Pros: Lovely villa set in peaceful surroundings but easily accessible to town. The pool was great and the breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: You can walk into town quite easily down the hill but coming back up can be a bit tiring and sweaty. But there is a local taxi driver who can pick you up for €15
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was the most beautiful Tuscan setting we could have hoped to find and we couldn’t have imagined a more romantic place to spend part of our honeymoon. It was simply stunning. We felt completely spoilt throughout our stay thanks to the lovely staff. Michele in particular was wonderful. Needless to say we did not want to leave and can’t wait to visit again in the future. It will always have a very special place in our hearts.
Cons: We loved everything.

Pros: Stella and Ettore make you feel at home, in the most comfortable and cozy way. The property and service are 5 stars, the dinner outstanding (one of the best meals we had in Italy) and the views breathtaking. Would recommend to anyone!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience was incredible. Great people, food and the villa and surrounding area was absolutely beautiful. Stella and Ettore went the extra effort to make us feel welcome and enjoy the Tuscan wine country. We loved the hiking routes, wine and olive oil tasting and pasta making class!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had the MOST amazing stay with Stella and Ettore. I was very fortunate to spend 3 nights at Villa di Capovento and it was a perfect experience. The facilities, room and pool are amazing. The whole property is so peaceful, relaxing and stunning. Everywhere you turn it is beautiful and makes you feel at home. Stella & Ettore were such wonderful hosts, extremely helpful and looked after anything you needed. The food was delicious and all locally sourced and home cooked. The 5 wine local tasting was a great experience and I also walked to some local vineyards while I was there. I wouldn't change a single thing and was extremely sad to leave! I will be back soon.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Couldn't rate this place highly enough. Food, views, staff and area are all amazing. A slice of heaven.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Heaven on Earth just amazing❤️ We will go back again and again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Villa di Capovento is a gem nestled into the surrounding forests and olive groves. Ettore and Stella are gracious, warm and welcoming hosts. The food was delicious - main meals cooked by Ettore and deserts by Stella - winning combination! We can highly recommend a walk in the surrounding area with Ettore - choose one of the longer walks - the walk and lunch afterwards was the highlight of our time spent in Italy. We spent 4 nights and wished we had stayed longer. It was our first visit to the Chianti countryside and will definitely not be our last.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything about the place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is one of the most amazing places we've ever been to. Stela and Etoro, the hosts, are super nice, they prepared great food and the Villa's decoration is so thoughtful of details. This villa is amazing even before mentioning the location, but when you add the views and the garden & pool - you get a 10/10 place. The view of the surrounding hills is breathtaking. Can't wait to come back for a longer stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stella and Ettore made us feel at home from beginning to the end. Their grounded knowledge of the surrounding landscape, food and wine was amazing and was an extra trait of the stay. The building and outside areas where true to the Tuscan spirit and genuine bliss. We enjoyed the peace and quiet by the pool overlooking the wineyards and olive groves. Castellina City is a small drive away but the food at Villa Capovento made by Ettore was so tasty that all meals might as well could be enjoyed at their restaurant. Make sure to try the winetasting, where Stella will take you through the tasty local wines and give you insights on the art of wineproducrion. We also especially liked the free morning hike with Ettore, guiding us through the lands that’s been in his family for generations - an excellent way to digest the homemade breakfast, with both warm and cold options. A place truly worth visiting if you look for tranquility and genuine Italian hospitality.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: All is amazing as usual, we came twice in 4 years, still as great as our first visit Nevertheless there is a change in ownership, let’s see if the place keep its heart and the initial vision, standard and quality....but there is one thing for sure, it will loose its soul when the current owner will leave.

