Pros: What a beautiful place to stay hidden away in a quiet village and perfect base for exploring the stunning wine counrty nearby. Chiara was thefriendliest Italian host we met on our travels and nothing was too much trouble for her. Loved our rooms, the history of the house and the delicious breakfast - made all the better by local produce including granny's figs! Definitely we will be back. Thank you Chiara and good luck
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location of the place was quite good, You need a car to reach it, but you still need a car to travel around Lange region to enjoy wineyards and marevellous cities around. Chiara (the host) was very friendly and helpful person. Breakfasts were great with lots of local varieties to try. The room was also very cozy and lovely,

Pros: We arrived at Moonfrà a beautiful B&B in the Italian hills close to Asti and we felt at home straight away because of Chiara the owner. We were hungry, but they are officially not a restaurant. It turns out that they are just humble, because Chiara and her mother prepared us the most amazing lunch with lots of local (own garden) ingredients and a beautiful bottle of wine... ok 2 bottles. We ended up having lunch for three hours underneath the trees in the garden. After we lost a battle against mosquitos at the pool, it was really nice to chill out in our serene and comfortable room overlooking the hills. Breakfast the next morning was amazing with home made pies and perfectly cooked scrambled eggs! If we are close to Moonfrà again, we will definately do a nice pitstop there again. Very recommendable place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about Moonfra. Since the begging of our trip Chiara was a wonderful host. She made everything to make us comfortable. She gave us some information about the area, recommended a lovely place where we had dinner and even when we need a bubble wrap she was there to help us. Moonfra is a lovely place with new furnitures, a beautiful view, friendly people, rooms extremely clean and very well located, usually 30 min from most important comunes. For breakfast we always had fresh local products, pies, jams, juices, pastries.... Simply wonderful! We were very happy in our choice and we definitly recommend this place.
Cons: Maybe a bigger mirror at the room would be great, but not a problem at all. We definetly will stay there next time in Piedmont.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best B&B ever for me. Very relaxing and comfortable staying thanks to hospitality of hosts, historical palace building and good taste interior, relaxing spacious garden, beautiful countryside surroundings, breakfast..every single detail was so great. -host. Chiara was wonderful. Warm, welcoming, always help guests. Felt pleasant and relaxed after tiring drive by her hospitality. -breakfast. Various choice. Served fresh cappucino and cooked eggs according to requests. Lovely breakfast room. we had breakfast in the last minute, but they never rush us and even add some foods on empty place, felt hospitality. -surroundings. B&B is in a small quiet town and surrounded by hills. Landscape from their large green garden. -room and building. room was very clean, good taste. Useful equipments like safety box, fridge with drinks, electric kettle and teabags etc.The building used to be an old palace which fully beautifully renovated by them. She said that they saved as much original beautiful decorations as possible, so it looks very new in appearance but we felt historic atmosphere as well. -location. If you drive a car, it's convenient to explore Langhe Roero area and Asti is pretty close. The last minute to find the B&B seemed to be a little bit hard, you will go a bit small street along the church. But we had Google maps so there was no problem to find the right street and B&B. -other. She gave us tips for restaurants and information of seasonal events of Asti and Bra when we asked her some recommendation. It helped our trip more enjoyable. And we asked her about their wine cellar and she showed us a renovated wine cellar of old family that used to live in this palace in the past. It was very interesting. They sell wines stored in the cellar as well. It is very new B&B now, and she said they have a lot to do and some plans to start in the future, and we hope they will be successful forever. Would love to come back someday. Thank you.

