Location is excellent as Sesimbra is still a village with soul not only devoted to tourists. You only have to walk by the uphill streets. The hotel is located right in front of the beach which is a must. All rooms have sea view and the balconies are perfect for rest and work if you need to. Very friendly staff. Try the cocktail's happy hour. I would only recommend shutting off the swimming pool's running water during the night since the pool is closed by night and there is no one to use it. As the hotel is located very near to the beach it would be very pleasant to concentrate on the sound waves rather than the running water from the pool.
This is a fabulous hotel. It really is a 41/2 star hotel. The rooms are large and modern, the views are magnificant, the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, the food in the hotel was very good and the facilities were good too! The pool was too cold to swim in. It should be heated.
I liked everything, from the room, the ocean view from the room, the beach is 50 meters from the hotel, there is free parking. Loved the hotel! Nothing actually...
The breakfast, the rooms, the location (all of Sesimbra), the view, the beach facilities of the Hotel, the pool area, the staff, this should be a 5-star hotel. The whole family enjoyed the entire stay :-)
I thought the hotel was too expensive and inflexible.
The hotel is very nice, located near the ocean and providing parking, basic spa, gymn, and beach tent, all at no added cost. It is located on top of the beach with a really nice view. There aren't many complaints I can make. If anything, I can point out that the hotel internet is wired (an ethernet plug is available in the beadrooms) and there should be some signs indicating the location of the breakfast restaurant.
This hotel was magnificant. The view was fabulous, and the staff was very curtious. My husband appreciated the flat screen t.v. Our only regret was our length of stay was far too short. I would definiatly recommend this hotel to my friends.
Location is very good (next to beach, no traffic noises, close to everything in village). Breakfast was good, room was large and comfortable. Been to the hotel twice, would go again. Parking facilities are good. As its a spa there is the odor of the spa in parts of the hotel, but not in the room. Hotel staff could have been more proactively helpful, but thats about the same in all large hotels.
It was way better than a few 5-star ones than I've vissited in the area. Deffinately worth a recomendation. Their Spa-staff are very skilled. The town has mostly portuguese tourist so that too is much more charming than ex. Cascais. We stayed in the T1 type appartment wich was supreme.
Position near to the sea. there was no facility to have room service when we arrived....flight delayed and they were not very helpful about it.
Room and view, good location Restaurant the weakest part
location is right on the beach!
The location is excellant - right on the sea and close to everything including many wonderful restaurants.
I had reserved a room with a sea view but we were shown to a room with a land view. The staff changed the room to a sea view very quickly (but this was November, it might not have been so easy in the high season). We requested a vegetarian meal in the restaurant and were given an excellent dinner of soup, salad, pasta and dessert. I had requested the 'Romantic Package' for the weekend as a surprise for my wife on our wedding anniversary. This included wine and fruit being served in our room and I was disapponted that these things were not ready when we checked in and we would have to wait for the things to arrive. If a special experience is being offered it should be evident as soon as guests arrive at the hotel.
Perfect location, close to the beach and easy parking made a great difference. Not being able to take drinks by the poolside or for my partner to smoke poolside.
The beatiful view.
comfort, convenience and hospitality
Lovely hotel, great location and front desk staff were extremely helpfull
Use of pool / sauna. Sea-view. Location.
Old hotel. Nice rooms. Perfect view from the windows. Excellent swimming pool (Indore). Romantic bar above the beach. Bottom-line; go there for the view, beach, and swimming pool. The headwaiter at dinner could be much nicer, and took the tip that was supposed to go to a very nice pregnant waiter who worked very hard. Dinner was very expensive but with good quality compare to the food you can eat in Portugal. The dishes were very small, so we had to full our stomach with desserts. Breakfast was with poor quality compare to what you can get even in ** hotels like Ibis. Safe in the room was out of order.
Peaceful time of the year, in a beauitful setting
Location only. For the price we paid we could expect something better. It is not only the location what matters. 4 stars in this case looks strange.
The location at the beach and the big indoor swimming pool. Also, the view from the restaurant is just splendid. Furniture is somewhat dated, although comfortable.
Sea view and gardens
The location is perfect on the very beach. Not far from Lisboa, in small suburb which is called Sisimbra. There are a lot of bars, small restaurants near the Hotel, where you can taste sea food. The Hotel has its own available security parking which is free of charge that’s good. Rooms are clean, well equipped, with its own balconies. The territory is indoor and well-groomed. Restaurant and bar both with panoramic view, tasty food. Road which leads to the Hotel is quiet narrow, dysphotic and pot-holed but everything change when you are getting to the Hotel:) Reception stuff is a little bit melancholic.
The panoramic sea view from the hotel is fantastic - the large window in our room meant we could see the sea and beach at all times and then from the balcony we could see even more of it ! the hotel is close to the town so there were no problems finding restaurants. signage - could be better - there were small signs in one direction only so if you came from another way (which we did on arrival) we had no idea how to find the hotel and since the town is a warren of very small streets it was quite difficult to get to it when you don't know your way around.
Without doubt, the view from our room. Overlooking beautiful unspoilt beach Breakfast was the worst we have ever had, and had for 6 days! At the least they could provide fresh orange juice and a bit of variation. Staff were very unhelpful and not a smile between them. Hotel itself was very tastfully decorated. Did not like the fact that both swimming pools were unattended at all times.
We go to this hotel to relax. Every room has a balcony and the bar has a veranda so you can sit out and read and be undisturbed. The car park and restaurant were the only clues that the hotel was full - the hotel doesn't feel full and you can be as anti social as you like. Staff are friendly and speak excellent English - though we were the only English people staying. This is the first time we have stayed here when the hotel has been full. The restaurant introduced a buffet and the food was not as good. When the hotel is less busy the food and service are much better in the restaurant.
I liked the swimming pools, particularly the indoor one. The bedroom was a good size. It is very old fashioned and quite strnge to get down to the beach.
