Hostal Rural Villa Vieja - Olite - Building
1
9.2 Excellent (1,280 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Situated in the Medieval centre, this hotel is located just a 2-minute walk from the fabulous Olite Palace and nestled within the beautiful, rural surroundings of Navarra. Take the short stroll down one of the most attractive streets in Olite to the impressive Palace. Once a castle to the Visigoth kings, it was then converted to a Palacial home by Charles III. You will notice the eclectic mix of architecture that combines Gothic arches with turreted walls and regal gardens. After a busy day of Medieval culture, return back to the simple comforts of Hotel Rural with its clever contrast of the traditional façade and sleek interior design. Breakfast is served in the café. Gluten-free breakfasts are available on prior request.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The facilities and value for money were excellent. The female receptionist was extremely pleasant and helpful. The male who was in attendance the next day was so helpful. I lost some sunglasses in the town. He did everything he could to overcome language difficulties with other people to help me. He went beyond he job description I’m sure. The room/bathroom was excellent. It was also very quiet being slightly out of town. Tafalla also has a delightful town centre. I would definitely stay there again. Good as a stop off on route, very handy to Olite and could be good for visiting Pamplona as the train connects it.
Cons: Nothing really. I booked it because it had private parking. I decided against using it as it was two floors down below the supermarket parking. It was private as you needed to call reception for them to open the way in. All ok, but at the end of a long journey I just couldn’t be bothered. It was totally safe outside the hotel anyway.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good dinner and breakfast, room wS good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close enough to Pamplona to commute by bus to San Fermin without paying exorbitant Pamplona Hotel prices. The staff was excellent and very helpful on several occasions. The hotel was excellent and no noise from other guests. Extra pillows already in the room.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: well placed to visit Navarra (Bardenas, Olite, Urredera...), clean hotel with helpfull staff.
Cons: Temperature is hot in Tafalla area, a small fridge in the room to be able refrigerate water would be apppreciated.

Pros: Great little place. Good for overnight stop. A little out of town so quiet.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms, quiet area, very interesting that we could use te kitchen (fridge etc) to prepare something. very nice people who immediately gave explanations about the town and gave maps. Parking on the street, but in front of the establishment. Very good breakfast (for Spanish standards) with home cooked apple pie.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The inclusive breakfast was very good accommodation was good it
Cons: The area was poor it took us a long time finding the place because it was so badly signposted if we hadn't been able to speak Spanish we would have been stumped.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly owners. Superbly clean and spacious room. Parking for my motorcycle around the back. Breakfast limited but adequate.
Cons: Out of town centre but only a 5 minute walk to get to the main square.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely lady runs it, very helpful and friendly though she has little English. Easy access to the town and buses to Pamplona etc. I recommend visiting Olite too.
Cons: Don't expect a full English, breakfast mainly cake and sweet stuff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find, parked outside, 5 minute walk into town, well explained by the lady who welcomed us so nicely, a big square and cobbled streets, plenty of restaurants and tapas bars, all very enjoyable. Spaciously clean room, very comfortable, WiFi worked very well. Breakfast the next morning was very good, especially the home made cake. A great overnight stay, would happily do it all again.

