8.0 Very good
The community areas were excellent to include restaurants, bar, and event center. Notes for future improvements… elongated toilets (round bowls are ridiculous today) room 2708 had a funny smell like it was an old smoking room. The entry/exit gate was a pain because key cards did not work several times.
G
4.8 Mediocre
Pros:large rooms in tower
Cons:they were testing the fire alarm but they lost control of the alarm system and the alarm in the rooms kept going off for a few hours
P
7.7 Good
Pros:I like that they are upgrading their facility. The drawback is that the hotel only offers bare bones in the meantime. Hopefully the upgrades give this hotel the boost it needs.
Cons:Staff could’ve been friendlier, the “bar” was unattended for a bit, I could’ve poured myself a drink. Seems like there was no one around half the time.
M
7.4 Good
Pros:Location was good. Small cafe was nice. Staff was helpful. Rooms were large and beds comfortable. Once renovated, this hotel will be nice, especially for large groups.
Cons:First room smelled musty and balcony adjoined another on corner so no privacy without pulling curtains. Staff let us change to better room but all rooms in renovated tower were booked by a group. No hot water one day due to construction problem nearby. Facilities are dated but being renovated. Some trash in parking lot never cleaned up over our 6 day stay.
A
2.0 Poor
Pros:Nothing
Cons:Room smelled like someone defecated and then it was scrubbed into the old blue carpet that covers the whole place. We requested a new room that didn’t smell and the tv didn’t work in that room. We were too exhausted to request another room. Place is 20 years overdue for a renovation. Decor and furniture belong in 1989. Oh and not the mention the huge 1 inch gap at the bottom of the door to the room that was wide open for insects to crawl in and the air conditioned air to seep out of the room. Don’t come here! Ps.. good luck finding a parking spot near your room.
A
4.0 Mediocre
Pros:Remodeled interior
Cons:Unexpected fees, confirmed a king bed, was given a fold out couch bed that was a queen, dirty patio (underwear, cig butts, trash)
D
4.8 Mediocre
Pros:Location, staff, wi-fi.
Cons:Old property, uncomfortable mattress, small bathroom, sink and tile cracked, a/c was either on or off...no degrees, very noisy with very poor windows that didn't seal out much noise. Furniture felt old and cheap. With all that there's a $20 per night parking fee and an $18 per day "resort fee." There was nothing resort about it. I'm sure it was state of,the art when it was built but it's long past it's best days.
A
5.7 Fair
Pros:Comfortable bed and nostalgic large room.
Cons:Not well maintained giving the room a grungy feel. Housekeeping staff needs more training. The planned remodel will help this property, but if the staff does not learn how to appreciate and accommodate guests, the change will only be on the surface.
A
2.0 Poor
Pros:The renovated rooms were somewhat nice.
Cons:The air conditioner made an awful knocking sound, you could hear EVERY little thing outside, the construction was a huge mess, very cheaply put together. The sheets smelled like mildew. A couple of the white pillow cases had, what appeared to be, blood on them.
A
9.4 Wonderful
Pros:Bellman were the best! Helped me with luggage & getting around expansive grounds via electric carts. Very nice gift shop.
Cons:At times front desk & concierge desk were so overwhelmed/understaffed, it just wasn't worth the wait in line for service. Because of these lines/wait times, some seating is necessary on that side of lobby, or a number system for those who can't stand to wait in line.
