Accommodations were comfortable, inviting, and very convenient to Salt Palace convention center. Staff was wonderful. Service at restaurant was slow and sometimes absent. Disappointing, because the food was excellent.
great downtown location, close to it all would have liked a fridge in the room, other then that wonderful
Clean but with a definite 'run down' feeling, operated on a shoe string and it shows..convenient to convention center if there is no other choice.Personel is friendly and helpful, doing the best they can .. Noisy air conditioning and fan blowing in your face at the desk...sleep number bed a disappointment..TV set far from its prime...dinner quality worth forgetting at best..
The hotel met my needs and the location was perfect. The hotel staff was great and the parking was excellent. I would expect the Radisson to be a very nice hotel. The SLC Radisson was not a very nice hotel. The room was just an average room with sub standard furniture requiring replacement. I had a better room at a two star hotel. I don’t think the hotel should have charged to park at the hotel ($24.00 for two days was excessive).
Love the location, very close to Salt Palace. The pool area was also nice. Not worth the price for anything other than location. Bathroom was pretty dirty, the room was nothing special. Our mini fridge was leaking when we checked in and the floor was wet. They sent a new one right up which was great. I wish the floor elevators went straight to the parking garage. It was mediocre for my expectation of a 4 star hotel.
Very good central location, the motorized bed system to get a better confort was astonishing.
So close to the Salt Palace convention center. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were smaller than expected, with no microwave.
Excelent facilities, particularly the gym. Good restaurant as well. Very helpful staff. Great city centre location The outside looks little sad, but once inside is fine
Rooms were clean and neat Was told that there was a airport shuttle....not Check in was @ late! Got into room @ 5. Had to put luggage into closet by front desk while we walked around downtown, waiting for a phone call from them stating that our room was ready. We were not the only ones either. Was told that our stay included the breakfast, found out after we had already had eaten....
Clean place with friendly staff. They even threw in a free breakfast with our stay. It was also an easy walk to the mall. The room had cool art but, the heater was very loud. Something wrong with the fan. Also no bathroom fan oddly enough.
Breakfast buffet was quick and very good for this kind of meal. Waitperson was very polite and helpful. Clerks at reception desk also were great.
VERRY CONVENENT FOR MY STAY AS I WAS IN THE DAYS OF 47 PARADE AND I LIVE IN CACHE VALLY. I BOOKED AT THE RIGHT TIME. GOOD RATES .
Unplanned overnight in Salt Lake due to flight cancellation. Hotel is ideally located (really is adjacent to Temple Square and City Creek). Squeaky clean. Deco lifted from a set of "The Americans," or maybe something five or ten years earlier. Not old, just old.
I liked the location and friendly staff The old rooms and broken heater, loud refrigerator. Not the cleanest bedding.
The location is great. Light rail stop right out front. Half a block to the convention center. Only feet from the Salt Lake Temple if you are interested in sightseeing
Within walking distance to city creek Room was very small. Run down. Needs up dated. Not worth the money. Water hot then cold in shower. Staff was ok.
Nice place, great location and walking distance to shopping mall. Hotel room clean and spacious.
Nice place, great location, has been recently updated with décor, bed was very comfortable, room was clean, free internet with good service Staff was knowledgeable but a little slow, price was a high versus other locations of similar quality, not a modern or chic building but very serviceable.
It was in the heart of Salt Lake City across of Temple Square, across of Abravanel Hall, and City Creek Shopping Center. The free fare zone helped to get around using the train in front of the hotel and several buses nearby. Nice view of the city from the hotel. I found a few stains on the upper part of the shower curtain, lack of space to put luggage down, and a cold draft coming from the balcony door even though it was closed. This was mainly due to the snow storm though.
Great location! The water in the morning would be hot and then cold- not very comfortable!