Cons: - Requested to take out the trash ourselves - Not enough pool towels - Daily cleaning extra paid - Minimum WiFi coverage at the pool - Have to call a phone number on arrival, that's a problem if you have no international calling balance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved staying here. The host Giusy was delighted to greet us, provided a lot of useful information for Greve in Chianti and surrounding area, and always engaging during breakfast albeit while being busy serving! The views over the vineyard and across Greve in Chianti were beautiful and calming - and we could take a lovely back road from the farm to be in the central part of town within 10-15 mins walking. The associated restaurant in town had a refined yet inviting atmosphere and the food was delicious! Multiple vineyards to organise wine tasting within close proximity by car - book ahead for these. We went to Fattoria Viticcio - it is important to book ahead. Breakfast was amazing! Authentic Italian spread, with much variety including fresh fruit, great coffee, juices and homemade jams and cake. We appreciated the ample outside seating areas and a charming lounge inside with a nice collection of complimentary aperitifs available... great to relax in after a day or evening out. There is also a spa for extra charge.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautifully maintained and exquisitely decorated. It is much more beautiful in person than the pictures. Terre di Baccio is tranquil yet rejuvenating. The view is heavenly! Our apartment had a fabulous Italian Tuscan kitchen to cook in! I would definitely go back.
Cons: Everything was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. If I had to pick one thing I would change, it would be to be able to check in earlier so that I could spend more time there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the room, the view, the ambiance and the pool. The hosts were very nice and accommodating and drove us to the bus stop when we checked out.
Cons: Check in is at 4pm which is very late. We arrived at 12.30pm by bus thinking we could leave our bags at the site before checking in later. We were told we couldn’t do so, so we had to carry our luggage with us for 3.5 hours in 38 degree weather to the town which is a few kms away. It was very frustrating as we did not think leaving our bags in reception or somewhere out of the way would have been that imposing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff are extremely nice (especially Guisy). The property is lovely and the views are spectacular.
Cons: The only negative thing I would say is that pace is not serviced full time eg you can only check in after 3 etc as there is no one there, and we were staying during a European heatwave and there is air conditioning in the room!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location just on the edge of town. Walking distance to some lovely restaurants. Beautiful old building with lots of character! Our host was fantastic- Guisey was super helpful!

Cons: Nothing! We liked every thing

What a wonderful experience to stay in a centuries old villa. Gaeda and her brother Gregorio are wonderful! We most appreciated the friendly and attentive staff. Giada and her family worked hard to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable!
Cons: The Villa is not air conditioned which wasn't really an issue because it cooled down at night with the windows open. But, during the day all windows and curtains were drawn to keep the Villa cool, so it felt a bit dark.

Pros: The hosts of Villa Fillinelle, Rosanna and Giuseppe, went above and beyond to make my husband and I welcome in their villa. We stayed for 6 nights and made day trips to Florence, the Chianti area wineries and more. Pros: Lovely 15th century Palazzo with great breakfast. Many unanticipated extras at this price point. Easy location for traveling around environs, in quaint small town. Host was welcoming and attentive to all our needs.
Cons: Town was sleepy in November. Not a huge negative, but to TV
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room in the Palazzo was delightful and elegant, with a superb view over the surrounding countryside. The hospitality shown to us by Maria and her staff and family was very warm and friendly. Breakfasts were outstanding, especially Maria's home-made cakes – her recipes are on the Palazzo's website. Staying here at Palazzo Malaspina gave us a holiday to remember – it is a place to revisit time and time again, as some of the other guests had already discovered!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The omlets were awesome. The extra glutine free desserts were most appreciated.
Cons: Everything was great.

Pros: We like Le Cetinelle very much, we were there already 14 years ago during our honeymoon. Now we returned back as a family with our kids - they also fell in love with this wonderful place in the middle of Tuscany. It has such a special relaxing atmosphere that words can’t describe. Simonetta is a very kind host, the food is more than great. We also liked the refreshing pool with the wonderful view to the garden and the Tuscan hills. All in all this place is one of the best places we have ever visited and we will come back for sure also for the third time!
Cons: The only thing that was missing in July in 35-40 Celsius is an air condition in the rooms, as we learned from Simonetta from next year it will be available.

Pros: Beautiful home next to a winery.
Cons: Very difficult to find. No signs into the property. Staff is a bit arrogant and doesn’t practice great hospitality. We were told that they didn’t clean your room if you are only staying a couple of nights. Didn’t help us with our bags. Didn’t care that we couldn’t find the place. I would not go back here.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location of the property, waking up in a vineyard and just generally in a beautiful part of Tuscany. Our room was gorgeous and had great character, giving us a Tuscan experience. Breakfast was lovely.
6.8 Good
Pros: The breakfast was great. A lot of divers things but still typical Italian with homemade marmalade. The region is nice. You can walk to at least to wine tastings, where you need to tell in advance that you want to come.
Cons: Check In was really bad. We were left alone with our question if we could visit a wine tasting in the sourroundigs. Also the restaurant is closed and you need to tell them in advance if you want to have dinner there. Especially when we arrived this was not cool. Fridge in the room is quite loud.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good, a wonderful selection of good quality products.

