8.3 Excellent
Pros: The cabins and the landscape are attractive and well designed. The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in in a long time! The shower was very inviting and delightful. The pool was lovely though not really accommodating for lap swimming. The highlight of our stay was the early morning birding boat trip with Eduardo, an excellent guide.
Cons: We expected the meals to be more varied and creative. The vegetable portions were tiny and there were limited choices for my husband who is vegan. The lamps on the night tables are unreachable once one is cocooned in the mosquito net; it would be helpful to have a light switch on the headboard . There is not much to do on the island besides swimming and kayaking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Wish spa opens until evening.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place. Supports local community projects and is environmentally conscious. A big plus! Great facilities including a bird watching tower, kayaks, lovely pool and paddle boarding options. Loved the staff, food, numerous activities and overall ambiance. I would highly recommend a stay here in this beautiful and unique lodge.
Cons: All good.

Pros: Hotel Casa Cubana. The perfect hotel on a perfect place. Everybody is so helpful, they have a sweet dog called “Bella”. The rooms were beautiful and clean, breakfast was just amazing! Oh and the pool is actually “cold” we mean the perfect temperature. Go in the weekend and you can find a sweet BBQ right around the corner! For the people who doubt about going to Nicaragua, Granada or this hotel. It was our first meeting with Central America and we loved it, we didn’t felt like scared or anything at all. The people are amazing and they want you to come to Nicaragua
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our first nights in Nicaragua were very promising for the rest of the trip. Esther and Hazel are great hosts, friendly and helpful, we had a great breakfast with only fresh ingrediënts and Esther was always available to provide us with info. She has given us fantastic tips to do in Granada. The kayaking with Vladimir was perfect! I would recommend this trip to everyone! Esther provided us also with a great and reliable taxi to Laguna de Apoyo. We are certainly coming back to Casa Cubana!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Casa Cubana is a real gem. Only a short (800 m) walk to the Central Park, the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood. Parking available just around the corner; very easy. Our host was wonderful and the staff was excellent. Terrific breakfast each morning with fruit, yogurt, coffee, eggs, pico de gallo and juice. The rooms here are all spectacular. We stayed here twice on our last visit and each room was incredible. I poked my head in the others and they're amazing, too. We would stay here again without doubt and would, in fact, just book here in the future and not give it a second thought. Our host also arranged outings for us. One of our absolute highlights in a month in Nicaragua was a 3-hour (or more) kayak tour of Las Isletas with Vladimir. They picked us up at Casa Cubana and the day was superb. Really, don't miss this (you can also take a boat tour of the area but if you like to kayak that is definitely the way to go)!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place to stay! Rooms are nice and cozy, breakfast is perfect, host is very supportive lady, she has answer to all questions and can give recommendation depending on you preferences. Thank you for your hospitality and wish Casa Cubana good luck!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here three nights in July 2019. Then we left for another town. That other town was much less interesting than we had hoped so we cancelled our last night there and returned to Casa Cubana for our last of 24 nights in Nicaragua before flying home. We knew if we came back that we would be thrilled and could leave on a high note. This place is terrific.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have had a perfect stay in Casa Cubana. What a nice place to be! Esther did everything for us to feel like at home: breakfast, coffee, advices, warm welcome and patience with our one year old son were on top!! Don’t miss the possibility to have massage there - it’s a real treat!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location only a 8 minute walk to the city center.... it was nice to be a bit off the touristy area. Beautiful quiet room, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom. Yummy healthy breakfast with a charming parrot resident. The host Ule was very friendly and helpful; he booked tours for me, gave advice and we also shared some interesting conversation over breakfast. Loved the garden and pool. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Granada.
Cons: Ule gave some tips that were a bit off the mark... I asked if I should wear a swimsuit on the kayak tour and he said no, but I did get wet so glad I did decide to wear a swimsuit. Then he said sandals were okay to wear on the volcano tour because there wasn't any hiking, but we hiked up a gravel path on a hill and I wished I was wearing sneakers. He also said it wasn't customary to tip tour guides but everywhere I read stated otherwise. And I could tell the tour guides were disappointed that I didn't tip, so I left money for Ule to give the guides after I checked out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a very spacious accomodation in a beautiful colonial building, close to the historical centre of Granada. The owner is a very friendly and helpful person, he helped us a lot with tours in Granada and its surroundings as well as with our further trip. We are very happy that we chose casa cubana!
Cons: Noisy air conditioning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, huge and comfortable beds, awesome patio with pool
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect! The room, the pool, the patio... everything was amazing. The rooms and the whole accomodation were super clean. The beds were very comfy and huge. Uli and Hazel are very accomodating and helpful.

