Very handy to many S.F. activities & good restaurants yet away from the busiest/noisiest part of Lombard St. No previous reviews mentioned this but next door is a daycare center so if you don't mind the 'screaming kids' from 8:30am to 12 noon & 3 to 5pm (Mon to Fri), then ok. It only bothered us in the mornings & one afternoon we were back early. Request rooms away from this Day Care if such things bother you.
excellent service by Raymond, Great location and free parking! next to kindergarten can be noisy in the morning.
I love the location and pets are ok. There is a dog park right accross the street, so very good with pets. Staff was most helpful and friendly. It has recently been remodeled so it is nicer than the last time I stayed there. Rooms are a little small.
Friendly and helpful staff. A little problem with the heavy bags and no lift - but lots of willing help!
the staff was very friendly the room was dark due to an overhanging balcony and an awning. No natural light made it into the room
The knowledge of the staff was second to none, and free internet was usefull. Hotel is a little tired, bfast was a little disapointing.
Great location, near Fishersmans Wharf - Golden Gate, Alcatraz, Pier 39.
Motel was well equiped inc in room safe, continental breakfast,in room coffee, plus, english style pub around the corner "liverpool lils" get in early for car park space, otherwise on main rd
Good location near Golden Gate Bridge and Presidio Park. The room was damp and cold. Even new towels ended up getting wet. The shower pours too little hot water. Breakfast is terrible and the area is called "Hospitality Room" where there are just 3 tables. The problem is that guests occupy for reading newspaper and you don´t have tables availables to eat. There's no parking lot for many cars.
proximity to restaurants ants in the bathroom and main room
I like the location. Close to many shops and restaurants The building is pretty old and the downpour from the rain that day was all over the stairs.
Nothing at all. Receptionist lied and said we would be charged even if we cancel the room, ended up staying at the marina motel across the street, way better room with kitchen and couch + room for cheaper than what la luna was asking for.
The room was clean and spacious, and both my friend and I had parking spaces close to the room. The room didn't have microwave--I heated a carafe of water in the coffee maker to make a bowl of instant oatmeal in the morning. The clerk at the front desk was pleasant, but seemed perturbed when I asked for a second parking pass. He knew that my friend and I were arriving separately, but was surprised that we both had cars.
Very clean and the staff was very friendly. The location is good and they have free parking. The hotel is right on a busy street so you get street noise but just turn on the air unit and it's enough white noise to take car of it. The room is small but has all you need.
Nice location. Relatively cozy. Their breakfast was more of a snack, but hey, it was free. The walls/ceilings are way too thin. It sounded like we had a heard of rhinoceroses above us. Luckily there were no bed bugs, but it seems at one time there was because of old bed bug stains on the sheets.
Works great when you are visiting the marina or the palace of fine arts. Great location for lots of SF activities. It is on Lombard street so it is a bit noisy but not bad for the price Noisy, needs renovating.
Advertise King bed, but was only a queen. Continental breakfast was horrible, why even bother. Otherwise it felt like a budget hotel even when we were "upgraded" to a deluxe room. Maybe places in the city just aren't great value, although I've stayed at a nicer place for a better price in the Tender Loin, even though that area is one I'd never spend time in again.
Great price the bed was comfortable. The shower.
Location is ok Expensive for what you get Shower is disgusting Room is ok- but not with the price
Location, attention, just what you need to pass the night, nothing extraordinary but value for money, not expensive but with tons of shops and good restaurants one block away in Chesnut street.
The hotel and the neighborhood was far from SF downtown (30-40 min by bus), but for the same reason, very quiet. The hotel is very close to the Golden Gate Bridge (5 min by bus). The room was small but clean, and had all basic things I needed. It took a long time to get to the hotel by bus (30-40 min + waiting time), and the neighborhood didn't look very safe at night.
Location, Hotel Staff Breakfast, Price
Location Rooms very small and out dated
It was there. Embarrassingly thin walls between bed headboards with squeaking furniture. Hot water valve in shower only gave lukewarm, while sink was scalding. Minimal bedding. Wait, this is supposed to be a hotel...
convenient location very low quality facilities. shower not working in my room low standard clean mattress is so soft, it should be changed.
Hotel is walking distance to some good restaurants. Neighborhood felt safe. Free parking onsite. Close to the Golden Gate but not close enough to walk. Room was not very clean (dusty, mold in the refrigerator and in shower). Window did not lock. Sheets were stained. There was an open electrical box which is not safe. Not enough electrical outlets for coffee maker, hair dryer, and refrigerator.
New flooring, great customer service, location, and parking.
Hash was very friendly and I would recommend this motel to any friend who's staying in the area.
LOCATION was great close to almost all major city attractions. CLEAN! Was pleasantly surprised--very clean. Mattress bagged for protection. Entire room cleanm and equipped well with frig, etc. Bed was COMFORTABLE which is personal preference of course. Im using this to continue the things I Did like. To get this fantastic location and a clean room in San Fran for the low fee was a miracle! Its right on the street though so morning noise was quite high, and the towels were rough and scratchy.
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION AND THE STAFF WORKED WITH ME TO GET MY 20 YEAR OLD SON IN.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, and worth the price paid. I have stayed here 5 times, all on separate occasions. I will stay here again. I'm not a fan of the new laminate flooring but I guess that makes it cleaner than carpet, right?

Location and friendly staff... Free parking! It was a little noisy at night but hardly a big deal
Clean room Friendly staff Thank you 0
The hotel is rather small, situated near beatiful parks and at walking distance of Golden Gate bridge view The breakfast in the hotel is quite symbolical but the hotel is not expensive and it's no surprise
Its location on a quiet street in a quiet residential neighbourhood close to the big Presidio parkland, but easily accessible to the city by bus or bike.
popcorn maker in the lobby Lukewarm water in the shower. Our security cards kept losing the information. We had to get them re-programmed 3 times.
The guy who answered the phone/works the front desk is really nice. I called several times because I'm the type to over worry and he was really friendly- didn't get annoyed at all. The room was overall really clean, decent, and overall everything was pleasant. Bless the tv though they had good channels unlike other hotels. I booked this hotel because of the cheap price and expected less but I actually really enjoyed it. Not bad at all.
Great value; quiet and very clean Not enough parking spots to accommodate all guests
quiet, nice rooms - we could not use the bath, - too less parking space
Spacious room, good location, quiet area at night. Not enough parking, had to park on the street.
Location It is a Motel. It is on the street (it is very noisy!)
Hotel staff were very nice. In addition, the hotel was only a block away from the 30 bus stop, which takes you through fisherman's wharf, china town, union square, etc.
Free Wifi Wifi broke on 1st night of stay
