It was quiet out of season and the pool was nice. One of the hotel workers came and got us from the train station as there was no taxis in Magione anywhere to be found! The bar and shop were only open in the morning and was stocked poorly as it was at the end of the season. This hotel is also pretty difficult to get to if you don't have a car,
good views of the lake, but access to the beach and lakeside would have made it so much better. None of the facilities advertised were open for use. The rooms were used by smokers - and therefore curtains & beds smelled of old smoke.
Hospitality of staff was good, location and views on the landscape are gorgious, breakfast and dinner are typical rural as is the accommodation reflecting the good italian life.In a 16th centuary building ther are always some minor things which is well managed by helpful staf.
This hotel was an oasis of peace in a beautiful setting. The staff were friendly and accomodating, the room was lovely, the food was amazing and I would definitely stay there again. Just one teeny quibble was that there were no comfortable chairs to sit in in our suite accomodation. This is probably to do with the authentic styling of the farmhouse, so I can understand why, but we had to bring pillows in from the bed to place on the hard wood chairs...
It was one of the most wonderfull places we have ever being to. The place is heaven!!! Everything was grate! The friandly wellcome, the food, the rooms...fantastic!
Good quality food, very friendly staff, child friendly and nice rooms
This is a peaceful and tranquil hotel, in the most beautiful of setting, away from the madding crowd. Superb dinner, using local fresh ingredients, was memorably cooked by a real italian grandmother. Definitely worth a return visit.
General 'ambience' - a lovely quiet location. Francesco and Sylvie and the staff were excellent, and the food was great.
Amazing views, very friendly staff.
Brilliant view, relaxing location once you find the place. We had a junior suite "January" which was very comfortable and relaxing. Lovely four poster bed and authentic feel, Breakfast was also nice although selection was not huge. We had dinner in the restaurant on the 2 nights that we stayed. We enjoyed the food and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The complex is situated in a huge ground with lovely olive trees. Has free internet connection, Very difficult to find and quite a poor road condition. Glad we had a hire car! Sat nav will not find the place and we had to ask some people and wasted approx 1hr 30 mins trying to find the place
nothing not to our expectation and to espensive
Clean, spacious, great views Only one british tv channel, around 30 german ones!
The rooms, the gardens, the Management No
rooms and service very overpriced. Not very geared for children.
Good facilities and a nice swimming pool. Very friendly reception. Narrow single beds - suitable better for kids. A hawk was making squeezy noices early in the morning for a looooong time...
Great location Very quiet not the sites fault the season just hadn't started yet
close to Toskana and Umbria aller than expected, they take 100 € deposit which is returned if the mobilhome is clean and complete
The swimming pool was great for the kids, although in September very cold. Having your own little garden was nice. The shop was not well stocked. Some of the play ground for the children was broken, the restaurant looked unappertising. The caravans were very basic and old. you cannot fit a travel cot in any of the rooms.
