The staff was amazing and friendly. Sent wine to our room for anniversary and helped out with cab driver trying to swindle us. Rate was amazing. Shower did not work well. Could not switch to bath.
The staff at the Sheraton were very attentive to customers and their needs especially Minge. The Hotel was centrally located to many businesses and restaurants. Services were great i rate this hotel a 5.
They are so friendly at this hotel. We stay here all the time. It just happens to be in an area we need to be near. It also helps to have a Club level room. Free breakfast, snacks, etc. That way you feel like you are at home. This is an older hotel so the size of the bathroom was just barely adequate. I also don't like paying for parking but the cost was minimal. Other than that I can't say anything else negative about the hotel.
Great location easy access throughout San Diego. Though next to freeway, room was quiet. Easy parking and good staff.
I enjoyed the overall hotel but did not like the way everyone was checked in. I called serveral times to see if I could do a early check in 30 mins before 4pm. I was told to call back in an hour to see the status of the room. Still wasn't ready. We arrived about 30 mins before check in time and was still told it wasn't ready. Left to go grab dinner and came back aroun 4:45pm to check in and had to wait in line for over 30 mins. The rooms were nice, but the beds were very squeaky. Very uncomfortable
Close to restaurants and the shopping mall. I liked the in room Starbucks, free water bottles and nice bathroom. Right next to freeway so I could hear traffic constantly. No tv channel instructions and couldn't figure out the tv. It's not the typical hotel where we relax and watch movies at night. Also the mattresses did not seem for high quality. Felt stiff with good linens to make for poor mattress.
The hotel was clean and everyone was nice upon arrival. The walls were very thin. We could hear our neighbor's conversations and were woken up around 4am by some loud bass downstairs. Pretty disappointing considering everything else about the place was really nice.
Room 404 was too warm !
It was clean and comfortable, staff was nice. The prices in the shop are absolutely insane...charging for coffee and tea?! And then to park, like there are any other options. That's theft.
Close to airport. Parking was free and infront.. They did not call up for wake up. It was a disappointment. Tight quarters in the bathroom. The toilet situated too close to tub and basin.
The STAFF was the VERY BEST... WOW... Great front desk people extremely helpful Executive Floor staff always attentive... Housekeeper very good Maintenance Guy... did good Job. when he tried to fix the AC... Bar lady... was extremely helpful Room was Great and nice size .. nice remodeling job This was extremely nice Hotel... please trust me ..and stay there! TIP: Book on Kayak and 30 days in adv. then the rate will be MUCH less ,,, only 1/2 of the normal rate... NONE!!!!

Awesome location for Halloween celebrations!! Had so much fun! Lots of places to go within walking distance. Didn't have to leave the hotel except that we wanted to people watch. The costumes were amazing! Can't beat the Gaslamp for Halloween!
Very modern hotel, friendly staff and great location to many shops and restaurants Bed wasn't very comfy
Room was dirty
Near the convention center and very comfortable. No complaints
Perfect location for Gas Lamp bars and food.
Great location and very nice staff (did a lot extra due to it being my GF's Bday). No

This hotel is very chic and modern loved everything about it!
Location, unique decor. The gym room is tiny! And the room wasn't huge either. So fed up with 4&up star hotels forcing you to get out of your room in order to get a decent coffee or breakfast and not offering really anything except decoration.

Location, staff attitude and willingness to go the extra mile. Property was very well kept, service, from valet to restaurant, was excellent. Friendly, pet-acceptance, was a plus great pool area TV watching in room was not same in bar, should be able to watch game in room or in the bar area. Two differnt tv packages seemed senseless.
Very expensive parking
Two-minute walk to the exhibit halls and lots of shops and restaurants just outside the hotel doors. Central location for site-seeing as well.
Hotel was excellent location. From the minute we drove up to valet to checking in and out, customer service was great. Right in the main location of downtown gaslamp, next to Petco park which we were there for the All Star game. Had an amazing time. Would definitely stay here again. Customer service, location and hotel. Room was comfortable.
Room was nice and clean. The view was great. Location was great, located is in the middle of gas lamp and the convention center to take the ferry to Coronado. No self parking garage. Valet only at $47 a night.
Loved the room and location At check in, the young man at the front desk seemed a little condescending and rude.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room quality didn't meet expectations for rates and hotel appearance.
They gave my Wrong room
Room per night was cheap 120... plus tax... I was there for comic con...it's a hotel it's not a 4 star hotel though...maybe for location but the amenities are very basic and the guy there was rude at the front desk.
Very good location for the Gaslamp Quarter Didn't know that it was Valet Parking only at $47 per night. With this charge added to the room charge per night, I don't think I'd stay here again.
The hotel was lovely and the concierge was super helpful in finding me a place to get a relaxing mani-pedi.
Location is amazing!! Very clean! Nice staff Didnt end up getting a room with two beds like I had reserved because I booked through a third party.
Convenient location, friendly staff. Super corporate, fixtures seemed old, rooms poorly ventilated.
Very nice hotel. I would like to have been told that parking was valet and $45 per night.
I did not request a handicapped room and I was put into one by mistake. I called in advance before I checked in day-of, someone told me they could change my room when I got there and the hotel was not sold out. 45 minutes later when I arrived, the desk clerk said the hotel was sold out and there was nothing they could do. It was imperative that I have a bathtub due to personal restrictions, but I didn't have a tub - only a roll-in shower that is horrible to deal with and very messy. I was charged $42 for overnight parking in addition to a very pricey room. I won't stay here again.
it was very central. had a quiet room. hot tub & pool were great very business orientated - seminars & conferences
Shop & sightsee
located very central, bars and restaurants in walking distance, shopping mall close by. Very nice and big room during our stay a conference was going on and you we were woken up at 6 o'clock every day by the noises through the air-con-shafts and thin walls
Excellent bedding and service Hotel did not have our reservation that we made online. Toilet was not clean when we checked into our room, had not been flushed or cleaned.