Pros: Liam, and his staff were exceptionally kind, helpful and professional! From the outset, to departure I felt welcome. To summarize, I had been traveling for four months and had a late shuttle out of Managua. Instead of charging me for a half , or full day Liam gave me the suite until I left at 2100 (930 pm). I appreciated this very much! When so many owners are trying to make as much money as possible, regardless of what is right ; Liam’s carrying nature brings better returns karmically! Gracias

Pros: Everything. The owner was super nice with us. We were concerned about the last disturbs in Nicaragua and the owner answered our e-mails so quickly and was so helpful and nice with us. Seriously one of the best stays in my whole life. I will recommend this place to everybody.

The town of Granada or Masaya can be reached in 25 minutes by car, while Augusto Cesar Sandino International Airport in Managua is 50 km away. The property offers free parking.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Casa Marimba is really worth every euro. The accommodation is perfectly designed and the location is perfectly situated at the lake where it is lovely to swim. We stayed here 5 nights and with our own car it is easy to reach to Masaya and mombacho Vulcans, Masaya market (the local one), Granada etc. The food is perfect (mix of local ingredients with french influence). And the staff is Great!!! Especially Celeste (always laughing and teaching us Spanish) and Diana (French lady who is always cheerful, relaxed and helpful). So Celeste and Diana: thnxs for making our stay unforgettable. Going to miss you
Cons: This is not a big deal for us, but will be nice information for future guest to know so they can be prepared on what to expect and what not to expect. But I would strongly recommend to stay here and you would love it. Two points of improvement will be: 1) warm water at the shower (only a cold shower is available). 2) use of air conditioning is extra to pay. Make room rates more expensive, but include than the use of airco.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything.!!
Cons: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and comfortable (we didn't even use the air-conditioning. The food was delicious and the staff was always helpful. They threw in a couple of extras, since it was our anniversary.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was super sweet and arranged a convenient price for us to stay the next night.
Cons: Not any restaurant options in the area. Food at hotel was good just wish their was more variety
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is much more enchanting and beautiful in person than in the photos. The food is absolutely delicious and the best margaritas I've ever had. The place is very chill and in the off season it is great because the Laguna is quiet and we had the beachfront all to ourselves. This is a lovely oasis and a very hip and well taken care of property. Nicaragua is a must destination for any intrepid traveller who wishes to experience Central America, off the beaten path, and to really escape the tourist traps of other, more popular destinations. This hotel is definitely worth a trip!
Cons: We paid for AC, however the unit was not very powerful, and we ended up not using it, as the air was cooler with windows open and the fan.
7.9 Good
Pros: Enjoyed the free canoes, the water was beautifully clear - learned later it's possible to scuba in it but was too late by the time we found out. The cat (and her kitten), nice view from the beach (which we eventually asked and found we could get down to. Nice little bar area but didn't really use as didn't know it was there until later! Was quite a lot more isolated than I had expected but likely good if you were expecting. Loved the balcony even though the view was mostly of a tree!
Cons: Was told on arrival we would get shown around but didn't. As it's on multiple levels some of the areas looked like they were staff only (but weren't). Think there was a house event of some variety going on in a number of the communal areas and so we stayed in our room more than I think we otherwise would have.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property was very close to the center of town, as well as the beautiful churches. Gabby and Toby were very hospitable and helped me in my search for a taxi to Ometepe Island, and I appreciate their diligence. The grounds were absolutely lovely and my bedroom was beautiful. The shower had warm water, which was welcoming after having spent 9 days on Little Corn Island and taking cold showers. Though no restaurant, they did have small fruit plate prepared per my request. All in all I loved Hotel Padrino and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you again, Gabby and Toby, for everything!
Cons: More fresh fruit for breakfast.

Pros: I loved everything about this property! I visited with a couple of friends. It’s a great option if you are looking for a relaxed weekend at the beach. The location is excellent, the beach is right in front, beautiful, clean and quiet, the whole place is design and decorated beautifully since one of the owners is an artist! Breakfast, wholesome and delicious. It has basic amenities but it’s comfortable enough. We stayed in the apartment, big fridge, stove, we could bring food and cook. Great value for your money!

Pros: The staff and owners were friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast was superb and I was given a lot of coffee and granola topped with yogurt at 5 am when I had an early flight to catch...
Cons: Absolutely nothing!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location. Close walk to the center of Granada, with many nearby restaurants. The facility itself was beautiful, full of plants, flowers, beautiful design and a small pool that was quite clean. The rooms had air conditioning, the Wifi worked well. The restaurant is cute with a tapas menu and a full bar. My sister and I had a night cap there (almost overnight) and we played dominos/cards in which the restaurants has a game shelf in which you can choose from. The included breakfast was great, recommend the huevos rancheros. Friendly and helpful staff.

