The correspondence and help I received from Nicholas was the best customer service I had received while being away on holiday. The images on the web site make the apartment look a lot bigger than what it actually is.
Location and facilities No aircon
A practical, reasonably priced place to stay in a city with very high accommodation costs.
After arriving from a long flight, I was delighted to find a very lovely room, with a very comfortable bed. Best of all, there is a supermarket located on the first floor of the building, so I was able to make great use of the kitchen. The furnishings were great, the staff was great, service personalized, and I felt like I had my own apartment half way around the world! I will recommend this hotel to all of my friends.
The staff -- several of whom spoke good English -- were very friendly and forgave us our poor Spanish. They were patient with us when we tried to pay with a Discover card (not accepted much in Chile) and had to use another. The manager (or at least the one on duty when we were there) also helped us with a suggestion about which bus to use to get to Valparaiso the day we checked out. Another gentleman kindly retrieved us from the lobby and told us as much as he was able in English about the area. We loved our loft room. The place was clean and comfortable, including and especially the bathroom. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to a friend. It was a bit confusing to find -- the address belongs to more than one operation, it seems, and the man behind the desk right inside the front door did not speak English and had to call someone else to come get us. (He was, at least, able to nod when we said "Amistar Apartments" and motioned for us to wait for someone to help us.)
The personal service provided by the manager was A+++ beyond the call of duty. The location was extremely convenient and central to all attractions. The pool area was fantastic and the room was very well furnished and decorated. The 2nd bedroom of the apartment was too small to be called a real bedroom. ie: the roll out bed provided could not even be fully extended and the room could not be entered at the same time as there was not enough room to even open the door. Unfortunately we were also located on a floor too low to take in the panormic views of the mountains advertised.
Good location, very nice staff, nice comfortable rooms
great location, very comfortable the internet was inconsistent
The staff were friendly and were largely fluent in English. The location was great, only a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants and parks. The wifi was strong throughout the hotel, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The rooftop bar was very nice but wasn't open on the weekend which was a disappointment. Really good quality for the price. The pool is in the basement which was a mistake on our end, some old/incorrect pictures showed it as a rooftop pool which made spending a day at the pool impossible. Water in the room is outrageously expensive, $10/bottle! The shower/tub combo was a bit uncomfortable - I'm very average size and it was too narrow to stand shoulder width. The room was starting to show some signs of age but still a very good value.
Staff very friendly and helpful food was excellent room was comfortable I would have liked a tea kettle in the room
Very nice lobby layout. Nice breakfast. Classy rooms. Very polite and helpful staff. The hotel did not charge me for a late cancellation 1 night due to cancelled airline flight when they could have by their terms and conditions.. The City Tour they organised was terrific.Highly recommended Coffee concentrate is pretty poor compared to proper brewed coffee but this seems to be the standard in South America. Meals expensive compared to good restaurants close by. More complimentary water in vathroom would be appreciated as to purchase it is USD10.
this is a big hotel and near the center of the santiago... not bad
Location, location, location. I wish there were more restaurant choices.
Great location Reception staff needs to be friendlier. It felt cold checking in. Especially the men. There was one lady with an accent that was very nice when I was checking out.
The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. They all speak very good Engish and so so nice. The room was AMAZING, clean, comfortable, robes and slippers, bottled water, coffee, etc. The area surrounding the hotel is wonderful, safe, with many great restaurants and shops.
Great place to stay, Close to all downtown business, restaurants and shopping. The Panamerican Hotel is close SCL airport in Santiago Chile N/A
staff friendly and helpful. good breakfast Our booking via booking.com had not been recieved by them
The hotel is in a central location for most attractions. There is a pedestrian walkway close by that will take you to the main square and other tourist areas of interest. Our room was comfortable. We found the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit dated and could use some cosmetic work. However, the bathrooms have been remodeled.
very good localization and close to city center wi fi system
Great Location. Very.nice, spacious and well eqiped rooms
Clean, good location, helpful staff Shower was very small. Staff spoke very little English. It5 would be nice to have an exercise facility in the hotel.
Very clean, fantastic location, great design, excellent service, and tasty breakfast. No complaints!
The staff and location really make this hotel a place to remember. From the first second of your arrival the staff make a great effort to be accommodating and friendly. The hotel is locate across the street from a nice park and is a short walk from museums and an abundance of restaurants and shops. Highly recommended. My only real complaint is the TV had a limited selection of channel options, but when you are visiting someplace new you probably shouldn't hang out in your room anyway.
