The dinners were nice, good food. The service was good, too. The hotel is close to a beautiful park/ lake. Free access to internet. The view from our window - cars and ugly buildings. ; the bathroom - the shower design leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe the restaurant menu should be more diverse - not everyone likes potatoes, I don't. Our Friday and Saturday nights were disturbed by the guest of the parties of your hotels. Soya milk + some gluten free products by breakfast would be nice too.
Nice and friendly staff. The offered internet connection was to slow. No value.
The genuine danish breakfest, low built hotel for those who may not want to ride in lifts, the beautiful surroundings, hdtv and free internet. Lack of parkinglots outside.
That there were smoking rooms.
The hotel is situated in a nice location and the rooms with lake view are nice too. The hotel's restaurant had a pretty limited selection of food and the staff wasn't very professional.
The best for me and my family was the service we got from the personal. They are willing to speak another language which was very helpfull. Also at the recepcion desk the really try to accomodate our needs as a family.
Welcoming hotel with good food and in a good location to break the trip from ntherlands to sweden. excellent views over a nature park.
Personal approach and calmness. All was good.
Bandholm hotel has nice & clean rooms, parking space on the site, very pleasant staff and just baked bread as a choice for breakfast. The rooms in the annex building are fine for guests who do not mind hearing some noises/voices from the neighbouring rooms.
very quiet, nice surroundings no alcoholic drinks (no wine at dinner)
Nice hotel buildings in a pretty village close to the ocean. Funny smell in the room, but not to bad. Missed eggs and "dark bread" for breakfast.
The people working there were friendly and service minded. Extremly poor breakfast. Non-alcoholic hotel but you couldn´t find that out on the web site.
Nice rooms with good beds. Cosy place for a good nights sleep. Lots of mosquitoes during the dark hours.
Very good location to explore the islands. The room is basic, you need to bring your own showergell, shampoo and hairdryer, but I think you get good value for money in this hotel. The restaurant is also very good, the selection is small but the dishes served are very tasty and prices are good.
Very friendly staff. Good restaurant
The main building is wonderfully old and tastefully decorated. The room itself was perfectly fine and quiet - on the side away from the street. The breakfast featured some wonderful bread and cheese. The proprietress was friendly and gave us good information about catching the ferry to Germany the following morning. Not a problem with the hotel, but there aren't any restaurants nearby, other than a pizzeria. We had to drive about 10 km to the next town and hunt up a place, which wasn't easy on a Sunday night.
The staff. Everyone was very kind and helpful. While there I found out it was designed by my best friend\s mother, and that my best friend Henrik Sejr-Jorgensen was born there. Very speial for me as I had come over for his funeral in Nykobing last Thursday, and thanks to the volcano, am still in Denmark, which I enjoy.
Staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was quiet and peaceful It would have been nice to have some more printed information on the immediate area
A little out of the way.No facilities. Not open late. Rooms ready for refurb and could have been cleaner!
The hotel has a homely atmosphere and is situated in a beautiful garden in a residential area. It is close to a forest and there are nice foot paths along the fjord and in the forest. Our rooms were nicely decorated and furnished. The breakfast was simple but good, and they delivered willingly to our request for boiled eggs, without a supplementary charge. The hotel is a bit out of the way. It is more like 30 min. than 5 min. walk from the city centre. To avoid disappointment you must book dinner well in advance. The rooms are very small, you only have a small meter of free floor space around the double bed.
Hotel was no more than adequate. Our room was not cleaned or serviced at all during our 3 night stay. Our duvets were changed after I complained of blood spots on mine, discovered when we went to bed on our first night. No explanation was given on how to operate the central heating, towels were small and thin. On arrival were were given our key and pointed in the direction of the room, and it was only about 5.30pm! No offer of help with bags etc.
As a previous guest noted the hotel provides a good (price/performance) base for further travel into Europe without any added fuss but do not expect anything more. Friendly staff and clean but rather worn.
Close to the road to the ferry to Germany The unpleasant staff, the bad and expensive food ( dinner ) , 3 EU for tapwater , the prices of the room, the room itself.