Pros: The property is newly renovated, elegant & stylish, nice garden and a pool. Apart from the facility, Chiara, who runs the place is an absolute angel. She is cheerful, chic and extremely helpful. She told us all we need to know about the region and arranged everything for us. Best host ever!
Cons: Nothing at all. Maybe a bit mosquitos in the garden but Chiara has the repellent spray ready too :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We arrived around midnight, but Chiara stayed up and gave us a warm welcome at this wonderful place situated in a peaceful little village. Nice facilities including the room. Very very clean. Breakfast is everything you need and more, including lots of treats from the garden and homemade pastries. The most pleasant though was the incredible welcoming host Chiara. She booked wine tours and tasting for us and gave us all the best tips to start exploring the area of Piemonte. We had a wonderful day! Wish we could have stayed longer, will definently come back next time we are in Piemonte!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fulvia & Marco we’re so kind and accommodating. They couldn’t do enough for us. Small things are important in Italy and speak volumes about a person and a place: our hosts noticed that we only drank sparkling water at breakfast so what appeared in our room frig? Extra bottles of sparkling water every day! The B&B is spotlessly clean. The fresh pastry and eggs at breakfast were superb. The area is, well ... a UNESCO world heritage site so there’s not much more to say! Everything was perfect and when we go back we’re not going to stay anywhere else! (Oh, and the dogs were super friendly, and made it feel like home.)
Cons: There was NOTHING not to like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good host. Breakfast was top. The three dogs are lovely, they always wanted to play with a ball, it was so much fun.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hospitality warm family and great breakfast I would definitely recommend to stay there
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was absolutely amazing! The surrounding views of the small towns and vineyards are simply breathtaking. The room was super tidy and with a modern bathroom, and all the facilities are well taken care of. Fulvia and her sons are excellent hosts, they were very helpful with tips for activities and make great sweet and savory breakfasts everyday. The game changer though: their 3 sweetest and most adorable Border Collies, we played with them every single day (miss them so much!). If you love Italy, wine, and dogs, this place is a 10/10 recommend!
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host was incredibly helpful and friendly. She organised dinner bookings for us in August (which is hard to do as lots of things are closed in the area at this time), and the place she found for us was divine. The views from the property are absolutely stunning, and our room had a private balcony which we would have loved to have more time to relax on. As it was, wine and watching the sun go down one evening over the stunning surrounding hills was just amazing. The pool was a welcome refreshing dip and as its a small hotel, there were only ever a few other people there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is sensational in the middle of the vineyards. Peaceful and beautiful. The host was charming and made us feel at home. The all property is spotless. The pool area is fantastic. We will definitely come back !!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room! Extremely nice location. The swimming pool is large with a splendid view over Piemonte. Breakfast offers a large variety of cheese, ham and different sorts of cake. The owner likes to bake all kind of things. The host is a very nice person who runs her B&B together with her two sons in a informal way without being to present.
Cons: Nothing really..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B/hotel is a renovated farmhouse on the top of the hill with panoramic view of the beautiful Piedmont vineyards and hill towns in the area. Mr. & Mrs Alcaiti, the owners, welcomed us themselves, great hospitality. One person in our group needed an extra adaptor, and without us requesting, they went out to town and got one for him! We were very impressed. There are 3 traditional farm house style rooms in the main building, and 2 large and modern style suites at the front, with terraces overlooking the stunning view. The rooms were all clean and comfortable, with tea and coffee making sets available. Wifi worked well. They have a nice swimming pool, but the best entertainment for us during the cold day were their three very lively and polite dogs (Kelly, Lady and rosemarie). The host reserved a lovely local restaurant in Costigliole d'Asti, 5 min drive away, for our dinner. Breakfast was plenty, with good quality bread and cold cuts, etc. Most special were the home made cakes, pies and cookies of so many varieties, freshly baked by Mrs. Alcaiti and her son. Roberto Alcaiti is a musician/guitarist who used to teach and record therefore the B&B name, his music was beautiful. Our group felt most relaxed and welcome, will definitely go back.
Cons: Nothing. We should just stay longer!

Pros: Stunning, quiet and rural location with beautiful views and walks- the perfect place to stay if you want to get away from it all. Amazing hosts- so attentive and genuinely friendly with fantastic recommendations for every day of our trip- it felt like a home from home. The small number of rooms are tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. Fresh produce and lots of variety at breakfast including home made cakes and fresh eggs how you like them. Had some very special evenings by the fire, drinking wine from local vinyards, eating yummy produce from the local supermarket (5 min drive) and roasting chestnuts. Theres a kitchen you can use if you dont want to eat out for every lunch and dinner and seating inside and out- perfect given we had a baby with us. Elena and Raul- we cant thank you enough. See you again soon!
Cons: We cant think of anything to put in this box!!

