With a stay at A La Grenouille in Bellignat, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Haut-Jura Regional Nature Reserve and Museum of Combs and Plastics. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The room was wonderful, spacious and well set up for our family of 5. The breakfast and hosts were excellent. Our hosts suggested a day itinerary for the area, which was amazing. Definitely going back, so much to see.
Pros: The welcome and the hospitality. Thank you.
Pros: Gorgeous rooms, fabulous owners, great dot for a stopover
Cons: The location on the photo suggests a sprawling green country retreat, the house is in fact in the midst of a suburban street, off a concrete drive, with, yes, a garden. I wouldn’t have wanted to stay more than one night even though the owners were lovely (but speak no English... and we, just a little French). I messaged them twice through booking.com before leaving home but never had a reply. I presumed this was because of the language barrier.
Pros: Warm welcome. Enjoyable evening meal in the garden, good breakfast following day. Fridge made available to us. Ample secure parking for the 3 motorbikes and car
Pros: The family was so so nice.
Cons: The beds were not even anywhere near comfortable.
Pros: Nice Place, big garden for the kids to play, nice breakfast outside. Beautiful space room and bathroom with bath.
Pros: Beautifully restored traditional house with antique furniture but modern facilities. Full of character. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
Cons: Everything was excellent
Pros: We loved staying at la Grenouille. The hosts are the kindest and most hospitable people and helped with everything we asked and much more.
Pros: Great little stay over the staff were very friendly and the food was very good
Pros: We were cycle touring in the Jura and Thoirette was a key, if somewhat remote, stopping point. The Auberge is effectively the only place to stay. However, the welcome from Sandrine and Nadia was exceptional. They are both very warm and friendly hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We were unfortunate in having had a very wet ride and arrived soaked. Although the weather was quite warm they insisted on firing up the heating so that we could get warmed up and dry our clothing. We ate in the restaurant and the food was an excellent example of French country cooking at its best. Sandrine was tremendously helpful in advising on matching local wines to the food. We opted for a king room with lake view and it was superb. It had recently been refurbished to a very high and stylish standard. All in all this was an exceptional place to stay in lovely surroundings, and greatly exceeded our expectations.
Pros: Lovely newly refurbished room, peaceful location. Excellent evening meal in the hotel restaurant. Friendly staff.
Cons: Wi-fi a bit eccentric!
Pros: I like the room although just above dinner area and facing the road so noisy if the windows opened. Everything looked new in the shower and lavatory.
Pros: Great location, quiet, close to the Vouglans lake. Ideal for a one night stop for our moto trip. Comfortable clean spacious modern room with 2 windows, view (partially) on the nearby lake. Nice small terrace. Beautiful garden. Friendly staff.
Pros: Since I was traveling alone, a good wifi signal is important. Well, the wifi signal was extremely good, as in superior. I was also offered a parking place in the garage for my motorbike, how nice is that! Very friendly people, loved every second of my stay.Did I mention the gorgeous scenery?
Cons: Well, if brand new fancy techie stuff is your thing, then this place isn't probably for you. But I sleep with my eyes closed, so...
Pros: Our room was bigger than we expected, the bed was so comfortable. The reception member of staff was very helpful. We ate at the restaurant on site, the portions were generous and very tasty. We also enjoyed our breakfast. Lovely views from our bedroom window.
Pros: Very cheerful atmosphere. Staff were very friendly.
Pros: Location is beautiful, right on the river. A great place to stay on a Sunday evening as their restaurant is open, unlike many other places in France. Very friendly hosts. Room clean and comfortable. Dinner was delicious and good value for money. Good breakfast for an extra cost.
Pros: Friendly Host, Confortable clean room perfect for our overnight stop on our cycle tour. Host happy to store our bikes in the Garage. Had a very tasty meal in the evening.

With a stay at Hotel Melodie in Bellignat, you'll be in the suburbs, within a 10-minute drive of Haut-Jura Regional Nature Reserve and Museum of Combs and Plastics. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very friendly staff, clean and convenient.
Cons: The restaurant is closed at the weekend.
Pros: BREAKFAST IS A REAL MEAL - ORANGE JUICE IS JUST PRESSED AT ONCE
Cons: WELCOMING WITH A "DIRECTOR" wich is a flunkey and have a huge oedipe complex . He cries ,enter the room with his own keys when you are in , I had to lodge a complaint .I was afraid . WARNING DANGER.
Pros: Very high standard if compared that this is only 2* hotel. If I were to rate hotel Melodie I would give them > 3*
Pros: Very friendly welcome. Value for money excellent. Style a bit dated but nonetheless excellent for the price and for a two star hotel.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit expensive at 10euros each, particularly as there wasn't much left when we came down at 10.But was open until 10.30 so no excuse for that!
