10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great time in casa rural portana. Nice people, and the diner and breakfast was Great. Quite close with the Car to Jaca were we visited the castle, city and swom in the river.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful setting gave us a good chance to unwind from our travels. Javi and Gemma shared their home with us and provided some of the best food we have had so far!We only spoke a little Spanish and they a little English, but it worked!!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A centuries-old stone house in a tiny village a few minutes outside of Jaca. The interior has been completely rebuilt - everything is clean and comfortable. Nice quiet bedrooms, and a large living/dining room where Gemma and Javi treat you just like family. They will make you a very nice breakfast and dinner if you ask, including vegetables from their garden and fresh eggs from their 3 chickens. I wish I could have stayed longer.
Casa Alaman - Centenero - Bedroom
2
9.8 Excellent (46 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing! A beautiful property, owned and operated by lovely people, it's been the highlight of our month in Northern Spain. You absolute MUST stay for dinner, it's delicious and prepared and delivered with style. As you relax at the pool, all you hear is the beautiful sound of nature, with not a man made sound to be heard, magnificent. The location is remote and that's what makes it so special. In the final 1km approach you start to think you're lost, and when you reach the property the rustic exterior hides the sophisticated style that lies beyond. Prepare to be "wowed". Casa Alaman is a perfect place to relax for a couple of days. And if you need a little excitement, rafting, kayaking and hydrospeeding are just 40 minutes away. To find fault with the property would be petty, because you can find fault with the best hotels.
Cons: We lived it all, finding fault would be petty.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The place is fabulous, the hosts very friendly and the decoration marvelous. I strongly recommend the meal in the evening, as Adrian is an amazing cook. Nearly everything was perfect and above our expectations and we really consider coming back as soon as we can :-)
Cons: As a swimmer (I swim 2.000m every day), I was a bit disappointed by the size of the swimming pool which is really small, but as it was not te purpose of our visit and as all the rest was so perfect, I really bear no grudge at all against our hosts about this. Just keep in mind that if you want to swim, there are probably other options nearby and this guest house definitely remains the best choice in the vicinity whatsoever :-)

