Room cleanness Beds quality TV, Freeze, Microwave, Tea/Coffee maker in each room helps a lot for longer trips. Quality breakfast and lots of variety
Nothing much to say here.
I liked how the room had a refrigerator and microwave. Very convenient. Close to seaworld and old town. Breakfast and Internet included very nice!
No hot water first night of stay. Took cold shower. Pullout sofa was very uncomfortable. Cleaning was minimal. Heated didn't work too well. But these are all easy fixes and updates. I hope they can improve.
Had a great stay. Got a great deal so it was a good deal for what we paid. The location to valley view venue was perfect as it was in walking distance. Lots around for food. And the free breakfast was decent if you didn't want to go too far.
The only negative I noticed was the toilet ran if you didn't jiggle the handle but it was a very minor inconvenience for everything else that went well
The location was good. The room we had was very big. Easy check in and out.
The room had a very damp feel, AND Smelled musty damp wet smell. The AC unit was very noisy. The fan or something was wrong with it. The room was very old and run down. There is no safe in the room to lock up anything. I don't want to say I had a bad stay, If your not to picky and can deal with some problems. But I don't think I would stay there again.
location ' price
The location was convenient to the beach and Old Town.
The room was dark, very damp (Our swimsuits were still wet after hanging them to dry for two days.), and the floor was dirty, as in the bottom of our feet were brown after walking around on the carpet. It you don't mind a bit grungy, it's not bad. But for the money, I think you could easily find cleaner accommodations with a similarly convenient location.
The hotel had a shuttle to multiple places around San Diego which was great because it allowed us to save gas and not worry about parking. Free breakfast was always a nice touch and the cleaning services did a decent job exchanging for clean towels and making the beds.
The hotel room was in extremely poor condition. All of the outlets except two were broken, there were wires sticking out from behind the television and the plastic covers for the outlets were broken (allowing you to see into the wall). There were bugs near the doorway and in the bathroom the bathtub fixtures needed to be repaired (overflow value cover fell off allowing us to see into the wall). I regret staying here.
At least the rooms were clean. I'm disappointed with everything else the hotel had to offer.
First of all, I booked a room with a queen bed, but instead got two fulls. They claimed they were all booked, but I know I booked one and it was inconvenient and just stupid on their part. The AC unit would squeak constantly if put under 80. We called maintenance TWICE but they couldn't fix it. My boyfriend tried fixing it in the middle of the night (we could not sleep with it shrieking) and it spit water and ice all over him. We were exhausted for the majority of our trip.
Good location. Good value for money. Very clean.
We arrived at our room late. Passing the pool, my children wanted to go swimming at 9pm and observing how filthy the area was along with the beyond cloudy water, I told them NO!. Upon entry to our room (the second one because when we checked in earlier the first room was riddled with smoke and mildew), our room was noticeably filthy. The closet door was open and we could see trash on the floor in the closet. There was not laundry bag visible. The floor was obviously not cleaned (tile by the front entrance and bathroom) nor vacuumed (old dirty stained carpet) because I was using tissues to pick up visible crap (couldn't tell you what it was) from the floor. I refused to allow my sons to take off their shoes or change into their pjs because the sheets looked dirty as well. The towels in the bathroom were all hung crooked! and that is hotel 101! The tub had several chips in it (not safe) and the drain was upside down (clearly broken). There was water behind the toilet(signs of plumbing trouble). The grout on the floor was poorly done and chipping everywhere. Onto the sleeping area...the drawers were pulled out slightly, the carpet had many stains and white crumbs on it. The beds were absolutely horrible. Our mattress had no stability. I am no more than 160 pounds and when I laid down, my children (babies) rolled towards me. I felt as if I was falling out of the bed. I had to reposition myself between my children so that I would not fall out of the bed due to the lack of stability and cheap frame. I have NEVER had this happen at a hotel even a $35 a night cheap motel. The refrigerator worked but was not clean. I slept just enough time so that I could drive my babies home safely. We checked out at 6AM! And I am not a morning person.I did not want to touch the free breakfast...not in such a filthy place. What a NASTY CREAPY crawling Hotel. and we have stayed at Days inn in carlsbad and it was at least CLEAN after the second room. Try somewhere else! Until they hire people who know how to clean, hospitality and complete real maintenance and repairs, AVOID at all costs! http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g60750-d80014-r290931292-Days_Inn_Suites_Sea_World_Airport-San_Diego_California.html#
Front desk people were very friendly.