Pros: We were in a party of two mature adult couples. The double bedrooms were separate and lockable with their own ensuite facilities but were adjoining a shared sitting room which was a perfect meeting place. There was even a small kitchen area in the hallway but we didn't use it during our short stay. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the use of the spacious grounds around the mansion house and took the tour of the winery and the wine tasting which was informative and interesting.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We went to La Gibiana as a family with two kids of 12 and 15. We were welcomed by the owners Marzio and Lucia, with a nice glass of white wine. We right away felt welcome or as our kids said like we were staying with good friends. The place is perfectly situated in the vicinity of beautiful small historical towns like Asti and Alba which are great for sightseeing, shopping and dining, but also Turin is just an hour drive away. You can also make short trips by car revealing beautiful views over vineyards and lots of smaller pretty vilages. Dining in the evening at La Gibiana together with the owners, Marzio and Lucia, is also possible enjoying the delicious food they prepare together with lovely wine produced in their own vineyard which Marzio can tell you all about if you want. From the pool you have a beautiful view typical for the region with small villages on top of a hill grown with grapevines. We all really enjoyed the peace and quiet, the food and wine and the companionship of the owners, perhaps the biggest asset of La Gibiana.
Cons: We cannot think of anything and if there would have been, I am sure we could have asked for it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We went there to spend a quiet and nice w-end discovering the typical flavours from "Langhe and Monferrato". We spent the first evening with the host and his family, they offered us a delicious dinner with trouffles, and we could drink the wine from the B&B...fantastic. In the morning we had the great opportunity to follow a "tartufaio", but unfortunately we weren't so lucky, and we didn't find anything. Anyway was a great experience in order to extend our knowdlege about this delicious product. To end my review, I would like to thank all the staff of "B&B La Gibiana" for the great stay; well done and see you soon. Saluti da Locarno Giordano Laloli

Pros: Perfectly located to visit all the worthwhile villages in the Piemonte area, right in the middle of the wineyards with an amazing view from the room. The dinner with wine tasting is an absolute recommendation!
Cons: Only two minor points: there is no airco in the room and it is a bit difficult to communicate if you do not speak Italian. The perfect WiFi for google translate and friendliness of the hosts make up for this completely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Family owned, warm, welcoming and very calming yet within walking distance of very good restaurants in the local village. Accommodation in newly converted building beautifully finished. We had wine tasting too which is an absolute must - fabulous wines. We didn’t want to leave - we will be back.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Location, people, facilities, cleanliness are great. What has proven even more than the high expectations I had are furniture (vintage and tasteful in the smallest details) and the welcoming friendliness of the owners.
Cons: Stairs to go upstairs are old style: steep and a tad small for larger feet. I liked them very much, but it might be a concern for people with impaired mobility.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The view from the terrace is pleasant, and at dinner the staff are fast and welcoming.
Cons: It's a restaurant with rooms, not an agriturismo. Breakfast is offered in a room without windows, right next to the restaurant room which is already set up for lunch, so overnight guests are disinvited. The nearest neighbour is <100m away, and the local village is of no interest. No communal areas except terrace, which I'm sure is good in summer.

Pros: This agritutismo has an amazing view! Great view over the vineyards during your breakfast and diner. Their food was delicious and good wines. Nice wine houses in the neighborhood and Torino is only an hour driving. Conclusion: great agriturismo with delicious food owned by a nice family.

Pros: Perfect host, kind and helpful. The pool was very clean and the view from the terrace is amazing when sun is going down.

Pros: Mongalletto was really nice place for our stay. The location was perfect with wonderful views over wine fields and also over the city hill of Castellinaldo. The personnel was so kind and always ready to help and assist in case of any problems. The restaurant in the hotel served excellent food with good wines from nearby. Rooms were nice and tidy and the pool was great to have under the warm days in Piemonte. Highly recommend Mongaletto!