Pros: Breakfast was lovely and the hosts were very welcoming and warm!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was buffet style, which suite us very well. The location suited our needs as it was it was convenient loca tion for Siena, Florence and San Gimignono. It was also a short drive to Castellina in Chianti were there were severel good restaurants. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderfully quiet boutique locanda...only 5 guest rooms. La Casina di Lilliano is about 3km from Castellina, just off a rural paved road and 250m of gravel (important as we were bike riding). We swung open the shutters in the morning to the sight of vineyards right in front of the building. A well maintained outdoor area with several levels, including a beautiful pool. So nice we stayed a second night on a whim. Grazie mille!

Pros: This is a fantastic location with a brilliant views over the hills of Tuscanny, with a clean hot-tub, really nice garden, and lots of space! The hosts were brilliant and wonderful to interact with, they have two very friendly little dogs that were great. We brought our dog and it was paradise for him! A short drive to the main local town of Greve :)
Cons: It was all great! A little tricky to drive up to on the first time; but this is Tuscany, so I think any place with a view would have the same small roads. Nothing dangerous though, but would advise arriving during daylight .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property was secluded but lovely and the hosts made the stay very special for our family.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: It was fantastic experience! Everything was perfect, even bad weather. We are so touched about Laura and Armondo's kindness, and Laura's cook. It was amazing! If someone visit there, should have her dishes. We really hope to see them again. Already miss them, and their pretty pets. Take care, Laura and Armondo! That moment we spent in your home was very big part of our journey. :)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Canto dei Merli is the perfect B&B for you who want to experience the magical countryside of Tuscany. The venue is awesome on top of a hill with an amazing view over the vineyards. Laura and Armando made us feel like we were at home and from the moment we arrived they felt like our friends. They helped us out even before we arrived, and provided very valuable recommendations for how to experience the best of Chianti. We opted for electric bicycle renting which came with a great adventure and a lot of fun moments. Don't miss out of eating Laura and Armando's breaktfast and dinner. It was the best food we ate on our stay in Tuscany, with homemade food which largely was grown in their garden and in surrounding areas. Thanks again Laura and Armando – we will definitely come back to this pearl of Tuscany!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice people, great views, cordial atmosphere, tasty breakfasts and interesting conversations. We are very happy with the stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The stay was so pleasant. Laura and Armando went above and beyond to make you relax and feel at home. The little details they’ve paid attention to: comfortable mattress with a heating pad!, nighttime tisanes and water in the bedroom, chocolates, books on the history of the region, tv...there was plenty to do to make you want to just stay there and relax. The place itself is gorgeous. Up on a hill, from outside you have magnificent views of the hillsides of the territory. At the same time, being somewhat removed from a town and up above in a hill, the quiet was spectacular. It was just a pleasant and fantastic stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great opportunity to experience real Tuscany and stay at an incredible family home. Laura and Armando are extremely friendly and hospitable.
Cons: Nothing. This place is amazing!

Pros: The hosts Laura and Armando were fabulous. The dinner was absolutely delicious - home-cooked Italian fare. Laura and Armando went the extra mile to ensure our stay was comfortable and we were happy. It snowed quite heavily the day we arrived. The following morning they accompanied us (led the way) to Greve to ensure we made it safely. The views were maginficent. Would highly recommend this property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My family and I spent wonderful time during the stay. Laura and Armando are so nice and kind with big generosity. The house is very clean, neat, beautiful, and comfortable. We ordered breakfast and dinner, both were absolutely delicious with huge portion. I highly recommend Laura and Armando’s house and would like to come back soon!

Pros: Fantastic place! So nice decorated, nice rooms, clean, only little thing is bed is not so good and would recommend duvet instead of blanket. But the rest was really good. the breakfast is above expectations, too much to choose from and such a pretty breakfast room. Casale is only few minutes from centre of Greve in Chianti. Host was very nice, very good price/quality.
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice location. Great breakfast.
Cons: The hotel was difficult to find with GPS. Consequently, there was no one to welcome me or show me around when I arrived at about 6pm. I had virtually no connection with staff, which made it less than desirable. I always enjoy getting tips from local residents.

