Very friendly staff, amazingly good location close to the beach, kitchen was useful and good food in restaurant.
Everything was fine. I hope some day in the future I'll spend another perfect week in this place. Some key people don't understand English well, though they try to do their best to help you.
location, silent location, close to beach, centrum playa des ingles, good for single, double or families. Too many germans
the hotel reception staff were very helpful The food was terrible
The staff was very helpful, were all fluent in English and German, very smiley and always trying to improve their services. A great "customer services" behaviour. The food was quite repetitive, similar dishes during the dinner ... still, there was always a meat, fish and vegetarian dish. Since I was pregnant, I was very careful with the food but I must say that it was good and had no problems. I did not like that drinks have to be paid extra during dinner.
The hotel reception staff were very helpful The lift door sensors are inadequate, and could close on you as they did on me , causing the largest bruising on my arms my nurse had never seen .
nice breakfast and dinner room are good.senior hotel near beach and from the night life could be cheaper
Excellent location for walks in the mountains and visiting the interior of Gran Canaria.
The location of the Parador up in the mountains is excellent with stunning views from the bedrooms (Mount Teide on Tenerife can be seen on a clear day). The bedroom accommodation, lounges, & main areas are of the usual high standard found in Paradors (this one has only recently been opened/renovated). We thought the price of the Spa/indoor pool etc at over 30 euros each person was excessive otherwise we would have used it more. It's a pity there is no outdoor pool.
Fantastic iews from our room and balcony. Staff not very friendly. No lighting for inside the wardrobe/lobby.
The view from the balcony towards the setting sun was beautiful. The hotel offered what they promised in this regard. It was quite expensive.
View and location Service was rather cold and off hand not what i expect at that level of hotel. Also Spa and pool were closed which i was not made aware off when booking so as a family very disappointed!
The view from the room, the balcony furniture with fleecy rugs for sitting above the clouds was amazing after a day of driving the zig zag roads. the cafe/restaraunt staff were very helpfull and attentive to the kids, and the standard of food excelent. The swiming pool shown in the photo's is not available unless you use the spa which is out of bounds for kids at all times. I had read reviews about it being closed so checked on paradors website, trip advisor and hotels website and there was no mention of this. This was the main reason we had booked.
clean new hotel with stunning views and very friendly staff; the reception staff speaks either english or german as a foreign language; Arrive early to enjoy the afternoon sun on the terrace looking at the great mountain scenery! only buffet breakfast is offered
the view from our room was breathtaking, the ambiance was relaxing, and the food was fantastic.
This parador is located in the centre of the island with magnificent views of the mountains and easy access to walks and the very special Roque Nublo. I was amazed to get a twin room for 60 euros. Breakfast was extra at 15 euros each but very special. There could not be anything to dislike at this hotel.
Facilities were good, views and situation along with staff were good and very helpful. Initial room was very poor with no view but asked and recieved a better room. Food was adequate but presentation could be improved.
The views from the restaurant and teeaces and rooms were excellent. The on-site recreation facities were good and the activitie co-ordinator, Adam, was enthustastic, and friendly but not pushy. Rooms were noisy. Some doors and windows were showing signs of age.
the taste of the food...the way it was prepared..., But the offer was good
We liked the restaurant staff and the exterior look of the hotel; the pool looked great too. They should definitely start redesigning the hotel rooms. The fact that the bedrooms had only a little window to the outside, the wooden furniture was old and repulsive and the interior had a gloomy look is a serious downside of this hotel. It is definitely not a good honey moon destination (and not a good destination for young people as well).
Location: close to Jumbo Center, restaurants, shops etc. Walking distance to the beach (or using free hotel shuttle). Nice personnel. Hotel is out-dated. The walls are so thin, that you can hear your neighbors coughing or sighing. Beds are not comfortable at all. Bathroom amenities are absent. No teapot in the kitchenette. The food is awful, both at the breakfast and at the dinner (how hard should they try to spoil even the scrambled eggs?).
It had a nice swimming area for me. My mother had no possibility to swim in the pool, as she is not so good on her legs, and no walk into the pool ramp. She was very dissapointed, especially as it was 30-34 degrees heat everyday.