Conveniently located next to Temple Square, within walking distance of the convention center. Easy access to lots of local restaurants/shops/bars. The staff was always very nice, and the light rail from the airport stops directly in front of the hotel. My room also had a great view of the Temple Square area and the mountains in the background. Not a very big room, although I didn't need a lot of space as a solo business traveler. The bed wasn't the most comfortable I've slept in, but it could have been much worse. They offered the option to not wash the sheets every day if desired (in order to save water and resources), which I appreciated, but did not offer to do the same for the towels.
Everything we came to Salt Lake City for is within walking distance of the Salt Lake Plaza & at a very reasonable price. This was my second visit & would stay again when I return to town. It would be nice if parking were included in the rate, but the $5.00 fee is reasonable & parking is secure.
Restaurant was very good - except for the dogs. Staff was helpful and friendly Dogs
Location, friendly staff, decor Room 708 must be very close to ventsbof some sort because there is a hum going on the whole day and night, which could affect quality or sleep.
It was clean and centrally located. TL;DR We were overcharged for the room. The room was dark and tiny. We were "upgraded" to a smaller, darker room. Don't stay here. Paying via priceline was $40 more than the hotel website advertised. On a night when the hotel was nearly empty, we were given an awkward corner room that was poorly lit and the size of a closet. Front desk was nice enough to "upgrade" us.... to a smaller and darker yet equally uncomfortable corner room. The robes were threadbare, faded leopard print, and gross. It was so terrible that we questioned whether we were on Candid Camera. I've been a lifelong Kimpton devotee but never again. There are so many great hotel options in SLC. Don't waste your time or money here.
My husband and I enjoy staying here because it's always modern, clean, sophisticated and welcoming. They are so friendly and the rooms have these fun and creative amenities, like yoga mats & animal print bathrobes. We often have overnight lay-overs and roadtrip pit-stops in Salt Lake City and the Kimpton Monaco never disappoints. No complaints
Loved it here! Great place to stay! The staff is so friendly, definitely has a high end feel. Furnishings are very nice and unique layout. Very clean. Bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend getting room service. The restaurant in the hotel is to die for. They accept pets and welcome them with open arms. Valet service for $24 per night is very worth it! Lovely hotel!
I would definitely recommend it . I am going to stay more over there Everything was great.
Well decorated, nice overall. Other people's showers so loud it kept me up, knocking on my door when I have do not disturb tag hanging, if you arrive late at night your reservation may disappear, parking is stupid expensive considering cost of room, no parking for large vehicles.
Room, location, bed, view Girl that checked us in put us in the wrong room and when told did it again. I went to remedy and was told that hotels.com could not reserve the room I requested and that I would need to request refund from them. I went back to wrong room, called hotels.com and miraculously the correct room opened up! Yeah for hotels.com
The staff was so nice and very accommodating! Their Bambora resturant was amazing! The best food I've ever had! It was so good that we ate there for dinner and breakfast. Wine/social hour was very relaxing. It was a fabulous get away!!!
this is one of the best hotels in SLC, the location, amenities and friendliness of staff is outstanding
Bed was awful. Lobby was stark and uninviting.
Bed was comfy...perfect for two. City view at night was amazing. Originally paid for the high rise but they tried to put me on the third floor. Desk worker Sage was very kind and helpful in getting us into a more appropriate room on the 14th floor. Small bathroom....small bathtub. Very few options for "gift store." 7 dollars for a bowl of cereal!!
The location was great. $15.00 for parking and no free wifi.
Clean, great location You are required to pay a $15 parking fee per day to use the only parking structure available on the premises.
Bed was very comfy and big for me, my wife and out 7 month old little boy. Staff was nice and helpful. Had a great view from the 9th floor. Location was awesome. For a last minute trip, this place a gold to stay at. The bathroom was small, I have stayed at cheaper places with bigger bathrooms. Breakfast was over priced. It was cheaper for my family to go else where for food.
The beds are comfortable. Shilo In is under construction. Do not stay here unless you absolutely have to. The front lobby is cold, the parking is behind the Shilo Inn (you have to walk around the block to access the parking). Construction in the building is from 7am - 7pm (noisy and don't even try to sleep in). After I got to the Shilo Inn, is when I realized how much work is being done, and I still paid full price.
