Pros: Seaview, nature and friendly family
Cons: Using the adress in Google maps leads you to the wrong location! This also happened to other guests we spoke to.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a beautiful room with direct view to the ocean. Room and bathroom were absolutely clean and well-maintained. Lots of natural materials are used for the interior design of the whole property. Beds were very comfortable, too. Excellent breakfast together with the host family. Great variety of local food (some even home-made and very tasty!) served next to the pool with extraordinary view to the ocean. The host family was very friendly and helpful - we felt very comfortable and welcome here! Should have stayed longer than one night.

7.5 Good
Pros: Style of the lodge, welcoming and authentic . Bathroom (bath only, no shower) with view over Indian Ocean on a sunny day - but most days are cloudy. Lovely fireplace, and very nice personnel
Cons: Breakfast really nice but dinner disappointing: expensive and not really good- trying to do food with a twist- but not really succeeded. Beware: the road is long, twisty and narrow - get there before dark!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Views and fauna.
Cons: Would be great to pay more attention for interior and landscape design details and restaurant cuisine.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location, the view is amazing
Cons: Dinner: not all dishes was available, i ordered a duck civet and I received the worse part of the animals( the paw, 1/3 of the wings, etc) Breakfast : poor for a 4 stars hotel. The end of the service was 10am, I arrived at 9...no salmon, no cheese, no pancake were remaining. I asked for some pancakes...I didn' t received any answer from the waitress...
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Diana Dea Lodge is reached via a seemingly never-ending narrow winding road through fields of sugar cane until you reach a gate and find yourself inside a game reserve where the lodge sits like a sophisticated retreat high above the villages on the slopes up to the volcano. High quality place, fantastic views, space and comfort, excellent food and wine, and wonderfully helpful people. What more can you ask for.
Cons: Arriving at Diane Dea Lodge after dark, the narrow road seems to never end. It is not steep nor on a precipice, but the idea of meeting someone and having to back up makes it almost like something out of an adventure park.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The interior design of the hotel is amazing. Really loved how they implemented functionality with beauty with amazing!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owners were extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. Also, the location is excellent as it is only 30 minutes to the airport, and 1 few minutes from the coast (there is no beach on the east coast). Distances to Salazie, the volcano and other sightseeing highlights are very manageable by car.
Cons: As the property is in a small village, it would be nice to have had access to a washing machine rather than travel to a nearby town and use a laundromat.
9.2 Excellent

Cons: Nothing

4.6 Okay
Pros: The room, although quite dark had a comfortable bed & the bathroom was clean.
Cons: The booking.com site indicates onsite parking. We were told to park in the street. We asked where we could eat dinner. We were told & it was closed! When we pointed this out we received a shrug & were told everywhere, except take away pizza closed. We got a take away pizza. There is no garden, unless you call plants against walls a garden.

