Palm Beach Resort is a family resort located adjacent to a marine sanctuary in Barrio Hugom, San Juan, Batangas, running along the same coastline of the now popular LAIYA. The Resort is designed as a private retreat for those who prefer the tranquility and peace of a place within a well-preserved natural setting as an alternative to other overdeveloped destinations. Visitors will enjoy beach activities that range from a wonderful snorkeling experience or exploring the coral reef with a short swim from the shore or on board a kayak or a boat. Parents will enjoy watching their children building sand-castles and experiencing the rush of waves on their feet for the first time. Others may simply choose to serenely lounge on a Bale (roofed bed) and be mesmerized by the view and the sound of the waves.
Here, the only traffic is the multitude of fish navigating their way around corals and the only rush hour is the early morning rush to get to the water. The only noise and clatter are the lapping waves, rustling leaves, and the occasional call of the local fishermen. Other than these, everything else that surrounds you seem to slow down the pace of time, quiet the senses, and bring to light the created wonders that can be found in this tropical seaside paradise.
Pros: Pets were allowed on the beach. We enjoyed the bonfire by the beach area while lounging in the sunbed with my fur boys. The hotel staff were very accommodating with special needs and requests. The hotel room was cozy and had all the amenities we needed.
Cons: Food selection, quality and quantity could be better. Buffet style food and drinks should be replenished automatically.
Pros: Beautiful hotel with amazing pool and view of the ocean. Nice staff!
Cons: Meals were so-so; same buffet for breakfast and dinner. Location great; but, go outside the same security area and you will be hit by folks trying to sell you stuff. Long drive from Manila to this place!