Location was excellent for the centre of San Diego and convinient for the shopping area.
Proximity to shops and restaurants The floor we stayed on smelt terribly of cigarette smoke and we had to complain before it was addressed. Also, our room key had to be reset 5 times in 3 days and I didn't even carry my phone with me so not sure what the reason was. Was a minor inconvenience, but other than that, was a comfortable stay.
The price ($99 / night) for the location and the dimension of the room (very usefull with a baby). The hotel and the rooms are old: used furniture, heater not working, stains on the floor, TV remote not working... I guess they will increase their rates once renovated
ı lıke to shopping and restaurants. ıt looks lıke empty and cold it is not like the westin st. fr. san f.
Nice and clean. Looks brand new. Rooms. Hallways, lobby, etc.
Walking distance to the mall. Modern. Fourth floor room facing the circle was noisy.
It was so very close to our destination We saw roaches in the restroom and the kitchenette...
I loved the rooms!! They were nice and clean! (cleaning staff was very friendly) and I love the tropical feel to the hotel especially all the plant life around the property and on the patio areas!! Hung out there a lot!! Also loved all the pools!! my kids loved that!!! I thought the hotel staff was a bit unknowledgeable especially up at the front desk!!!! Parking was ok during the day but once you left in the evening your spot was gone!?!? Didn't care for the Firefly we went and ate at Buffalo Wild Wings near by! (Amazingly cold beer!)
The location was great and easy to get to attractions and the beach from. Liked the Blue Pearl Restaurant for breakfast - fast service and a lot of food for the money. Wished it was open for dinner. After our experience at the Firefly, we had to change and get in the car and drive to a place to eat at night. It would have been nice to eat at the hotel. Did not like the food at the Firefly restaurant. I would help if they had a better selection - especially one any aged kid would like. Spoke with others staying there and their experience was the same, couldn't find anything on the menu to order for the family, and when they did order - they were out of half of it! No bread, etc. Once you left your parking spot in the evening - you couldn't find one when you got back from dinner. They definitely need to have more parking!
The main good thing about the hotel is location. Close to highways and pretty easy to get to other popular areas nearby. If you're not planning on staying in the room this place is fine, but I still think it's a bit pricier than necessary. It's not really a hotel, rather than a motel. You pull up right to your room. The room was kind of dirty and had a musty smell. You are forced to pay to park your car overnight which is an extra $20 a day.
Great location, went for a wedding Basically a glorified motel paid way to much for what we got!
Beautiful and well maintained. Movie at the pool was very loud and we could hear it over our own TV. Waiter at Firefly restaurant had a bad attitude.
Grounds were nice Poorly managed, no hot water, did not clean rooms daily
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a room upgrade to a room with a view of the pool in the 100 building which was perfect for us. The restaurant firefly was great... excellent dinner our first night there.
Beautiful grounds Friendly staff Small closet Need more towel racks or hooks
I really was completely surprised by how the views were in the bay. It was totally amazing and enjoyed all the pictures I was able to take with the wedding party. I requested clean sheets and a king size bed which was accommodated for with no issues. The Firefly restaurant staff was really nice and always willing to converse. I arrived at about 2pm, already paid for and pre check online services. Stated my room wouldn't be ready until after 4 pm. My primary preference was a view of the harbor or the bay. I requested the room 4 months in advance. After the wedding/reception was over, I still didn't receive a phone call or email that my room was available. They also surprised me with another $20 for parking, would've been nice to know since I was renting a car and paying for that as well.
I loved the bed...it was very comfortable To many people around our room smoking
The rooms were comfortable and nice. Plant life around the hotel was beautiful. Fire fly was delicious. Great pool for kids and adults. Nice location to missin beach Not a lot of food choices. We went to blue pearl restaurant after your front office told us where it was, only to find out they were closed on Mondays, obviously the front desk lady didn't know that. I also mentioned it to the staff at fire fly and they had no idea either!!! I confirmed my reservation online and received a text stating he room would be ready at 3:00. I called to make sure and once again the front desk staff had no idea... They said they don't send out text messages lol. Funny because I got one, and even showed it to her! It said "the Dana on mission bay" I also asked the front desk staff for more creamer and she said she would have someone bring it to my room, I told her no, my whole family was still sleeping. She said " I don't know what to tell you then". I was also charged $14 for wifi and an expired coupon book I never used and/or asked for. I guess you could just say your front desk staff is horrible, the rest is great!!!
The customer services was great. The hotel was beautiful and well maintained. My room was a little be dusty, which affected my allergies. However, the dust was manageable.
Check-in was efficient & friendly. Great wifi. Excellent pool. This time our room faced C Street - very noisy. Previous stay we faced 3rd Street - much quieter.
comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Kind and friendly staff, prompt response with broken thermostat. Kind and courteous repair workers. There was a few (2) pieces of trash on my bed when I got there (a piece of tissue and a cap to a water bottle). The thermostat dial was broken and I immediately had to call for a repair. My room was directly over train tracks that ran ALL NIGHT LONG!
Very classy, beautifully appointed hotel. Staff helpful, polite and wanted our stay to be as comfortable as possible. Our room was lovely and the turn down service was appreciated - especially the music playing and the low lighting when we returned in the evening. I agree the C street side of building a bit noisy, but would not deter me from staying there again when we are in San Diego. The valet was very prompt to deliver our car and 2 young men helped us with our luggage. We had room service breakfast.. Very, very good...Thank you for a lovely stay...
