9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hosts, good location, excellent breakfast. We wish we had stayed longer. We would like to stay there again.
Cons: WiFi at times difficult to connect to.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was superb - fresh breads, croissants and pastries, homemade preserves and excellent coffee - a wonderful start to the day! La Maison des Buis is in the Guibray quarter of Falaise - a very pleasant ten minute walk to 'centre-ville'. By far the best B&B we have ever stayed in in France - and we've stayed in many! Thanks Gilles and Brigitte - you are stars!!!
Cons: Absolutely nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There are so many good things. The owners are delightful, friendly, helpful and respectful. The house is beautiful, on the edge of a quite charming town. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the fixtures, fittings and amenities are excellent. Then you wake up and breakfast is also excellent. It's one of the best places we've stayed.
Cons: Not one negative.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding! A superb room, A fantastic breakfast with homemade preserves and a wonderful garden. Our hosts were so welcoming.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location on route from the ferry at Caen. Our delightful hosts were very accommodating and nothing was too much for them.
Cons: One small item was the bed which was too firm for us. Though the size was excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a privilege to be welcomed into such a nice home as if we were honoured guests
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was excellent and quite roomy. The shower was good and there was space to sit on a couch in the bedroom. The hosts speak very good English and are very helpful with recommendations for restaurants. The breakfast was stylish and most welcome. There is a code for the front gates which you must obtain prior to arrival. Parking is 50 yards down the road but in a very quite area and better than directly outside on the pavement. It is a good central point for visits elsewhere. There is a large supermarket with fuel just down the road into Falaise. The main shopping area is a half mile further down the main road.
Cons: The stairs to the bedroom are to be taken with care bit there is nothing that can be done about that. Just be careful and it does NOT detract from the overall excellence.Very com
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were charming, helpful and discreet. The decor was elegant and very comfortable, we couldn’t ask for more. The garden was lovely, and our hosts were so welcoming, made it feel home from home. Will return.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely place to stay in Falaise. We had driven for 5 hours back en route to the UK and stayed here for the evening. We arrived later than planned, at 9pm, but the owners were really friendly and welcoming - even opening the swimming pool for us so we could take an evening swim after our long drive ! The rooms and overall facilities are new, very clean and very well kept. The continental breakfast was lovely. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stylish decor. Secure courtyard. Comfortable rooms. Selection of fresh breads etc breakfast. Enjoyable pool and relaxation area including sun deck. Efficient service from hosts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a fantastic place to stay. The owners have put a lot of thought and time into creating a modern, comfortable place to stay for their customers. It was all professionally managed and the owners, staff were always friendly and cheerful. The place was very clean and up to date. We liked the idea of having our own "stall" (Yes!) for breakfast and the croissants were gorgeous. Situated within a courtyard near the main house it was very quiet, yet it is located in the town of Falaise. Highly recommended.
Cons: There wasn't anything not to like. Perhaps more drawer space in the room for clothes that don't hang up! But that wasn't a great drawback at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was a lovely surprise and exceeded our expectations. We were in a beautifully and tastefully converted stable block, that is fantastic value. We were only there for the night and the town looked worth exploring. Secure parking within the gates of the property. We would like to stay there again.
Cons: The wifi seemed to be problematic while we were there, though we did not investigate further.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best accommodation we had so far in France.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Indoor pool a great bonus after a long drive.

Pros: Building was interesting, but needs more repair, style and probably funds. Room was spacious, bed was good and clean, dinner was superb, breakfast was good, common room seemed well stocked with coffee, drinks, snacks and touristic info.
Cons: Inside of building did not equal the beautiful outside. Room furniture was a bit old fashioned, hosts were professionally helpful, but a trifle distant.

Pros: A beautiful house in lovely surroundings. very safe, secure parking. Lovely food.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, with lovely homemade jam and the coffee, despite being in a large vacumn flask (usually horrible) was good, too.
Cons: There was an excellent selection of hot and cold drinks available for free (or in the fridge if you paid into a tin) but it was in another room, which was a little awkward. The location was not very easy to find, but worth it in the end.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Located in the Norman countryside, just outside Falaise. Exquisite gardens, with hare and deer wandering across the lawn at sunrise and sunset. Buildings date from as early as 1774, but have been renovated and modernized. The owners went out of their way to be helpful, booking a (very good) restaurant for us downtown for dinner, and preparing breakfast for us earlier than the usual time to facilitate our schedule.
Cons: Two single mattresses on a double bed.

Thank you for a magical stay, and for sharing the impressive history of the chateau with us.
Cons: ?? ??????
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old buildings. Large, comfortable and stylish rooms. Pleasant gardens. Easy access to Falaise.

Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts are brilliant. Gave us the history of the building and the local area and pointed us in the direction of all the best places of interest. Very accomadating, on arrival we were showed to our room which was lovely but unfortunately not suitable for us. We were shown to a different room with no hesitation at all. Ideally located if you want to do the history of Normandy.
Cons: We should have booked two weeks instead of one !!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hosts, comfortable surroundings. Very easy to find.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and gardens, very quiet. Lovely hosts, really went out of their way to make us feel at home. Best breakfast, lovely Manoir.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very friendly and helpful. It is a very quiet location and yet not far from Falaise. The garden and setting of the manor were very nice. The building itself is several centuries old and the owners managed to give the visitors the comfort of a modern hotel, while preserving the atmosphere of an old manor. The rooms are in fact “suites” with a huge “salon” on the first floor (with fireplace !) while the bedroom and bathroom are on the second floor, which used to be the attic, with the old wooden beams included ! We can only warmly recommend this place ... Paul and Maggie

5.0 Okay
Pros: The food was excellent, amazing flavours and the service well timed and friendly.
Cons: The room was charged as a "superior" room, it was very small with a view over a building site and factory roofs. It was on the second floor and there is no lift. The bathroom was good, but it had a sliding door which was noisy and a challenge to close. Finally and most important, there was no hot water and when I pointed this out to the management, I was met with a shrug and told they had problems with the boiler. Really not good enough.
7.5 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable, room was clean and did not expect the room to be that big!! A very enjoyable stay

Cons: Cost of petit-dejeuner.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location near shops and restaurants, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, adequate parking out front, and good breakfast. The staff was helpful and pleasant.
Cons: The walls are a little thin as an alarm went off in another room (for 30 minutes!) and woke us up at 6am. We could also hear a conversation in the next room, thankfully that was after breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good value. Location is perfect and it was very quiet at night despite being on the main road.
