Pros: This place is one of the few which totally surprised us - in a very good way. It is easy to find, nice appearance, easy parking. The owner took wonderfully care of us and the room and facilities were nicely decorated and clean. Bed was new and comfortable. We sure will be back when we visit the area next time.
Pros: Mana was very helpful and polite
Cons: There isn't a lot going on in the town, not many restaurants still open
Pros: Excellent breakfast with home made preserves
Cons: A fan in the room could be provided if possible
Pros: The welcome, the friendliness of the owner, the situation - within easy walking distance of the town centre. The room was very comfortable, spacious and quiet; breakfast was amazing, with freshly squeezed orange juice, croissant, brioche, bread and home-made 'pain perdu'. A fabulous and memorable stay!
Pros: Our stay was a pleasure. The room was individual and lovely. Our host was a warm and welcoming with a great sense of humour. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Cons: Nothing b
Pros: Charming host, super breakfast.
Pros: Very tranquil, house with charm, great breakfast, very short walking distance to centre of Saint Foy La Grande, kind and friendly host, room with everything you need.
Pros: On our trip to Belgium and also on our way back home to Portugal we stayed as usual into the B&B “Le point d´orgue” runned by monsieur “Manu”, so two nights. The B&B is located in the small village “Pineuilh”, it is a nice place and very quiet who makes from this location an unique place to spend the night, The breakfast served by monsieur Manu, is with allot of home made products and monsieur Manu is always good for serving a suprice at the breakfast, it is never the same, this is our proper experiance. Monsieur Manu is very friendly and helpfull, and we do like him allot, this is why we return to his B&B when we are traveling to Belgium. We do hope that we can stay more times in his house, un grand merci pour votre gentillesse Monsieur Manyu, Hans & Lucy.
Cons: Nothing to mention-.

Pros: Very secluded and homely ,charming place and very friendly hosts
Pros: Lovely location surrounded by vineyards. Interesting old limestone buildings. Interiors are modern, stylish and well-equipped including air conditioning, fridge and kettle. Walk-in shower excellent. Breakfast is outdoors if weather permits. Good basic bread and pastries but lots of additional items available including eggs cooked as you like to order. The hosts are very helpful and pleasant and both speak very good English.
Pros: Fantastic place to relax and chill out. The room was great, quiet and with a small terrace with a wonderful sunset views. The room has all what you need and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast is delicious with homemade jams! Didier & Antoinette were great, giving us all the information we required about the area. And Fiji, their dog is a lovely company too!
Pros: Good setting, modern and very nice
Cons: The dog :)
Pros: Made to feel very welcome. Didier & Antoinette were super helpful & friendly. Peaceful and picturesque location. Comfy rooms and beds. Great shower facilities- hot & powerful. Breakfast plentiful and fresh. Hosts were flexible & accommodating. A great base for us to explore the Dordogne & Gironde.
Cons: WiFi not strong & drops in & out (which sounds petty as we chose a rural location as wanted to experience this part of the French culture) we did though find it hard to plan our Immobilier/agent visits or receive calls from them which was crucial to our visit.
Pros: The warmth and love that Didier and Antoinette show each other flows into the fabric of your whole experience, so much so that we extended our one week stay to two. Being surrounded by beautiful views, sleeping in such comfortable beds, eating delicious breakfasts and swimming in a lovely pool, why would we look to move on. Their eye for detail shows in the beautiful decor of the rooms, which are kept meticulously clean. Our wonderful hosts were attentive, informative and very funny too. Looking forward to returning very soon.

Pros: We liked everything about our stay we were tired from travelling hadn't booked a meal and the owner very kindly made us something
Cons: Nothing to grumble about
Pros: The room itself was nicely appointed with a king-sized extra firm mattress.
Cons: The "garden view" suite was a view across a road to the owner's enclosed garden. The room was freezing when we arrived and pretty much stayed that way for most of our visit. The shower in the bathroom is really small and there is no bathtub. We were due to stay for four nights, but after the third night, the owner told us that we had to leave because we were too noisy and he couldn't sleep. This was truly bizarre, but we were so shocked that we didn't even try to protest. In the end it was a blessing because we moved to an absolutely delightful hotel in Saint-Emilion instead.
Pros: Views over the river. Peaceful setting.
Pros: Quaint little setting on the edge of a pond and in a vineyard area. Other guests got dinner and said it was delicious and homemade by the owner. Unique house and bedrooms. One man show, and very friendly. Little to no English though, we made it work still :) Parking was available out front.
Cons: For some reason the smoke detector in our room went off 10 times in the night at 3am. Closing the window seemed to help some but unsure of the cause.
Pros: The view over the river is wonderful, breakfast on the terrace is unforgettable.
Pros: Our host could not have been more helpful. And as it was a Sunday evening we were delighted when he offered us dinner on the terrace. It was a beautiful evening and we met other guests but most of all we had an outstanding meal cooked beautifully and served very attractively. What more could we have asked for.
Cons: It was all perfect for us - we had the opportunity to meet other guests in relaxed surrounds and with good food and hear others experiences of their journeys through the French countryside.
Pros: The terrace overlooking the Dordogne; the host/chef He prepared a delicious and elegant meal

