9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully renovated farmhouse with all modern comfort. Veronique is a host in a different class - she knows how to take care of her guests
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had the best stay at Domaine the Janville. Beautiful place with absolutely most amazing staff. Veronique was so lovely and accommodating even though we can't speak French very well :) The room was amazing - super clean, beautifully furnished and our bed was very comfortable. We slept very well. Breakfast was lovely also. We wish we had stayed longer and definitely look forward to returning to Domaine the Janville
Cons: Everything was perfect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had a very warm, friendly and pleasant welcome. In the evening we enjoyed a good dinner at the restaurant in the nearby port, also owned by the hosts: Mr and Mrs Warin. The B&B room we had was extremely clean and the old ,,barn’’ was rebuilt/restored with great taste. The setting of the building was in a very quiet area, only some cows in the meadow nextdoor! Having travelled a lot around the world we fully recommend this B&B without any reservation.
Cons: Personally we would have liked softer mattresses! It seems that in general the beds in France are too hard for us! Maybe something to think about softer boxspring matresses one day for foreign visitors like Germans, Dutch etc. Also, we would suggest for the room downstairs to have a window ( with anti-insect screen) which can be opened at night for fresh air.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great host. She only spoke French but we communicated via Google translate and if was entertaining.

Pros: Character property which, although slightly dated, still retains a charm and has clean rooms (we were in the comfort/ superior room). The bed was very comfortable and the linen all soft and clean. The owner was also a delight. About 7 kms away is Restaurant Les Galets - a gastronomic delight. Extremely good food; perhaps not extremely exceptional (although we do live in London so probably have access to some of the world's best food)!
Cons: The bell at the front door could be made to work a bit better! ;)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Customer service was excellent. The owner was very nice and friendly
Cons: The room was very charming but looking a little tired and in need of redecorating

10.0 Excellent

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very warm French welcome, very much 'old style' hotel but very clean, just dont expect large new beds or spacious bathroom. Excellent 'continental' breakfst with the croissants and bread delivered at 5.30 that morning from the bakery! The town square and harbourside was a 5 minute walk away and for what was a dot on the Michelin map 'tres charmant' Ideal base to visit the local memorials and cemetaries commemorating the defense of the town after the Dunkirk evacuation.
Cons: Bed was a bit 'tired' but sheets and covers very nice.
6.7 Good
Pros: The proprietor was very helpful and the location is excellent
Cons: Outside belies the overall general shabbiness of the property inside and the fact the key would not lock the bedroom door ,

Pros: Amazing value for money! Highly recommend
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, a short walk from town centre and harbour. Plenty of parking. Pleasant view from rooms, either marina or garden. Efficient reception staff, especially Sandra who kindly found my mum's lost purse and thus saved our holiday single-handedly.
Cons: No complaints about the hotel itself, but some extremely noisy guests returned to their rooms at 3am and continued their revelry for the next hour or two. Sleep was impossible during this period. The nearby 'Irish pub' was a bit of a disappointment; I'm afraid that I couldn't see any signs of research to create an authentic atmosphere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!!! The location, the room, the restaurant, the helpfulness and courtesy of the staff. We couldn’t fault it in any way. Particularly since we didn’t speak French, the staff went out of their way to help us.
Cons: We loved everything!