The decor was a little dates but very opulent...really beautiful chandeliers in the lobby accented with elaborate holdings! Our room was not well cleaned from previous stays. We encountered the following: 1. Old pack of cigarettes in the closet 2. Large stain on one of the robes 3. Opened and half consumed water in the mini fridge (as a part of the $15 resort fee you receive 4 free water bottles in the mini fridge) 4. Dirty ice bucket containing a good amount of water/alcohol remains 5. Stepped on a very sharp furniture tack that must have come loose and was on the floor by my bed
Friendly staff, good location, etc. Balcony is not too big. Take one step out and that's all you got....other than that, cool hotel to stay. Not hip, but cool.
The staff was very friendly and helpful since we didn't know our way around San Diego. The room was very comfortable and beautiful. We would stay there again. There were add on charges.
The room was clean and very comfortable Sirens!
I really liked coming back to the room st night and finding the lights dimmed, the bed turned down and nice relaxing misic playing. This was a very nice touch The hotel had a musty smell that was unappealing. The concierge and some of the people at the front desk were not very friendly/helpful when I asked about place to get a good fish taco and hoe to get to old down. Made me feel like I was shaking silly questions and bother.
The hotel is beautiful! The staff was helpful and prompt. There was someone there right away to take our luggage to our room, and our room was ready upon an early arrival. I'd stay there again! After checking out, the valet didn't help us get our luggage in our vehicle. $30.00 a night I felt it should have been better service.
As mentioned, the location is excellent for walking around Little Italy and the Gaslamp district. The staff are friendly and helpful. I like the showers as they are quite spacious and can function as a mini-tub. Overall it was a clean and comfortable environment. The room was aligned with the light rail. Every time a train left the adjacent station, the conductor tested the horn. It was too much noise for the hotel not to give us a heads up. Two stars for this "oversight".
Location was perfect, service was exceptional. David, who was on the front desk when we arrived, was outstanding. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and other activities in the hotel and the surrounding area. Housekeeping was outstanding, with turndown, chocolates, And room set up with lighting and mood music upon return at the end of our days out. Concierge was very helpful with information and ticketing for tours. Great pool area on third story patio deck. One of the best hotel experiences we have had! We recommend it highly. Street Car noise on the side of the building where our room was located.
We were upgraded from a double queen to a junior suite that was very large. Comfortable beds, fluffy towels, frig, m/w, toaster, utensils and dishes, dining table w/ 4 chairs, 2 other chairs and a desk w/chair. It was in the Casa del Mar building. Lovely walking path along the harbor, exercise room (with tv, but make sure it's plugged in. I didn't catch that the first time I tried) and pools (didn't use). Did not eat in the restaurant as we have family in San Diego where we ate. It's in a good location for us. Some streets in San Diego change names at intersections you might not expect them to, so review a good street map before you set out. Airport very close by, but wasn't bothered by jet noise - maybe they just go over my daughter's house. :-) Bathroom fan quite loud, but it was never on for very long. We were on the street side so our view from the patio was bushes and cars. We weren't there to sit on the patio and if I wanted to see the sailboats all I had to do was walk to the marina side. No breakfast included, but with family in the area that was o.k. plus there are plenty of other choces for breakfast if you don't want to eat at the hotel.
Absolutely love the quiet harbor side stay in beautiful San Diego... Spectacular views and amazingly quiet and with a hint of luxury and the staff was nice and welcoming Staff double charged me for my stay...
friendly staff at check-in great room and view of marina comfortable beds/pillows great location at marina and close driving distance to downtown good area for morning run complimentary bikes and tennis equipment pool was heated and jacuzzi was nice and hot further than I thought from downtown but still great location $10 to park car
Nice clean location with great view of the marina. Had trouble sleeping and relaxing with poor sound proofing. We could clearly hear the people speaking in the room next to us with very little privacy. The entry door to our room also had a large gap at the floor which let in light and sound.
Excellent Location San Diego Bay across street and boat marina on the other side of hotel.
Location to other fun places to visit, Nice pools and view of the waterfront. Bathroom sink needs attention room 401, noise from Navy base.
The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The view was nice. The beds were hard and my back had a negative reaction to it.
He best western had a beautiful view of the marina and the room was very clean. We traveled with a one year old and they provided a crib. There is a playground across the street which was great. This is in a perfect location. Isolated from noise and congestion so you can enjoy the peace and beauty of the marina. It is close to gas lamp, pacific/ocean beach, and sunset cliffs. Will stay there again the next time we come! Don't expect early check in. When they say check in is at 4, it's at 4. But at least the location is in a great area so you can go eat or go walk around Belmont park
Beautiful room with a balcony and water view Great new comfy bed Friendly, helpful staff Good restaurant with reasonable pricing and solid local clientele Easy parking Slightly noisy on the street side due to traffic and airport
Location Room -crappy bathroom, loud AC, horrible /no view
Location. Friendly staff. Clean. Room was amazing. Comfot.
Location was ok with a car easy access to downtown, shopping , restaurants etc We could hear doors closing , other guests talking when in our room
The location was perfect, plus they had a shuttle That would take you to the zoo, Horton plaza and seaport village. The air conditioner wouldn't go below 70 and parking was a bit crazy. You get charged an additional $26 a day to park in the parking structure.
Clean room and sheets. No restaurant on site.
Right on the waterfront. Was able to be on the side facing the water. Room had been remodeled. In the process of remodeling. Parking was extra and not guaranteed. bathroom door had no lock
The hotel had an excellent location right along the bay. It was close to many attractions and restaurants. There was nothing wrong with this hotel, it was just very average. I would say it met expectations, but did not exceed. Rooms were a decent size, beds were comfortable. We could have benefited from a room with a better view; we couldn't enjoy our balcony because we were right above the air conditioning unit which was very loud.