Pros: Location / breakfast / staff / friendly / fast check in & out.
With a stay at Nouvel Hôtel in Oyonnax, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Haut-Jura Regional Nature Reserve and Rene Nicod Park. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The design of the hotel, the confort of the room, the quality of the breakfast everything was perfect.
Pros: Perfect location for my trip, car park onsite (additional charge & limited), friendly staff and very clean.
Pros: Nicely renovated old hotel. Cozy atmosphere. Close to city centre.
Cons: Slightly higher price.
Pros: Liked in particular the different pool scene photos in the entrance hall, stair case and hallways. Tastefully redecorated, spacious room, with authentic individual decoration vs. some of the synthetic boutique hotels I've been.
Pros: Great hotel in a small city
Pros: Location to town centre
Cons: We arrived back after a full day out to find the room had not been cleaned, bed unmade and no clean towels. This was billed as a Privilege room but was very standard.
Pros: The service could not be faulted, friendly pleasant and very helpful. Beautifully decorated with a real sense of opulence at realistic prices! If you need to go to Oyonnax, apart from Rugby there is not a lot on offer, this is undoubtedly the place to stay.
Cons: Being very picky the towels could do with being a bit bigger.
Pros: Cracking place super breakfast, and staff couldn’t do enough to help us. Parking in garage, nice decor, comfy rooms. Real quality and we will be returning
Cons: No air con, but not a problem most of the year!
Located in Montreal-la-Cluse, Lac'Hotel is within a 5-minute drive of Lac de Nantua and History Museum of Resistance and Deportation. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely hotel in a small village. Restaurants across the road. Pretty lake nearby. Staff were friendly, but didn't speak much English.
Cons: Our room was tiny, with no chairs (no space for table or chairs).
Pros: Not a lot
Cons: I was the only one staying that night I think and when I arrived I think the owner or manager left very soon afterwards so I couldn’t find the WiFi code. Just a bit disappointed really. Very basic.
Pros: This is a quick whizz off the A40. The town is cute and the restaurant across the road is very interesting and serves local specialities. It also seems to have an all night bar. The hotel is an IBIS style experience with an above average breakfast and a helpful front desk. Good secure parking.
Cons: The room was fairly cramped.
Pros: Clean, basic overnight hotel. Room was cosy and quiet. Pleasant staff.
Cons: No kettle in the room.
Pros: A very clean minimalist type hotel, situated a few minutes from the motorway. Very pleasant staff and ok for a one night stay. The bathroom was of the “cassette” type such as you would find in a French 1er Classe hotel or a “Formule 1”. Parking was quite open with a reasonable amount of space. Breakfast rather limited.
Cons: Bathroom is very small and rather unpleasant, but it would be tough to change as it is. Pre-fabricated unit.
Pros: friendly welcome. excellant location for walks in forests and nantua lake. i could not fault it.
Cons: language barrier a little problem but i need to improve my french.
Pros: Great one night stopover from France to Italy. Nearby restaurants. Lovely town. Easy stop before the Mont Blanc tunnel.
Pros: Welcoming staff and vicinity to motorway. Good supermarket nearby
Cons: Lack of interesting things around
Pros: Rooms were tidy and clean.
Cons: Wi-fi was working but there were no internet. Staf was not speaking English. Breaakfast was quite poor (nothing hot), rooms smells like fresh paint. Expensive, concernig it quality.
Pros: Super convenient stopover en route between Italy and UK. We are regular guests.
Cons: The modular bathroom might be a little awkward for some people

Located in Montreal-la-Cluse, Maison Chanteleau is in a rural location, within a 5-minute drive of Lac de Nantua and History Museum of Resistance and Deportation. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Located close to Lac de Cluse
Cons: Google maps couldn't find property, not signed at all. Took us over an hour to find property. Photos are old and no wonder reviews are from 2016 because I would say that is the last time that anything was done to the place. Parking off street but so far away from accommodation that 2 sets of staircases are a challenge. "Complimentary toiletries" mean use the left over shampoo etc at the bottom of a dirty shower that blocks when using. Toilet and shower combined room, wouldn't like to be staying when busy. Home is unloved, cluttered and out of date. Breakfast was as if we were an inconvenience to be a paying guest, no milk offered for coffee; basic black coffee and 2 croissants to share was the breakfast choice. Bed pillows a were a second thought and bed linen dirty; room decor much to be desired. At check out we were told "cash only"! Very happy to leave this place, town is more than 1/2 shut down and not many options for food.
Pros: The property was very cool and quirky, as each of the rooms were themed, which was very cool!
