Cons: The restaurant offered only two set menus. We would have eaten dinner there if there had been more options.
Pros: The hotel was selected as it was close to the Airport. It was a very good choice, perfect for our last night. The food was traditional and very good, and we would certainly stay there again.
Pros: A picturesque location 2 minutes from the airport. Welcoming hosts upon arrival and throughout stay. Clean, quiet and relaxing everything you wish for during your stay. The host kindly drove us to our pick up point in the nearest town. We would love to stay here again!
Pros: Free of charge delivery to airport early in the morning.
Pros: They were a lovely family who helped us out so much. They offered a shuttle to the bus station/airport. They were very nice and would definitely stay here again. We also had dinner that was fantastic.
Located in Lucciana, Les Jardins De La Madrague is in a rural location, a 5-minute drive from Borgo Golf Club and 9 minutes from La Marana Beach. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It is clean, big room, nice bathroom, comfortable beds. Very close to the airport.
Cons: There is no sign showing where the hotel is.
Pros: Close to the airport, very friendly host, calm, small terrace, nice breakfast with selfmade bread, cakes, pancakes etc. (Recommendation), host gave us a free ride to the airport.
Pros: Perfect last night, with pool, if you happen to have an early flight the next day. From here also a good starting point to all northern locations.
Pros: Friendly staff, nice swimming pool and perfect location to the airport. The air-conditioning was very much welcome during the hot weather. Due to early arrival to the hotel, we were able to drop off our luggage and enjoy the pool while staff is getting our room ready.
Cons: The room was slightly small for 3 people and some of the electric sockets was not functionning properly.
Pros: Slightly confusing to find - as the first hotel you see is the same family run hotel called De La Madrague…Les Jardins De La Madrague just round the next road. A very warm welcome from reception staff ( family member - grand daughter of original owner). Excellent parking area and well tended gardens and swimming pool. Large clean room with kettle. Restaurant at La Madrague - three minutes walk away is OK. Airport just three minutes by car. Recommended hotel for a night if arriving or departing airport.
Pros: Very clean, close to airport, fantastic friendly professional staff
Pros: Close to the airport.
Pros: Location near the airport was very convenient. Room was clean and nicely furnished. Buffet breakfast had a good choice & in particular the crepes that were freshly made for our table. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Cons: A fixed high level shower head would have been nice.
Pros: Very well located 3min from the airport. Nice location with garden and pool. Very big room and bathroom.
Cons: I would recommend to put a shower curtain and to change the hairdryer (too weak).
Pros: Beautiful room! Little private patio. The place was just beautiful all around and out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by lovely landscaping. Outdoor eating area. Pool.
Cons: I can't think of anything, to be honest.
Pros: Excellent location very close to the airport and on the beach. Very comfortable bed. Fridge in the room and beach towels. Own outdoor garden area with garden furniture. Typical continental breakfast included in the price, which we ate while watching the sunrise over the sea. We were also very relieved not to be disturbed by aircraft noise.
Cons: The information provided on the booking.com website was incorrect. It stated that the restaurant closed on 15 September, whereas it actually closes on 15 October. We bought a picnic for dinner when we could have eaten at the hotel. The photo on booking.com included a kitchenette area with table and chairs, which our room did not have.
Pros: Great location , close to airport and on the beach. Nice individual terraced areas too. Friendly staff.
Pros: Beautiful place with spectacular view! I highly recommend bungalows with the sea view.
Pros: Property and close to the beach
Cons: Pool missing
Pros: Nice room and beach in front of the hotel
Cons: Staff not very welcoming, no help on the transfer from the airport. We had to pay 25€ the taxi for 5 minutes drive
Pros: Warm and Kind staffs
Pros: Well located clean in direct front of the sea! Beautiful room with lovely persons. We really enjoyed our stay

The nearest airport is Bastia - Poretta Airport, 64 km from the accommodation.
Pros: Location, views, building architecture
Pros: This hotel is located in an old monastery and we actually stayed in a converted monks cell,so the facilities were fairly basic, but the building was very atmospheric. The village itself was charming, with a lovely old church and a decent restaurant close by.
Cons: The WiFi signal was very weak.

Pros: Very convenient
Cons: Book early to get a table at the adjoining restaurant
Pros: Great place to stay when you have an early flight.
