sit out on the patio in the afternoon to relax with a beer. In the evening, the restaurant turned out to be a gem. We really enjoyed our stay here. It is perfectly located for a visit to the Queribus Castle.
Cons: There really was not anything that we did not like.
6.3 Good
Pros: The food at the restaurant was excellent. The staff very friendly.
Cons: The room was very basic. The plastic encased mattress was very uncomfortable. There was only a single wire-backed chair to sit in. I had to lug my baggage up and down a long spiral staircase. Between the staircase and the bed, I still have a backache.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel rooms were clean, functional and quiet and attached to a bar/restaurant which served wonderful dinners and breakfasts. Parking was freely available close to the auberge. Staff were very friendly and the location was wonderful for visits to the castles.
6.8 Good
Pros: the apartment was a good size and was away from the hotel up in the village itself. it was basic but very nice to have three bedrooms. it was pet friendly and in a good spot next to a nice restaurant.
Cons: the staff were hilarious - they didnt really care - i didnt mind as we were pretty relaxed and only looking for a one night stop over but I would have found it annoying if we had stayed longer.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was really friendly and helpful, the room was big and had everything one would need. The place has also a restaurant, where we had dinner, and the food was extremely good at a very reasonable price.
Cons: They had booked our room to another guest and did not inform us in time. We found out when we arrived at the property. We were lucky they had an extra room, given that accomodation in that town was scarce and the place is quite isolated
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The little village is a gem. The scenery is beautiful. Food at the hotel is really good. We enjoyed our meals and the friendliness of the staff. This is a small rural hotel.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good place for a night on the Sentier Cathare. Having incorrectly advised us that breakfast was available early, the owner went to a lot of trouble to prepare us a breakfast supply box to take to our room. We appreciated his effort and willingness to solve the problem.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Agreeable owner. Very pleasant room, tasty dinner.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly people and nice property in picturesque location. Clean and comfortable.

I felt well cared for; the place was clean and nice and an absolute bargain for the money. The building - an old fort - was amazing to have as a home for one night. I'd love to come back.
Cons: Nothing could have been better.