The water view was just amazing. Airport is a little too close
I loved the location since it was near to the Train station, waterfront and little Italy. I liked that the maintenance fixed our sink within an hour when it would not drain. The maid did a great job of cleaning. One staff member was rude when informing us that we could no longer buy any breakfast items. I wish there was an affordable restaurant in the hotel and that it offered free breakfast. The sink would not drain, so maybe updating maintenance more often would be good. Training the front desk staff on being more informative to guests about facilities and information on the hotel upon check-in is needed very much.
Do not stay here. The hotel was below average for the price, the hotel staff were not helpful and uninformed. Worst of all was this sign noticed while checking out: WARNING: This building contains chemicals, known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. They were not helpful and I cannot remove the exposure I experienced. Do not stay here. The hotel was below average for the price, the hotel staff were not helpful and uninformed. The hotel is well situated overlooking the bay. Be sure to get a bay view room. Otherwise you could stay at any non-view hotel for less. The surprise $24.00 'self-parking' charge per day. The $3.00 for Lobby Coffee. plus tip of course.
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The location was great; right on the waterfront which was close to some great sites and also walking distance from gas lamp and other cool places. Some parts of the hotel seemed dated or in need of repair, like the elevator. Internet was a little sketchy in the room from time to time and I had to call for support.
the hotel is only minutes front eh airport. it is right along the waterfront, which is beautiful. The city views are also delightful. Very close to the train which provides easy transport to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. Close to many attractions. Convient to all the city opportunities. It worked out great for my baseball stay. Helpful concierge. Close to restaurants. I would stay there again. Wish it had free parking. Closet in bathroom not my first choice. Bouncers at a private party not very friendly.
The location is AMAZING, I highly recommend it. When we first arrived I was disappointed by the outside of the building (it looks very dated) but the interior was GREAT and the room was extremely comfortable. One of the best beds I have slept in at a hotel!
Nice design for the room. Contemporary, freshly renovated. Lovely views. Good location especially for cruise goers.
very nice hotel, design, modern, great location in gaslamp quarter, internet free the room is a bit small
Bed was comfortable, good size room, clean, nice staff, great breakfast at restaurant, good drinks at night! Pool area was very cramped...people ended up just laying on towels on the cement...not enough umbrellas
The reception staff was very helpful.Good room with great bathtub.Very nice breakfast. I had to have a credit card to check in even though i had the full roomrent in cash. They wanted to block 2000 Dollars for a two night stay costing 460 Dollars. The manager was very helpful and we sorted the problem but its still shocking that you have to be in the possession of a credit card to being able to stay at any given hotel
Service, Service, Service!!! Perfect! Justin at the front desk was exceptionally helpful
Gym was ok... pool rooftop wad excellent. Location to convention center was excellent No drawers in room shower was terrible. ...Just a wand...no nozzle above
I love the hotel. Rooms were big & well appointed. There were lots of complimentary options like water, juice, Keurig coffee & tea varieties, wine after 5pm, expresso & treats in lobby, shower, bed, pillows. Room service was terrible, my steak was super well done but lots of excellent restaurants near by.
The shower The fact that we had to pay 30 USD per day for parking our car. This should be part of the room for guest with reservation. 60USD is too much for simply keeping your car in the place you are staying!
Great decor,rooms,location and staff.
The rooms are great and I specifically liked the bathroom accessoires (like shampoo, bath rope et cetera). On weekend-days, their nightclub on top has very, very loud music. I couldn't sleep because of it. They should tell you this in advance, for this price you expect a good night's sleep.
Top rate friendly staff. excellent accommodations. centrally located. the location, although centrally located was very urban and close to some what appeared to be homeless shelters. I didn't have any problems and it was fine, but I think awareness of surroundings would need to be stressed.
Great vibe. Beautiful Hotel. Great staff and service. Loved the rooftop pool. A little noisy. The room was on the 5th floor and there was a frequent rumbling sound coming from what sounded like above us. It made it difficult to sleep. I needed ear plugs.
I love the hotel overall and the on site restaurant/facilities. The rooms could use a bit of upgrading, specifically the bathrooms need to be updated. the shower and shower hardware was not very clean or nice.
Juat awesome place Expensive parking, resort fee added to my bill
View, patio, comfortable bed, clean, no smell in room. Paying for parking ($35 per night) $100 fee for my dog. One kind of fancy restaurant on the premises. Should have some place nearby where you can purchase coffee. We had to walk a bit to Einstein brothers which is a bagel place just to get coffee. They had coffee in the rooms but then you're using paper accessories like the cream.
It'a all about the location. We could see and hear the fireworks from Sea World every night. We borrowed boogie boards and an umbrella so we could enjoy a day at the beach with comfort. We selected a room with a view. What we got was a view of trash bins. They charge a $19 resort fee per day, and you also have to pay $27/day to park in their lots. They have LOTS of "extra" fees that I was not aware of. Their bed was no better than a Comfort Inn, and at the Comfort Inn they definitely have better pillows. I expected more and received a lot less.
the room was not well maintained the tub has some kind of paint over it and there was a massive chip out of it. I complained to the front desk, who would not let me speak to a manager. Therefore nothing was done to improve my situation and I have little faith that the overall issue of poor maintenance was addressed. this was in the "suites" section. I actually wanted to be in the tower and they moved us to these and said there were no rooms in the tower. So be sure to emphasize what room type you want.
Location Room was dirty esp. the bathroom. Was given a room in the 2nd floor above the lobby. Our friends who declined this floor and got a room in the high rise building had much better rooms.
