Comfy beds, clean room and bathroom, friendly staff Internet was down for majority of visit. Not the staff's fault, but it was. Also in room coffee sucked but that's to be expected.
Staff was very helpful. Food on site. Location limited but easy enough to get downtown. Wanted bigger gym.
Nice pool and hot tub, nice rooms. Shower area in pool was dirty Didn't have a breakfast.
Hotels shuttle bus service to the airport is worthless; waited more than 30min at the airport without any shuttle coming. Had to take a taxi (however reimbursed by the hotel). More fundamentally: a shuttle bus service without a schedule is of no value. Almost everybody needs to catch a plane - so why would you risk missing it if you don't know the schedule?Even if a shuttle comes you might not get on board because its already full!
They close their food down at 11pm and I didn't get in until 1115.
The amenities it had. The linens weren't changed daily.
Clean, great room. Very friendly staff. I was forced to stay here due to weather related flight cancellation during my layover. I chose it due to proximity to the airport and free airport shuttle. Proximity was great, but shuttle was pointless because it serves multiple hotels and so was full every single time, so i gave up and just Ubered. Needed a quick free breakfast buffet in the morning, and they are seemingly the only hotel in the area that doesn't offer that. So if you are in a similar predicament, choose a different nearby hotel. If you're on a business trip where everything is on an expense account, this hotel seems great.
Staff was awesome, especially Cristian. The hotel was far enough away from downtown that we were out of the bustle, but close enough we could get there quickly. I don't like that Courtyard only has their little cafe in the hotel, especially because this hotel is isolated from other dining options. The food at the cafe is great, it's just a bit pricey!
We stayed for 2 nights in Salt Lake city and found the hotel to be comfortable, clean and a central location, staff were friendly and helpful Room decor was a little dark but obviously practical
We booked through booking.com and the hotel claimed it took up to 24 hours for the online bookings to come through. Given we booked 3 hours before we turned up, they would not check us in to a room when we arrived until "it came through on the system"!! We were told this could be hours! So they asked us to sit in the lobby until it came through! Ridiculous. Fortunately after some waiting they realised it had come through but we wonder what would have happened if by midnight it hadn't come through!
Was within walking distance of Temple Square and other downtown sites. no
excellent value for money
It was clean and convenient. No.
I arrived a day late due to my flight being cancelled and the woman at the front desk was very understanding and accommodating of my situation. There was not button to make the doors in the lift shut faster. Obviously this is a very minor quibble! It's a very nice motel on the whole, the room and bathroom were clean and very pleasant.
Great value for money, a very comfortable room and excellent city centre location. The breakfast room was too small - we had to stand.
It was located quite close to lots of amenities and the breakfast was quite good every morning. That makes a difference when you are travelling and dont have to start looking for a restarant first thing in the morning.
The kitchenette was nice. Bed comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. The location was hard to find. If you missed the turn you ended up on the highway with nowhere to get off.
Excellent location, service, and value. Our family enjoyed the clean and spacious room. Thank you!
Nice room...quite...good breakfast....good staff...shuttle ride.. No TCM movie channel on TV ....Turner Classic Movies...no commercials on TCM is the only way to fly !
Stephanie the desk clerk was very courteous and helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay at La Quinta (salt lake, airport)! They are very pet friendly and the customer service is great. Their cleanliness is top notch! I like the cleanliness of the hotel but the cleaner smell in our room was overpowering, we had to open a window to air out the room. La Quinta should look into some more eco friendly/simple cleaners. The carpet spray is not good for small children and small pets.
Great Hotel - close to the airport and a 10 min ride into Downtown.
