Pros: Our hosts were lovely and gracious. We spent two relaxing days. The dinners were excellent. So nice to have home cooked meals while on the road. Having dinner with the hosts and guests was terrific. Home cooked pastries and breads for breakfast, eggs etc too. A true B&B experience. The property is designed with taste, attention to the smallest detail. Our room was spacious, comfortable, immaculately clean. The best are the hosts, a lovely couple who made us feel welcome in their home. We will definitely return!
Cons: There is absolutely nothing to complain about...
Pros: The hosts were very forthcoming. They also helped me in finding walking tracks and lend me plenty of their maps. The tips for tracking and visiting the area were great!
Pros: Great breakfast Refreshments and cake on arrival
Cons: We got lost as not on GPS - should have used Ways
Pros: Home made marmelade, home made cakes, even home made honey! Exceptionally delecious baguette! You feel so welcome, you get good advice (i.e. where to have dinner, where to have a trip), the hosts are really helpful, warm-hearted and they do the best possible to make your stay unforgettable (i.e. they trusted us with one of their card games to take along to the restaurant) Thumbs up for a great memory!
Cons: To me and my son, it was a perfect stay! Nothing to criticise at all! Such lovely people!
Pros: A beautiful building in a delightful setting with open views over the village (just a short walk away) and on to the Rhone Valley. The building has been beautifully restored and with modern facilities sympathetically incorporated into the historic fabric of the building. Our hosts were extremely warm and welcoming and were very helpful in giving advice on places to eat in the area. The breakfast was really good, with so much that was home-made. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.
Pros: Lovely helpful people Beautiful breakfast
Pros: Clean, beautiful house in such an unspoilt area, with lovely kind hosts (and delicious breakfast!)
With a stay at this cottage in Longes, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Pilat Regional Natural Park and Domaine George Vernay. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The welcome fantastic and the rooms were stunning. Fantastic views Great food and brilliant hosts. We loved this hotel and would go back again next time we venture through France.
Pros: Super nice staff. Very good food- excellent chef and menu with very good value . Great flexible staff- location beautiful although far from main road.
Cons: A huge minus was the room we booked had NO window to the outside but to a gym with jacuzzi (that could have been used by anyone). An this for over 140 EUR. This was a bit a disappointment and it should be advertised.
Pros: Great hospitality in an authentic French atmosphere! Rooms are clean and convenient. The restaurant is foreseen of qualityful local products! I highly recommend this place for people who enjoy a relaxing calm place in the nature.
Pros: We stayed in the lower floor two bedroomed apartment which was luxurious and spacious with a characterful bathroom. This offers privacy and very spacious accommodation with brilliant views over the countryside. The hosts were brilliant and extremely welcoming and went to the effort of providing a delicious platter of food when we arrived; even when the restaurant was closed. We then ate in the restaurant the second night and really enjoyed a delicious selection of food. The breakfasts were excellent and freshly prepared. The adjoining field has two donkeys and we enjoyed going to speak to them every day!
Pros: Hospitality of owners quality of the property
Cons: Expected more from breakfast
Pros: nothing this was a waste of time boring
Cons: no wifi no restaurant choice(only one "plate" tv programs only in french
Pros: Diner and breakfast were exceptional. The hosts are extremely friendly, you feel home. A fantastic view.
Cons: Bed a little bit hard for me.