Onsite restaurant was not that good, food and service
The view was beautiful -marina right in front of hotel. Room was moldy, smelly, single pane glass , so I was up most of night because of noise outside. Would not stay again -self parking was also $36/night
Great location. Fun pool for the kids! Paying for parking.
Pool was amazing, nice restaurant, friendly staff Parking price is ridiculous, cost an extra $60 just to have my car at the hotel I was staying at! The room temp was weird, would get really chilly with air on and really stuffy with it off, setting thermostat didn't help. Restaurant was nice but also pricey.
pools and location were great. lots of family activities. Noisy rooms, bad wireless (could not get reception in the pool area)
Only regret is that we did not have enough time there. Loved our room and lagoon. Felt lush and tropical!
It was an awesome much needed getaway for both my husband and I. Such a peaceful serene setting nestled in Mission Bay. It was perfect. Rooms were always nice and clean, the property itself is kept I pristine condition despite the wildlife, aka birds. Would recommend it to anyone whether young or old single or with a family this place is AWESOME!
The location was good and the grounds were nice. The bed was very uncomfortable. Nothing great about the room that made it any better than a Motel 6. The price was steep for what we got. The one night we went to the hot tub it had way too much chlorine in it. When we kicked the jets on it was burning our eyes. Both the AC and the fridge were extremely loud. I had to leave the AC off and unplug the fridge to fall asleep. A lot of extra fees even after booking a total cost package. Those fees were over $100 in"resort fees" and then parking fees on top if that. All in all, I would rather have stayed elsewhere considering what we did on the trip.
Grounds, room was big, location Felt like i paid a little more than it should have been, for a non water view room
We loved the golf course and beach access so near. Felt like we were in Hawaii, beautiful grounds Fun bar and live band A few more activities would be nice, perhaps led by the hotel and options for things to do with family. Room exteriors need to be updated. Finish construction asap. Update pool areas to include a "babies" water fun area A facelift of the buildings and some paint is key.
beautiful sunsets really terrible hidden $37 parking fee and the resort upkeep not great. also bring a trash can because there is not a single one on the property.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating in every way. The grounds were really nice and relaxing. You do get hit with an excessive parking fee, which I find weird since the hotel owns the whole area. The rooms could use a little bit more TLC (better cleaning, spiderwebs, and bugs in room). Our outside chairs were beyond filthy, sitting in them would have left our clothes stained in dirt/filth. Beds were okay comfort wise. Any issues brought up to the staff was quickly and generously remedied.
I enjoyed the view of the water and the jungle like grounds. For $300 a night the rooms should be updated. The bed was of low quality and the TV did not swivel to face the bed. The bathroom was old and needed to be redone. The air conditioner sounded like it was on its last leg.
Resort was amazing. Great location, friendly staff, and fun activities and accommodations (bike and boat rentals etc) for the whole family! Really did feel like a resort getaway! Only downside was the bathrooms. Not terrible, but something should be done there. Small flies swirling around, kind of dirty, and water resistant paint needed etc. Also outside furniture had many spider webs, needed a cleaning.
I can bring my Hobiecat right on the beach in front of my room. Bon fires on the beach at night. House keeping didn't show up on the second day. No coffee no shampoo The hotel is on the beach so you go thru a lot of towels.
The accommodation/rooms need to be refreshed the rooms look old and not well kept. This is not a four star resort and the price is too high.
Beach view pretty Beds were hard as a rock, woke up with kinks in neck and shoulder. Tossed and turned all night every night. Pillows not very plush / soft. Mattress very uncomfortable. Lots of flies and bugs in room. Overall room leaves A LOT to be desired. If I was rating just room i would give it one star. Didn't feel like a 4 star resort.
Well restored and maintained. A/C didn't work the whole time during our stay.
I liked that the room was beautiful and unique. I did not like that one side of the bed was caved in and made it quite difficult to sleep that night. Noisy traffic was also a problem right outside of our window. We couldn't get the air conditioner to work so the room was very stuffy. I guess I'm used to the amenities that hotel chains offer. We will not be staying here again.
This hotel was horrible , the room is amall, the bed is not comfort and make too much noise evrery time you move, we can not sleep when the people talking from outside at midnight. And the foot steps on the second floor early in the morning. We had to take the sleeping pill at that night. The location is OK. No view and no parking. I never stay in the hotel like this before, I am so disappointed when I book online, it said this is Five star hotel. I can say this is a motel than hotel. I wish the owner refund my money back because We are not happy at all and Thia is false advertising on line.
Beautiful property located in the best part of San Diego
Great vintage Victorian B&B! Highly recommended
Mr. A's restaurant across the street. Perfect romantic getaway. Unique beyond explanation. Excellent service. Clean rooms. Very comfortable bed. Tub was very tall. Careful climbing in.
A beautiful historic home with a friendly staff.
We arrived a little after 8 PM and entered this quaint little place. The staff was very friendly and there is 24/7 coffee and tea available in the lobby. They still had the Christmas decorations up and personally I thought it was great! The room was large. The bed was comfortable, the flat screen TV was nice, they have multiple WiFi networks to choose from that were strong enough to support chromecast, and there were lamps everywhere. The bathroom was large as well, not to mention clean, and they provide Costco sized dove shampoo and conditioner in addition to body wash! The location is perfect to say the least. We love walking everywhere, so we walked to the Gaslamp district, to Balboa park, and more. I'd say it about a 1.5 mile walk at most. The only time we needed a car was coming from the train station and going back there with our luggage. Using Lyft minimized the expense and it cost about $10 with tip for each ride. We really want to return just to try every other room and see the great staff again! The walls are a little thin, but that was to be expected with how old the place probably is. I cannot think of anything else that might be bothersome to others.
