NICE LOCATION AND VERY KINDNESS HOTEL. THEY GAVE US SUCH A NICE STAYING IN URBINO.
Very central in Urbino. Handy to visit all the city centre.
It location wa its only true virtue. Internal restoration wa to maximize the nubmer of rooms and not with any view of keeping the heritage of the build. I booked iwth American Express and when I go there they infomred me that they did not take AMEX and I needed another card. Not a good policy and I may hav chosedn another hotel as I prefer AMEX.
excellent position and beautiful rooms, quiet and clean. The whole building, resting on top of a narrow historical street (yet in the very hearth of urbino), has a timeless fascination
The walk from the parking to the hotel was quite treacherous in the snow but well worth it when we saw our view from the room: Tuscan countryside and the lit up Ducal Palace. Gorgeous! Especially at sunrise. The breakfast was fine and the location was perfect. Right in the heart of it all.
The hotel proved to be a challenge to access. I went on foot up two steep narrow lanes whilst my husband waited in the car. When I explained our predicament, the proprietor kindly offered to come with me back to the car and to drive our car for us - not a huge distance but it was up very steep hills on cobbled streets and involved disobeying road signs - which appeared to be part of the Italian psyche but was alien to us law-abiding Brits! With luggage deposited we were driven to park the car some distance away. Excellent location for visiting the wonderful old town, just need more precise directions. Ideally, directions of where to park the car outside the old town walls and some arrangement to collect guests and luggage from there. Room provided contained only a standard double bed when we had requested twins. We were told that another room was available with two beds but it did not have a view - indeed it did not, dark, gloomy and looking onto blank wall of adjacent property. The room we had did have a view, or rather half a view over the rooftops towards the basilica, because one of the metal shutters was stuck and could not be opened. Breakfast was very limited and unappetising.
amazing view, helpful gracious staff, excellent breakfast, harmony with town setting. if you have access issues, visiting Urbino is difficult, hotel shares this difficulty, would be hard for someone of limited mobility, but this would be true for anyone moving within Urbino.
The location was in the heart of Urbino, close to the sights and cafes and an easy walk downhill to the main bus terminal.
very nice hotel. completely new structure enclosed in an ancient building.very clean and modern. wonderful views of the town from our window. staff expert, friendly and attentive. no
Handy to Urbino sights. Pleasant atmostphere. Helpful staff. Quite nice breakfast. Good views from rooms. Difficult to access.
Very reasonable price. Friendly staff. The room's décor and furniture seemed to lack any style or co-ordination. A total redecoration is needed.
It should be highlighted that the hotel was not central to the city, although there is a regular bus service (every 20 minutes) it added time and money on staying at the hotel. Breakfast is not included in the price.
hotel owner and manager and his wife so unusually helpful, for example guiding you from the other end of town to the parking lot with their own car; excellent breakfast included in room price, served personally by the boss in a little cozy room; room where we stayed located in ground floor annex, with its own little garden in a pretty courtyard.
Very comfortable, with first-rate service. Location within old city walls made for a great atmosphere, (and pleasant walks nearby). Parking is a little inconvenient.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. overall very comfortable.
Nice and quiet location on the city walls, beautiful panoramic view, good service and free parking. Really peaceful stay.
They were very accomodating to my needs, and were genuinely friendly.
room and outlook very pleasant, staff excellent no
Great location, air con Our room was street level so opening windows was out, plumbing is noisy, and on one occasion there was a lot of noise early in the morning
Close to all city-attractions. Parking in front of the hotel no problem.
Our room was a little small, but we had all we needed. The individual air-conditioner of the room was much appreciated as it cut out noise from the usual ventilation of most hotels. Staff were excellent and we had a good evening meal at a very reasonable price. A bit of refurbishment wouldn't go amiss.
Beautiful and tranquil hotel, family suite next to the panoramic terrace, lovely garden for breakfast, really helpful staff. Nothing
Excellent location, very friendly staff. Swimming in the cute swimming pool under hot tuscany sun was very relaxing.
