Even providing an unexpected surprise of a 3 hour tour of the surrounding villages that was of no charge to us but was well worth the tip we gave in appreciation. Glad to have stayed there.

Cons: The room is small but adequate
Pros: Everything was perfect, no complaints
Pros: . They were prompt to answer the front door when door bell was rung. Whole apartment was very clean. they helped me book a bus to take me back to Guatemala city. Gave me instructions on how to walk to the bus stop to get to Semuc Champey
Cons: maybe some more variety for dinner. had beans, egg two nights in a row.
Cons: Gun fire out front of the hotel at 1030pm
Pros: The people at Hotel Bethel were incredibly kind and accommodating. I really felt that they generally wanted to take care of my needs. They were very attentive and just kind. The room was very clean and comfortable with a private bathroom and quite inexpensive for that. There was also a rooftop that was nice to have and go up in the more and feel the breeze in the city of Copan. I felt really comfortable here and just so appreciative of the kindness of the family that runs it.
Pros: Location of hotel, cleanness ,
Cons: Room too small; no reading lamp, one bed was crooked, very uncomfortable, breakfast was not tasty, coffee was just terrible
Pros: Very clean
Cons: There is a (I think) a pomp that pumps water every time someone uses water in the building that makes a lots of noice. And I mean a lot this is not acceptable. Breakfast is nothing special.. Cheap.

Pros: Great staff! Beds were comfortable. Hot water (just needs to warm up for a time) nice restaurant. Parking a rented car was easy across the street. My wife, myself and our two year old felt completely safe in the hotel and city.
Cons: Some overnight noise.
Pros: Nice restaurant, clean and friendly personnel!
Cons: Somehow loud as between two roads, while we were there the garden was being renovated, workers were there all day!

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, dry cleaning/laundry services, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. The beds are amazingly comfortable. The owner let my boys take a bath in the bathtub despite that it was not in our room, which was magic for them after 8 months on the road with no bathtub! The hotel is on a quiet street so my kids could play outside. The staff were very helpful and Jose even drove us to our next destination for a reasonable fee.
Cons: The room rate was a bit expensive for the amenities. The breakfast was not “complete” - it was “continental” which meant a cup of instant coffee, toast, and an egg. For the room rate I would have liked to have had “desayunos completos” for all members of our party included in room fee, eg milk, juice, fruit, egg, yogurt, beans, eggs, etc. And yummy coffee from the region. If that had been included it would totally be worth the money and 10/10!
Pros: Breakfast was served at the time I wanted and the eggs and tortillas were delicious.
Cons: More selection or options
Pros: The room
Cons: That they said free breakfast and they only offer piece of bread and a cold cereal for free breakfast, they don't said that on the deal.

Pros: Staff were incredibly helpful in booking our day trip to Semuc Champey the following morning and helping us with a shuttle price to Guatemala City the day after. Breakfast was the best we had in Guatemala. Rooms were extremely clean.
Cons: The property is a little bit of a walk from the centre of town.
Pros: Good shower, clean, great price, very nice hosts.
Cons: It was freezing cold in the room in January, I was walking around in a jacket. There were extra blankets though, so no trouble with sleeping. Internet only in common areas, card reader did not work, had to go out for cash. The area seemed a little dodgy to me
Pros: Nice and very clean. Staff make you feel like home. Helpful with information
Cons: Little far from the center but not big deal.
Pros: Very nice hotel. Personal was very friendly (no engl. speaking) and it was having very home feelling. Perfect parking - behind the gate, very good access. Comfortable bed and nice big bathroom. It was a bit colder during night, but extra blanket was prepared and enought. Very clean room and good wifi connection.
Cons: Probably the location - as is further from the centre. But we need it only for night before hading into Semuc Champey and for us was the main think the parking which was perfect there. So no problem for us.
Pros: Clean rooms and nice staff
Cons: The bathroom smell weird and the hotel is far from restaurants and stores