I like Valerie at the front desk, she greeted me and acknowledged me as soon as I walked the door, she even complemented me, made me feel good :) she was verry fast and efficient, made me feel welcomed. The layout of the rooms were amazing the double doors to the bathroom were pretty cool!!! Being this was a girls trip the multiple mirrors and plug ins by the mirrors in the room was amazing we could all get ready at the same time!!!!!! That never happends!!! I didn't see any cameras like In the elevators or halls, being a young group of females we would of felt safer with a camera or two and not just outside by the door. Also I've stayed in many la quinta hotels and I loved the stay and breakfast n mostly the updated clean and modern look, this one I didn't get the same feeling the ceiling in the elevator was a metal grate that we could see every wire, it just wasn't pleasant to the eye a lil out dated on the rest of the colors and decor on the building I guess, also the outside of the building like the walls were gross, cob webs and dirt every where, looked like it hasn't been cleaned, the Orange color really makes dirt pop so I would just maybe take like a spray washer around every once in a while, I mean that's the first thing people see. :)
The Econe lodge served the purpose of providing a bed when no other hotel room in the city was available. The only good thing about this place is you are walking distance to the Red Iquana Mexican restaurant. Too many things to list.
Homeless beggars outside and con artists. Do not give your room number no matter what the story is.
Nothing, it was dirty Everything
Price was increased, room had cigarette Burns's, broken lamp shades, dirty walls and a disinterested front desk. I was afraid to sleep under the sheets
None of it All of it Internet sucked
Nothing The hotel was filthy. The carpet looked like it has never been cleaned.
The shuttle can run every 1/2 hour and is reliably driven by the front desk staff. I thought she was great. I arrived I a seriously delayed flight at 4 am. At about 10 pm I called to let them know that my flight would be in after midnight. They assured me that it was prepaid and there was no need to confirm. The flight got later and later. When I got there they had cancelled the room. Of course, I was in no mood to re register but had too. It was a frustrating moment.
Close to the airport with a free shuttle. Picked me up at midnight with no complaints! They were unwilling to upgrade my room, stating that it can only be done via Kayak's website (which is untrue). Subpar breakfast. I would rather pay about $50 for this one.
Clean comfortable rooms great staff awesome deal for the money Indoor pool awesome
They had a low price and didn't seem like a dump. If your looking for a descent place to stay and want to save money, then this is a good place. Was not the best hotel but decent.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and the price we paid was very reasonable. The hotel is very convenient to the SLC airport and not much of a drive to SLC itself. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was not worth much even by budget hotel standards. But we saved enough on the room rate to be able to buy a good breakfast elsewhere.
Coffee was good Got so called upgraded to a two queen bed room from a king bed room due to a so called door lock problem. Would have preferred a king bed
Relatively clean, relatively friendly staff. Large ladies get into nearly physical altercations over the continental breakfast waffle maker (no kidding), the staff at the desk has breasts that fall out of their shirt when leaning over (which is just kind of weird, but more especially at 2 in the morning after 35 hrs of flying), kids are climbing in and out of the lower floor windows, and the halls kind of smell like cigarettes.
Nice and clean and comfortable great price No water pressure and no hot water
What I most liked was how helpful the staff at the counter were. When we needed a corkscrew, they kindly lent us one and allowed us to take it to our room. When we had checked out, we realized we were missing an item and they gladly let us back in the room to seek our lost item. I would definitely return.
Nice room. Very clean. Helpful staff and great breakfast.
NOTHING!!' We never made our reservation because of a mix-up

The staff were friendly, fast. The hotel was clean. This was not high brow but certainly fit the bill for a place to spend the night. They quit serving free breakfast at 9:00 AM. We missed it. We got a free ride to the airport. No complaints. Not really. It was kind of pricy for what it was but, again, it was clean, roomy, quiet enough, friendly staff. We were in and out so I didn't experience much. We just missed free breakfast but that was our fault. Coffee was good.
Great breakfast choices
Nothing We checked in late after traveling all day before an early flight. We turned down the bed sheets and there was mens body hair all over and what looked like a chunk of human feces. I would like to say more if someone would call me.

Pleasant employees, working air conditioner and wifi, good breakfast, good transport impossible to remember. all good.
Couch and desk They recommended a Chinese food restaurant and the food was discusting
I like the location, the set up of the room was perfect for us. Nothing, everything was great.
Front desk staff was friendly but was short staffed when we called for things. We liked the location, very close to airport, because we needed to be at the airport by 4:30 AM. The room was quiet. The elevator was great! Did not like the guys hanging out at the front desk while we were checking in. I had to call the front desk for a pillow and then an alarm clock. The room could use an update. The outlets, lights & furniture are in peculiar spots, one doesn't match the .other's placement. The couch was totally unusable, it was sunken and looked very old and used. There was no table, just a built in desk.