The mattress was terrible! Extremely thin and swayed in the middle. Must have been there since the hotel opened.
I really liked that there was a pool available for use. The room had all the amenities, if old, such as a microwave, television, and refrigerator.
The room was a bit dated and we questioned whether the sheets were freshly washed or just turned inside out after the last guests left.
Its a nice location close to the airport with lots of great restaurants nearby. my favorite was the greek place.
I had to "extract" a big hairball from the tub in order to get it to drain. it was sort of gross to see a big hair-ball.
The staff was excellent!. Friendly/accommodating/helpful. They went out of their way to help. Rooms were clean and had everything a traveler would need.
Not one thing was wrong with this place. Out of 100 hotels, this is in the top 5.
I loved the location and the emloyees
The air conditioner was a little loud and the TV was ancient and didn't work to well.
Our main purpose for coming to San Diego was to go to Sea World. This hotel was close and even offers a free shuttle to Sea World, a savings of $16. The staff was wonderful and eager to give every guest great customer service. The pool and hot tub were great and the breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here again.
It was a little loud late at night.
I liked the room size separate bed room and living room. Free limited breakfast
The bathroom wasn't properly cleaned. The shower wall had a hole in it. The carpet was old and the furniture was worn.
Good price. Not that far from the other more expensive locations.
Visible dried up liquid in front of the toilet when I arrived to hotel. While I can't say for sure it was urine, I know that it was a strong possibility. I put down towels over the bathroom floor so I wouldn't have to walk on it. It was gone by the 2nd day. Loud beligerent hotel parties kept me up all night. I guess that is not completely the staffs fault if no one complained, so I am nuetral on that issue.
I don't like the services in this inn. But i like the faculity
I liked that it was close to the Zoo and most other attractions in San Diego.
It was very dirty!! Beds were terribly uncomfortable along with the provided pillows. The shower floor was rusty. I couldn't walk through the room without my feet being black. The free breakfast was terrible as well. Overall it was a bad experience and I would never stay there again!
I booked my stay on Kayak.com and saved a lot more money than I would have going through Days Inn.
The beds were cramped and the tv didn't have a remote. When I asked for a remote at the front desk, I was told maintenance would bring me one to my room and they never showed up. The bathroom wasn't clean and still had toiletries from the last guest too!
Perfect location convenient to Airport, shopping and food. Morning newspaper, breakfast, friendly staff, pool and shuttle make this a great value for the price. By the way excellent Chinese food just across the intersection. We always stage our California holidays by starting and finishing at this facility. It is the best value for your money in San Diego. It's an older facility so understandably there are some small maintenance details but they seem to be working at it Shuttle drivers are the best. We'll be back!
Located close to everything.
Alot of homeless people in the area.
This Day's Inn is located half way between Downtown and Sea World. Close to Old Town and Point Loma. It seems an ideal location, I'm very pleased to have picked this one! The Hotel is about 3/4 miles from the freeway, so you can not hear that noise and we had a room way in the back where there was no road noise. I slept in a comfortable, quiet bed every night! I wish all hotels kept their pool as warm as the one here, it was great! I enjoyed the Jacuzzi too!
I wish the bathroom was larger. I wish the sink and counter space was larger. Several days we were shorted on towels. A call to the front desk quickly fixed this problem, but it kept reoccurring over the week.
- Clean sheets, comfy bed. - Good area
- AC unit leaked, was ether way too cold or too hot. - No remote for tv. - Water for shower and sink were boiling. - Food left under bed when arriving.
The staff were super nice and helpful! We were treated really well and we loved the shuttle service, flexible and saved us so much money. We definitely got our money's worth out of this hotel, would totally stay there again!
The only thing that was negative about the stay was people yelling at night in hallways and rooms around us.
I really liked how stores and restaurants such as Target and Sprouts (a grocery store filled with health-conscious food) were in such close proximity.
I did not like the mold that grew in the bathroom, the adult stores and strip clubs that surrounded the area, being awaken in the middle of the night by people screaming and fighting on the lower level of the hotel, and the clouds of smoke that my family and I had to walk through in order to leave the complex.
The staff was friendly.
All drains were very slow (sink, toilet, shower), internet very slow and cut off repeatedly, mattress was uncomfortable, nonsmoking room smelled like smoke, stain on sheet/pillow
Fan in our room was so loud I couldn't sleep and would periodically spit ice at me. Bad experience.