Pros: Nice place clean and great people
Cons: The bed
Pros: Nice hotel in the middle of a nice busy neighbourhood. We liked our stay.
Pros: We received a friendly welcome. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine and Chocolates to say Merry Xmas The hotel is quaint
Cons: There was no internet in the room. There was a bad smell from the drain. The noise from the market early in the morning was disturbing.
Pros: It was a surprise that the included breakfast was delicious and abundant. With a lot of options to choose.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: In the midst of the market terminal. Restaurant only offered breakfast.
Pros: The hotel is set back in a courtyard. It isn't very bright or fancy, but the rooms are comfortable and there is plenty of hot water, the beds are great - a real mattress! But the best thing, were by far the young men who run the hotel and the cook! We had supreme service and delicious food. Don't let the location put you off! And if in need of a taxi driver, ask them to ring Mario! He was fabulous!
Cons: The hotel is located on a market street which was dirty, and on arrival didn't look to be a nice place to stay, or near any tourist destinations.
Pros: Good value for price since it also includes breakfast
Cons: Location is a little dodgy especially past 5 PM
Located in Cobán, Hostal Casatenango features a garden, terrace and free WiFi throughout the property. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, a shared kitchen and currency exchange for guests.
Pros: Really friendly staff, good location, no complaints
Pros: Great price, good location
Pros: There was a hot shower, the location was nice (in between a lot of restaurants and an atm). Possibility to book shuttles (though the shuttle that we wanted was fully booked: pro tip, go to Lanquin with local transport, the minibusses are cheap, easy to find on maps.me and you don't have to wake up early to get the shuttle at 7am)
Cons: The thing that bothered us most (besides the windowless room, the plastic covered matress, the reeking toilet and the loud music at 7.30am) was the fact that they mixed up our reservation and got a room with two singles instead of one double bed, that we still payed the price of the double and got no sorry from the grumpy staffmember.
Pros: Check in was easy, the room was comfortable, location is great as well.
Cons: There was no hot water for the shower, mild inconvenience, everything else was great!
Pros: The staff is friendly and professional The hostel is very central and easy to access There is kitchen to use There is free filtered water
Cons: The hostel does not look nice The room and bathroom were old There was a strange smell in the room and in the kitchen (old stuff) The toilets were not clean
Pros: I loved the attention of the staff, the location and the price. Is a very comfort place to spend a night or two, excelent for those who look for a cheap vacation. The private room was very clean and offers tv, bathroom. Even though we did not use the kitchen, seems like a very nice option to gather and save a little money.
Cons: Even when we asked for the private room, the private bathroom is exactly next to a shared bathroom so you can hear some noises. I would expect that the bathroon were more clean, particulary the bath courtains and more neat toilet, but it worked. Its ok to visit. A chance for improve to the hotel manager.
Pros: They were very helpful and gave excellent travel advice.
Cons: Everything was good
Pros: We were able to book a shuttle and transportation easily directly at the reception and the staff was helpfull with it. It was convenient for our only night in Coban and it’s not far from a coffee plantation (around 15 minutes in taxi).
Cons: There is only one bathroom and we had to wait a little bit before using it, since the shower is in the bathroom.

