breakfast was not that nice but hey, I am picky :-)
the views over the sea and Monte Casino castle !
Location on a pretty bay just outside of the charming city of Angra Do Heroismo. Good facilities and impressive spacious reception area. Beds slightly damp and room had not been aired. A little lacking in character and rather touristy.
Friendly staff, nice breakfast and easy check-in The rooms were nice but the beds were not comfortable, at all.
Excellent is the keyword!!! Excellent customer service, excellent food, and an excellent room. A truly delightful stay!!!
The outdoor pool is great for kids and all rooms face the sea. Nothing to point out. All very acceptable!
it is nice and has a beautiful view
Hotel stay was great! Room was very clean and breakfast was fantastic!
Evening treats, loved the quejada! I looked forward to it. Front desk gentleman too stuffy. no smiles, not approachable.
quietness and dicretion nothing
Very central in Angra if you are going for the city No outside swimming pool
Breakfast: EXcelent Counter service poor room very poor air conditioner: room not confortable
The staff was especially nice, and the location was great! I would certainly return for more stays at Angra Garden Hotel.
location was very convenient local phone calls were outrageously expensive compared to all other hotels in the azores
Very good location. Parking available in front. Some of the staff were very helpful, and would even come with me (in Portuguese style) to show me where something was located on the grounds. Internet did not work, very slow and unusable. Check in and out was tedious and very slow. Not enough staff and too slow.
Nice ocean view, frendly stuff, not far from center of Angra, good breakfasts. Sometimes it was not clean enough after cleaning service. And furniture in rooms is rather old and better to be changed. Not enough parking places for cars.
staff, we were able to ckeck in early was not cleaned properly when we checked in (garbage not emptied and hair in the tub), maid service the next day was not done until 4:00 pm
friendlyness of staff, location, facilities
The room was great, very accomodating, spacious and user friendly. The complimentary breakfast was limited.
The view The pillows
Booking was upgraded to a suite, which was very nice. The dinner-buffet. The a-la-carte food was much better.
The hotel has a beautiful site. The sea view from the balconies is excellent. The swimming in the "Porto da Silveira" is very nice The hotel is a bit far from the city center. It should have a free shuttle bus to take the guests to the city.
wife signal too weak
Wonderful location. Set in a 15th century fortress the history of the island is delivered to your door like a daily newspaper. Incredible views. Convenient to Angra. Friendly and helpful staff. Pool was wonderful (except maybe for the tourists visiting the fort who had to view me in swimsuit!). Aspects of fort well preserved (tunnels to seafront cliffs) made up for the mixed reservations I had about staying in a modern hotel in an historic site. Hotel is beautifully modern - granite and pine, and chenille blankets and pillows. Every room has a balcony with a view of the property and sea. Only thing I would change is the dining hours. Breakfast from 7.30am and dinner from 7.30pm leaves early birds scrambling. I like an early breakfast, but it slowed me down. Couldn't find a restaurant in Angra open for dinner before 7pm so I guess it's a local phenomenon.
The hotel is incorporated into a 14c fort overlooking the ocean. Very intriguing, with lots to discover. The village is right next to the fort, and has many little shops and cafes to explore. Just past the village are walking trails through the hillside forests and farmlands. There is also a golf course nearby, fun to play, very relaxed atmosphere.
Amazing history of the castle and beautiful hotel added to it. It is peaceful with fresh ocean air and gorgeous sea views. First rate stay. Free breakfast is really good- eggs, meats, breads, cheeses, fruit, danish, yogurt, cereals, juices. The bed was a bit firm.
Fantastic views over the sea from our room, walking around the battlements of the castle, the peace and quiet within the hotel and the slight distance from the noise of the town. The decor and architecture and sympathetic way the hotel was built into the ruins of the castle made it a really good experience. No
For a two star hotel, this is a great place. The hotel was clean. The room was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. And the price was great. This hotel meet my needs and expectations. Only complaint was the pillows. The pillows were very thin.
