Room always smelled like smoke
The hotel is convenient to Union Square and public transportation. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The price was decent compared to other hotels in the area.
The room was very small and the in-window air conditioner was very loud. This hotel isn't for people looking for great amenities. If space isn't a concern, and money is, this is an adequate option for the Union Square area.
After a day of run arounds, my trip was delayed about 7 hours, I was supposed to check-in at 3pm. I called the hotel to let them know I was going to be late so that they could hold my room. The 2 times I called to push back my check-in time the staff at the hotel made me feel like it was not hassle. Every time they changed my check-in they said drive safe and they would be waiting for my arrival. The staff definitely made me feel welcome when I finally got in and check in was in less than a minute. I walked up to the front desk to let them know I'm here to check-in and they asked for my name. The staff said we were waiting for you here's your key and I needed to sign after they swiped my card.

Great location near Union Square. Price was attractive. I would stay there again if I needed to save money, but I don't so I won't. Next time I will move to a higher price category.
The lobby is very small and has minimal staff (e.g., no bell hop even though there is a bell hop desk). There was constant fan noise in the room from outside an interior window. The breakfast is not worth considering. It took 75 minutes to get our car through the valet.
Room was tiny, worn and just old. The picture in the preview were certainly not representative the actual lobby and rooms.

Rooms are very small and doors are ill-fitting. That means you get to hear what is happening in the hallways all night long. Every conversation, every slammed door, everything. If that's not enough for you, there are noisy air conditioning units in the lightwell just outside the window. The acoustics are not favorable for sleep at this hotel, but that's OK, because the beds are tiny and the pillows are lumpy, so you probably wouldn't sleep much anyways.
Not able to respond on this
This is frustrating experience because I was not expecting such a hassle regarding the booking of my hotel. Went to check in as expected to the hotel but was informed that there was no reservation under my name despite showing them your company's confirmation. Sadly, the hotel has no room available so my only recourse is to go back home and take the last flight. Fortunately, I was able to changed my flight reservation but I have to rushed to the airport and catch the flight. This is disgusting to say the least!
The hotel was spotlessly clean
No airconditioning and the weather was very hot - we had a room that faced an inner courtyard so there was not breeze even when the window was fully open - it was far too hot and uncomfortable.
Location was great. Staff were very friendly.
My room was in the front of the hotel so there was lots of noise early in the mornings. Best to request a room at the back of the hotel. Also, the walls are paper thin so that you can hear people's conversation in adjoining rooms.

Double room so small bed could only be accessed from one side. No chair, little storage or floor space. Noisy area. Self service breakfast was in very small room - difficult to help oneself to food and nowhere but bedroom to eat it.

The staff were very friendly and warm.....the daily cleaning of the room was excellent...location was spot on...we will definitely be back there same time next year :)