Pros: Cleanliness & location. The hotelier was charming and very accommodating. Breakfast was adequate but fresh fruit and yogurt would have been nice to have.
Cons: Bed was uncomfortable
7.5 Good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The central location and character of the Hotel
7.5 Good
Pros: Secure Garage for motorbike and comfortable beds. Lovely meal at Merindad de Olite restaurant. Coffee house around corner great for breakfast.
Cons: Just a sheet on the bed and small blanket. Very quiet in town with little choice of places to eat.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A really nice little hotel, comfortable, well located and very easy to find. Room was spacious with a lovely little enclosed balcony over the street. On site underground parking which is nice, although a little tight if your car is larger. Staff are lovely and very helpful as are the staff in the on-site public restaurant. Our meal there was very good.
Cons: The hotel could do with a lounge or somewhere to sit, even in the lobby would do but access to the public restaurant I guess precludes that. If I had to complain about anything it would be that the bathroom floor could use a scrub. The mini tiles seem to have caught a lot of dirt in the grout but a quick scrub I am sure would work wonders. Everything else was beautifully clean.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location, big room and bathroom. Good food in the restaurant. Air Conditioning .
6.8 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good.
Cons: Unfortunately our friends had to change rooms as there was no air con and no windows to open so the room was like a sauna. The room they were given wasn't much better as the air con dripped and the toilet constantly dripped aswell.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms dark Breakfast poor
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Underground car park for our convertible car. Proximity to the castle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The greeting we received was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is very well appointed. Good quality rooms with excellent showers and very comfortable beds. The air con was switched on before we arrived and the room was cool despite the 40 degree heat. Good location with secure parking. We gave the restaurant a try and the waitress , Christianna was very helpful and encouraged us to try the local food which was excellent. The breakfast provided a good variety and everything was fresh. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excelent lunch. The restaurant if fenomanal for lunch. Friendly staff.
Cons: The breakfast is ridiculous. Stale orange jiuce, tap water, no eggs etc. worse breakfast ever, and i live on the road
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Great room. The best shower I have had in years. Good breakfast if you're interested.
Cons: Nothing. There isn't to dislike. Don't take too big a car as the entrance to the garage is tight. Also on leaving you drive the wrong way. It's not far 50metres.

Cons: The breakfast was a kind of poor. No fresh (real) bread.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The easiness to find the place thanks to Josemari sending us advance information, the welcome from Linda, Andy and Josemari, the delicious evening meal with products from the garden, the great breakfast, the ability to pick figs and grapes outside your bedroom, the quirkiness of the place with the animals, the donkeys, the cats, the dogs , a fantastic location from which to explore the local area especially Ujué one of Spain’s most beautiful village.
Cons: Nothing really.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very personable & helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is definitely a place to return to. Very welcoming and laid back hosts. Perfect place to hide out while exploring Navarra. Make sure to have diner there as well. And chances are you'll find some good conversation.
7.5 Good
Pros: The efforts on being nature-friendly and self powered. The construction of the room was very new and well maintained. My private room had private bathroom... well, it was a shower-room. Pressure of water was ok although the flow was limited (of course it's understandable as it's more sustainable). No tv on the bedroom... so bring your own entertainment!
Cons: Privacy in not the highest it could be. I believe it's not very good for couples trying to have intimacy. The blinds of the main window were a bit short and didn't touch the ground. No soap was provided. Although the landlord kindly provided us with hand-soap, I recommend to the next guests to wear their own soap and shower gel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable in our room. The view was lovely and the patio was beautiful. There is a nice restaurant where we got dinner and breakfast. The food was we'll prepared and came quickly.
Cons: Our room was a little cooler than we would like. No shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Owners very welcoming. Good home produce.
Parador de Olite - Olite - Building
6
8.6 Excellent (1,347 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Parador de Olite, you'll be centrally located in Olite, steps from Museo del Vino and within a 5-minute walk of Palacio Real de Olite. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful historic castle setting. Well appointed room. Quiet. Good air conditioning. Impressive common areas. One aside room of the main lounge was A prison! Interesting menu at the restaurants.
Cons: Parking was in a public area several blocks away. Wasn’t sure if my car was totally safe. Since spaces were tight, I was concerned that someone could have bumped into my car or scratched it and I would have to pay the rental company. There was no assurance from Parador on how to handle such a situation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a really interesting place to spend a night. Attached to the castle, it had a great location in the old part of town. Finding it via the GPS was a bit tricky. You need to drive down what appears to be a pedestrian walk way to upload and check in, 20 minute parking. Then move the car about a 5 minute walk away. We also enjoyed the Olite escape room, which is about a 15 minutes walking.
Cons: The only issue is that it was hard to find the main entrance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding property in a beautiful and charming town. The castle next door is beyond magical. Expertly restored and delightful to explore. I would highly recommend this parador to anyone who wants to experience a lovely medieval Spanish town.
Cons: All good.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: End of road trip, tired and grumpy but perfect place to end. No fuss, big room. Easy access.
Cons: We were by far the youngest guests - I’m 60!
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The beds and bedding are poor
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great Location as The hotel sits besides the spectacularly restored medieval Olite Palace
Cons: The parador is a relatively new/53 years old hotel built behind the walls of the old palace. The inside has pleasant spaces but is over-decorated in a medieval style. The abundance of heavy curtains and semi-old and sometimes even dirty looking carpets is simply too much. The building would look better/more monumental without it. On top of it, it triggered an allergy in one of our family members.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room
Cons: none
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Parador building, the atmosphere and location
Cons: Airco in the room not powerful
6.8 Good
Pros: The bed was harsh & the pillows hard noisy place
Hotel Merindad de Olite - Olite - Building

