Pros: Pat, Ray and Groupie are the perfect hosts. Very welcoming, great communication before and after our stay. We stayed on a Sunday. Prior to our stay, Pat and Ray had emailed us to let us know that there wouldn't be a restaurant/shop open in the village by the time we arrived on our bicycles. Ray and Pat were brilliant, they booked us a table at a restaurant in the next town and Ray gave us a lift there and back (to save their legs for the next leg of the cycle tour). Our accommodation was beautiful and breakfast the next morning was delicious. Thank you for looking after us. Highly recommended

Pros: The breakfast was excellent in a very pleasant setting overlooking fields. The place would be of interest to those who enjoy horses as lots of equestrian activity appeared to be possible. There were horses stabled there too. The room was comfortable at the top of the house, if a little small. We were greeted warmly and shown to our room. We had a meal in a restaurant in a nearby town which was recommended and booked for us too. The grounds and setting were very pleasant.

Pros: The lady (perhaps she was the proprietor?) who greeted us on arrival was excellent and welcoming - she spoke English but was also understanding with my efforts to speak French! I mislaid my watch and she went to great efforts to help find it. The evening meal was delicious - a real taste of Normandy. Our waitress in the restaurant was very helpful - all in all, the staff were pleasant (including monsieur at breakfast) and we recommend a stay in this beautiful area of Normandy.
Cons: we liked everything!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the main square of the village overlooking the bakery (which does the most delicious rum baba) Pleasant staff, both the owners and the waitresses for dinner Good food (we had dinner 2 nights) - local dishes (apple features a lot!) in set menus with extra "amuse buche" at good value; and the dining room is a lovely setting Room comfortable and quiet Continental breakfast extra, but good value and tasty
Cons: The description of the room and offerings was rather flattering; not as large as suggested, no toiletries apart from a shoe shine. The room wasn't cleaned that well - bed made but basin and used glasses not cleaned The lady of the hotel spoke English, but no-one else really did - a challenge to my lousy French! A slightly strange lay out to the building; apart from during the day you had to go outside to go back in for the reception and restaurant

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Stayed one night to break journey home to England. Good location, clean & modern.
Cons: Breakfast was OK but only croissants & French bread which was freshly baked, but some fruit etc. would have been welcome. Only 1 cup of tea or coffee offered.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel is on the (quiet) main road into town, but our room was at the back, overlooking some old buildings and a garden, so was very peaceful. It was tiny, with a small double bed and a compact en suite bathroom, but for 65 euros that's perhaps not surprising. Breakfast, which was an extra 7.90 euros per person, was fine: fresh bread and pastries, bottles of cold orange juice, yoghurt and excellent coffee. I chose Sées because it made a good stopping point between Gascony and Calais, and I hadn't expected it to be so pretty and historically interesting. The cathedral, which is a five-minute walk from the hotel, is stunning, and it's worth taking a little stroll through the streets surrounding it: the town must have been very wealthy several centuries ago, judging by the grand maisons de maître.
Cons: The previous occupants' dirty towels were still hanging in the bathroom.
10.0 Excellent

7.0 Good
Pros: The food was excellent. The surroundings beautiful and restful. The local town/village had a Saturday market. The venue was only a few minutes diversion from the main route to the South West. in fact we were just going down to the Loire Valley. It is also a comfortable driving distance from Calais. If you do decide to give the placer a go do make sure to view the church in Sees it is a truly remarkable piece of architecture.
Cons: We chose this place because it was cheep, only an overnight stay and looked interesting. It was all of these things but it really needs a bit of an update. Of course this would result in a price hike so all in all its not a bad trade off. I would say the room etc was quite adequate, especially for an over night stay but I probably would not want to stay for much longer. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was quite small and the bed a bit suspect not the most comfortable but again quite acceptable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, great all over. Nice place to stay, relax and eat