Pros: Great location for airport and friendly staff. Restaurant next door was fantastic.
Cons: Nothing everything was great.
Cons: Only complaint - No facilities in the room to make a hot drink.
Pros: Proximity to the Bastia airport. Clean and spacious room and bathroom.
Cons: There isn’t a shuttle service to the airport and the taxi was outrageously expensive! Eur 20 for 1.1 km drive!
Pros: Good place near the airport. Parking inside areal of the hotel. A small outside pool. A big bathroom.
Cons: There were many disturbing sounds in the room. The noise from the room above us. The noise from outside. Soundproofing of the room could be better.
Pros: The location

Pros: Thé room
Cons: The staff
Pros: Well located if you want to stay close to the airport. Pleasant business hotel and all what we needed for one night.
Cons: The premisses need a bit of maintenance.
Pros: The room was comfy and provided the calm needed after a long day of travelling, and the staff were lovely. Welcoming, friendly and helpful, even helping me to return to the airport. It was a nic experience :)
Pros: The complimentary breakfast was great! We booked this last-minute after our flight got cancelled. The staff were very friendly and even helped us book a cab for pickup the next morning.
Cons: The mattress was a bit worn in the middle, and the shower was awkward (very narrow, with the handle in a bad position that resulted in being bumped toward cold too easily).
Pros: Nice room, bad bathroom (no shower curtain), very demotivated staff, not very friendly
Pros: Room clean and comfortable. Swimming pool is great with many deck chairs. The parking is quite big.
Cons: The building looks bad from the outside and needs renovation. On the balcony there was a burned pot for flowers without any flowers inside...I didn’t see a point of keeping it there...
Located in Lucciana, Hôtel Le Lido is by the sea, a 3-minute drive from La Marana Beach and 7 minutes from Church of Canonica. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very personable welcome
Cons: Only one bedside table
Pros: Excellent apartment at this lovely hotel. Very clean and the hotel owners are very friendly and courteous. Highly recommended :-)
Cons: Room too small for price, TV small
Pros: Receptionist was friendly.
Cons: While the location is indeed close to the airport I paid 40 EUR for the taxi from the train to the hotel and 20 EUR to the airport. So close to the airport only applies if you have a car. The area is extremely moscito prone and the room doesn't have moscito nets at the window. I arrived at 1930 and asked for the restaurant. Settled in the room and relaxed for a bit and then found the restaurant closed at 2100. Also obviously no more access to the pool. I then had to walk to a pizza truck 1.5 km away to at least get something for my stomach. Had to catch a flight at 8 so ordered a taxi for 645. Breakfast only available from 700 onwards so had breakfast at the airport (i.e. overpriced and not good) While I see that I could have learned about these things before - closing times e.g. are written in the description - I booked it in a haste and was just looking for a short stay before catching the flight the next day. The bathroom was so tiny that I had to lean to the left when I was sitting on the toilet so that my shoulder wasn't poked by the toilet paper holder. The surrounding is a dull residential area. Can't really find a reason why one would stay at this place. Not particularly cheep either.
Pros: Proximity to the airport. And pool area looks nice.
Cons: We are quite surprised by high ratings of this hotel, as rooms are very small and outdated. Bed was small and uncomfortable. Room looks clean though, however there were ants in the bathroom. Pool area is nice, but it get quite crowded during the day as it is open for outside visitors, too. And they close it very early, already at 7 pm (it was August and 30 degrees also after 7 pm). I guess because at the same time the dinner starts which is also visited mostly from outside guests. Hotel restaurant has also good reviews, so we ordered pizza there. What a disappointment! It was the worst and the most expensive pizza we had in Corsica. As they would buy frozen pizza in supermarket, heated it and sold with huge mark-up. Therefore we decided not to have dinner or breakfast there at all. What was the most disappointing was how impolite and unfriendly the staff was. A bit more effort and at least knowing some words in English would be expected as they work in tourism after all. Counting all together it was very unpleasant stay and we would not recommend this hotel for your vacation in Corsica.
Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: There were a lot of mosquitos in the room.
Pros: Friendly owners and staff, relaxed and small. Very convenient for airport.
Cons: It's a small hotel, near the beach but with not much else around. If you are after the bright lights then not the place.
