All rooms oceanfront with balconies. Clean, vibrant and great location. Nice restaurant on property, Aquarius. Fire pits, pool, spa.
Rooms do not black out No bell hop
beachfront room. that's it.
$300 and didn't even get a bottle of water in the room. they told me they "don't do that anymore" poor condition of bathroom overall run down feeling
You can't beat the location, but the price is steep.
Lots of families and kids around the pool. I was staying with a friend and we could hear a lot of noise from the rooms on either side of us, which was difficult to sleep through. It wasn't late night noise. It was early morning families rising before 6am on Sunday morning.
We have not been to Santa Cruz in years, and have never stayed at The Dream Inn. We will definitely be back. What a beautiful venue and location. Our room was lovely, and the front desk service polite, service oriented and professional.
What beautiful views from our balcony and from the restaurant! We loved our stay and will be back for another little get away just over the hill.
Excellent staff, great view, sound of waves, comfortable room, and good wireless.
Great place, really well done room decor. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Very professional and personable staff all around. Outstanding location.
Lamps were a little on the bright side. I think California is mandating the compact florescent bulbs for these businesses. They are efficient but the quality of the light is a bit harsh. Hopefully another alternative will come soon. I miss the warmth of full spectrum incandescent light bulbs. Not the fault of the Dream Inn at all.
The room was comfortable, I liked the robe a nice touch. The view was beautiful made u feel relaxed
From check in it was bad. There was two but the girl said Julio would handle it, and she left. Julio couldn't find our reservation and really didn't care to look. We were checking in at 5 and needed to be at our engagement at 5:30. We found it he pointed down the hall for our room and the was our introduction to the dream in. Very poor since I work in the restaurant industry.
the kind people at the front desk called 2x to ask if we needed anything and how our room was, which was lovely. turns out they REALLY wanted to know if we were still there so that they could sneak candy banana slugs up to our room with the sweetest note you ever did read. we were in santa cruz so our oldest could visit the college and they wanted to be sure we LOVED everything. they were so kind and generous and ridiculously phenomenal. big thanks!
i liked everything.
OceAn and beach. Newly remodeled.
Noise from hallway and rooms next door.
Everyone was Gerry nice from the front desk person to the bell hop and the waitress at the restaraunt that is in the hotel...Gerry closeto the board walk and the pier which has lots of Resurant for u to enjoy lunch and so forth...the hotel had everything u wanted from beach access to pool area tha had a spa, pool, sitting area with heaters and a fire pit, also a out door pool bar and lots of chairs around the pool...the returant also has a bar and the food is soo good too...and not to expensive...our room was soo nice the view alone was great but we had a great room with a ratting area and sitting area with a tv and the king size bed perfectly placeds so u could see the ocean and the tv at night....it was great so do your self a favor and just save your self sometime and book here when u are staying in Santa Cruz...
Everything was great
Loved being on the water. Loved that it was a JDV which I am normally extremely happy with.
90% of the staff was extremely unprofessional. Was nothing like a JDV experience. Walls were extremely thin. I had no problem being woken up by children at 6 am on a Saturday morning however neighbors complained when I had 2 girlfriends over after 10pm on a Friday night. Overall a terrible experiance. Thank god for Hotel Paradox. I will definitely be making reservations there next visit. A view of the ocean should not discount my service. The Dream Inn became much more like a nightmare. Not to mention no phone calls were returned when I explained my situation. Only phone call I got was to inform me they lost the card number on file for room charges and incidentals and required me to give them another card number. Next time I will save the drive and walk across the street to stay at The Hotel of Los Gatos.
