Pros: Lovely atmosphere. Friendly welcome. Beautiful room and building. Lots of facilities. We would like to have stayed longer.
Cons: Nothing. It all seemed perfect
Pros: The best stay we have ever had anywhere. The property is beautiful, the mini zoo is amazing, the hostess was friendly and helpful but not annoying (which can happen sometimes), the breakfast was 10/10, I’m not the person to take pictures of their food, but I had to! Beautiful and delicious. Already miss the family dog! God knows if I ever have any business in the region again and if I come back, but if I do it is very clear where I’ll stay. Thanks again!
Pros: Wonderful countryside experience in France! Great hosts with many friendly animals. Geraldine made for us dinner and it was very delicious. Breakfast is also fabulous - good choice of everything. Our room was very spacious and lovely decorated. Thank you very much for welcoming us!
Pros: This is a delightful Chambre d'Hotes with hosts that are trés geniaux et sympa. The breakfast is delicious with local products & Jean-Yves is very knowledgeable about the region & helpful. The room is palatial & very comfortable. Altogether if you are looking for a Chambre d'Hotes in the Villeneuve sur Lot region, look no further., because you have found it!!
Pros: Absolutely beautiful, and wonderful hosts! We wanted to move in!
Pros: It was a terrific experience staying at Geraldine's and Jean Yves'. The property is super homey, extremely spacious, top-notch renovated using best quality appliances. The surrounding area is super tranquil and relaxing. What a natural spot for meditation practices early in the morning! Family's pets provide a special character to staying at the house. Geraldine and Jean Yves are such dotting, warm-hearted and helpful hosts. They are utmost friendly. Geraldine speaks immaculate American accent English being brought up in the US. Such lovely conversations with her. I've experienced quite a slew of B&Bs in France. While many of them are of good quality, it's hard to match Geraldine's and Jean Yves' hospitality. The way they serve breakfast is simply second to none. My family wished, they had spent more time on the property itself rather than exploring the neighborhood attractions and beautiful villages. That speaks for itself. For me, it's undoubtedly a place of must return.
Cons: Absolutely everything was outstanding!
Pros: Cute and wonderful cottage on a great sceanery, The hosts were truly amazing and helpful at all times, and everything about the house is just great (bedroom, pool, animals, etc). The breakfast was truly amazing too, with homemade apple juice, jam, croissants, cheese and so on.
Pros: Could not recommend this BnB highly enough - the rooms are beautiful, big and clean; the hosts are wonderful and go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay; the breakfast was delicious, with loads of choice and most of it homemade!! (the prunes and the cake especially); the swimming pool and gardens are a lovely area to relax in and watch the donkeys/goats/cats/horse/Shetland/hedgehog go about their daily lives. Would really love to come back and would recommend this place to all.
Cons: Cannot think of any improvements...
Pros: suggestion for dinner was perfect, great breakfast, quiet location, a lot of room
Pros: A lovely, peaceful, spacious B&B, with pretty country views in every direction, delightful animals all around, and a charming and welcoming hostess, who offered all sorts of delicious homemade products for breakfast: we loved our stay!

Pros: Everything was so lovely. Owners were so hospitable
Pros: Excellent friendly hosts. Good breakfasts. The location was handy for the places we wanted to see. Very comfortable
Pros: The garden was so sheltered and beautifully unspoilt and the owners were so friendly and helpful. The bedroom was modern and spotlessly clean and the bed so comfortable we had an excellent nights sleep. We will certainly be back and will stay for longer. Our whole experience was excellent and we left far more calm than we arrived.....
Cons: Nothing it was all great
Pros: If you want to relax and chill this is fantastic. The hosts were superb and could not be more helpful. The food was excellent.
Cons: It’s small village location made a drive inevitable if missed booking dinner.

Pros: A pleasant atmosphere. An excellent breakfast. To be recommended.
Pros: Beautiful property and tastefully decorated
Cons: The toilet was not private you only had a dividing wall , this maybe ok with some people but for me I certainly don’t wish to hear my husband going to the loo nor him me.. Also there are bars on the windows which I felt was a death trap if a fire had broken out on the landing or stairs there was no way out..

Pros: The hosts were excellent and fell over to accommodate our wishes. The house is off the beaten track and very tranquil.
Pros: The surrounding area is stunningly beautiful. The swimming pool area is superb. However, best of all was the incredibly warm and friendly dinner we had with the owners: wonderful food; delightful company.
Cons: Maybe the offer of a welcome drink and/or something to eat would have been very well received as we had driven for 6 hours and had had nothing to eat since breakfast!!
Pros: Our hosts were absolutely charming. Beautiful room, comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Delicious breakfast. We also enjoyed a wonderful table d'hote meal with Ramonde and Jean Claude. An evening to remember.

Located in Cancon, Auberge Les Glycines is within a 15-minute drive of Lac de Lougratte and Lake Coulon. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Super friendly people and exceptional restaurant with excellent food and wine but ... dated and noisy room due to traffic on RN21.
Pros: The location was on the main road at the southern end of Cancon;it is sign posted at the north end.The bedroom was decorated with a style I approved of (not the boring magnolia and brown woodwork) and the bathroom was ok. The shower is to be recommended. An enclosed space age cabinet , good spray and multi jet...very Doctor Who .The evening meal was very good.
Cons: Breakfast was a little sparse but other than that no complaints.
Pros: The property was really lovely, good location for us, Thierry and Sylvia were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome, we would definite re-visit.
Cons: Not much really, the only thing perhaps would be a few more sun beds around the pool
Pros: Lovely hosts who really cared. Very characterful place which felt very regional. Hosts were very knowledgable about where to go.
Cons: Initially thought the place was a bit downbeat, but stayed 4 nights and left having really enjoyed the quirkiness of it.
Pros: Hotel and restaurant run by a lovely french couple, who were instantly welcoming and friendly. The female spoke no and the male spoke very little English (not a complaint) this at times made it hard to communicate with them as my French is lacking. However they persevered (with a little help from Google translate) to aid me with every aspect of my stay here. I ate one night in the restaurant attached and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and how well it tasted. Breakfast was a typical basic mini buffet, however the bread and croissant were fresh from the local bakery.
Cons: The town of Cancon is very small and offers very little as far as amenities and activities. It is essential to have transport in able to travel further for these. There are plenty of small towns around for these if needs be. Taxi fares around this region are very expensive and will cost you in the region of 100 euros+ to travel the short distance to the nearest airport. The hotel itself was dated and basic. It definitely tailored towards being away for the day and returning purely to rest.

Pros: Exceptional meal in the restaurant, beautifully cooked, excellent produce, attentive staff.
Cons: No real dislikes
Pros: very good bed.
Cons: Off season. We may have been the only guests. Restaurant closed, or on limited schedule. Construction in next door room. Missed day of room maid service. Kudos on electricity conservation, but the lighting was inadequate for reading, unless we used e-readers.
Pros: The overall experience was very good. Standard of customer service and due care very high . Restaurant was particularly excellent! Food amazing! Very knowledgeable lady who helped with food and wine choices.
Cons: I have no complaints!
Pros: Valentine's night menu v good. Room Spartan but clean and bed comfortable A relaxing stay.
Cons: No Tea making facilities in room.only one device at a time could use free WiFi