Located in Saint-Paul en Jarez, Hôtel Restaurant Eclosion is within a 15-minute drive of Pilat Regional Natural Park and Zoological Area Saint-Martin La Plaine. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely room and outstanding food
Pros: The Room itself was ok.
Cons: The room was on the third floor with no elevator. There was not even a bottle of water for us there. I may be way off when I say that if you book a room on a chateau with restaurant you would expect that they have a table for a paying guest. And if one would not eat there they could sell it. But no ! Whole restaurant was booked they said. So don’t expect the royal treatment at this place. That is reserved for people who pay twice the price that you get on a good day with booking.com. For what it was ok.
Pros: A big room and bathroom Nice garden
Cons: No elevator, the restaurant was closed during our stay (wasn,t informed about that) We expect that the stuff can speak English
Pros: Very comfortable and spacious boutique room. The restaurant is fabulous, but ensure you book a table when booking the room if you intend to eat.
Pros: The staff were lovely and the hotel and grounds beautiful.
Cons: Breakfast was €14 for some bread fruit & cereal. No eggs, even boiled. Far too expensive for what we had to eat & in comparison with other hotels. I could not connect to the internet at all
Pros: Large and modern rooms, large double bed, nice garden, pretty building. Very good continental breakfast.
Cons: The wifi didn't work
Pros: Recently renovated “chateau”, not far from the Route Du Soleil. A great stopover for travelers on their way to the South of France. Rooms are very reasonable priced, and prices vary by room. Nice garden and lounge sets. The restaurant offers a exquisite menu, ranging from 8 course set menu to an extensive tasting menu. Eu 58 for the 8 course tasting experience is real good value for money.
Cons: The staff focuses on the restaurant. The hotel could do with a bit more TLC. Guests appreciate a smile. A bit of tidying up the garden and putting the cushions on the lounge sets just makes the difference between perfect and sloppy.
Pros: Very nice Chateau and great view from the room! Garden has a beautiful lake. Very nice breakfast, very good coffee
Cons: Room had very cheap renovations. Just a lot of cardboard. Shower stood in the room. Even the toiletseat was the cheapest you could buy in the shop....

Pros: Good house. Very friendly personal.
Cons: far from city
Pros: I like the place where is at,great location and also great view as well, the owner were amazing, looked after me amazing from the moment I stepped into the door and we had a great conversation too, first time to be in a house hotel, I will definitely recommended to other people,I get hotel all the time but from now on I will change because you get to talk to the people more and also you get look after really good too
Cons: There is nothing I didn’t like about this place,I was all smile all the time
Located in Pelussin, Le Berthoir is in a rural location, within a 5-minute drive of Pilat Regional Natural Park and Parc Naturel Régional du Pilat. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast was fine although meat & cheese could be better, the pool & riverside seating was especially welcome & the stomach remedy was a relief
Cons: Our room which was at the top of stairs ( facing ) had what is called an open bathroom ( sink & shower in room ) the toilet was closed but in order to be seated in the toilet it was neccesary to prepare yourself before closing the door as the gap between the toilet bowl & the doorjamb is too small, it was mentioned to Patrice but he seemed to think it amusing, also their are no shutters and in July ( when we were there) the sun comes in about 5am, the only advantage of this is we were able to get on the road earlier than normal.
Pros: Beautiful property in an idillic location. Patrice was extremely tentative and his wife cooked us a fabulous home cooked meal.
Pros: Very friendly host and other guests. Good dinner.
Cons: Would have preferred lower level room.
Pros: The host and hostess lovley. Food was fresh and good. Venu fantastic rooms brilliant .
Pros: Good communication
Cons: The dinner and breakfast was not good
Pros: We loved the kind and caring owners!
Pros: The setting was pretty and very picturesque.
Cons: The narrow stone stairs were very difficult to navigate while carrying suitcases. Use of the pool was limited and we didn’t feel welcome to use it. There were things we felt the host could have been more helpful about; ie, we told them we would be going out for dinner and it would have been helpful to know that many restaurants are closed on Monday night or that you need a reservation. Without good command of the French language it is difficult to make reservations by phone and we would have appreciated some assistance. We ended up not finding anywhere for dinner that night.
Pros: Really nice stay and calm location not far from each kind of services. The host is very kind and can suggest what to visit.

Saint-Charmond Train Station is 5 km from the hotel and Saint-Etienne is 17 km away. Private parking is free on site and the hotel is accessible via the A47 motorway.
Pros: Very nice little hotel with the friendliest staff ever. Quiet, good location.
Pros: A nice surprise in the middle of nowhere. Run by a lovely family who is very helpful in a town not easy to have access to stuff.
Pros: Family room, location close to the highway, free parking, good breakfast
Cons: Nothing. We stayed for one night while on the road across France, and for this, the hotel was perfect
Cons: I don’t understand the high mark. The people are very nice. Really kind and friendly. But the room is not so good. It is old. There is much noice but not in the night. Like the walls are made of paper. It is cold in the room. The shower stops halfway, in the afternoon as well next morning. The bed is hard. Breakfast is very good and again with nice people. So a 8.3? No, for me this is a 7. Because of the very nice people.