Good service and close from the airport!
The lobby in the rooms were very clean. The staff was super friendly. We did not take any of their breakfast but I'm sure it was OK.
Had everything we needed! Great price too.
Price and shuttle to airport
The continental breakfast was great!!
Quietness Easy to get on the freeway No knowledge about facility by employee. Was told no bathtubs in the whole place. There was. Was sent to a destroyed room first. Had to go back and get a different room. Bed was a double and so small Waited 50 min at airport after we called. Driver drove horrible on ice no less. Breakfast was not restocked and food was not fresh. Very disappointed so say the least. Won't be back and would not recommend
very close to the airport. There were no instructions on anything. Heat/ AC unit, cable/ Dish. Breakfast didn't start until 7:00am, I was long gone by then.
Airport shuttle and quality of the hotel, very good. No places to eat nearby.
Not at all. Would not return
Good price for a large room. I liked the flat screen tv, was able to open window and get fresh air in the room. Spacious The continetal breakfast was gross, only thing that was okay was the orange juice. Staff was young and unprofessional looking. Mini fridge didn't work and had a horrible odor.
Location, clean & well kept, front staff (especially Elias) was outstanding. Close to light rail. The heating/air-conditioner fan was a bit annoying as it cycled every few minutes.
Clean hotel, safe area, kids loved the cookies in the lobby and the pool!
It was good. We only stayed for one night. It was nice that the pool was open for such long hours. The continental breakfast had a good selection. The room fee to cover any damages I thought was a little ridiculous upfront. Everything that I had read from book ahead of time read $90 and I was charged $100 (I understand it is refunded). I think that maybe that needs to be less because you always have the persons information and can charge more later if there are damages.
Room smelled like smoke and heavy cleaning products. It looked like there was a knife fight in the bathroom. I went for a large conference in SLC and they raised the room rate up over 400% which made the stay just painful considering how terrible it was. At $40 a night then fine, I know what I'm getting, but at the inflated price point they're just robbing me. Also, you could literally get robbed at the Rodeway in too, so be careful.
It was easy to find and the employees were courteous. It didn't feel very clean there. I found someone else's hair in the shoer and the furniture had seen much better days.
the price was good. i found bed bugs (very well fed by my blood) in my bed. left the hotel with allergy reactions all over my body.
This hotel is worse than bad. The dirtiest, noisier the, most uncomfortable hotel i have ever been to. You'don't be better off sleeping under a bridge than this place!
There was throw up on the floor and cigarette burns on the comforters.
Was a dirty little room that should of cost 30 dollars
Location was great, a few days before was a snow storm and you had not cleared away ice in important areas yet, I had a hard time getting around the entrance. Our bed was way beyond needing to be discarded.
Price was very cheap for the location, and now I know why! We could hear other guest's doors being opened and closed all night long. Also people talking in the hallway were perfectly audible inside our room. The bathroom shower finish was peeling and dingy. Towels came with stains. Check-in took a long time.
There was nothing good about my stay There was nothing good about this hotel and I would never recommend it to anyone. There were homeless people sitting in the parking lot the whole duration of my stay, the showers were filthy with dirt, the bedding was old and dated unlike pictured on several websites. I also noticed when first arriving we had no shampoo or towels and when I went to the front to ask for some they acted as if I were lying about the items not being in the room. The whole experience was a joke and I would never stay at a Rodeway Inn again.
Great wi-fi connection; in fact, I was able to stream videos with it. The room was clean. The bed didn't gross me out, so I guess that's good. Lots of TV channels. Room was a little cold, but the heater worked well. However, the heater was very loud. The wake up call came in an hour early. I didn't appreciate that. I really could've used the extra hour of sleep.
The desk staff was pleasant. The photos of the hotel does not accurately describe the facility. The place was run down and old. Lots of noise and heavy traffic in/out of the guests on both sides of me. I'm sure that illegal acticity of some type was taking place. While this facility certainly doesn't promote it as an option, I suspect that you could rent a room by the hour if requested. The room felt dirty and didn't appear to be all that clean. I didn't even feel comfortable sleeping under the sheet and bed spread so I actually slept with my clothes on as well as my coat and hood. My flight was delayed so I didn't arrive to the facility until after midnight and I was exhausted otherwise I certainly would've found more appropriate accommodations.