The building is beautiful with stained glass windows and hardwood floors. The advertised amenities were not available for our stay. There is no longer any breakfast served here, the room advertised a sauna, but did not have one, and the staff spoke very broken english. The Britt Scripps Inn is really great, but the false advertisements mislead my decision to stay here.
Location, price, parking, and ambiance. They could get better beds. Was not very comfortable and felt the bed sheets weren't as clean as they are in hotels. The outside lights were also out. I also felt it was a little haunted. haha- maybe I just sike myself out.
Beautiful historic building close to El Prado and Balboa Park. Polite staff. Comfortable bed and updated bath. A bit worn and not the cleanest. No breakfast.
The place was clean and great for an anniversary location was nice and Central for downtown San Diego. Parking was across the street in a locked parking structure but was a little difficult getting in and out but overall was nice. The room air conditioner did not work at all it was very hot the windows had no screens on them and the hot water took 5 minutes to get to the shower the window from the bathroom opened up into the Next Room balcony could not use it they could look right into your room people were walking all night because it was a downtown area not very safe but we still had a good trip. The continental breakfast they offered was very small and not very good they could use some upgrading in this area the hostess sat right in the entrance way where everyone was eating it was a little unorganized. All in all for a hotel in San Diego the price was right it was small not crowded so I feel it was an OK deal but not anything for a long time stay or for kids.
Landscaping is beautiful. Staff at service cafe very courteous. Check-in at 4pm instead of usual 3pm. Really messed up our day. Staff at desk had very poor customer service. Not friendly at all. Room was very small. Much smaller than advertised picture. Not even a continental breakfast even though the cost of the room is high. Cafe was overpriced.
Great stay and wonderful staff. Thank you all.
Costumer service was amazing, yet every 3 hours we had the fire alarm go off on us! Not too relaxing
I liked the two ladies from the front desk!! That I stayed only for one night..
I liked the mini restaurant, and the mirror in the bedroom I didn't like how small the tub was, or how pricey the meal was for breakfast
The towels in our room had lipstick stains. Makes you wonder what else was not cleaned..
We liked the fast and easy of the reservation online, location of the hotel, the staff that were working at the resection, the confort of the beds and the cleanliness of the room, the free parking and the price for all this.
It was a very nice hotel clean, comfortable, and easily assessable. I didn't like the fact that people were smoking weed inside and outside there rooms.
The thing I liked best about the Best Western Seven Seas was the front desk people. They were nice, but when I asked for a room a little closer up (safer with 3 kids alone), she just said, "We have security." But I don't think I saw security around. I was kind of scared and even my daughters felt insecure too. The area is shady. Honestly, this hotel looks equal to all the other lowest-end hotels on hotel circle drive. They are all pretty shotty looking, and the Best Western just has prettier pictures, but don't let it fool you. Save money and go to a different hotel on the street, only if you don't mind a CHEAP hotel and a shady area throughout. Also, we saw 3 ants crawling on us while there for a night and the rooms are extremely SMALL, like the smallest standard room I think I have ever stayed in. It wasn't clean or nice at all and I kept my flip flops on while walking on the gooey-feeling carpet. Go a few miles up north and pick a little better area if you want nice because you won't get a nice hotel on Hotel Circle Drive (I looked around after checking out one day early).
Hotel was just fine for what we needed, a place to crash after our flight.
It was quiet Felt a little low-end. Ac units were leaking water onto the sidewalk. The parking lot had very tight parking lanes.
Cheap and clean room I could hear every word, sneeze, cough, and tv show of the rooms next to me. Extremely annoying and did not let me sleep.
Really liked the Hotel. The location was great. Service was excelent. We will stay there again.
Everything was very clean, tidy and the staff made you feel at home. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The night time hours were quite noisy due to guests in rooms close by coming and going around midnight/1am.
convenience to Petco Park, Seaport Village, & the Midway carrier lack of free parking
Early check-in, option to add microwave, fridge and a crib, friendly staff and fast service. $15 self parking per night right across the street. Small restaurant, no swimming pool or a gym.
the front desk was very accomodating to any questions or requests we had
Roof top bar is a lot of fun No swimming pool
it right by Petco Park, you can see the baseball game from our room no pool or hot tub, parking was incredibly high $32
Great location walking distance to food and bars/clubs. Rooftop bar was good but overpriced drinks The beds were really small
Again the staff was excellent, from the valet guy to the maids, they all go beyond there line of duty. The room I stayed looked like one of the older ones that hasn't been updated, the beds were worn and very lumpy, the shower did not work properly.
The location is great, right in the Gaslamp Quarter. Everything is walking distance. They charge for US$30.00 for an overnight valet parking. There is no other possibility to park anywhere nearby. I think 30 dollars is a lot for it,. or they should include this in the hotel room rate so the guests will not feel that they need to pay some more extras.
Easy to get to. close to the freeways. Staff was great. Had to pay for parking.
The room was clean the shower took way too long to drain out
It was very comfortable & quiet. Great 2-night stay. The room humidity was high and felt musty from the AC or something.
the cost for the room not clean, bed sheet where low grade, very noisy charge for parking now rude guy at checkin
The theme of the room had a settled rosy feeling in red love like colors. This surrounded the entire hotel, and the customer service was excellent with courtesy. Good to say it went well. Didnt like the non complimentary breakfast. Most palaces offer this and it would of been the top of the icing for a great place.
Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean no water in the gym or in the vending machines, no breakfast, not even a place to buy one.