Quiet.Pleasant staff.Good base for touring For a week stay, menu is limited.caters for business conferences;weddings etc. This does not mix with vacation
Cuisine was superb. Location, views from the terrace and comfort of facilities was very good indeed. Highly recommended.
It was great. The food was unbelievable. The staff was helpfull, courteous, and fun.Itis quiet and a great place to recharge.
The staff is kind, the SPA facilities are quite small but nice. The Hotel has renewable energies use like photovoltaics and geothermal. Poor choices for breakfast, lack of soundproof in the rooms (you hear many noices from outside).
Massages at wellness facility Restaurant food. Too hot in room.
Peaceful quite calm countryside hotel, excellent services, helpful staff
Beautifull room. Excellent beds! Attractive and complete spa. Really nice personnel. Restaurant very good. Environment quiet and lovely. It's been a real pleasure staying here.
The 'Day Rate' only for the Spa was to high and only a Day Rate offered not by the hour etc...
Easy to park and located in a very nice area Probably a misunderstanding in the classification and target of this hotel (never use it as a business hotel). It is not more than a 2 star hotel. I arrived a bit before midnight after a long trip and I was told I was very lucky since the hotel was a about to close. Amazing for a 4 star hotel. They could have for instance called me since I booked with a credit card.
Good or walking the dog! Breakfast consisted of lots of cakes and sweet biscuits. No fresh bread or plain croissants. Coffee came by the cup and we were not offered a jug of coffee.
Location, friendly staff, character of building
Central position in the old city of Urbino More parking space
This was a decent hotel, not especially nice. The rooms were adequate and the parking was protected. It was located a short walk from the main square, which was convenient. There was no hot water and we could not take a shower. When we arrived, teh hotel staff told us that the hot water was being fixed and to "be patient". The hot water was never fixed. They never fixed it and we had noon. I think they should hav arranged another hotel for us, and not put us into a hotel they knew had no hot water. Also, they charged extra for everything--breakfast and parking were not included, and should have been in this type of hotel/ But the thing I liked least was the absence of a decent bar in teh hotel and the fact that they misled us about the hot water.
Ideally situated in centre of town good parking which reflects in the higher price but believe cost should include cost of parking and breakfast. Rooms large and very comfortable and clean. extra cost for parking and breakfast not included
The location was fantastic, right across from the Palazzo Ducale. The room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was huge. The parking was convenient. The view was of the old courtyard but it was the parking lot so not attractive.
The Hotel location was ideal wirh all places of interest withion easy walking distance. Car parking was good and safe and reasonable. The one difficulty was a lack of hot water in the early evening and management needs to look into this.
We were given a room on a low floor with little light. There were no other rooms available because a tour group had booked a large part of the hotel. However, our reservation was before the group. We felt that we had been pushed aside.
The location is excellent, across the square from the Palazzo Ducale. Parking was a bit tight but quite necessary in Urbino. Hard to believe in a hotel which claims to be a high-quality property, but there was no hot water for two days.
Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Excellent location. Difficulty of finding car access to it (not their fault!). Perfectly fine once found.
The hotel is very well located in the middle of Urbino, right opposite the ducal palace. The rooms are large and comfortable. The reception staff are really good and friendly - getting my wife a doctor's appointment. Another client had their locked car fixed whilst we were there. Breakfasts are rather expensive, but there are good cafes nearby.
The staff is very kind and helpfull
It is set in a beautiful location. It is in a good location for driving to many sight seeing locations. A car is reccomended. All the staff were kind and understanding. Great swimming pool and internet facility. No. They even cooked us a choice of food that was not on the menu.Excellent cuisine.10/10.Breakfast great choice and value for money.
Very friendly staff and very tolerant of young children- facilities very family friendly. Aircon too noisy
I liked our stay very much: very nice swimming pool, good food and wifi free.
Good-sized pool. Helpful staff. The room was exactly what we wanted being a family of four sharing one room.
Staff dealt with an non-working toilet very quickly hotel was a bit out of town so required a car etc.
Location for Urbino visits. Air con rooms that were clean and tidy. Friendly staff All fine
wonderful staff, great breakfast, perfect location and pool. very low price for all of the above.