Pros: The location was quite central and very near to bar and restaurant area. The hotel is in a quiet pedestrianized street and the room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and we were able to leave our bags in the reception area after checkout while we went for the car and a final drink before setting off. Checkout at noon instead of the more usual 11am was also very convenient.
Cons: Parking in the area around the hotel was impossible and the hotel garage was full as we had not booked in advance. However, although the hotel street is essentially a pedestrian precinct, it is possible to drive up part of it almost to the hotel door to unload bags or for people with mobility issues.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is in the most stunning of locations imaginable. The host was charming and was very helpful when we sought advice on day hikes. The rooms have all been so thoughtfully designed and finished, and every detail thought about. The breakfast was great too! There are limited food options in Santa Cruz, but everywhere we ate was very good food, service and value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The building and views.
Cons: The pool was not open.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really helpful owner, plenty of advice about the local area and options for things to do. I particularly appreciated him taking the time to explain the background to the yellow ribbons that were prevalent in the area when I was staying. The apartment itself is very clean and peaceful despite being close to the town centre. It was nice to have a couple of options for being outside (a small patio as well as the balcony).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, spectacular views, lovely hosts. The hotel is an experience a sort of log cabin with characterful features. breakfast was simple tasty and very fresh. The host was leading a walking tour on the day we were there he is as I understood a local person and i'm sure the tour would have been an insightful experience he was clearly proud of his region and home.
Cons: The restaurant down the road which we were directed to was very basic the food did not excite.
6.8 Good
Pros: A kind host, he was alone after an operation on his foot. The host tried hard!
Cons: The swimming pool was not meant for swimming, it was filthy. There was a gap between the photographs on the site and reality. It was not written that for the spa we have to book and to paid. We arrived after a day trip in the mountains and were very disappointed !!!!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing quirky hotel, good breakfast, very friendly hosts who looked after us in the evening and took us to "camping restaurant" a little way from village, it was brilliant with amazing menu.
Cons: Initial telephone contact difficult due to language barrier but soon sorted out. Loarre had no restaurants or bars open on a mid June evening!
5.8 Okay
Pros: It has its charm and a very nice garden. Breakfast was nice with bread, ham and yogurt with juice and coffee. Bed was very confortable but it was twin put together instead of a double bed.
Cons: It has lots of dust. The towels were smelling of dust. There was a lot of decoration items in the room and obviously they don’t clean it all since it would take the whole day. There was noone at the place so you have to call and someone needs to arrive to open the place and request payment by cash only. It was empty during the day, evening and in the morning with the breakfast prepared and always noone there... Due to its rustic nature, we also had lots of flying bugs crawling on the floor in the morning (all the ones attracted by some lights left in the main room). We wanted a bathroom with bath tub but got instead one with a shower (with a broken shower head), the reason was that the bath tub room wasn’t clean (at 4pm). No wifi in the room, only in the main room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This B&B was in a quiet little village but lovely surroundings and not too far away from the Castle. There was a little bar where you could get meals from and also, there was a campsite restaurant about a 10 minute walk away which was another option. The room was lovely and had an amazing shower! There was a covered area in the garden which was great to sit in, night or day. The host was friendly but didn't speak any English, but our Spanish was pretty poor too but we got by using an app on the phone. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. We would definitly stay here again.
Cons: When we arrived it was all locked up so we got a bit worried, but there is a phone number on the door which we rang and the owner turned up about 2 minutes later, so don't panic!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Javier the owner waited for us upon arrival. I called ahead to advise as they also run the camping up the road. Beds comfortable. Breakfast changed daily and plenty for us. Accommodation central for day trips out. Camping a good spot for a drink and sandwich as nothing open in Loarre. Another option is the nearby town of Ayerbe. Ate in La Floresta 1 day. Good value for money and quick and friendly service.
Cons: The dried and fake flowers. The hotel is very clean but as dust traps makes it look dusty. As room for a shower would be more practical than corner bath.
7.0 Good
Pros: Not far from the stunning castle, the hotel is at the back of the village and in a very quiet location. Rooms were very comfortable. Car parking around the hotel is easy. Value for money
Cons: The hotel's decor is heavy on the chintz and the room had a corner bath and washbasin in the room and lots of items covering every level surface. Perfectly OK just not my style. Breakfast was left out and was very much self service. Owner was working elsewhere so not really available except on the phone.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We were very happy with all aspects of our stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Cozy, friendly owners, amazing area! Aaaand good price!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the hotel was wonderful. It has so much character! The staff was excellent and extremely helpful. It was like stepping back in time, but still having all the modern conveniences. We will definately return. A lovely, relaxing stay.
Cons: Wish we could have stayed longer.
5.8 Okay
Pros: A quirky, old room. Good bed.
Cons: This is an odd establishment. The pension/hotels is very hard to find in Loarre and Loarre itself is almost a ghost town. There was no one to stop for directions. When we finally found the establishment it was in darkness although we had arrived almost exactly when we said we would. The owner did come quickly after we telephoned, but this was not the kind of reception we anticipated. The rooms are fine though cluttered with knick knacks and paraphernalia. There was no Wi-Fi in the room; one had to go down stairs to the communal room. The shower consisted of an open tub with no curtain. In order to not flood the room, you must sit in the tub and use the hand held shower nozzle with caution. All of this is manageable, but not worth the price. We had far nicer rooms in northern Spain for the same, if not slightly, cheaper price.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is a small b+b run by a busy lady, with a couple of other jobs, who still manages to make you really welcome. She was super-helpful to us, including arranging a lift up to the campsite, which was the only place open for dinner on a Sunday night. There's a shady back garden which was a brilliant place to relax after a hard day's walking, a comfy lounge and you can help yourself to coffee/ tea/ biscuits etc when you like. It felt very cosy.
Cons: Nothing- this isn't a fancy hotel but it's really good value, well located and genuinely friendly

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel check in was swift and the staff were very helpful. Paid €5 for each motorbike to use the underground secure parking, which was great. €19pp to use the spa facilities which were just fantastic. Heated outdoor swimming pool was free to use. Jaca is just a short walk away which was good as we stayed on a Wednesday and both the bar and restaurant are closed on a Wednesday, so beware. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Look forward to our next stay.
Cons: Restaurant closed on Wednesdays.
8.8 Excellent