Pros: Great staff, super clean, and great food. Excellent hotel!
Pros: The building is so beautiful...the interior garden is something really to visit
Cons: Rooms are really old and toilets need to be updated ... sheets and towels should be renovated
Pros: We stayed in Coban on our way to Semuc. This place was around the block from the Monja Blanca Bus Station. It was beautiful inside, the room was great and the restaurant was excellent. We stayed on the way back as well.
Cons: The town of Coban is not so nice, this hotel was a relief.
Pros: Private, really attentive staff and comfortable atmosphere.
Cons: It is not inside the island of Flores but within walking distance.
Pros: The decoration it's great.
Cons: We ask for extra blankets, but never got it. It was very musty, too much humidity. Staff don't understand English so we have to pay for breakfast, it was included in price, but they served the wrong one. No WIFI
Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, Hostal El Calvario offers pet-friendly accommodation in Cobán. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. A TV is provided. There is free coffee and tea. There is a 24-hour front desk at the property.
Pros: Staff is super friendly, very close to center
Cons: Toilet was okay, could be better. Quiet hostel if you looking to party, not the right place
Pros: There was a rooftop
Cons: I had a bad experience with this hostel. The prices are much to high for what you're getting. Everything is dusty and smells bad. The owner was stoned and unfriendly when he opened the door.
Pros: The location.
Cons: Well... I didn't liked almost everything... The room was tiny, no window we can open. The place was noisy because friends of the owner came here to smoke and listen to music. I hoped for a quiet place but it was actually not. The kitchen and the dishes are disgusting, I wouldn't cook anything here. About the common bathroom... Every time I went here... There was pee all around the toilet bawl... So for sure I do not recommend this place, and I would never come back again.
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The terrace looks nice, but did not have time to make use of it.
Cons: A bit dirty, bathroom needs renovation, the bed was prepared without an extra linnen. We had to ask for it or otherwise sleep only with the not so clean looking blankets.
Pros: The dorm was only a 4 bed dorm and the hourskeeper was very friendly! The location was great too! We even got our own key for the door.
Cons: The kitchen was nice but didn't have enough silverware.
Pros: Location is central. The young guy, I think his name is Angel, who does most of the work there, was super helpful, accommodating, and polite. The kitchen is available to use and is kept clean. Water is free. Wifi is strong. Town felt very safe. We even walked to the Centro at 5 am to catch a bus.
Cons: Our room had its own toilet upstairs. The sewer smell was very strong. Maybe opt for a room with a toilet away from the room.
Pros: Accept dog, quick reactions for request and questions for workers. Big bathroom.
Cons: Dark light, small space, windows witch can't be open.
Pros: The staff were lovely and very helpful!
Cons: Loud at night because there is a bar on the balcony upstairs!
With a stay at Hotel Casa Chapultepec - Hostel in Coban, you'll be a 2-minute walk from Museo El Príncipe Maya and 6 minutes by foot from La Paz Central Park. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and refrigerator in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great location, amazing bakery!
Pros: Staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: Very overpriced for accommodation. Staff initially seemed surprised we turned up!!!
Pros: The staff seemed to have every good intentions and were cheerful. However, there was one staff member who perhaps was new (?) and didn’t seem to grasp the basics - giving information about the facilities, carrying out simple requests, being available, etc. Although the food service was extremely slow, the few items we ate were fresh, good-tasting and nice-sized portions. Parking was very easy and accessible.
Cons: The room (as well as many others) was located just on the other side of an extremely thin wall which was also the wall to the outdoor patio. There was constant noise, loud music until at least 9 p.m. and it was as if the people and the speakers were sharing our room with us. Inside the room the bed was so large (a jerry-rigged “king-size” bed consisting of full-size and twin mattresses) that there was barely even enough room to walk, let alone put luggage down or move past each other. The bathroom door (and bathroom itself) was so narrow that we had to enter sideways. An even slightly overweight person would not be able to get through. The sink was outside the bathroom, in the bedroom, but practically impossible to use because it was covered by a wooden shelf, so one would have to squeeze one’s head into the tiny space between the shelf and the sink in order to do anything. The towels were paper-thin and child-sized, the soap bars were miniscule and only lasted about one hands’ washing - forget a full shower. Shower water was lukewarm at best. Electrical outlets were shoddy and barely worked. The room and the hallway outside smelled very unpleasant and in general the whole place was worn down and worn out. We had planned to spend two nights, but left early the next morning because we couldn’t bear another day & night there.
Pros: Good location , parking lot, free breakfast. Good staff very nice people.
Cons: Old, smelly, awful bed pillows and bedding. The room was extremely small really uncomfortable. My room was next to the dining area so it was noisy all the time, impossible to rest. It should cost at least half of what it costed.
Pros: The staff was really nice and helpful. They made sure that our stay was nice and we got a tasty coffee at arrival. They even helped us organize a transport to Lanquin. For a a stop-over to lanquin, this is a decent place to stay for the price.
Cons: The walls of the rooms are really thin, so that you have the impression your neighbor is lying next to you in the bed. The bathroom is quiet small but has al the basics.
Pros: The location is good. The hotel has its own parking
Cons: The facilities could be better. They have only few rooms.
Pros: Excellent breakfast and staff was friendly. Onsite and secured parking.
Cons: Bathroom was too small and no hot water. Music was turned on at 7am!

Cons: Completely different to pictures and descriptions - totally misleading. Dirty walls. Toilet broken/did not flush. Booked room with 2 Queen beds - only 1 Queen and 1 single. No windows or natural light in room.
Pros: Súper limpio very clean! Bien amable!! Wonderful staff the nicest :) great location. 10 stars!
Pros: The personnel was amazing, super friendly and easy going. The location was perfect and the village was nice. You can easily visit the tea gardens the with the chicken bus.
Cons: Nothing, the facilities were not great but the price-quality was perfect.
Cons: Through the basic info here in Booking.com they offer flat tv screen in the room I booked and credit card accepted. I had to change room because of tv and they accept cash only.

Pros: Really nice showers with Hot Water... great for ending a long day! The Hotel offer a Coffee tour and also the breakfast was good; they basically give you what you like.