Located in San-Martino-di-Lota, Hôtel La Corniche is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Plage de la Marine de Pietranera and Plage de Miomo. Featured amenities include express check-in and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Stunning view, amazing terrace, great food, nice swimming pool, Clean and comfortable rooms, Nice staff, in a very cute and pittoresque village. We really loved it and hope to be back.
Cons: We did not mind but one should know that The drive up the hill does take up to 20 min and parking can be tricky depending on the hour of arrival. It did not seem possible to have connecting rooms as well but it was ok in our case. No lift either, so could be tricky for people with disabilities.
Pros: You have a fantastic view from the hotel, and the food in the restaurant is very good.
Pros: The view from this hotel is wonderful and the terrace make a great location for breakfast.
Pros: The hotel was full of soul and charm. Clean and well kept with good food
Pros: Perfect. Fantastic location. Amazing views. Charming period hotel. Friendly staff. Helpful and polite. Food excellent. Lovely pool and beautiful gardens.
Pros: Amazing view. Do not miss the wonderful dinner very yummy
Pros: Beautiful place to stay - really surpassed my expectations, which were already moderately high. A couple of people have mentioned that the proprietor hung up the phone without saying goodbye - while that was indeed the case on my phone call to give our ETA, he was waiting for us on arrival with a smiling welcome and a parking space that he was keeping for us. As is obvious from the pictures, the view is phenomenal. Moreover, the staff are ace - welcoming, knowledgeable, professional and very courteous. Rooms were lovely, with very comfortable beds. Amenities were perfect - on-site restaurant, secluded pool, outdoor and indoor lounge areas, incredible terrace that you wish you never had to leave, walking distance to more restaurants - the pizza restaurant was great fun. Breakfast was delicious - tiny bit spendy but you get a lot of very delicious food. Fresh pastries (pain au chocolat, croissant), fabulous bread, homemade preserves, delicious meats and cheeses, good coffee, and all with the most spectacular panoramic view across the steep valley and out over the water... We only had breakfast on one of the mornings, but it was well worth it, and I regret not doing it again! Check-in and check-out were a total breeze. This place is a tight ship, very well-run, very respectable, very impressive - I'm so grateful to have had to chance to stay there.
Cons: I do wish that there was some moderate air conditioning in some of the warmer rooms - my room had a fan but even with the windows wide open at night, having kept the curtains and windows closed during the day to keep the heat out, there wasn't enough of a draft to actually draw the cool air in from outdoors. I'm pretty good with sleeping in the heat but ended up a bit too warm for 2/3 nights. Maybe should have had another digestif to send me to the Land of Nod.... I didn't say anything, though - I was VERY happy with the view from my window, and the nightly warmth wasn't (for me) enough of an intrusion on my enjoyment to warrant trying to change anything.
Pros: Excellent location with view to die for, beautiful terrace , excellent breakfast and restaurant - a must to dine there
Cons: More towels/ bigger size for showering would be nice
Pros: Nice breakfast and a nice pool area. The view from the terasse is spectacular.
Cons: We booked 2 room for 3 persons, but only one room had an air-condition - the other room had a fan. The rooms needs a little bit of a update. We stayed here in 2006 and I dont think the rooms have been renovaited since then. We also thought that the restaurant is good, but not fantastic (espesially compared to our previous stay).
With a stay at Hôtel La Lagune in Lucciana, you'll be by the sea, just steps from La Marana Beach and a 5-minute drive from Church of Canonica. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast was ok.
Cons: More yougurts (Greek yougurt p.e.)
Pros: Overall style and equipment of the hotel is really nice. We appreciated that the hotel is not big and it provides a family atmosphere. The garden is beautiful and the pool well arranged. The location is directly at the beach easily accessible. The long natural beach is fantastic.
Cons: We were travelling with 2 kids (4+8) and booked a family suite. However, the stairs are very steep and difficult to climb for a < 4 years hold child. Furthermore, we were facing the parking area. Thus, we changed the rooms and ended up 4 in a normal room but facing the garden (finally the hotel tried to accomodate all our wishes). The hotel certainly offers some quieter areas / rooms but ours was in the middle and you hear a lot of noise from other guests passing by / doors closing. The breakfast was of good quality but not really offering lots of variety for a 4 star hotel.
Pros: New, modern, well-designed
Cons: Dishes in the kitchen were not clean enough. The stairs in the family rooms were too steep that it can be dangerous for children. Children beds were a bit too hard
Pros: Staff was helpful, the beach is near.