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Merindad de Olite in Olite, you'll be just steps from Museo del Vino and Church of Santa María la Real. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful/lovely hotel to stay. Fabulous decor and antiques. Especially loved the roof-top terrace even though it was windy. What a great place to stay and the village is lovely too.
Cons: Nothing.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was excellent for an overnight stay. We ate in the restaurant which was also nice, if not a bit expensive.
Cons: ‘Add ons’ in the restaurant - a bit petty to add a cover charge. Parking is a bit iffey although this is not the fault of the Hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast, exceptional stay in this lovely quirky hotel, absolutely spotless in brilliant location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great evening meal, fantastic choice of wines from bodega, recommend Ochoa. Delicious breakfast.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent restaurant with a wine list at retail prices as they have a shop selling wine. Breakfast was lovely. We preferred staying here to the parador next door where we stayed last year.
Cons: For us there was nothing we did not like it was perfect for what we wanted and extremely good value
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the location was superb - a beautiful town.Well worth a visit. The castle was amazing & some lovely bars. Will be back!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel, very clean, central location. Comfortable room and bed. Excellent restaurant.
Cons: wifi didn't work in the room in the evening
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant offered large selection of wine that could be bought by the glass or by the bottle from the incorporated wine cellar/shop. View from the room.
Cons: Nothing to dislike. Everything met expectations - even the 200m. walk to the parking (after all, we were in old walled town and the parking was free).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff are tremendous, informative, proud of their town. The food in this hotel is wonderful local fresh and delicious. The standard is the same in the bar and resteraunt and very reasonable. The rooms to front of the hotel overlook the narrow romantic streets. Those to the rear the plains. The roof terrace is a great place to sunbathe private and quiet.
Cons: The stairs! It is not the hotels' fault it is a very old city but there are stairs everywhere and because of the age of the building no lift inside.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is a really lovely boutique type hotel. Seemingly family run with a cosy feel in terms of furniture and fittings - mostly antique style. Lovely comfy beds with beautiful linen and towels changed daily. Beautiful setting within short walk of 2 squares for lots of "people watching" over a chilled glass of Rose, surrounded by old, historic buildings and cobbled streets. We stayed on our way from the Ferry at Bilbao to Alicante and liked it so much we had another 2 night stay when we did the return route 4 weeks later. Will definitely go back if we get the opportunity. Try the restaurant attached to the hotel - excellent and noted locally for its food and wine.
Cons: Hard to find fault but it would have been nice if the bar/outside seating area had been open for service outside the restaurant opening hours. But that would have meant employing more staff, which probably wouldn't be cost effective. Car parking is a short walk away but that applies to all hotels in Olite due to the nature of the town, and it does seem to be very "safe".

