Pros: It’s an old “Spanish Casona” with the classic Hispanic architecture, the whole building is well preserved and clean.
Cons: It does not have a proper garden or outdoor facilities...

7.5 Good
Pros: Located in a beautiful historical house on a quiet street. Common facilities were beautiful and the staff was helpful.
Cons: Parking is difficult to access. Our party had 2 courtyard rooms which were a bit musty and had no window to the outside. There were many other rooms available (all doors were open) and the exterior window rooms had more character and light and air.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing interier of the hotel.
Cons: Long distance between room and bathroom.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great, the staff were very friendly and polite. The place is spotless.
Cons: I would suggest the hotel to let the guests rest upon arrival. We were very tired and instead of going straight to the bedroom we were asked to sit down and review the plans the hotel had to offer for the following days. I think it can be done afterward.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was wonderful. Lola Garcia’s family restored, manages, and lives in the house. Maurício is kind, unendingly helpful & unobtrusive.
5.0 Okay
Cons: It is called a boutique hotel, and the price is four times that of other hotels in the area. The house is nice but the rooms are not comfortable.
7.1 Good
Pros: A very charming old place with a very welcoming owner . The rooms are quite spacious , clean, no view but the hotel is situated in town.
Cons: We happened to have a heavy and noisy neighbor who for 4 hours went back and forth in front of our bedroom to access the terrace. The noice of it on old wooden floor was thundering..... But worse are the whiffs of breakfast slipping thru the floor at 7am in the morning. Whether you may like it or not is just a matter of personal taste. It was not mine .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good location, good breakfast. Friendly people and parking in a secure garage included. Very nice renovation of the old house. As it is an old house, dont expect a modern style of the rooms.
6.7 Good
Pros: Charming old building, nicely renovated
Cons: Room had glass fronts at the front as well as at the back and only translucent curtains around the entrance. Woke up at 6am. No real privacy either. Other guests used my separate ‚private’ bathroom to take a shower.. grr Lots of staff outnumbering guests: very polite but a bit reserved. Did not feel at home.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful owner and staff, great location on the main square, comfortable rooms, tasty breakfast.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I can't speak highly enough of Las Marias Cass Hotel! Right from our arrival the staff went above and beyond to help us and look after us :) We were cycling and I had a problem with my bike; the kind people not only found someone to fix it, they gave their time to help us and then paid for the repairs themselves. I felt so we'll looked after and humbled by their generosity. The hotel is beautiful! The photos do not do it justice...it is far more lovely in reality :) The staff take great pride in keeping it spotlessly clean, the room is well proportioned and the bathroom excellent. If you want to relax the drawing room has wonderful views over the central piaza and cool breeze in the heat. Breakfast was excellent and staff made it early for us as we needed to leave before 7am....overall this sums up Las Marias Casa Hotel - wonderful people who will make you feel incredibly welcome. Thank you! Xx
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful owners! Wonderful view of cathedral and town square from hotel balcony. Hot shower. Nice woodwork :-).
Cons: Earplugs recommenced for those sensitive to early-morning churchbells.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host were absolutely amazing! The hotel is very clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is awesome and the staff very helpfull. Be carefull, the hotel is right in the central park and it could be noisy ate nights, ask for a room in the inside of the hotel if you are looking for a good night sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Situated right on the town square, although a little noisy, I recommend anybody staying to try to get one of the two rooms with a balcony overlooking the square. If not possible, there is a communal balcony. An old house, which has been renovated, maintaining its original features, but including modern facilities and comforts. A good local-style breakfast (included) is taken at a restaurant just round the corner.
Cons: Can’t think of anything
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean. Nice, spacious bathroom. Central location
Cons: Bed quite hard, which might be a problem for some, I had a very good sleep. Room didn't have a window, which appears to be quite common in some hotels in Colombia. Breakfast is at a nearby restaurant. No big deal for me, but it might be to some.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the center of town, very helpful and accommodating staff that strive to make you as comfortable as possible, beautiful and clean
Cons: Being right on the square is really fun for watching all the town activities, but it can get quite loud with the church bells from the basilica and the late night crowds in the bars on the square

Cons: The smell of the cleaning products was quite strong.

At Hotel Colonial - Salamina Caldas you will find a 24-hour front desk and a terrace. Other facilities offered at the property include a tour desk.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Central location and decent breakfast. Nice old colonial style building. Good size room.
Cons: The hostel can be a bit noisy due to traffic on the road and general noise from the main square. No glass windows - only wooden shutters.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Not so many good things to say about this place. The staff was very friendly in the end when we negotiated to leave earlier.
Cons: Unfortunately our overall experience was very bad. We booked the superior suite, which in reality doesn’t exist anymore. So we were put in a Standard suite with an little unuseful extra room and had to pay the price for a Superior Suite. Originally we booked for 3 nights but left after the first night as it was horrible loud. (The rooms only have shutter and no real windows, so every noise comes in easily) The room was facing a public parking lot which operated until late night and started again in the early morning. The room seemed to be cleaned a long time ago, as there was dust everywhere. Also, we found a lot of hair and stains on the sheets which was disgusting. That being said we recommend to find an other place to stay.

6.3 Good
Pros: The lady Ampara is very friendly!
Cons: The hospedaje is right at a busy traffic street and the noise is very loud, hard to find a moment of quietness because it goes on from very early morning till late night
7.1 Good
Pros: Casona offers quaint, relatively affordable accommodation in a historic building. The hospedaje is tended by an attentive owner who takes care of all the guest's needs, and also offers the use of the kitchen. Rooms are very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Due to position facing street, rooms are noisy. Rooms are also very small, and there isn't much of a sense of privacy.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all!
Cons: The host was intrusive and a little strange. The worse thing was the VERY NOISY bedroom which had no windows. Didn’t sleep at all. Bathroom very rudimental..Although she was helpful. We found her judgemental (we were 2 girls and she showed us her surprise at booking a double bed..). No breakfast included. Defintely wouldn’t recommend!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good location to explore the little town of Salamina. The hotel itself is nothing special but has everything you need to see Salamina and its surroundings.
