This is a charming hotel in a lovely village and with much potential, but ... The madame director chose her priority over customer service, and consequently, over one hour after requesting that the pool cover be removed we left, disappointed and dry. On leaving the matter was brought to her attention; the reply was - I am human. With a shrug of the shoulders, the inference was - you are not so important.
A totally satisfying experience. One of the best I have experienced in my loig life of international travel (I am 82 years old).Far superior to the impersonality, and international "sameness" of most large, modern hotels. No.
The food is truly excellent. It's a lovely location in a beautiful out of the way town.
Very pleasant staff, clean rooms and excellent food. Asked for twin bedded room and got a double bed.
This is a small, friendly family run hotel in a beautiful medieval village. In early July it was quiet and comfortable, and there is a very nice secluded garden and pool. The food is absolutely lovely - great regional dishes and meat and fish charcoal grilled in the restaurant - terrifically good value for really gorgeous meals. We would definitely go again, and highly recommend it.
The tranquility of the location, the service, the food all was wonderful
They were very welcoming even though we arrived at a late hour. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The hotel is in a beautiful location. Wish I had more time to explore the town and the area. This was just a stopover on my way to southern France.
staff welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast more varied than the normal french offerings. Evening meals delicious. Garden and pool well maintained. Location of St Rome de Tarn is excellent to visit Millau and surrounding areas. Town has many narrow winding streets to wander around. Tried to stay for an extra day. Fully booked - book early. Very large bed actually two single mattresses together on same frame. No tea/coffee facilities.
The location and the food Mix up on when dinner was served - you had to ask
Location and restaurant
Clean and friendly Had expected to be in a village and wasn't so nowhere to go in the evening.
Location and welcome was excellent.Great value for money.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Food in the restaurant, although not cheap is superb. Restauraunt was chilly... (Although that could just be due to the early season and freak weather conditions)
Off the beaten track and a real find. Superb countryside. a traditioanlal old coaching inn. Room was a good size and clean though rather spartan. En-suite facilities were good and spotless too. The restaurant was excellent. Food quality and portions were great and the house red was superb, much better than a bottle we had paid 4 times the price for the previous night. Certainly, the whole experience was up to the 2* rating and probably better!!!! Woulkd stay again if passing through. Should you want to visit or cross the killeau viaduct this is a perfect location. None of note.
Ease of booking, friendly staff who allways remember us even though stay is only overnight twice a year. None that come to mind
A truly "French" hotel. Simple yet clean room and bathroom. Very quiet, yet close to the touristy Millau bridge. Very nice staff and the restaurant menu was a real bargain and very good. We felt we were experiencing life with the French, not the foreigners! Lacked an elevator but not a great problem as only 3 floors.
Location comfort friendly of staff
Position relative to the Tarn Gorges Restaurant (and Hotel) closed on Wednesday.Very lonely in evening as only guests in the whole hotel. (when booking on-line were told "only three rooms left" ) The hotel is NOT in St Leons village! Directions not clear coming from Vizins.
The family room for four was very spacious with a separate bathroom and toilet. Much bigger than other family rooms at other hotels. No lift - we were on top floor, although hotel is fairly old.
Beautiful old building in a peaceful country setting, high ceilings and wide staircase. We had a large, quiet room with very modern bathroom. The highlight of our stay was the beautifully cooked, reasonably priced meals in a wonderfully restored restaurant. We would go out of our way to stay there again. Nothing
No where to hang clothes if you were staying there for any extended period of time.
Loved the family atmosphere. Owners were only to pleased to provide us some drinks even tho we arrived late and they were starting to clean up. Bathroom was clean and shower was great.
Nice town to stop at on way to the south of France. Room was far too warm with no means of opening windows.
Hotel staff were very friendly, they were happy to help with anything and even booked an excursion for us. Rooms were very small (well ours was!!) and this was not good for two people staying 8 nights! It annoyed us somewhat that they had bigger double occupancy rooms free at the time also so there didn't seem to be any valid reason for having us in a tiny room. Also, there was no kettle, or any other facilities for that matter.
Make sure you ask to make use of the dinner possibility in front, we could almost not get something to eat when we arrived at 20.30h. The restaurant is well booked so you beter reserve upfront.
the food and service were fantastic. The staff were helpful and always there when you wanted them.
Rooms small but practible and fine for an overnight stay
Molt bon servei / Very good service. Avaria al servei de WIFI gratuit / Free wifi was broken. Esmorzar millorable / Breakfast could be improved.
friendly and excellent service ,meals were very good in the restaurant and not overpriced
Looked lovely in a pretty village. Old hotel in nice surroundings. Food in the restaurant was very good and staff excellent Bed was terrible, you could feel every spring. Old fashioned mattress. We could not sleep until after 2 am, as teenagers were outside shrieking and letting off fireworks.
