Situated in a peaceful location in Vila Verde de Ficalho, the Outeiro da Vila offers a large garden with outdoor pool. The unit has also a tennis court and a gym. This century-old farm house is completely rebuilt and offers traditional air-conditioned rooms. Each of the rooms features private bathroom and cable TV. Some of the rooms have a living room and a fireplace. Guests can relax on the sun loungers around the pool or just use the tennis court. Thanks to the free bikes the hotel offers, guest can easily explore the area. The town of Rosal de la Frontera is 7.5 km away and the Natural Park Vale do Guadiana is less than 40 km away.
Pros: Once checked in everything was fine
Cons: On arrival at the predicted time owners were out. Just about to go and look for somewhere else to stay when they returned. Not acceptable for this price bracket.
Pros: The house itself is beautiful, the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. They lent us some bicycles for free that took us as far as Spain. Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: More of a suggestion than a complaint: given that we are in the countryside, having plastic flowers around isn't really necessary or desirable. May be worth getting rid of them or (even better) replacing them with real ones :)
Pros: This place was super beautiful and the staff was amazing - thank you so much! I highly recommend Outeiro da Vila to everyone!
Located in Barrancos, Parque de Natureza de Noudar offers air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool with view of the castle and great array of nature family activities. The recuperated houses at Parque de Natureza de Noudar offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms. Alternatively guests can choose economic bedding options with shared bathroom. Guests have access to a restaurant on site with local cuisine. Barbecue facilities are available at a surcharge. In addition, guests can make their own picnics. Flora and wild animal observation is possible using the free bikes available or the electric cars. Guests have access to gift shops and a library. Beja Airbase is located 120 Km away, Lisboa International Airport is at 246 Km and Faro International Airport is at 259 Km. The Noudar Castle is at a 6-minute drive.
Pros: Beautiful nature, peace and quiet and a very pleasant atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and supportive, good food and drinks. One to consider.
Pros: Bikes, electric cars, pigs, walking paths.
Cons: No fireplace set up at the end of October. Difficult conditions of the road between Barancos and the property. Very limited choice of breakfast.
Pros: Everything beautiful but only for people who love quietness.
Cons: The bicycles aren't really useable. They would need some maintenance.
Pros: Great place surrounded by animals and nature. Had a great dinner there and enjoyed our stay especially as we were greated by such a lovely dog who we spend some time with.
Cons: We must have arrived at low season. It seems we were the only guests. Restaurant staff was very nice but it felt akward for us being the only guests so we did not stay that long as we did not want to make the staff work longer. The check in/check out was ok. almost no words what so ever. We then found out over a map at the hotel that we could rent electric vehicles when we asked for it he said they were on maintenance but he checks again for us. We did not hear anything and relaxed then in the room and at the terrace. Not very welcoming checkin but the place itself is nice, unique and rustic.
Pros: Location fantastic, slap bang in the middle of a peaceful nature reserve. Beautiful sunsets. Nice walking. Really nice old buildings.
Cons: Room very small and very very hot. Only ceiling fan available, which did not relieve the situation much even though we opened our window during the night.
Pros: The location is great, right in the middle of nowhere, and in direct contact with nature. The rooms are spacious and nice, with no luxury, but with the basic comforts. We got to ride a bugie, that the Parque rents, which was really fun, and we made some nice sightseeing, including the Noudar castle. As the access to the Parque is not so easy, we decided to have lunch and dinner there. The food was very good, congratulations to the Chef! Breakfast was also amazing. Really enjoyed this time!
Cons: For those who like it, there was no TV in the room and the wi-fi didn't always work. For the pool area, the access was not the easiest, there was no wi-fi and not enough chairs for all the guests. Also, for me the renovations in this area were not well thought - it was unfortunate to not have the pool and the lounge areas together with no steps.
Pros: Absolutely amazing place, with extremely nice, efficient and helpful personnel. The house and scenery are breathtaking. Recommend taking the walking paths in the property, especially around the Noudar Castle (or do them with the bikes available at the property)
Cons: The main road in the property is a bit rough, but acceptable for an ecological property. It adds to a kind of safari like experience (but could definitely be improved)