The hidden parking fee charged at end of check out
Location, friendly/helpful staff
it was clean. The front door to our room would not shut all the way looks as though they tried to grind it for settling but still didn't shut stayed for 2 days could hear animals fighting outside and people talking outside the floor was weak in spots and creaked .
The hotel was awesome, and great for the price.
1. Reasonably-priced. 2. There was a long line at the check-in/out counter, but the staff was very accommodating/pleasant, so the long wait was more bearable. 1. We were on the 2nd floor. We could feel the floor vibrating whenever there were people walking along the corridor. 2. The bathroom door is difficult to slide close/open and the lock was not working properly.
Great location- close to everything. very nice rooms, nice workers, restaraunts & mini market walking distance, fridge & microwave in room, would definitely stay there again!!
Relaxing with great amenities and unbelievable views from the courtyard and restaurant. Check-in is later than normal- our room wasn't ready until after 3. We were able to drop off our luggage and wander around the beautiful island in the meantime. Parts of the hotel have a musty smell. We were able to switch to a better room for only $30 to avoid this.
Great Facilities-grounds were kept well Front line staff at check in were not knoweledgeable about San Diego and area. The phone in my room did not work which was concerning and when this was brought to the front desk staff they were not receptive. You need to remember that front desk staff are the staff that are first encountered. They leave the first and last impression
Our room was pleasant. The littler porch area, with door opening from our bed area, was pretty, looking out at the boats, fireworks at Sea World, with, no less, an American flag waving in the breeze in front of our room as the fireworks went off! The full moon which also shone over the water was a timely advantage as well :) Pretty good area to take walk in, strolling along the water. The navy base across the way had some helicopters, boats out and this was interesting and did not interupt our visit. The children playing in the sand outside our room was also pleasant. Although our children are grown, it brought back fun memories of taking them to the ocean in Washington, where we live. Our computer would not work in the room well. We did get some help from the front desk (they were pleasant) w/ attempts to get the internet service, but this was an inconvenience and hastle.
Location was fantastic! Maids were prompt in cleaning the rooms. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms inside were outdated and beds were a little soft (worn out). For the price we got it great value. The parking fee and the fee to workout room I could not get over. Both should be included and are not.
The room was very nice & the resort seemed to be very well maintained. The pool area & hot tub next to the marina were great places to hang out. We had a bay view room & the views from the room were great! In fact, we were able to watch the tall sailing ships sailing up & down the bay on Labor Day weekend. The food & drinks were a bit pricey but we had good service & everything tasted really good. We'll definitely try the bloody mary bar next time.
We liked the rooms and facilities (pool, marina side beach) They tried to put us in a room with one bed when we booked a room with two doubles, we are a family of three and I refuse to put my daughter on a roll away, when we booked for two beds. The other people checking in at the same time we were also had problems with their accommodations.
The restaurant is excellent and is easily the bet feature of the hotel. No action on my request to have the blockage of the wash basin fixed.
Not much at all. The room was very small and it was supposed to be a deluxe room. The toilet seat was hanging off the hinges and the shower head was broken. Also, there was a huge water bug in my bed. The staff said it is common due to the bay. It was disgusting!! Overall, the place needs an overhaul.
I liked the convenience and the location of the hotel.
I liked the location the best, waking up to the beach view was amazing and super relaxing Nothing
The location was great, quietly located at the end of Shelter Island with good views of Point Loma, North Island, and the Pacific. I enjoyed the waterfront path and could get a good 4+ mile run in with little of it on the street. There was some confusion as a result of a change of ownership and renovation. We needed a guest laundry facility and we were told by one employee there was a quarter operated laundry only to be told by another employee that it was closed. No microwave was available for use on the entire property. The pool never had towels available, happy hour was only inside not at the pool bar, and the gym was closed/non existent yet we were charged a "resort" fee upon checkout. Also, parking was pricey even though half the parking lot was closed to be used as a construction staging area forcing us to park a long distance from our room. For the money, stay next door at the Best Western Plus.
The location on shleter Island is great, you have a nice view over the bay of San Diego. We like the atmospere on the island, a nice place to stay!
Great location! Centrally located, easy to access trolley and buses. Helpful and courteous staff. Maintenance issues. Dresser drawers broken, Stairmaster equipment rusted and shuts down in middle of workout. Wifi kept disconnecting. $15 daily extra charge to use fitness center and wifi also was not clearly described by counter staff beforehand.
The rooms were small and had a weird smell. My fiancé and laid down and were disturbed by a big bug running across the bed. We called the front desk and explained what happened and they didn't see to care much. They just gave Us another small stinky room. Also when I asked about the golf course they show on their brochure they told us it's not owed by them so they couldn't get me access...totally misleading pics will no longer stay there it's not worth it.
Area plase easy acces to the freway ilumination Expensive and other charges like parking and wi five in dont usex and i have to paY i rhing this needs to be a corresy of the hotel the room was to humed even if we uzsed the ac and the carpet smell like pop o animal pi
Though grounds and buildings and exteriors clearly need refreshening, room in tower interior and bedding was updated and clean, and right next to parking lot a 10 min stroll to convention center. Glad we packed lightly with rolling luggage as self serve. Convention food was bland, worse than summer camp, even banquet food was bland, 8 days with no hot meals for gluten free except for on last couple days bland dishwater-like soup finally labeled gluten-free. Quinoa cold salad was delicious - also only offered one day and leftovers in buffet next day - glad I tried it but overheard others afraid to try as assumed made with unhealthy canned peas and carrots, but was actually cut fresh raw cucumber celery and carrot. Should have offered rate reduction. Survived on the 24 hr carrot and celery sticks and whole fruit as breadless hot dogs and cold tasteless canned tuna did not appeal to me and boiled eggs was onlything i could eat from breakfast buffet of cereals and wheatladen pastries, no hot breakfast offered at all. Hot meals that I could not eat were nothing special either - nothing chef made - just unbag from freezer and dump in buffet warmers - breaded chicken strips, chilimac, penne and sauce, lasagne, alfredo pasta. Escaped to mall - True Food and PJ Changs had gluten free variety of selections but had to pay out of pocket - even onsite restaurant charged extra to substitute as I saw no gluten friendly options labeled.