Pros: Beautiful Gardens. Walking distance to downtown sites. View of the church.great breakfast. Great massage place 300 meters away.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect- just far enough from the Central Park so it is peaceful, but also near a few great restaurants and sites. The staff was amazing. We interacted mostly with Grethell and she was so helpful and sweet. The space is so beautiful with a lush garden, nice swimming pool and picturesque terrace on the roof. The breakfast was also a great perk- fresh, filling and quite delicious! We really enjoyed our stay here and would gladly stay again if we happen to pass through Granada on another trip.
Cons: Not one negative thing to say here!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast fine, pool great!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room is nice. Also, I like the pool.
Cons: What I did not like is that they did not have more Gallo Pinto at 8am, and I asked the waitress if they'd cook more and she said no, so I ate Los huevos rancheros without beans and rice, just bread and a small slice of avocado. Then at 9am they were serving Gallo Pinto again.

Pros: The staff here are incredible. Candy was so helpful and made us feel really welcome.
Cons: Only bad thing i could say was that the room was very hot overnight even with a fan in the room
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The style and athmosphere of this really old building is amazing. The lazy cats hanging around gives an extra touch. Rooms where a bit hot but we got 2 fans so it felt ok to sleep! Shared bathroom and kitchen where really clean. The ladies and owner are very friendly! We stayed in the hostel 'el arce de noe' as well (witch has better reviews but is not as good as this one!)
Cons: That it was fully booked and we had to move to another hostel (our own fault)

Pros: Absolutely wonder place to stay, staff very welcoming! They have 4 adorable cats. The place is very clean couldn’t recommend it enough. Great location.
7.1 Good
Pros: The house is in a good clean and quiet location. Also the rooms are well kept and clean would of stayed here again. But after a bad checkout experience we wont be coming back.
Cons: We got accused of stealing a shower head during checking out... Afterwarfs she apologize since the service guy forgot to placed the shower head back on the day before we arrived. This should of had been handled a different way specially when it comes to acussing their guest of stealing.

Pros: Oasis hostel really lives up to its name. It really is a safe haven from the sometimes scourging heat of Granada. The staff really does their fullest to make travellers come together, arranging daily activities at the hostel as well as a wide array of organised tours. The pool and bar area is a great place to hang out in the afternoon and the three free drinks happy hour makes the perfect time to chat with fellow backpackers.
Cons: If you are a sun worshipper you should know the sun only shines down over the pool area a couple of hours each day.

Located in the centre next to the market area. I recommend!
Cons: From the dormitory I stayed in, you can hear what's happening next door and the music loud at the pool but it was over around 10.30pm. Kitchen has only 2 stoves so you might have to wait
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Love the facilities! Swimming pool is very relieving with so high temperatures ! Breakfast is included and is delicious They organise tours, very handy and not expensive !
Cons: Not so much light in the room but it looks like it's a national problem..

5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good. Friendly staff
Cons: the whole place was dated and shabby. Furniture and decoration in need of TLC. s big refresh required. When we arrived I would have used the large pool but filter (s) had not been on leaving it murky and not inviting. The next morning the pool filters were on and it looked fine. In comparison to another experience in Granada it was no where near as good value. Sadly we would not stay again and could only recommend on the good breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful, the facilities were nice too. The breakfast was really good, and we enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the size of the room.
Cons: The pool is missing tiles, but it was wonderfully refreshing during the 4 hour power outage that Central America experienced while we were there. Also they were super helpful getting us into our room, but we could have used a little help carrying things out.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has a nice pool, a beautiful garden setting, helpful staff, and is located only a couple blocks from the town square. We especially appreciate the services of their driver Lupe, who got us safely to/from the airport during a time of anti-government protests and road blocks.
Cons: We were disappointed that dinner wasn't available from the restaurant.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Frankly we didn't have any expectations from this hotel, and this was good, since we fell absolutely in love with it! It is a colonial building with an amazing patio inside, and even a pool! The room was simple but cosy and had everything one needs for a comfortable stay (including a hairdryer). The hotel offers a nice breakfast (eggs or pancakes).
Cons: There is no parking in the area, so we had to leave the car in front of the hotel to our own risk (but everything was eventually fine)

Pros: The pool
Cons: They only had 3 options for a meal, no menu !
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location is nice in the center.
Cons: Ambiance is rather boring, facilities are outdated and tired. Didn't have hot water for two days in the room. Rowdy crowd.