Pros: We had coffee and croissants in room which was brilliant and a much more economical option that the full breakfast in the dining room. Juice, coffee, croissant, roll, butter and jam for 6 euro each.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The gentle lapping of the waves as we lay in bed late at night. Very Soothing! Very relaxing! Lots of beautiful villages a stone's throw away. The breakfast was of good quality and plentiful. The restaurant was obviously very popular although we didn't eat there.
Cons: Nothing.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast adequate. Dinner exceeded expectations - lovely seafood etc
Cons: nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is a typical sea side hotel. Great views of the sea and cliffs. Nicely placed between Fecamp and Tréport. Lots of lovely little villages in between even tho it was out of season. The hotel room was comfortable and clean and the restuarant was great. For the three nights that we stayed we were able to get different meals each day. And really good meals too. The staff were friendly and efficient and dealt with our quirks with good humour. Breakfast was typically French but very adequate. All in all we had a great stay.
Cons: The weather!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location right on the beautiful beach at Veulettes-sur-Mer. Friendly and helpful staff, who spoke English.
Cons: WiFi connection is terrible, as good as not having any wifi. Parking area does not belong to the hotel and is full most of the times. Rooms were a bit crunchy, and the furniture wasn't really kids-friendly. Breakfast was Okay, nothing great compared to similar hotels in France.
7.9 Good
Pros: Veulettes sur mer was so nice, close by the other famous cliffs but so relaxing and quiet
Cons: The room we got has 1 window on the side where wind does not blow in so the room was hot at night. After complaining they borrowed us a fan.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: quality/price more then expected......top location with top personnel
Cons: a little bit too warm in the rooms

7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was a little limited in choice but adequate. For example no cereal was available.

