They tried to steal my luggage when I first came in, took them over 4 hours to bring my stuff up. I said enough of this bs and went to go down myself and get all my stuff to find it hiding in a room away from everyone else while the guy at the front was telling me "it'll be there shortly were a little backed up". Then to top it all off I find $35 of charges from the hotel of stuff I never used. I've never been so disrespected by a hotel in my life. Shady workers I highly recommend you don't stay here.
Friendly accommodating staff. Great location, beautiful facility. The observatory level was cool, but packed, so much so we didn't stay to enjoy the view. I would recommend to a friend.
Disappointed that I reserved a room with a larger bed and due to room availability we were moved to a double, which my wife and I were unable to share. We're by no means large people. It would have been nice to be able to park or rental without being charged extra, but that seems to be a norm in the city.
Everything else was great
Price for parking
They were accommodating and nice
Great staff, beautiful hotel, good location
Very clean my friendly atmosphere.
A little crazy with the convention there!
I liked that we you are in Union Square which is central to really everything especially if you're a tourist. The hotel is right next to the mall and some good resteraunts. We were there when th agitate were playing the Royals during the 2014 World Series which was awesome. As a Giants fan it was great to see all the orange and black in the city. The lounge upstairs shows a great 360 view of the city and is great place to start the night and grab some drinks.
I was charged twice for my stay. I originally was charged through Kayak and a 3rd party website which was fine. But then The Marriott unknowingly charged me again. I found out after our stay and it was a real inconvenience but was resolved within about a week. Other than that everything was great, just hoping it doesn't happen to anyone else or me again using Kayak.
Lots of people in the bar. The hotel is maze-like. Staff was friendly.
There was in unwanted and unneeded cot in our bed. There was a church bell that rang 15 times at both 7 and 8 am. the wall art was dorky. No fan in the bathroom. There was a cottage cheese cieling. But the bed was super comfy. The hotel was fine but way too expensive for what we got.
If you're looking for convenience and a great location with amazing customer service, pay the extra cash and stay at the the Marriott Marquis. The convenience and hospitality here was amazing. I felt like I was treated like a VIP while staying in a basic room. Housekeeping was gracious, and welcoming coming and going every single day. Anytime I needed the smallest of things they were delivered promptly (toothpaste, towels, silverware, soaps, etc). I needed some mail delivered, they took it for me. Anytime my girlfriend and I needed directions or suggestions on great places to go the information desk were our saviors. VERY knowledgeable about the entirety of San Fran. The 55th floor bar has a great view of the city, the bartender was also great. There is a little convenient store as well as Starbucks located on the main floor for convenience. Great hotel!
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. It was a great location and very close to all the hot spots within the city.
Vallet costs a lot! Also, no free WiFi in the rooms.
Everything was great
Room service selection and food quality were mediocre.