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Old world feel. Good breakfast. Friendly host once she accepted we had booked a room.
Cons: Needing to pay cash. Difficulty getting there. Inability to lock outside door to unit.
7.5 Good
Pros: A beautifully restored chateau in extensive grounds. We enjoyed wandering around the wooded area in the morning. The rooms were grand and beautiful. We played our games in the green out the front. The owner was very welcoming and friendly.
Cons: It was over priced for our needs really. We were looking for a stop over and had booked the bubbles, but they were both too far away from each other to accommodate our family of 5 so we stayed in two adjoining rooms. It's more of a Romantic getaway, really. The breakfast was mediocre, with very dry brownies, bread and jam.
7.5 Good
Cons: Lack of restaurant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had one night in this beautiful chateau. Idyllic and relaxing location. Historic Chateau full of character, and therefore a special experience. Very spacious room. Very friendly hosts. Couples and families equally welcome. A special place.

Pros: Beds were really comfortable and room was spotless. Staff were friendly and the chef is excellent. The evening meal was delicious as was the breakfast. Lots of homemade jams too. A great hotel - good value too. There is parking behind the hotel so our motorbike could be tucked away out of sight from the central square. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again if we do another motorbike tour.
Cons: Everything was great.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was good as an overnight stop over on the way home, the staff were very friendly and we had a good meal considering they don't open the Bar/Restaurant to the public on Monday, just for the people staying in the hotel and basic menu. Breakfast is simple continental but adequate.
Cons: You can only use one device for wifi per room.

Pros: Friendly staff, good food, well located.
Cons: The room was a little cramped. The bathroom was too small - you couldn't get to the toilet without squeezing past the washbasin and shutting the door first. I could not use the shower as the was super hot and I couldn't regulate it.

Cons: Everything if a little tired. The room had too many chairs and no place to put our clothes. The restaurant is very expensive.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Charming small hotel in a very pretty historic town just minutes from the main north /south route. The owners are excellent hosts and , although the bedrooms are on the small side ,they are very clean & comfortable with nice touches like bath robes & slippers and fresh fruit, bottled water & snacks. The restaurant menu is superb, although a little pricey, but the quality & choice of food was very good. And the wine list - wow. We didn’t want breakfast so just had fresh coffee served with little homemade cakes and we’re offered fresh fruit for our journey. We’ll definitely put it top of our list for next time we’re in the area.

7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was ample in the public area out front, the location was central.
Cons: The room, although a good size, felt very bland and was a bit noisy. The bathroom, again was a good size but only had a bath, the shower head didn't have a place to fix it to the wall - very easy to fix this. Service in the brasserie was a little slow and the food only satisfactory, this is contrary to other reviews so perhaps an isolated incident.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Good off street parking in front of town hall. Central location.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Room was spacious and the Brassiere food and staff were excellent
Cons: The room we were allocated stunk of cigarette smoke although it is a non smoking hotel. We complained to the lady on reception. She did not offer us another room and her only question was did we smoke. We opened the windows wide and left them open all evening. The smell had gone by the time we had an evening meal. However when we got into bed the sheets and pillows smelt of smoking. We were very disappointed and would have expected another room or a deduction. The hotel overlooks the square which is used for a Sunday market. The receptionist did not tell us we could not park on the square on a Saturday evening / Sunday morning as it is used for the market on a Sunday. We would have thought this was essential. The curtains did not fit correctly and were hanging off the curtain rails. As the street lights on the square are kept on all night the room was like daytime all night. A lovely hotel but staff need to be more aware.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Having struggled to find accommodation on 2 nights on our cycling trip in Normandy we prebooked this hotel on booking.com. It was perfect in every way. Safe parking for our bicycles, wonderful clean room & magnificent bistro. We partook of Sunday lunch before heading to an outdoor concert in the park. The next day we cycled 40 miles to a 70th birthday celebration at Huttopia in Senonches. After 2 nights of celebration we returned to Hotel Du Dauphin where we spent another pleasant evening before heading back to the UK.