Cons: Limited choice at Breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Shower cubicle was on the small side. Otherwise all was good.
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff very welcoming and great location.
Cons: Bathroom was the smallest I have ever experienced. Good thing my wife and I are below average size. Sink, toilet and shower in a line and impossible for another to get in shower if toilet in use. Shower cubicle was extremely tight. Anyone of average size or above would struggle to squeeze in. The site photos deceived! Breakfast mediocre for price.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Free parking outside the hotel which was above a restaurant and right in the middle of the town/village, staff were nice and helpful
Cons: breakfast was a little pricey for not alot really
Hotel Des Bains - Veulettes-sur-Mer - Building
10
7.6 Good (846 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Hotel Des Bains in Veulettes-sur-Mer, you'll be on the beach and steps from Alabaster Coast. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good location. A quiet place. Friendly host.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Hotel owner was charming!
Cons: Rooms depressing. In need of redecoration as was the whole hotel. Poor facilities in room. Windows could not be left open because on ground floor level as they were like French windows and easy for burglars. My friend's room was very basic and bathroom smelt. Terrible breakfast - bread, jam, yoghurt and cocopops only. For 2 euros more we had a super breakfast at the nearby Hotel Fregate.
6.3 Good
Pros: This is a seaside hotel and some rooms have sea views. Ours was set on a corner with lovely sea views to the front and side. The seaside town is small and relatively quiet. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were firm (maybe hard). there was only one towel per person (no hand towels) and limited toiletries which seemed to be left over from previous residents. The shower was good if a little dated. There are several good restaurants nearby and a lovely beer bar. A little grocery shop/tabac nearby opens sporadically. There seems to be adequate parking and security does not seem to be an issue because the place is so calm and quiet. Lovely pebble beach to explore. Setting is a little like Etretat with white cliffs to either side of the bay but without all the built environment and urbanization of that place. Worth a visit. Don't be put off by the nuclear power station nearby, you can't see it from the town and it has no obvious impact on the place. There's a casino if you like to gamble.
Cons: The hotel is a bit overpriced for what it offers. The room was basic and the facilities of the hotel minimal (WiFi was OK). No restaurant or bar or tea/coffee making facilities so except for breakfast you must go outside for drinks and snacks etc. Breakfast was just a traditional breads, croissant and jam affair with some orange juice. Many French hotels have moved on from this to provide ham, cheese or eggs for example. Overall price inflated by 10-15 Euro compared with better hotels in nearby seaside towns.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The location is the only positive thing you can say about this Hotel
Cons: The furnishings were shabby, the decoration was slap dash and the shower was a disgrace - covered in black mould. The bread at breakfast was stale and obviously days old
5.4 Okay
Pros: beautiful beach with spectacular cliffs. Good restuarants. The hotel close to the see. The room itself was clean.
Cons: The view from the window - unkept roof area - with rusty elements. The strong smell of dampness in the room. Untidy corridor and stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly, quite location close to the beach, great breakfast
La Maison Des Galets - Saint-Valery-en-Caux - Bar
12
6.9 Good (523 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at La Maison des Galets in Saint-Valery-en-Caux, you'll be by the sea, just a 1-minute walk from Alabaster Coast and 13 minutes by foot from Maison Henri IV. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The view from the room with the sea view was brilliant
Cons: The room was a little basic, the bathroom had mould on the shower curtain and there was, what appeared to be a used bandaid, on the spare sheet in the wardrobe. The checkout is at 12 noon, but because reception closes at 10:30, we were asked to go down and pay at 10:30...but we were only told this at 10:30 when someone knocked on the door and assertively asked for payment. It would have been helpful for reception to tell us this information when we checked in.
7.1 Good
Pros: Our room looked out to the ocean. The nearby seawall is very pleasant to walk out on. The breakfast was good.
Cons: The balcony was too small to allow for chairs. The room itself was small. The bathtub was stained. The hotel is adjacent to a waterfront plaza which seemed a bit incongruous with a small French town.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Location amazing if you have a room with a sea view.
Cons: There was a lounge area with a sofa and chairs next to the breakfast room but it could only be accessed during breakfast and the check in period between 16:00 and 19:30. It would have been nice to have had access to it during the day, particularly if the weather was bad.
7.1 Good
Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed, hot shower, decent breakfast
Cons: A little tired - old carpets and peeling wallpaper
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was superb
Cons: The bathroom mirror lamp did not work. The bedside lamp was falling off the wall. The landing lamp on the first floor did not work
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the room had a balcony overlooking the sea.
Cons: There was no common area for playing games or reading. There was a sitting area next to the breakfast area but that area was locked most of the time.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: Booked 3 rooms none of which had doors on the wardrobe sized shower toilet rooms so you are on view while using the toilet. Ok for a one night stop. We stayed for 2 nights. Showers Not thermostatically controlled which wasn't great for our small children.
7.1 Good
Pros: Non-standard furniture, we liked the old style. The landscape is nice and that is why we stopped by on our way back from holidays. We were a bit surprised that many things in the city looked a bit as having had better times.
Cons: There is no door between the bedroom and the bathroom. A bit strange to have the toile practically in the room, however, we found an extra one on the floor downstairs.
5.8 Okay
Cons: there was no tea or coffee ,and no kettle
6.3 Good
Pros: The price was moderate .
Cons: The washbasin and shower were not separated from the bedroom .
6.7 Good
Pros: Cheap. Probably ok for a single night stay
Cons: The property was very and smelt musty obviously some damp/condensation in the room.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were helpful in offering us an alternative room even if it was only for one night.
Cons: The room we were originally offered was very poor - no separation between bathroom and bedroom and an alternative was only available for one night. The location wasn't the best. Breakfast was served at another hotel across the road. The breakfast itself was good but we were given chipped cups.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel looks not too good outside, but inside is absolutely comfortable, clean and charming.

Pros: Staff member was lovely and stayed up late to let us check in at midnight. Also he made parking available round back of hotel. Great location, in front of Friday Market and near to harbour
Cons: Toilet was outside room
5.4 Okay
Pros: Well situated. Very quiet. Easy parking.
Cons: The bed sunk in the middle. Very old bathroom no shower curtain...in need of renovation
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Cons: The room was 90 degrees, in an attic with just a little window, the blind would not pull down as it was broken and the sun was shining straight into the room. We noticed that most of the keys were still hung up so they were not full, so why give us a poky little attic room??????. As for balcony - what balcony???
6.3 Good
Pros: The cleanliness.
Cons: We arrived after 11pm, staff available only on the phone, nobody speaks English, waited long time outside in the rain for someone to open for us.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location and parking was very convienent , The price overall was good for the accomadation
Cons: It wasn't clear from the add that there was a shared bathroom and toilet or that it was an attic room
