Front desk person Jasmine was awesome. She was well spoken with perfect directions . You have a shining star with this girl !
Slight pet odor
I really like this hotel. it was clean and comfy. and close to the airport. I am very satisfied with this hotel
Old, low ceilings, small room, sad fitness center and pool
Staff is excellent. Responds to visitor needs. Friendly. Fairly close (walking distance) to Mission Bay and bike rentals.
Noisey from street traffic and freeway. NO visible recycling anywhere. Breakfast does not have healthy options; lots of white flour, sugar and premade eggs. Fruit was a few sad damaged oranges. Disposable dishes and cups. Not environmentally friendly.
I liked that the place was clean - which is actually a huge plus for a hotel to have. thats about all I can say that is positive.
The front desk staff is rude, and they are WAY overpriced for what they are.
Closeness of staff for any questions, assistance, We were well taken care of. Thank you!
no problems at all!
It is in a convenient but unattractive location
The Front Desk staff was on their respective cell phones too often
Great stay thank you
The room decor was nice. Very soothing and restful. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was great! Very roomy and well-appointed. Pool area was a bit small, but serviceable. Location is decent -- close to Garnet St. with lots of shops and restaurants close by.
Checkout staff was less than courteous. I told the woman I was checking out and requested a receipt, but was told that I couldn't have one because my room was booked through Hotelbeds or something like that. I had no idea what she was talking about as I booked my room through Kayak, so I requested that she get someone to help her with my receipt. The manager was able to print a "receipt" showing that I had checked out on a certain date, but it had no charges listed. There was NOTHING listed! I hope I don't have a problem with the bill after this.
Nice hotel for the money. Breakfast was good.
It was really near a few main arteries so I could get to where I needed quite quickly
Off a side road. Nothing attractive about it, but it was practical and clean. I had a very nice spacious room! Good coffee...
Very clean rooms, love the room environment Location was decent, not the best but for me and my wife on our honeymoon it was very enjoyable. Breakfast was good but some mornings overcrowded and out of some items of food. Room decor was fantastic, fridge was cold, microwave worked well, shower was very nice. Spacious bathroom!
One night on our floor a group of young adults or teenagers were banging music and smoking pot. (we could smell it walking by the door) I called front desk and we didnt have any issues afterwards.
Helpful and friendly staff check in was a breeze Good Location value for your money Quiet
I don't live far from this hotel, however, a few friends and I stayed here to have better access to the beach. Unfortunately we made the mistake of going during spring break for the surrounding colleges. There were parties going on during our stay, but since we were hardly in the room, we didn't complain or really deal with anything too bad. After coming back to the room to change before dinner, the manager of the hotel came to our room and accused us of smoking in the hotel. He said we needed to leave. I was in shock. I hadn't been notified of any complaints before. I told him, he was welcome to check the room and had our permission to check us. The funny thing is, nobody in that room even smoked and I think the blame was on us because we are all in our mid-twenties. After talking to the manager, he apologized and said he made a mistake, but I'm still surprised that they were ready to kick us out before talking with us about any complaints. It's a nice place and thankfully Kayak gave me a pretty good price, but I'm still a bit bothered by how the staff handled the situation. Hopefully this does not happen to others.
How the staff handled problems that did not involve us during the stay.
The beds were very comfortable. I was happy to have the microwave and fridge in my room. It was nice to be able to open my window a crack to get fresh air. Staff were friendly. Happy to be able to park my car in a covered garage.
The freezer had needed to be defrosted. The carpet in the hall ways looked dirty and old. The corners in the bath room had build up of dust and dirt.
Clean, great value for what you pay. Staff was super friendly. Clearly an older hotel that's been decently renovated. Ac worked great. Breakfast was pretty good. Parking was super easy.
Plumbing is a bit older and sink didn't drain very well. Stayed in a room right in front of the elevator and you could clearly hear the people outside, so I'm sure they could hear us, but you're getting what you pay for I guess.
Room was clean and updated
Staff was not welcoming ran out of food at breakfast staff was in no hurry to refill breakfast trays. Will not be staying there again
The rooms were really nice, clean and modern looking. Definitely worth the cost.
Noisy in the morning. Walls are too thin. We could clearly hear a child crying early in the morning in the room next to us. The area where the hotel was not the nicest area but still very close to everything.
Rooms were nice
The grounds and buildings around this hotel were not so nice
The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. It was also nice to have a small fridge and microwave in the room. The breakfast was very good and the free wi-fi speed was surprisingly fast. Overall the room price/value was good compared to other hotels in the general area. There were no resort fees or hidden costs.
The location/view was not great and you can't turn left from Garnet when approaching the hotel from the west. We had to do a U-turn 1/4 mile down the road..