Cons: The mountain view is parking place view! Conditioner is very noisy. Cupboard doors didn't work. It is 3 star hotel, like was written on hotel room key card, not 4star, like booking.com says.
Pros: The setting and hotel are all beautiful. We really enjoyed the spa as well.
Pros: Breakfast was really good, delicious daily fresh products/fruits and also fresh baked baguettes ! The staff was very kind, smiling and friendly. Hotel is easy to reach from the airport! There is enough parking lots for who comes with the car.
Cons: Internet connection was poor! Hotel was nice but if you want a clear blue sea, I would recommend the south or north-west part of the island.
Pros: Good area around pool, close to the airport and a beach
Cons: I would expect much more from a 4* hotel in all regards. The conditioner was disgustfully dirty and did not work (switched off shortly). There were ants in the toilet. The pool is too small for so many people.
The Hotel Castellu is located in Lucciana, 10 km south of Bastia and 2.5 km from Bastia-Poretta International Airport. If features gardens and is only a 15-minute drive from the sea. Free WiFi is available in public areas. Rooms at Hotel Castellu are offer balconies and are air conditioned with a satellite TV. Each room has a private bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet. The property is 25 kilometres from Saint-Florent and a 45-minute drive from Corte. Free private parking is available on site.
Pros: It is closer to an airport hostel than a hotel. Understaffed, only one employee serving two properties at the same time.
Cons: Very expensive for the type of hotel.
Pros: It was clean and staff were friendly. Rooms were a good size and although there is a little confusion about the address (there are 2 Castellus - this one and another a few metres up the street which is a lot more luxury) they do offer you access to the restaurant for dinner or breakfast, and use of the pool at the other property which is great
Cons: We had a room near the lift which was a little noisy, and were a little disappointed to drive up to one Castellu hotel and be directed to another!
Pros: Location for the airport - very easy short commute. Nice breakfast. Big room and bathroom. Good air con. Free wifi.
Cons: It was a bit soulless- bare walls and long glum corridors, needed a lick of paint and a few pictures.
Pros: The hotel room was clean, the balcony it is super, the staff is very friendly, and it has great value for money, we were very satisfied about it, we were driving everyday around the island
Cons: it was smeling a bit of old in reception and was no fridge in the room, the room it is a bit small
Pros: Big parking place, elevator!
Cons: Missing fridge, more towel hooks
Pros: They were willing to check us in after midnight.
Cons: The location is only acceptable by car. Taxi from Bastia Port costs around 60€.
Pros: Very clean and near the airport Poretta
Pros: Room clean, convenient location (near the airport), friendly staff.
Pros: We stayed at Castellu prior to catching our flight home. Very convenient for the airport, comfortable, clean and the staff were friendly . Would recommend.
When you stay at Hôtel Spa La Madrague in Lucciana, you'll be near the airport, within a 5-minute drive of Church of Canonica and Borgo Golf Club. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Event facilities at this hotel consist of a conference center and a meeting room. A roundtrip airport shuttle and a train station pick-up service are supplied at no charge.
Pros: After dropping off our rental car, a staff member came to pick us up in 5 mins. Then, the next morning at 5:45 AM, another staff member brought us back to the airport. Both staff members were very pleasant. The pool looked inviting, but we arrived too late to take a swim.
Cons: The room showed some wear; peeling paint.
Pros: The garden
Cons: Bed very uncomfortable, toilet and bathroom not very clean. Swimming pool close at 7 and the Spa too, which should stay open longer. The resort three stars is beautiful outdoor but very old rooms and facilities very poor. No fridge in the room neither.
Pros: The hotel looks good from the foyer and outside swimming area, plus it has a nice garden however, there is a lot of salt damp on the passage walls and water could be heard dripping. Really needs an upgrade and in my view didn't represent what is shown on the accommodation site. The view out the back was not a pretty sight. The hotel served it's purpose being close to the airport and provided a shuttle service. Dinner was good and breakfast not an option as I had to leave early. No idea of whether it is a safe area or not.
Cons: A dowdy room. Rather depressing. No where to go as hotel was situated well away from anything hence no opportunity to try another restaurant or see the town.
Pros: Close to airport and personal attitude
Pros: Very good restaurant
Pros: The pool which I could not use.