Pros: We are based in Switzerland and was visiting family in Alba on Sunday, but decided to make it a weekend. Antica Locanda San Pietro, was the perfect place to stay - we arrived and felt very welcome - checked in, perfect room Blue Sky and took a walk to nearby Govono, a beautiful old village. When we returned we had a drink at our balcony and enjoyed the view. Later we had excellent dinner and good Italian wine, with fantastic service in the restaurant - great menu card. Breakfast Sunday morning - again a super nice buffet and service again tip top. They earn full points for this stay. Ariane & Michael
Cons: If we should point out one thing - the plastic play tool for kids in the super well trimmed green garden, spoiled a wonderful view - it should be replaced with a play tool, properly in wood in natural colors. This is not a negative comment. It was just everything is so well renovated and maintained and beautiful - and this little plastic thing spring in the eye. Sorry ;-)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very Friendly service - good breakfast Plenty of towels in the spa ... and generally easy going atmosphere
Cons: Mattress on the bed could have been better (blue room - which was otherwise Very nice) Also ... not the fault of the establishment but the clock of the nearby church rings the hour (from 0700 or so) ...
6.3 Good
Pros: Very pretty property, nice garden and really nice room
Cons: Room and jacuzzi were not very clean; breakfast was too basic and produce not of the highest quality ( bread was most of the time stale)
7.1 Good
Pros: Very large bedrooms
Cons: Food was terrible
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Attention to detail, friendly staff, spacious rooms, great view, good location close to Alba/Asti/Barbaresco/Barolo etc. Breakfast with good juices, fresh fruit and fresh cakes. Dinner also good.
Cons: Many wasps and mosquitos. Although we understand it’s difficult to control for a hotel, they could do more to limit nuisance (release standing/dead water which are perfect breading spots for mosquitos, and have wasp catchers). Beds are a little hard in our view, but this is personal. When having dinner every night the options are limited (fixed menu, no changes). Swimming pool could use more umbrellas.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The views are exceptional and the staff and owner provide warm and friendly hospitality of the highest quality. Frederico and Monica could not do enough to help us and offered advice and opinions as to what to see and where to go. The breakfasts are superb and available officially until 11, though the staff were flexible and happy for us to sit there until after 11; even continuing to offer us coffee and water etc. Our ground floor room was a lovely two roomed bungalow with a little terrace that looked straight out into the garden and to the hills and valley beyond. Superb location and wonderful food. Highest recommendation for people interested in touring the world famous wine regions of Piedmonte.
Cons: The bed in our ground floor bungalow was uncomfortably hard and it would be great to have some proper block out curtains at night in the bedroom. The window coverings are paper thin and at night the outside lights shine into the bedroom and from dawn the daylight blasts in. Also would be a good idea from a privacy point of view, as sometimes there are people walking past the bedroom window or having a drink outside.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, kind and attentive people Best homemade breakfast ever Really nice and peaceful location Big sized room Well presented Great mattress
Cons: The bed are too short
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A true Italian farm with vines, chickens, sheep to milk, rabbits raised, saffron grown etc . Super hospitable young couple with three lovely daughters under 5. Tasty breakfast with peach cake and brilliant coffee. Ivan makes his own wine - a tasty red . First floor to ourselves with amazing views .

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simply amazing! So much history (and wine of course!), super clean, great breakfast. Samantha is such a great host. Make sure you reserve a tour around winery, tasting and the castle itself.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We were in a party of two mature adult couples. The double bedrooms were separate and lockable with their own ensuite facilities but were adjoining a shared sitting room which was a perfect meeting place. There was even a small kitchen area in the hallway but we didn't use it during our short stay. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the use of the spacious grounds around the mansion house and took the tour of the winery and the wine tasting which was informative and interesting.
Cons: Nothing. Being a Monday evening most of the nearby restaurants were closed but there was a useful guide provided in the room which gave alternatives in the locality within 3kms which were open.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This property is in an absolutely stunning location. The views to the vineyards are outstanding. The room we had was very clean and well presented. There was also an opportunity to taste the wine of the vineyard and do a tour which was really informative and interesting. The wine was also really good. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious (try the chocolate brownies!) We’d definitely visit again.
