Pros: Very welcoming and accommodating staff - excellent value for money
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Home cooked, fresh caught local mullet for dinner, an unexpected bonus.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Motel is simple and clean and situated perfectly for birdwatching in the Coorong area. Raymond was an excellent host who was very accommodating to my schedule. Thanks Raymond!
7.5 Good
Pros: This is essentially the only accommodation within Coorong NP... it is pretty much bare bones, but entirely satisfactory for an overnite within the park unless you want to caravan or tent camp. The room and bedding and bathroom were all clean. The air-con was too noisy, but worked. The proprietor [Raymond] provided an excellent breakfast the next day after we drove thru the scenic loop at Salt Creek. We saw Emus, Pelicans, Kangaroos, and Parrots in this park...quite an isolated region.
Cons: Air-con unit probably should get modernized soon.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The host was very friendly and helpful
Cons: The location is very remote, lots of bugs at night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, pretty views on walking around, nice room size.
Cons: Slightly older bed
7.5 Good
Pros: A place to stop over in Coorong if you need one. There is nothing near by as in it is probably the only public building for miles around. The owner was nice and really appreciate the offer to cook dinner even if it was the long Easter weekend and he was planning not to open the restaurant. Facilities were minimal though neat and all right for the price. The beach at the back was superb though access was from down the road.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a very nice time time at the bar with Raymond and Graham and the pitza’s are delicious!
6.8 Good
Pros: I liked the location
Cons: It was an old building
9.5 Excellent
Pros: No breakfast was requested
Cons: The manager was not around much and we found that the bar etc was not open in the afternoon.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Dproprietors were very welcoming and cooked a fresh fish meal just for me. Cosy hotel/ motel in bush location but close to water, between Meningie and Kingston, South Australia. Staying the night saved me driving through a lot of country where kangaroos and also deer are a serious nighttime hazard for motorists.
Cons: Perhaps breakfast could be offered a bit earlier.