Cons: No kettle in the room and the ants on the floors in the appartment
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing
Cons: Not much
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Parking facilities for bike, swimming pool and outside area. The apartment was spacious and well equipped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the secure underground parking. The motorbike space that they provided included a room where i could put any belongings that I did not need in the hotel. The outside pool was great. The room came with your own kitchen with all the utensils provided. This was great.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Apartment room is fantastic and the location would be more suited to spend a few days to explore the Pyrenees rather than the single night stop that we did. Pleasant walk into town, easy access to main roads, secure underground parking.
Cons: A little early in season, so the bar, restaurant and pool were not open. No bar and restaurant meant we had no choice but to go into town. Not even a vending drinks or snacks on site. All kitchen facilities available except for a kettle which was annoying. Staff need to learn local area as we asked for closest shop to get some food and drink and was told in town (15 minutes walk), but there is a massive supermarket just 5 minutes walk towards the main road, which we only saw the next morning when we went there to fill up.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Nothing, but a Gym would top it off
7.5 Good
Pros: Family friendly hotel with a lovely swimming pool and restaurant included.
Cons: A little too far out of town to walk into Jaca, therefore limited to services within the hotel.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location and room.
Cons: Have been visiting for last 5 years, there has been no restaurant available on recent visits, and most recently large groups of very noisy young people have spoilt the experience .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely apartment, well equipped, clean and tidy. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Position was quite a walk from town.

Cons: Room not huge!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was perfectly clean with lovely shower and comfy bed. Staff were so nice, helpful and friendly. Breakfast and lunch in the hotel were lovely. Great location.
Cons: Our room was a little noisy on one or two mornings- with the elevator and front door close by and deliveries or rubbish collection in the street (a sign in the hall to ask guests to be quiet on the stairs would be helpful) - but this was only occasional and not a real problem for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in the old town. Very good restaurant on the premises. You do have to park at the exterior of the old town - this wasn't a problem for us. Excellent quality/price. Highly recommended.

Pros: Staff were all so friendly and helpful. We were made very welcome. The whole place was beautifully kept but comfortable and in a wonderful setting. Facilities were good and the food was lovely. A very restful place to be but with a pool and golf and the Spa there was potential to be busier! Just great.
Cons: We didn't find anything we didn't like.

Pros: + big quiet room + good location + quiet + comfortable beds + good breakfast + 5 min. to Jaca + good price quality relation
Cons: - booking.com misunderstanding The interface of booking.com does provide filter for 2 persons and thus shows price for one room. Pros: Nice room, big pool, good restaurant and great buffet breakfast.
Cons: The outdoor area needed tidying up, weeds on pavers, odd broken cobble stones. Bar area not relaxing.

Pros: Overnight stay on our way back home. Hotel was nice, staff friendly, place was clean. Nothing over the top about the place but was good for our purpose. As the temperatures were extremely hot that week, the air conditioning was greatly appreciated. Under ground parking was a plus for our motorbikes and secure.
Cons: Wasn't located by any great attractions that I remember but we were only looking for an over night stay with a pool and air conditioning because of the heat so that worked out well.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I am a lone female traveling in Spain. Had no preconceived ideas of what type town this would be. It’s wonderful. The location is very good in that it’s only a 15 to 20 minute walk with backpack and wheeled luggage from train station. Easy walk into town as well. Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Loved the shower! Couple running the hotel made sure I knew how to get around (their orientation to the town was excellent. I decided to stay here because I was interested in seeing an old monastery, San Juan de la Pena, a stunning structure whose game is that it once held the Holy Grail. There are no excursions for doing this, so they suggested a taxi (60€ round trip, plus under 10€ admission fee to the site- discounts for the admission fee was available to seniors and pilgrims holding the Camino credential (to pilgrims— you will love their sello). Besides the monastery, there are several churches worth a visit, as is a walk through of the citadel- forteleza
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, friendly owners and staff, fantastic value for money. Cycling friendly as we had bikes - let us use their huge garage and full facilities.
Cons: Nothing I didn't like.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Secure garage for motorcycles.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay here. The room is of a good quality and layout. The bathroom is the same, good quality fittings and high standard of finish. Everywhere was spotless, the bed very comfortable. I was able to park my motorcycle in the garage for a small charge. I stayed for 3 nights and felt very at home here. Great location for the city centre and touring the area.
Cons: The room, top floor would be a little small for two as one side of the bed is against the wall. I was travelling solo so no problem for me. The shower doesn't stop part of the bathroom floor getting flooded.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was close to the old town - less than 10 minutes walk. So many great bars if you're into tapas. And just 30 minutes drive to the Pyrenees and the French border. Nice view from the small balcony.
Cons: No much we didn't like. Parking could be a problem but we managed with a spot in the street outside.