It was so new and nice and clean.
Everything was perfect, no issues whatsoever. The room was cleaned so thoroughly everyday that it felt like we were getting a brand new room every day. No complaints whatsoever.
The room was very nice. The facility was clean and well situated. I really liked the pool, sauna, and the overall room. My friend ended up getting food poisoning after eating the breakfast. Please make sure that your food is fresh. He got very little rest that night and ended up vomiting for most of the trip.
Price was extremely high during our stay
I enjoyed the friendly staff, convenient location, and the clean rooms!
Good breakfast. Better than other places we've stayed. Nice people. Good room. Breakfast not as good as I remember. Parking was limited. Loading/unloading lane was packed with overnight parking. The regular parking was all taken. We were sent across the street with a parking pass. When we went leave the attendant didn't recognize or no what to do with the pass. Luckily he let us through.
convenient location, Nice staff all else was bad. it smelled, our room had a whole in the ceiling and our bed had hair in it. The breakfast was bad and weird.
clean and conveniently located. They don't have room service.
Staff was nice, good location. The hotel was very run down. Had broken table, ancient tv, and microwave. Free breakfast was a joke. Don't recommend staying there.
Nice big / clean room and comfy bed. Enjoyed the pool and spa and especially the proximity to the convention center for the conference I was attending. The hotel is under construction. It's getting a much needed update, but that meant construction noise and scaffolding outside my window. Wasn't a big deal.
Great location! Elevators were constantly broken and the stairs were off limits so sometimes the weight for an elevator for 20-30 min
At least five lamps in the room did not work. Tube style TV. No "do not disturb" sign for the door. Staff couldn't be bothered to help with a simple request.
One block from ESA, very clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff. Have stayed here before and will again without hesitation. Rooms were small and slightly out of date but very comfortable. Breakfast was limited but I didn't stay here for that. Good value for what we received.
This is a former Howard Johnson's. The rates are reasonable, they even have a shuttle to and from the airport. The furniture is older but the beds are comfortable. The place was very clean. The breakfast was cereal, bagels, toast, canned fruit, juice, milk, coffee and packaged Danishes. The continental breakfast was limited and some rooms open to an outside hall which is quite cold in the winter.
This spot is close to downtown. THe place is generally clean and well maintained, and the cost is very reasonable. The only problem I would say was the carpets were old and not super clear
The bed which was supposed to be a queen I swear it was a double. But the bed was comfortable. The TV remote didn't work which wasn't a big deal as it turned out because the TV didn't work. Then we couldn't turn it off. It was on all night. Remember Poltergeist? The room smelled. They didn't allow smoking but I think it would have it would have been an improvement. The sign outside says $69 and up. We paid $123.+ When I asked about the price difference was told due to conference in town. Breakfast was the pastries in bags,(only two per person, who would want two?) bagels, canned fruit, cold cereal. A funny thing was, they had 4 boxes of tea available, all the same kind. If you don't like Jasmine Green tea you are SOL! Not a good experience at all.
Traveling alone I like the parking lot very close to busy streets And well lit
Close to city center WiFi connection was very poor and hotel staff were helpless
Very affordable. Great value. Not super comfy pillows, nor comforter.
Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Loved the location. Being one block away from energy solutions arena was very convenient. Older hotel.
They let me keep my car in the parking lot for the rest of the day after I checked out The room was really clean The heater worked well The breakfast wasn't that great The whole place is kind of run down and old
The ONLY news Channels on the Television was Faux Nuwz. Fox, Multi Year Winner of Worst Media Lie.
North Temple Inn is very well situated for walking access to many downtown destinations. It is among the most affordable considering its location. The property is a bit dated, in need of updating. Much of the maintenance work done within the rooms has an unfinished look to it - functionally complete but cheaply done (mismatched paint, obvious signs of patching, etc.). The fact that the maintenance has been done is a good thing, but that it is done on a tight budget seems evident. TV in room was an old-style tube television. Furnishings were chipped and scratched, but fully functional. Wireless Internet was variable.