The staff was reasonably friendly and the cable TV was OK. Location was reasonably central in SLC. You get half-working aircon/heating, beds have one sheet and a very thin blanket with cigarette holes (on both beds), hot water sometimes doesn't work and when it does it takes a while and it itches and dries your skin afterwards. The wifi unusable because it's so slow. The breakfast is coffee, way-too-sugary OJ, corn flakes or raisin bran, milk, bread, butter, or waffles (although the dough was poorly made and the waffles would never feel right). Would not recommend except as a quick cheap option.
I liked that a refrigerator and microwave were in the rooom. Also liked that breakfast was offered. My 11-year old son said the room smelled like a urinal. :( I needed to pull out the febreze and sprays that I could find just to be comfortable. Breakfast was offered, but selection was very limited.
Refrigerator froze the food. Air condition was very noisy. No shampoo was provided. Maybe forgot ???
Cleanliness is good AC is cold For serving is quickly response (service is good) Breakfast just few items/choices, so different with other Hotel with the same price but they have more choices
Location is good. Daytime staff seemed friendly. When I climbed into bed after checking in for a two-day reservation, I slid into soaking wet sheets. Pulling back the covers revealed the unmistakable smell of urine. The front desk manager was completely unsympathetic and refused to apologize or provide any solution until I actively demanded one. He told me that people go in and out of the rooms all the time and there is nothing he can do to prevent it. My friend and I left immediately and slept in our car instead, since everything else in the area was booked. I returned the next morning to complain to the manager and was given the refund the night clerk had refused me, but I simply cannot be emphatic enough that no one should stay at this property. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and have never had such a terrible experience.
It had a bed. Slow WiFi, lame breakfast, lazy staff.
Not kept ip...in need of repairs everywhere. Very loud music playong...we thought we were in Mexico.
The room was spacious, clean and comfy. It had everything you would need for a few days' stay. Friendly staff. Super close to airport but quiet. Felt homey.
There are a ton of sketchy folks roaming the area but they had a well lit parking lot and it's just far enough off the main drag to reduce above mentioned folks. My concern was for a haul trailer full of tools. It is a great stopover point on a cross country trip, close to the freeway with plenty of parking and good amenities. The room was great too. It didn't have a complimentary breakfast as many in the price range do, but I didn't care since I left very early. There are plenty of other amenities that makes up for it.
Clean facility, helpul staff, decent breakfast. We stayed three nights and received good service.
Their breakfast The exercise bicycle
Breakfast was pretty good, staff was nice Elevator kept breaking down. Floors were dirty, toilet didn't work very well, pool was closed first day
We liked the breakfast that we enjoyed both days we stayed, the location was good for what we were wanting to do while in Salt Lake. Having a full refrigerator was also very nice. We did enjoy the hot tub during our stay, as well and the fact the rooms were completely dark when the blinds were closed was great for us. The carpet was stained and dirty as was the bed skirt. The bedding was in poor quality and when we went in to the bathroom there was a dirty wash rag and hair on the tub. The shower head was way too low and we aren't tall people. The wallpaper could use being redone and the chairs were old. Also, they didn't refill both rolls of toilet paper and left one that was almost empty so we went and purchased our own. This hotel was too run down for the amount of money we paid for it and we will not return.
Honestly. Nothing. Nothing at all. The keys didn't work. Had to get to a different room. Beds and pillows are horrible. Rooms are tiny. Keys never worked. Had me there for three nights, after first night keys were denied because it said I was there for 1 night only. Worst bed and oldest pillows. Back and neck were sore as hell. Never want to stay there again. I witnessed them charge a 15 dollar fee for a veteran with a service dog. ID and all. The place was a joke.
The staff was great and super friendly. For the price we paid, about 65 a night, it was more than enough. The continental breakfast was actually pretty good as well. I would stay there again. The hotel could use some serious renovations. Everything is dated and the carpet in our room was super dirty. The surrounding area is a bit 'sketchy' as well.