Room clean and service good. Room is a bit too small for a family of 4.
nothing To arrive and find out reception is closed despite huge signs outside stating 24 hrs! , a phone call to the manager later and i was told i was late and to check in using a automatic key dispenser which was like something from the 70s. We did not bother staying for breakfast, just keen to move on quickly.............I run 3 hotels myself and i can say from experience this was my worst experience, they owners obviously must be quite relaxed as they are near the ferry to Germany and have a captured audience. I only stayed because of location. I did not see anybody from the hotel staff only some drunk male guests running around the corridors with no clothes on, not the best thing for my 4 year old daughter to see.......
the bed i had was backbreaking , the sheets dubious and tha pellow had the consistance of one folded toiletpaper . absolutely not the rest one is lookig for after one 9 hour journey . i know that danmark is more expensive than the rest of europe , but a good bed can be expected anywhere . this horwl has had his best time .
Convenient location close to the ferry. Nice staff.
It was a hotel close to Rödby ferry harbor. It was a close distance for getting to Hamburg and loading my motorbike on Autozug at 12:30. Dinner not served after 8.00 PM. Small bed ...
location was suitable as i was passing by on my way from finland to belgium. staff at main reception was not nice and friendly as i had first tried to use 24h check in and ended up paying my room twice. they had to return money to me, indicating that they will be charged from my usage of credit card one time too much. no smile, nothing friendly from them.
Easy to find, friendly personel. It is a good hotel for passing through, but not for an extended stay.
The hotel was fairly clean but rather sparse. Breakfast was good. I felt the cost of the room was too much for the size of the room and the overall condition of the hotel. While it was adequate I think it was overpriced.
located conveniently close to the ferry check-in was computerized at the door, name en res number did not work (for pre-booked guests. Luckily I pre-booked with my creditcard and I got in, but the gentleman after me was not so lucky... Free internet (via cable), but no cable in the room!
It was clean and good for the occasion. I was travelling to Brussels from Helsinki and must catch the ferry from Rodbyhavn to Puttgarden. From now on will stay there when travelling that route. There is a TV in room 149 but no remote to watch TV. I also saw a power cable which was cut. I didn't mind anyway because there was free internet in the room, which came in handy as I had my laptop with me. The hotel was good for the one-night stand (I am not talking about sex. I am talking about a sleepover to move on the following day.
Quiet , ease of use .
Clean, new. Close to ferry. Good breakfast. Even though the hotel was supposed to not have any personnel, there was a really nice guy who welcomed us, and helped us. We could not find any restaurants nearby.
Unusual but easy check-in without any staff. Clean and overall OK. Free parking. It is best used for a stop waiting for the ferry to Germany next day. I didn´t buy the breakfast at the hotel. I had breakfast on the ferry and saved some time on the way. Breakfast price was the same on both.
Does precisely what it does: stay there to sleep. Expect nothing more (I mean nothing!). Breakfast was not used in the hotel, but need to be paid for separately. Do not expect to see any staff around to help you checking in. This is via a computer terminal outside via either creditcard, booking number (not booking.com number!) or surname. A roomkeycard is printed by the terminal with which you can access the hotel itself. Located near the ferry terminal and there is a reason why people drive off the ferry and speed into mainland Denmark. There is nothing to see or do! Don't expect anything else except a industrial harbour with a small pierside beachcafe.
see below It was impossible to get access to my room as the machine for check in could not be found at any area accessible to me, it was in a hidden area possibly locked. There was no reply on the number you gave me when I called at about 9.15pm. I think under the circumstance to charge my card for the non provided service is disgraceful .
Easy to use your credit card and comfortable and nice rooms for sleeping!
Easy to find, right by the boat Puttgarden - Rødby
Very easy to find. Free parking. No info on arrival. No staff present, but we did know. Terrible breakfast, we did not have after seen what to choose from. Not free wi fi as promised. Not able to pay for internet because no code for connection upon arrival. Nobody to ask. No phone number. Not possible to have a coffee without Danish coins and this is 100 from the ferry from Germany.