Clean with good A/C, Good amenities and good marking of room locations for a complex of spread out buildings. Hotel Circle location is confusing anf hard to exit and enter off the 8 freeway. Long lines of traffic to go anywhere, just to get on the freeway.
I liked the room. It was large, comfortable, and clean. The beds were made and towels changed daily. The grounds take a bit of map-reading to figure out, but were clean and picturesque. The location is not the most convenient, but the nearby Trolley stop brought me easily to Old Town. The food was OK, nothing special. The Internet was always available, but was not the quickest. That could be a problem, as it was at the Computer Science Teachers conference I attended!
The facilities them selves needs an update. Its like they are stuck in the 1980s. My room was clean but definitley needed an update. And a fridge in the room would have been nice. There wasn't an elevator in the section I stayed in so thankfully I was only on the second floor. A bit difficult to maneuver my suit case, but I managed.
Nothing $19 for parking per day and an extra $15 for resort fee. Ridiculous. The shower/bath tub was clogged when I was using it. The fan raddled like crazy. Furniture very worn out. The entire place seemed run-down. I paid over $200 per, what a rip off for a place like this.
The renovated rooms were somewhat nice. The air conditioner made an awful knocking sound, you could hear EVERY little thing outside, the construction was a huge mess, very cheaply put together. The sheets smelled like mildew. A couple of the white pillow cases had, what appeared to be, blood on them.
Bellman were the best! Helped me with luggage & getting around expansive grounds via electric carts. Very nice gift shop. At times front desk & concierge desk were so overwhelmed/understaffed, it just wasn't worth the wait in line for service. Because of these lines/wait times, some seating is necessary on that side of lobby, or a number system for those who can't stand to wait in line.
Large facility. BBQ bar had very good BBQ food although a little limited on food choices. Rooms definitely dated. Air conditioning did not work after first day. Bed was on the floor, not on any type of riser. Musty. Limited food choices for such a large place. Staff was very friendly though.
The maids and ground staff were very friendly and accommodating! oVer and hour just to check in .. Rooms are severely outdated .. Parking was $19 a day and there was never any spot available .. People were double parked and I had to circle for almost 45 minutes every night. The wifi never worked and was $15 a day ..
Great staff. Clean and the location couldn't be better.
This trip was one of our best experiences ever, and Pacific Terrace was central to that. Extremely friendly staff, yummy breakfast, beautiful room...this hotel had it all. I can see now why it is so highly rated. It has all the amenities you could ask for without the pretension or pricing of a resort. They only serve breakfast and have some offerings for room service, but trust me we didn't miss having a full restaurant. There is so much right outside the door if the hotel! We'll be back! Can't think of a thing!
The hotel is located in a great position right on the ocean and the staff was great. I didn't research the parking costs before checking in. We were charged $20 + a day. I'm not sure how that compares to other hotels.
Right on the beach, Great service.
Great hotel. Perfect location. Staff was very friendly and interacted with everyone. That alone would make me stay here again. The views are amazing. Great place to just get away and relax.
SO convenient, great location, beautiful beach and the most friendly helpful staff I've been around. we would recommend it without a doubt.
This place was right off the beach. The area was well kept and there are plenty of food places within walking distance. The resort package fee included all of the little things tourist would like to do. From buggie boarding to bike rides, this hotel had it all! The staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. Our room had a double bed instead of a king. We slept in both lol
Awesome staff to help with day planning and restaurants
This hotel is a real gem, right on the beach. The hotel exceeded my expectations in all categories. Found my new place at Pacific Beach.
Everything was great! Staff was super nice and location was perfect. I will be staying here again.
The location and the staff. The bar and restaurant were amazing!
Excellent service; great room; wonderful view No coffeemaker in room
Everything! What an incredible hotel!!! With the exception of one hotel staff member who really shouldn't be part of the "team", everyone was amazing!!! Thanks for an incredible holiday Tower 23 Staff. No workout facility.
Really nice and clean. Great location to the beach, bars and food. Expensive for a hotel with no fitness center and no breakfast included with the stay.
Classy hotel. Very comfortable bed, and great location on the beacch. does not have a pool or a hot tub
excellent staff, very, very helpful throughout our stay. Very nice room
Great location, good bar/restaurant, excellent sundeck, overlooking the ocean, free wi-fi
The hotel was nice, but I'm really glad we didn't pay the full price for the room. It almost seemed like it was brand new and they hadn't figured out how to run it yet. Room service seemed to be just one guy and I had to talk to 4 different people to get a room service wine list. There was also some confusion when we checked in about what kind of room we booked. The rooms also seemed to be showing their age a bit. The furniture was scratched and looking worn. Also, the sliding door for the bathroom wasn't as big as the opening. So you couldn't have complete privacy. There was always an inch of space exposed on one side or the other.
View No ice buckets in room. Should be standard. Not enough drawer spaces for clothing. Closet small. Would recomend hotel but would warn about these areas.
the comfortable beds
It was close to the beach...but also close to clubs...the bedding was very nice, and the rooms large. The bar off the lobby was really loud - made it difficult during check in. While that bar noise didn't follow me to my room - the club right next store thumped away until 2 a.m. I did not stay the 2d night.