Pros: Nicely situated for visiting old town in the evening
Cons: Breakfast started a bit too late for work schedule for visit
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful and welcoming. Would definitely stay at this hotel again without a second thought. The small outdoor swimming pool was clean and lovely for a quick dip to cool off in the warm sun .
Cons: Nothing!! we had a very good experience at this hotel
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel itself and its location
Cons: Breakfast, and although we had not booked breakfasts we were forced to pay for them even if we did not eat them.
6.8 Good
Pros: Hotel was comfortable, but not quite what it said on the tin,i.e. " a superior room" ? It was a nice room, but having stayed in a number of 2,3 star hotels in Spain ( which have been fine) I don't think that this room was superior to the usual high standard.
Cons: The mananagers anti Jewish opinions.
Hospedería Bei.tu - Olite - Bedroom
9
8.3 Excellent (114 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Hospedería Bei.tu in Beire, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Palacio Real de Olite and Church of Santa María la Real. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Pros: The building had character. Facilities were adequate. It was only a five minute drive to historical town of Olite.
Cons: As cafes and restaurants were not close access to a refrigerator would have been helpful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: great atmosphere, in an old monastery. Situated in a lovely old village, only 3 km from Olite. Very good breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Air conditioning, breakfast was plentiful with Iberian ham, toast, bread, butter, jams, fresh fruit, cereals, four different kinds of milk etc. etc. Conveniently situated (if you have a car) for Olite and Petilla (pools in both places). Little to do in Biere but it does have a restaurant and two bars. The shop opens mornings only. Very clean rooms, white sheets & towels, comfortable beds, fascinating, peaceful building, two lounges - both equipped with TV. Very peaceful and I'd stay here again. The pool in Petilla is the agricultural looking building on the left as you enter Petilla - there are NO signposts! There's a barbecue area just across the road from the main entrance so you could buy some nosh from Olite and have a barby if the mood takes you.
Cons: No TV in room (but more than compensated for by the two lounges with TV), dodgy internet connection. Sound and vibration proofing could be better; I awoke to a trembling bed and thought the missus was having a nightmare. I then observed that she was stock still and the vibrations were coming from next door!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning setting, stunning building, fantastic meal, lovely people, this is authentic Spain at its finest
Hotel Ducay - Olite - Building

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was good as was the WiFi. The lift was good as I was on the 3rd floor.
Cons: Overpriced for one person €40 would have been fair. I asked to be swaped to a double room rather than a twin but it didn't happen. The hotel was almost empty!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were very clean and comfortable and the air conditioning in the room worked well. The bar/cafe downstairs had good food. Our room had a small outdoor terrace with seats and the views of the plaza below and of the Palacio Real de Olite were excellent! Overall, this hotel has an excellent location in the town.
Cons: The shower did not have a full glass enclosure or curtain to keep water from going onto the bathroom floor when you use it. It only had a half glass enclosure. Everything else was superb!
7.5 Good
Pros: The location was great and the town was really nice but get there after 6 as before full of coach parties
Cons: There was no parking but due to location understanable I eat a salad which consisted of lettuce a few cherry tomatoes and anchovies which I thought was expensive for what it was
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast at a great price
Cons: Parking. We had a van that would not go in the underground car park ( it would have cost 15 euros a day) We had to park over the river about 1/2 mile away. But at least it was free!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, friendliness of staff .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in this charming hotel after our visit to the Bardenas Reales and it was well worth a ride. Olite is a cute little town and the hotel follows the traditional knight-related theme which is so fun! The room was perfect and clean, and it had everything you need for a short stay. My honest recommendation.

