Great Hotel. Great location. Outstanding breakfast and dinner dining room. Exceeded my expectations!
The castle and its surroundings are breath taking - a must see / do!
Lovely views and in spectacular historic setting. Excellant menu catering for vegetarians. Very good breakfast selection.
The best thing about the Parador in Cardona is the experiece of staying in a Castle and have amazing views from any part of the hotel. Friendly staff. Excelent food, both on dinner and breakfast.
Fantastic location on top of a hill overlooking all the countryside. Large bedrooms with large marble bathrooms. Tasty food in the restaurants always served with a smile. Huge breakfast choice. The walk down to the village in 38 degree heat. Very steep and hot. But can't realy fault the hotel for that.
Loved staying in the restored castle on top of a hill with wonderful views of the countryside. Could even view the Montserrat mountains from there!
The location was spectacular and the hotel was very nice. Their WiFi was not working
The ambiance and historical context of staying in a "castle" with a history of over a thousand years is a magical opportunity. The place is like a fantasy-come-true. None
Its the 6th Parador that I've stayed in and 8th that I've visited. I felt completely overwhelved by the setting of the Parador within a historic building that appeared to have been carefully restored with absolutely no compromise to creature comforts and great service. I enjoyed classy accommodation that was unique to Spain that totally satisfies international standards. It motivates me to want to stay in all 93 of Spain's Paradors.
Unique location in a historic castle, set on top of a hill with wonderful views. Our room had a 4 poster bed with a view of the old courtyard.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location with nearby street parking. Very nice room. Good breakfasts with plenty of fresh fruit.
Excellent service & help. Restuarant recommendation [very near] was taken up and really enjoyed at a reasonable price for the meal with with a quality wine. Quiet, comfortable room and bed.Breakfast was very good.Nothing was too much trouble. parking in locked garage was secure & excellent but maybe expensive at €9 for a night [€5/6 would be encouraging].
This is a lovely hotel. Joan and Anselm, the two brothers who run it, could not be more helpful. Helped us park our car, told us good local places to eat, advised us on attractions around the region (of which there are plenty). The rooms and decor are great, breakfast was terrific (quality examples of local fare). Anselm and Joan are happy to have a good chat as well (in French or Spanish. We would highly recommend it.
The hotel is expensive, small, but well situated in the town where there is little choice of hotel. Hotel offers good rooms and a common room. Staff were very helpful and we had a bit of an emergency.
Small chic hotel, in small town, not touristy.Lovely countryside not far away.
Nice atmosphere, good design and good service with personal approach.
Quality of room, free internet in room No hotel restaurant on monday and every restaurant in the town closed on mondays - we had to travel miles to find anything at all!
Very helpful reception, with good English. Easy access/parking in Cardona once discovered. Nice lounge & terrace on 4th floor. Poor description on website on how to find hotel & where to initially park. No breakfast menu. Some restaurant dishes disappointing.
excellent town centre location, good parking very close, hotel modern and stylish in an old building, facilities excellent restaurant closed at the time of our visit but this was simply unfortunate -- menu and prices looked interesting
Everything, could be difficult to improve n any way
The hotel is very well located in the center of the old city and not far from the castle. It is an older building, but very well maintained, and decorated with style and good taste. The young staff is very friendly. Internet worked well. Breakfast was good. Parking is the only problem. The entry of the hotel is on a pedestrian street, there is a parking in the back street, but no access door to that street, so one needs to walk around the block. Also, that is a public parking and not a very big one. We found one of the last two or three parking places, but soon the parking was full and I do not know what other options exist in a busy old city with narrow streets.
