Book last minute, they upgraded my room and everyone was super friendly!
The hotel is old and not very attractive upon entering. The furniture in the rooms is mismatched and contains a lot of dings and dents.
The deal on the hotel was great. The staff was very helpful.
The hotel is fairly small and the outside and interior are not anything special. However, the room was inviting and clean and the bed was so comfortable. The free breakfast was better than average (except for the scrambled eggs, which were incredibly gross), and included hard boiled eggs, pancakes (from a machine), sticky buns, sausages, coffee, juice, etc. The hotel is not in the middle of old Santa Fe (plaza area) but it takes only a quick car ride to get there. Good hotel for the budget traveler.
Nothing fancy, but it was clean and met my needs. I didn't eat the breakfast (just b/c breakfast in Santa Fe is so good elsewhere) but it looked good.
I have stayed at this Holiday Inn several times and despite its location on Cerrillos Road (the main, busy, unpleasant thoroughfare in Santa Fe) it is always great. The beds, which are supposed to be in all Holiday Inn Expresses but are not, are my favorite anywhere. The staff is always relaxed, helpful and accomodating. The good side of staying on Cerrillos Road is if you are not familiar with Santa Fe, you need only pull out the drive, turn right and you will land on the plaza without getting lost in the maze of one way, winding, confusing streets that comprise this very old city. Again, it is an ugly introduction to Santa Fe if you are not familiar, but once inside the welcoming entrance, the sounds of traffic somehow vanish, the small business center is always ready and those BEDS! And you are only a couple of miles from the center of downtown and surrounded by a number of terrific restaurants despite their appearances! Pick up a Fodor's so you can pick out the terrific little meals tucked here and there amongst the billions of businesses lining Cerrillos Road. Some fantastic Mexican and Northern New Mexican food awaits you!
The staff was incredibly generous the moment I walked through the door. The young lady working the front desk when I arrived informed me of restaurants open during my late arrival as well as shops to purchase goods and services. Choosing Holiday Inn has always been #1 no matter which city I visit. I would definitely return to the exact same establishment next time I am in Santa Fe!
The hotel was conveniently located and in a safe area. Our room was very quiet, and I liked that we had a small fridge in the room to store the wine that we bought at one of the many nearby wineries. The contintental breakfast was very good and included both hot and cold breakfast choices such as eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, yogurt and cereal.
check in was fast and easy, the room was great and accessable to everything, we had a great stay. we would choose this hotel again.
This Hotel was horrible! The room wasn't clean there was stuff on the carpets and the bathroom floor was disgusting and covered in hair. There were small beetles crawling everywhere. The bed was soft and broken down. We stayed one night and checked into another hotel. Nto recommended. Old and icky
we stayed one night. It is a very nice hotel, the breakfast was very nice, room was very clean and the front desk staff were very courteous and friendly. We would stay again.
We stayed in this hotel for a vacation. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable, but there wasn't a lot of room around all the furniture. Our tv had a few issues, but overall, we enjoyed the stay in the room. The breakfast bar left a lot to be desired. There were not many options and the dining area was very small. All in all, we enjoyed staying in the hotel, it was comfortable, but small.
The hotel was clean, but the rooms were very small. The free break-fast good on one day, not so good the next day. (Yoghurt and OJ was not available the second day). This was close to lot of restaurants and downtown.
I reserved a suite with a king bed and to be totally honest it looked like a regular room with a king bed.It was pretty pricey for what I got.By the way for all of you that have pets you can't bring your pet if you are getting a suite they do not accept them unless you get a regular room and sign a contract in case the carpets get stained 150 charge if it does. Not worth the trouble. I don't think Iwill ever stay in this hotel again.
