Pros: Good location, great pools, friendly staff. It has the potential to be a really nice place to stay....
Cons: Vehicle wait, outside of hotel property upon arrival can be an hour or more...check-in makes you feel like a herd of animals...very low class to say the least. The only meal we enjoyed (of the 7 we ate) was an a la carte dinner at the Thai restaurant (now combined with another "theme" restaurant, both having their menus reduced greatly). There, the service was good and the main dishes were very tasty. The buffets are really bad...you can get a drink served when you first sit down but then it is hard to find a waiter/waitress for the rest of your sitting (they are understaffed in this regard). The food is bland and not good quality. The drinks, likewise, are made with 2nd class liquor and other ingredients. Is this typical of Decameron? Definitely not pleasing. Cheap, maybe, but not pleasing.
You will be hounded by resellers of timeshares- that is also very irritating.
Finally, the check-out is almost as irritating as the check-in. We were sent to the "disco" for the last part of the trip. Had to watch the guys/girls girating and practicing for "the show" later that evening while we waited to be checked out....
Pros: Pools, local animals, staff was very friendly.
Cons: Check in procedure was awful. They have a time you can enter, if you arrive early, you have to sit in your car in the sun until they open the gate. Then, it's very confusing on how to check in. I felt like I was checking in to a prison.
You cannot enjoy the ocean waves because of the rocks!!
Pros: Nice hotel and grounds, good food too.
Cons: Yes it's on the beach but nothing is nearby,be prepared to stay there and not leave the grounds! Also I had an emergency and had to leave early with 6 days notice, the hotel said I had to contact Hotels.com,,well since the hotel got paid up front, they weren't reimbursing the remaining days I had coming,so I lost out,$$

Pros: fairly new built hotel, large grounds, clean rooms, serenity of the countryside, swimming pool with falling water springs
Cons: Attempts at penny pinching on everything (e.g. internet, towels for swimming pool, choosing little things in breakfast), as well as for any offered activities. It would have been understandable if ...
Pros: It is a quiet place, where you can rest peacefully and enjoy some local activities. Food is great and prices are reasonable.
Cons: I checked on Booking for a free bicycle ride and wifi. But there was no wifi and the bicycles were paid (not free as described by booking).
Pros: The staff was very kind
Cons: The location stated at booking.com is not correct so it took us a long time to find the hotel. The hotel is really big and from the outside it Pools luxuorious but the rooms are basic and there is not...
Cons: Just a suggestion, the possibility to pay with credit card now only can pay in cash
Pros: Staff were friendly. Chef went out of his way to make me healthy smoothies each morning. WiFi worked well near the kitchen, but managers were constantly smoking there. Secluded beach just a few ...
Pros: Food was tailor-made and delicious, and the compound had a strong touch of a big family, all very open, transparent and friendly...room was comparably big. Range of boat services closeby on offer.
Pros: There was direct beach access, although you can't really call it a nice beach what with the shacks, boats, lack of space....and rubbish. The swimming pool was clean enough.
Cons: The staff: it was a visible chore for them to do absolutely any work. The worst attitude of any hotel staff I have ever had the misfortune to have to deal with. I arrived at 8pm and all other eating ...
Pros: Paul and his manager Sofia were great hosts during my stay in Los Cobanos. I felt at home right away in this little fishing village 3 hours from San Salvador. I went out to Los Cobanos for a weekend ...
Cons: Cold shower.
Pros: The food and location (beachfront).
Cons: No drinking glasses and hot water.
Pros: Very quiet and peaceful. Jose was very attentive and helpful. Pool area was nice.
Cons: On the beach, as you leave the hotel, it is downright depressing. Squatters living in old buildings, hard to find food and drink after 6:30pm. No tv.