Cons: This place was like Faulty Towers on TV. Waiter was the reception/ driver/cook.......???? The cook served RAW meat on my burger. I highlighted this to a lady working there and her eyes went big once I showed her the complete raw meat patty. Waiter could not speak English. We waited to be served for an extremely long time. Other customers had concerns with their desserts, think they found plastic in their ice cream. We tried to stay positive without complaining further. Place was extremely dirty in the hotel, window ledges, carpets, the list goes on. Bed was terrible, rolled to the centre with partner. Room terribly small. Bathroom terribly small. Toilet was soo small. This was separate to the bathroom/ shower. The list goes on..... We asked for a pick up from airport but eventually we walked to the hotel. This place was terrible. Only positive was that it was close to the airport+- 900 meters. 3 star disaster compared to all our other bookings. Over priced. Definitely will not stay here again.. Rather book further away from the airport.
Pros: Great swimming pool and great restaurant

With a stay at Hôtel Isola in Borgo, you'll be on the waterfront, within a 15-minute drive of Bastia Vieux Port Marina and La Marana Beach. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Proximity to the airport
Cons: This is a coach tour hotel and not set up to cater for independent travellers. There was only a tour menu on offer in the restaurant. Breakfast was simply perfunctory. The rooms are extremely basic with only one plug socket. The lights looked like fire escape lighting, zero ambience. There was a dirty mark on the tiny pillows. The towels were ancient, rough, tiny & grey. No in room tea and coffee facilities and no toiletries. Worst of all there was NO HOT WATER from when we arrived to check out. We asked for a partial refund -not been forthcoming so far.
Pros: The swimming-pool is a must and the staff very welcoming!
Cons: The rooms are a bit dated!
Pros: Extremely friendly personal... Everything is possible and there are no problems with transport into the Bastia city center ;) Thank You!
Pros: Pool very nice and clean Sea was very close and the beach is really nice
Cons: Room was of quite dated design Breakfast selection was rather uninspiring and dull Cost an extra 55€ to accommodate our 3 year old in the same room In the on-site restaurant staff was not really attentive, the food was good though (but nothing special) Wifi was barely working, poor mobile phone reception as well
Pros: excellent location & beautiful pool with close proximity to a tranquil beach.
Cons: terrible wi fi absolutely no connection in the room. No toiletries & no tea-coffee maker. pathetic buffet breakfast & first time not finding egg scramble or boiled egg in the menu . least bothered staffs...
Pros: The moment we left is what I liked most.
Cons: 101 awful aspects. Nothing that I actually liked. F.e. After order was taken in restaurant zero attention. One hour after dinner plates still on table and so on. Room worse than a student room. Old, very old, dirty and zero comfort. No shower, no wifi, no safe, nothing. Room rate would have been acceptable at 70 euro’s a night, but not at 170 euro’s. Nightmare. Worst of all: OUR ROOM WAS LEFT OPEN AFTER CLEANING (WHEN WE CAME HOME AFTER A DAY TRIP AND DINNER). WHEN I WENT TO RECEPTION TO MENTION IT, WOMAN/RECEPTIONIST MENTIONED THAT IT WAS UNACCEPTABLE AND GAVE ME THE IMPRESSION THAT IT IS AN OFTEN MADE MISTAKE BY HOUSEKEEPING, BUT DID NOTHING TO SMOOTH MY FEELINGS OF DISCOMFORT. Stayed in many many hotels all over the world, but never had such a bad experience.
Pros: The outdoor area and the swimming pool Convinient location for airport
Cons: The breakfast and restaurant food are really not great Not the best beach to Corsican standards overall a bit too pricey for the experience

Pros: Location to airport
Cons: Room was dated and needed a serious make over
Pros: Staff, location, price and Portuguese restaurant next door.
Cons: It fitted our purpose which was an overnight near the airport. Yes, it is an older property but it was clean and staff were great. Parking adiquate but limited.
Pros: Staff was very helpful, the room was very large. While it looks a bit low key from outside, it is very nice inside. Half an hour from the port in Bastia
Cons: Price could be a few euros less
Pros: Good value, friendly staff, convenient location
Cons: Breakfast was overpriced The restaurant beside the hotel is to be avoided, we were almost overcharged. Only a careful look at the receipt saved us