Good location for walking. Attractive comfortable rooms. Other guests very nice. Disappointing food
Tranquility Booking.com information stated things that were not there, ie., solarium, massage, jacuzzi, business centre, laudnry & ironing.
i liked almost everything there. Nice atmosphere, good garden, breathetaking view on the mountains, nice stuff. -
Good food and friendly staff. Good base for walking Did not like the open plan bathroom-I like toilets to have a door! Also the room was small and smelt of food, and there was nowhere to sit comfortably, apart from the bed
Great location and view, very friendly and helpful staff, god facilities, good breakfast (but remember to bring warm clothes for cool mornings). Possibility to have earlier breakfast, and perhaps more varied selection of bread.
Lovely hotel well situated to walk up Roque Nublo. Has a nice common room, but unheated and locked in the evening (Feb.'09) No heating, everyone seemed to wear coats for breakfast, no restaurant or bar open. All restaurants in the village close before 9:00pm if you can get them to serve you. I like a quiet life, but what happens here after 20:00. I don't recomend the drive to the village after dark!
The room was cosy. The hotel's staff and all people in Tejeda were very friendly. The mountain views - great.
The Location, The Individuality, The general comfort. The friendly helpfulness of the staff.. Cold breakfast room was a nuisance, Local amenities in Tejeda for late eating were very restrictive. This would not stop us visiting again, we would plan our days differently.
Splendid, though challenging walking from the door into the amazing Gran Canerian mountains and gorges Eating in the evening is a problem. Though one of the largest central Gran Canarian villages, Tejeda is very quiet even in the 'high season' of mid-February - with wholesome but simple food available from only one (different) cafe per night. But its Almond Festival, when blossom abounds at this time, changes everything - though this year this was spoiled by rain.
Good location for walks in central Gran Canaria. Probably one of the better hotels in that area. Lack of heating, especially in bath room. Only 2 quality restaurants in Tejeda, and open only from 20:00 to 21:30.
...too long time to pay...due to a computer problem
Yes the waiting time at the hotel bar is very long
Enjoyed absolutely everything! What a wonderful find! The rooms were great, the food was wonderful and the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. Was a little hard to find. Instructions for finding it would be helpful.
It's situation in a pretty, historic town. The house itself was also quite pretty and built around a lovely courtyard. Could be a really nice experience of real Canaria. The customer service was poor. The manager made us feel more of a necessary nuisance than a welcome guest. Our room not quite finished when we arrived. That's OK - mistakes happen but when I returned to reception to inform her (and I realise I should speak better Spanish) she declared in an off-hand way she didn't understand and swept upstairs with me meekly following her. She did say then that she didn't realise it wasn't finished & sent the maid in to apologise! All we wanted was a good natured welcome and a smile or too! This sort of culture permeated the whole place. At the restaurant waitress told in no uncertain terms that they closed at 10pm when we had just finished our meal. B/fast was a mediocre - no staff.
Lovely old building, beautifully restored, very peaceful courtyard for relaxing, attractive bedroom. Set in the Interesting historic quarter of Aguimes, so pleasant to walk around the area. Not a complaint, but it was difficult to find. Suggest future guests download the instructions and check the online guide by zooming in as much as possible. Set in old quarter, consisting of very narrow, one way streets, and it's easy to miss Calle Moral(?), the way into the quarter - itself a very narrow one way street.
I liked the location of the hotel. it is inside the old part of Aguimes which is perfect if you want to be away from the tourists in a typical canarian village Breakfast could be improved. poor service and not enough presence from the staff.
Very clean, family friendly, friendly staff, located on the city centre, easy parking on streets nearby. The church bells ring every hour even during the evening. Hotel could have one or two more people; staff looked a bit overloaded with work.
excellent individual surrounding. What I would call a boutique hotel. also a lovely little town. Dinner was excellent. beautiful rooms Breakfast was a big disappointment espcially after the dinner (although dinner was paid for separately so this may be why) Very basic and I have had more selection in lower star hotels. Infact I ended up having a peice of bread and the last peice of ham as nothing but a few cererals. Please note that while we are in spain its usually expected that a little English is spoken in hotels. No English.
A very central location in the charming city of Aguimes. Built round a central small courtyard, it is quite rural while being central. We stayed on a Saturday night and the band didn't stop the heavy rock music until 4.30am!