Pros: Paolo and Vale are two of the best hosts we have come across!
6.8 Good
Pros: The location of the property is set in an ideal location and this was the 2nd time we have stayed, but unfortunately will not stay here again.
Cons: The property has no AC and the heat surpassed 40 degrees outside and inside the rooms surpassed more than outside temperature. We expressed this to the owner and we even said we were happy to pay for the 2nd night - we were booked in for two nights but could only stay one night due to the blistering heat. However, to my dismay she offered no discount and was very happy for us to pay. The rooms are quaint but are far too cluttered. We will not be returning to this location again as the owner seemed to have little regard for returning customers. It was disappointing as our first trip there had such fond memories.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent a night in this adorable property upon our arrival in Tuscany. The hostess, Valéria, took care of our last minute booking with a warm welcome and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The property is beautifully decorated with lovely vintage items, keeping the character and making it uniquely interesting. She is thoughtful and spares no efforts to make you feel at home, either by lighting the fireplace, booking a restaurant or a wine tasting. Although there are many options of apartments, suitable for different needs, we have chosen a large, cozy and vintage bedroom with private bathroom and fireplace. The apartment is impeccably clean, the breakfast is well-prepared and thought in all the details. We look forward to come back and to bring our families with us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the history of the town and this unique bed and breakfast. The owners were extremely friendly and courteous! They were the charm of the place. We enjoyed our conversations. They are the sweetest couple and take time to spend with you. They called ahead and booked our wine tour with Castillo Verazzano which was absolutely the best tour in Italy! The morning breakfast on the terrace was fantastic and our room was spotless and nicely decorated with shutter doors that opened onto the back courtyard.

Pros: I loved that it was conveniently located not in town, but at the edge of town. It is the best of both worlds, and a very short walk to Main Street in town. The rooms are very nice and clean, and each room has a flower theme. The view from our window was stunning. We had an excellent view of Tuscany and San Gimignano in the distance. Even though it is a B&B, the home must be very well built, as we never heard anyone else. We did have reserved parking right in front. This is a perfect place to use as home base in Chianti. There is also an outside patio that overlooks Tuscany and San Gimignano. Will be coming back to this B&B.
Cons: Our room had twin beds, and one of them squeaked.

Pros: Beautiful, spacious, clean rooms, with great views out to the Tuscan landscape and other hill towns. Great location as a base for exploring Tuscany and for being in a charming small Tuscan town with history, restaurants and shops. Very good breakfast buffet and fresh cappuccinos. This B&B is owned and run by a local family in the hospitality business for many generations. Serena was immensely cheerful, friendly, and helpful with recommendations and arranging transportation. After 5 days there, we were beginning to feel like part of the family, which we enjoyed very much. And to top it off it was a great value. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Tuscany— you will not regret it!

Pros: This was the most adorable bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in. The decor was interesting and comforting, and the property was extremely clean. The view from the terrace was beautiful, and we enjoyed sitting and having our new bottle of wine while overlooking the town. My favorite part was the breakfast, prepared by the B&B’s owner. Though his English was quite limited, he wasn’t shy to use his phone to help us understand what he had prepared. It was delicious!
Cons: I wish we had been able to stay longer than 1 night!

Cons: The internet very poor, spa is not complementary you have to pay is you want to use, there is no enough living space inside the hotel, if the weather is not good you dont have anything, there is no heater at the outside and there is no blanket either.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff, the facilities, the grounds, the gardens, and the scenery are exceptional. Everyone knows your name and preferences upon arrival and remembers it the duration of stay. Breakfast is incredible, and provides beautiful panoramas on the terrace. The hotel is very kind to children with kids slippers, robes, and other amenities. Any request you may have is made possible by a very gracious staff.
Cons: The only thing not to like is the cost. On a stand alone basis, the cost is very high for all things. However, it is a breathtaking facility and the value of the expense is seen in perfect maintenance and attention to detail.
7.5 Good
Cons: Hotel no smoker friendly exept very few rooms. no balconies. description of suite not accurate
6.8 Good
Pros: Beautiful hotel, stunning castle and scenery
Cons: Everything was extremely overpriced. I guess that’s what you get for an expensive hotel but you aren’t near a town so you are forced to spend a ton within the property, even water was extremely expensive. Would not stay here again - better off staying in florence as most tours start there anyway even if the tour takes you out to the country side. Instead we had to arrange for private car service to the tour meeting point since we were so secluded. Complimentary shuttle is a nice perk but only goes once a day so you are stranded until 6pm!