The dinner food in the restaurant was much better than could reasonably be expected for the type of hotel - but it was not cheap. A 'bar snack' menu would have been more appropriate. The breakfasts were expensive and quite poor - especially the coffee which was well below expectations. Selections ran out and were only replenished reluctantly when asked.
Comfortable rooms and friendly and helpful staff
Good quality hotel with high standard of finishes. Upgraded to room with super countryside view because we stayed for 7 nights! Limited external facilities - no swimming pool and only a very small terrace, requiring a clean up before the main season started. Similar condition of gardens and drive. Clean up had been delayed by previous bad weather.
the room is quite comfortable, bathroom is spacious, room is well equipped. Free wi-fi in lower level and free computer/internet as well. Always ask for a front, country-view room. Staff is very courteous. Overall the best hotel in Urbino, I/my family have stayed in most of them. Bring your soap, theirs is a miniature! Limited TV channels (in English)
luxury for low price
Great staff, lovely location, convenient bus at door.
The room was clean; the buffet breakfast. It was very difficult to open the window of the room.
they were kind and warm. perfect nothing, really
It's a very good hotel, with friendly and obliging staff. I would recommend it highly.
They provide me the a large range of daily newspapers the room was a little bit too warm
Easy access by car, Comfortable room ,bed and bathroom both good. Good breakfast. Nice views over valley
Easy access, safe and free parking facilities, spectacular views, pleasant and helpful staff. The adverised free wi-fi internet wasn't available
The staff was very polite and helpful. The food was good, although the breakfast was not continental. The price is excellent. The bathroom had a weird smell, even though I believe it was just a case.
The best location of any of the budget priced hotels in Urbino. Not fancy, but sufficient for a short stay. The bathroom was small and both light bulbs were missing from the bathroom mirror, but the shower was hot and strong. The front rooms are along a street and can be noisy.
Old town of Urbino. Elevators are small.
proximity, price small elevator, plastic cups instead of glass in the bathtub
bargain price, near main streets and very quiet place breakfast is advertised but you have to pay separately for the bar
The room was quite large and the service quite good. It takes 5' by bus to get in town (there are buses until midnight) and staff is nice. No problems with the parking space. The lack of WiFi in the room. Walking distance from the centre is 25'-30', which, I think, does not fit everyone.
the staff was very friendly
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good with plenty of choice. The views over the surrounding area were fantastic. The pool was quiet with plenty of shade in morning and late afternoon. Lots of places to visit in local area. The reception and bar area of the hotel needed to be updated and cleaned more thoroughly as let down rest of hotel. This area had great views but these were not used to their advantage.
Quiet location and nice friendy helpful staff. Slightly tired decor in room.
Beautiful setting in green hills. Nice and very quiet. Can only be reached by car.
A lovely family run hotel, wonderful views all around, excellent location for visiting Urbino and exploring its beautyful countryside. We hope to return once again... Sara, Cesare and Carlo, tante grazie!
Clean and comfortable The information suggested that there was a swimming pool rather than an inside spa
Extremely enjoyable, terrific views all around, very friendly staff, relaxing and comfortable rooms. Strongly recommended!
A lovely family run business which gives it a personal touch - excellent accommodation with peaceful views across the hills - small, intimate, great location for visiting Urbino and the surrounds. Beautiful spa facility. Highly recommend.
We were given a very warm welcome from this family run hotel. The buildings and rooms were delightful and fitted with every modern convenience. The views from our room and from the breakfast area were stunning and the continental breakfast was excellent. Well worth a visit and I'm sure we will use this hotel again. Unfortunately there is no restaurant so a short drive into Urbino is needed for dinner.
Trying to find the hotel at night is difficult as the sign is not well lit.
The welcome, the breakfast was very good and overall a lovely small hotel. An evening meal option would have been nice as town 2 km away.
Position near Urbino, nice little room, excellent view. There is no lobby, poor rendering of services, the room wasn't clean enough.
Ideally located just outside Urbino, the hotel offers pleasant rooms and good service. The extensive breakfast on the terrace, with a view on the 'green hills', is a perfect way to start a day.
