Clean, comfortable, near Market St, the Moscone Center, Union Sq., great price compared to nearby hotels
Lots of street noise
Good location for what we needed, very close to Bart stations and places we wanted to go. Very affordable for the city, worth the money. Staff was nice, we had a great time.
Beds were not super comfortable, but really that was the only issue.
Will return again
The location was ideal. It was nice to be so close to the shops and the mall. The staff was excellent and very accommodating, professional and friendly. Will definitely return for a future stay.
During our stay, our shower and bathroom sink lost the handle. It was an inconvenience, since the weekend was busy. But otherwise it was a great stay.
Hotel Overbooked, Sent Me Down the Street
They sent me to Hotel Metropolis, down the street. It was nice.
That they overbooked themselves.
No more good breakfasts...
The location of the hotel is great and the rooms are comfortable. The WiFi works well and there is a small desk in the room, which helps.
I used to like the breakfasts there (with toast, eggs, etc.), but they no longer have that. That part of the hotel is now closed off and will soon be open as a separate restaurant/diner.
what a loud and obnoxious neighborhood
The desk staff was helpful, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. The complimentary glass of wine at check in was a good touch.
The area that the hotel is located in is the home of the worst collection of LOUD, ANGRY, AGRESSIVE-PANHANDLING, CRACK ADDICTS that the city of San Francisco has to offer. The entire night there was a barrage of shouting, screaming, shreiking, fighting and all manner of rabble seemingly magnified by the echo created by the tall buildings that are all around. A double insulated vaccuum sealed window would have solved the issue. As it was woken up @ 3am by a screaming woman who was appearantly asking for the money someone had taken from her. I dont know if she ever got her money back but, if i knew then what I do now I would have asked for a non-street facing room.
Great place, great location.
Location, cleanliness and service.
Location is tricky because, is super close to the best places in SF, but also to some ugly places.
my stay i the TL
the room was clean and i was on the 6th floor so noise wasnt an issue
room heater was broken and all i got was some extra blankets as they had no spare space heater or anything.
koolest front desk staff around.....
Nanette and Lateef were awesome.....definitely staying there again....6th rooms are really Kool....thanx everybody.....really an enjoyable stay....close to Powell BART station......close to everything....see you all next time...
The fact I couldn't stay any longer.
Price of parking Close to Tenderloin
convenience to conference site
one of the rather morose receptionists at the desk
Location was very convenient to BART and Union Square. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were small and minimally furnished but functional and clean.
I didn't find noise to be a big problem, but there were occasional loud sirens and loud bar patrons downstairs. As long as you're not trying to sleep before 10/11pm or after 9/10am, you should be fine. This is not a fancy place, but quite adequate for a couple nights in the heart of the city on a budget.
The staff was very knowledgeable of the surrounding area and gave some great tips of places to grab a bite or sit and chill. They were very helpful in meeting our needs.
The hotel is on the very edge of a neighbourhood with questionable safety, it's not really ideal for someone wanting to come home late at night while using the bart because the quick walk from the station takes you through some questionable streets.
The location is great and the staff is very friendly. The price is very good too.
It 's quite noisy at night. However, the hotel offers earplugs and with earplugs it 's not such a big issue.
Great friendly staff, clean rooms, great location--able to walk everywhere. I enjoyed a few of the movies in their 8-seat cinema.
Very small rooms (but we spent most of our time out of the hotel), lots of late-night city noise (but they did provide ear plugs)
The reservation clerk was exceptionally helpful & accomodating during check in. The room provided was excellent value.
Very nice. Close to public transportation and shopping.
The room was well kept and I was on the Eddy side but on the 4th floor as long as the window is shut it was quiet. Free wireless and the morning paper were a pleasant suprise.
I don't feel the area it's SAFE!!!!
Excellent location, cosy rooms and great staff! Of course, some might complain that it is noisy, but then again... this is the charm of the city - I enjoyed my stay there fully!