The Tea House was an added bonus, everything we had there was delicious. A nice continental breakfast is served in the morning. We loved having the dogs around, made our stay even more special.
Pros: The property was beautiful and located on an amazing vineyard you can walk around in th evening while enjoying a glass of wine
Cons: The dinner menu was very basic. we would have like to stay there at night rather than venture out for food but the menu was too small so we had to go out.
Pros: Really enjoyed the peaceful stay! Unique place with good vibe. Extremely beautiful area.
Pros: A very peaceful and relaxing place. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, warm croissants every morning on the terrace. The pool and grounds were lovely, very quiet. We had supper one evening in the courtyard and sampled their wine which was delicious. I have to recommend the Chocolate Guinness cake. Jacqui was a wonderful host and made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
Pros: Location is beautiful, rural and a working vineyard. The chateau itself was lovely, simple and nice grounds. Out host Jackie ordered bikes from a local provider - we had a great time following the river rides. Did 2 of the rides from maps provided by the bike provider. Great fun. Wonderful way to see the surrounding area. Another of our group did the hike that takes you up the farm road, over the hill and into a nearby village. Worth it, he said.
Cons: We should have taken a car. The villa is located about 10 mins from the Velines train stop. Taxis aren't always available. The hostess is far too busy to run an alternative taxi service. Plus you need a taxi or a car to get to dinner. We didn't have a car - won't make that mistake again.

Pros: Exceptionally clean hotel with lovely quiet courtyard
Pros: Lovely fresh hotel in a great location.
Cons: Bar didn't seem open, when it did they didn't sell what we required.
Cons: When I confirmed my booking at a total price of €125.08 for 2 nights, I requested a ground floor room, if available as my husband is disabled. The hotel did not advise me the room I booked was on the 2nd floor! On arrival the hotel offered us the G/F at €85 + tax and also charged us €7 for parking in their garage (not indicated in the booking).
A stay at Hôtel Restaurant Le Victor Hugo places you in the heart of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, a 3-minute drive from Plage des Bardoulets and 13 minutes from Les Jardins de Sardy. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage.
Pros: The hotel was very quiet, great bed and shower.
Pros: I was only there for one night and left very early in the morning. The hotel was lovely and staff were friendly.
Cons: I don’t speak French and needed a taxi early next morning. I asked at reception if they could ring for me, but they said they couldn’t and were sure the taxi firm would speak English. They didn’t! I ended up texting my mother in England, who speaks some French and she rang and booked the taxi for me. I think the hotel could have been more helpful in that respect.
Pros: Central location-easy walking into the old parts of the town. Spacious room and bathroom.
Cons: Restaurant closed because it was a public holiday (not unusual in France).
Cons: No enough founiture. No lift no phone.

Cons: No off street parking. Accommodation entry needs updating.
Pros: Location, just in front of the train station (shame though no trains at the momment).
Cons: Inaccurate checkout time as we were asked to leave 1 hour before scheduled time, which was quite an inconvenience for us.
Pros: Great, comfortable place right opposite the station. Hosts are very friendly and the restaurant serves delicious meals.
Pros: The food was excellent, service excellent, room was really comfortable
Cons: To be honest you get what you pay for. It's simple, clean and very convenient
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Room and cafe/bar/restaurant area very clean. Room serviced daily. Comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water and excellent shower. "Plat du jour" lunch good. Directly opposite railway station, easy comms east/west. Wifi ok in cafe. Typical French small-town building with character. Overall, very happy with our stay. Town location ok for us as we have friends living in next village. Liked the old town in nearby Bergerac, and Libourne, both easy to get to by train.
Cons: Breakfast ok, but simple and maybe overpriced at 6.50. Steep stair....ok for us but a problem for anyone with restricted mobility. Nothing attractive about the town - almost everywhere shut Sundays, many places closed Mondays. Very poor local bus services (trains very good but not cheap) and no north-south public transport. The last two not the fault of the hotel
Pros: Great little traditional french hotel, large room , lovely breakfast, CLOSE TO TOWN WHICH HAD AN AMAZING MARKET ON SATURDAY
Pros: The simplicity of French accommodation. Situated conveniently near to the station if a little noisy. Menu du jour was substantial. Friendly staff who spoke English rather better than our poor French!
Cons: Location on the street meant that it was noisy in the morning but that was expected.
Pros: Please write at least 15 words
Cons: if you do arrive at the given check-in-times, but not at a specific time (which is not mentioned in advance) you have to wait outside of the hotel, call a french phone number and wait for about a half hour...
Pros: It was cheap and friendly, and provided a welcome break in a long car trip. It was exactly what we were looking for.
Pros: It was great, nice and helpful/welcoming host and hostess, a clean and comfortable room, an excellent and very good value meal in the evening. This is not a luxury hotel as the price indicates, it is however pleasant and quiet.
Pros: As we depended on rail travel, the Hotel was well situated opposite the Railway station; however access to the town was 5 minutes, so it was situated. The Hotel owners were very attentive and helpful. The Hotel is fairly basic, but is a good base.
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable, large bathroom with a window that you could open.
Cons: For the price the the breakfast was poor. No choice of fruit, yoghurt, cake, or cheese.

We were made to feel very welcome and could not have been treated better. A lovely spot, great location and a fantastic host!!
Pros: Nell was really kind and helpful and offered us lifts as we didn't have a car with us. The house was beautiful and our room was comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and there was a swimming pool, which I enjoyed. The garden overlooks the beautiful river. The village is a short walk away, across the bridge.
Cons: It was perfect for us because we were going to a wedding celebration at a nearby chateau, but it is quite remote, so if we had been staying longer we would have needed a car.