7.0 Good
Pros: The room was warm & quiet. The bar/restaurant is popular with locals, giving a friendly atmosphere. The location is excellent, being on the main square.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: THE LOCATION IS EXCELLENT
Cons: We have booked with two kids, but unfortuantely the twin room bed is too small for two kids, we have expected a bigger double bed in the room

Cons: Access to parking is not the best. . . But we were advised that the access was complicated for larger vehicles
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and confy
Cons: No vegetarian choice at the restaurant

Cons: Beds far to hard
9.3 Excellent

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming staff, did not speak a lot of English( not expected ) but helped us chose a great meal that night in their restaurant and bar. 50m from town square, great position.
Cons: Parking was advised as Public but was Secured Covered Parking very nearby. Description should be amended as it is an improvement.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good points are location, secure parking at reasonable charge, friendly staff, good shower.
Cons: Parking is tight underground for larger cars but ok. The room smelled musty, not nice!. Nice bathroom but had no air vent so steam came into room. Beds hard. Room in general needs upgrade. I believe the price was over-charged. Wouldn’t return
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms and public areas good location to town square
Cons: Breakfasts were individually served on trays
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location close to the centre & good restaurants
Cons: Man at reception failed to give us the garage code first time round
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast a bit basic!
Cons: The Town itself is what I describe a scruffy. Litter all over the streets and a prevalent smell of stale tobacco.
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Casa Zanito in Olite, you'll be just steps from Church of Santa María la Real and Museo del Vino. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location in old city. No car access, but worth it!
Cons: Very poor internet. We were unable to connect for the entire visit - neither in our room nor in public space. They say they have it, but the strength of the signal is very weak.
6.3 Good
Pros: The old world feel and the proximity to old town. Good coffee
Cons: The hotel is in old town and is charming, but the rooms were small and cramped. The beds were very narrow and not stable, so hard to sleep. Mattress kept slipping off foundation. The staff did not speak English and we needed to modify reservation and it took forever to resolve. Breakfast was only fair, despite the fact that the restaurant was a major focus of hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In City centre , visit round the Royal Palace of Olite was excellent €2 each (pensioner) !!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect to visit the beautiful city of Olite. We really liked the style of the room and the quality of the bed (mattress) The breakfast was good, and the value for money excellent! We requested a baby cot for our little girl, it was not ready upon check-in however the staff kindly came to install it in the room, again excellent mattress, our baby girl slept very well! Very nice "bar a pinxos" downstairs (cash only!)
Cons: This accommodation is really losing point with the fact that the description informs guests of a lift at the property... however it is only from the 1st to the 2nd floor! We had to take steep stairs from the street to the reception (located on the 1st floor) We also regret the lack of privacy for both restaurant and hotel's guests as the reception is in the middle of the restaurant, with redesigning the entrance by losing few tables it will be nicer!
7.5 Good
Pros: Good option to stay on our way at through
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bed was super comfortable!!
Cons: Bath could be revamped (old shower)
7.5 Good
Pros: Beds were comfortable. Nice towels. Not too much noisy (apart from the floorboards). Lift.

7.0 Good
Pros: Good choice if you travel by car, 5 minutes driving from Olite or Tafalla. The bathfroom was good, the room was ok. The staff is friendly and the parking is free
Cons: A common kitchen with a refrigerator would be a good idea. Also Sundays check in is until 18:00, after that you receive the keys via a box. This is not bad, but the problem is that we didnt informed about the wifi password and we didnt found any information about this in the room. May be a card with some informations such as wifi password would be a good idea too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean(room, bathroom, bedding and towels) warm and comfortable room and beds. Really good food in the restaurant and bar for breakfast and very cheap (26 euros for 3 course dinner for 2 with wine and 6 euros for breakfast for 2) staff really helpful and friendly (filled our flask with boiling water without charge). Ticked all our boxes, we'd stay again. Very traditional Spanish don't expect sleek modern!
Cons: Being very picky here! No liquid hand soap and no mirror in the bedroom.(there was shampoo and shower gel and plenty of mirrors in the bathroom).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Helpful and friendly staff - couldn't do enough to help and make my stay enjoyable. Even made me an early dinner as dining room not open till 9pmm which was far too late for me.
Cons: What was not to like! Gladly stay here on another occasion.