Lodge d'Eden - Bras-Panon - Patio
7
8.0 Excellent (105 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Lodge d'Eden in Bras-Panon, you'll be 12 minutes by car from Champ Borne. Free self parking is available onsite.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The owners were friendly. The bathroom was spacious and modern. The wifi was good. The gardens and grounds were well kept. Air conditioner was fairly new and worked well.
Cons: Getting to this accomodation was an experience in itself. After the freeway we made our way through suburbia, until we reached a rough narrow road with sugar cane on both sides, just when we were wondering if the gps had sent us on a wild goose chase we saw a sign for Lodge d’eden. About 100 metres up the road, just in front of the wrecked graffitied car we found the lodge. We arrived at 3pm presuming that we would be able to get in to our room only to find that the lodge was closed. Another couple were parked in front. They told us that they rang the lodge and we’re told check in was not till 4.30 pm and they would need to go away. In shock I read our booking and there in fine print it did say 4.30 and we noted check out was 9am. Never in my years of travelling have we found such late and early checking times. We did manage to get in about 4.00 by following a woman through the door and explaining that we were unaware of the check out time. We were required to pay in cash in advance and despite info on booking.com stating credit card facilities were available We were told the machine was broken. ( I thought this was very convenient for them ). Fortunately I had enough cash but as it was our last night in La Reunion this may not have been the case. It was then that we found out that the restaurant was closed on Monday despite nothing in booking.com to indicate this. As all the reviews raved about the Buffett for dinner this was disappointing. Because the lodge is so isolated restaurants were a fair way away and being Monday it was pretty limited in choices. The bed was very small and 2 single vinyl mattresses put together wasn’t that comfortable, the rooms were noisy as you could hear people walking on the floor boards in the adjoining rooms and being a rural area the roosters were crowing pretty early. Thought 10 euro for breakfast a bit steep since basically fruit and bread and jam. No cereal or egg.
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable shower, very nice staff. Unfortunately it was raining so we couldn't make use of the outdoor furniture or whirlpool.
Cons: The matrass. Not very comfortable, matrass and pillow cracking everytime you moved. (It had the plastic layer around). 'hidden' charge of additional cleaning fee.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lodge D’eden is a really cute little guesthouse. It feels comfortable and cozy. We really enjoyed having a homemade dinner at the same table as the other guests every night and the inevitable rum tastings that followed dessert! Our room, “ylang ylang”, has an excellent sized bathroom with plenty of counter space and a nice multi-function shower. The couple who run the place are very friendly and go out of their way to give you a good experience.
Cons: We did struggle a bit with a language barrier, although Booking.com suggests that they speak English at the property, we didn’t come across anyone there who could. That being said, we managed to communicate fairly easily and they are so friendly and helpful that it was really barely an issue at all! Just needed a little help from our friend, google translate
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly host and place. Excellent food. Nice spot close to the hotel for small (or not) walk.
Cons: All good, but should you come with a infant (as we did) I would recommend to reserve the new room of bigger size (the 3 original rooms in wood are noisy when walking (or with a stroller...)). Bed is ok but was too small for me (But Im 1m93 tall))
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Extremely Friendly snd helpful staff - attention to detail in rooms and gardens was great creating an amazing atmosphere!
Cons: Plastic covers on mattress and pillows

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, married couple owning the property was very nice.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location for excursions to the Volcano or the Forêt de Bélouve. Simple but clean room with fridge and private bathroom in a quiet area at the end of a blind alley. A dehumidifier helps dealing with moist weather conditions due to consistent rainfall every evening during rainy season. Hosts are reserved but friendly, they even arranged an earlybird breakfast for us when we left early for the Volcano. We also tried the offered dinner (3 courses for €25 all inclusive) which we would highly recommend - authentic kréole-style cuisine served on the covered patio, good wine and a „formidable“ rhum arrangé!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
3.3 Mediocre

Cons: Access it’s really secluded, room very small , bed very small, cleaning not great: dead cockroach welcomed us in bathroom
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Large room with good quality bed, nice chairs and little table, as well as a fridge and kettle in the room. Good coffee and fresh croissants for breakfast.

Always 2 rooms has a shared bathroom. Breakfest were were simple but good contains of french bagguete, butter, jam, fresh fruit - pineapple, coffe and tea.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Lovely looking property, close to trailheads, however we were moved room for a couple staying two nights (same as us!) to a dingy twin room with beds fit for children. The host is lovely but this place is quite filthy...shame
Cons: Dirty. The breakfast room looked like a party of elephants had trampled it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Host cooked excellent traditional meals for us, loved it! The owner is a nice person who likes to share with travelers, we learnt interesting things about Reunion, places to go, anecdotes...
Cons: Bed sheets kind of old.
Chez Clain - Saint-André - Bedroom

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, microwave in a common area, and refrigerator in a common area. 6.7 Good
Pros: It worked well for us as a family, because we had 2 rooms and the rest of the floor to ourselves. There was a kitchen for self catering purposes and a games room. Good view down the slopes all the way to the sea.
Cons: It is difficult to find and quite a bit to drive off the main roads, as a tourist you do need GPS/google maps. If there is a function (this is a wedding venue) and guests sleep over it might be noisy and a bit too crowded to enjoy the balcony and the facilities.
7.5 Good
Pros: I had only huge problem to find the location - the coordinates were perfect, but the maps in my navigation useless. I lost my way and was rescued by a pair of local people who called the hotel owner. He was there in five minutes and I followed him to the proper site. Without the help, I would never find it!
4.2 Okay
Cons: The description on booking is not true at all!! No balcony, no view, no TV in the rooms.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The owner of Chez Clain was wonderful! He was so accommodating when we overbooked our stay and even offered us late checkout since we had an evening flight. I would definitely recommend to any traveler looking for a cozy stay.
4.6 Okay
Cons: I didn’t like the location, it’s very far, the public transport every hour and at 6pm, there is no public transport also on Sunday.