Pros: Excellent Staff, they even lent us towels for our bride at her wedding location , location very easy for wedding. Easy check in - wonderful experience. Ample parking
Pros: Very friendly staff, bigger room upstairs with the fridge.
Pros: Good bteakfasts,helpful staff
Cons: Thought towels could have been changed. They were only changed after first night and then not..even those that we left on the floor because they were very wet.

Pros: The team
Pros: Staff and management are amazingly kid and helpfull
Cons: TV didnt work Ac/ heating was so noisy couldnt sleep
Pros: Clean and comfortable with friendly staff.
Pros: Cheese plate we ordered at the restorant was excellent.
Cons: Noise from the highway, not all the staff speak foreign languages, no tv channels on english, the bathtub was not properly installed.
Pros: The staff was very nice and helpful. Food was pretty good, good value for money. Room was really clean and quiet (towards the parking and not towards the highway)
Cons: Bed not very comfortable. Bad backache because of it. Mattress should be changed room 108. Neighbors upstairs very noisy but that was not the hotel's fault.
Pros: Great location with plenty of parking. New room was comfortable and good surfaces for belongings.
Cons: Dinner not served on Sunday nights anymore which was not mentioned on the website and we booked this especially due to the dinner being available. We have stayed here a few times and have usually been travelling for 6-8 hours, so we need somewhere with an evening meal. Had we known they had stopped doing evening meals on Sunday, we would have booked elsewhere. Staff didn't suggest where we could eat but luckily there are services next door but we had to walk there in terrible wet and windy weather, so not ideal.
Pros: food and staff in the restaurant were excellent
Cons: Road noise from Motorway in back ground all the time

Take a break in our budget DUO or TRIO rooms.A low-cost hotel that includes free WIFI, private indoor parking, and all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet.
Cons: Very small, hot, noisy at night
Cons: It was like camping without canvas. Shower cubicles and toilet cubicles at the end of the corridor - no towels supplied, Ultra-basic facilities but not any cheaper than Premierre Class. There were what appeared to be Romanian families camping on the grass outside the hotel.
Pros: very close to highway, standard F1hotel, with friendly staff , good choice for us

Continental and buffet breakfast options are available daily at the hotel. Lyon is 49 km from Les Ambassadeurs, while Saint-Étienne is 13 km away. Pros: Close to my work Smiling team
Cons: Noisy neighbors
Pros: Clean comfortable room, nice staff, central location
Cons: Breakfast wasn’t good, hardly anything to eat even though there was only a few other guests staying at the hotel. Sunday breakfast was better as there was a lovely lady cooking it instead of the usual person.
Pros: The owner or duty manager was very helpful. I spoke no French - he no English of German, but eitherway I called ahead and managed to splutter my arrival time of 21:30h On arrival, the place looked closed (in fact Google maps states its permante closed) but after I ´phoned again, the duty manager or owner came immediately to the door, let me in, swiped my card and handed me a key. The room was a decent size, the bed (surprisingly) large enough and firm and seeing it was very warm that night, the thin bedding was ok. The location (Centre of St Chamond) was perfect for my needs. I could park on the street opposite the entrance.
Cons: The building is old - and feels it. Maybe the term "seen better days" might apply. Cleanliness, ware and tear is typical for older French buildings if you know what I mean. The shower drips , the shower head (I don´t remember the room number) hangs like a limp wrist and nozzels totally blocked with limescale. My room (1st Floor) with a large double window out to the main road had a tempoary chipboard window sill, which I think had been there for some years. It was very noisy, especially as all night long, cars and teenagers went through the town tooting and rejoicing which I thnk had something to do with a local footbal result... (nothing to do with the hotel) I left at 07:00am and therfore missed breakfast as it started at 07:30h - but your never far away from a bakery...
Pros: The welcome from staff
Cons: Breakfast lacked fruit. No air conditioning
Pros: Central location.
Cons: Dirty. No hot water for shower. Exposed electrical connections in room so dangerous. Common parts tired and musty.
Pros: Carpets not vacuumed, stains on spare pillow in the ward-robe. mould in shower . No hot water for showers anytime of the day. Didn’t eat breakfast as not impressed by cleanliness of hotel. Asked for twin bed room and had a double bed instead for my son who is 17 years old and myself. Felt the lodgings were expensive for the lack of quality.
Pros: No frills hotel. Room was functional for family of 3 but that is all I can say about our stay.
Cons: Shower curtain would have been useful. No Coffee in room.
