96 rooms, 2 for disabled guests. Located in the heart of the colonial area of Santo Domingo, the hotel building was completely refurbished in 2000 and is an ideal base to visit all the historical monuments in the old town centre. 30 km from the airport.
I really enjoyed the location and the value of my hotel stay.
We had 2 rooms reserved, our group had changed & they would't give us our 2nd room even though we pd
Only planned for a one night stay but location was great for sight seeing. The restaurant in the hotel was not very good, service too way too long and the food was not worth its price
On arrival, the room we had booked was not avaiable. they put us in another room and wanted to charge us more. We had to argue with the hotel staff for over an hour inorder to get the same price that we were supposed to receive. The hotel itself is in a good location, but deficinitively not worth the price (however moderate).
the hotel is in renovation, the rooms is very very small and also the beds is very small, you need watch when sleep to dont go down in the floor from the bed
resturant staff were very freindly, as were the cleaning staff,, def. not a good choice for families, but a great location
front desk staff pretty arrogant and snobby exept for the guy that was on the night shift, "minibar" refrigerator not cold at all
This is a nice comfortable hotel in the center of "zone colonial" for a very good price ... the room was clean & quiet, staffs were friendly and breakfast was good ... my personal tip: take a copy of "Santo Domingo dr1 guide" at the lobby, it makes your trip in the town more easier.
a location is perfect, clean, confortable.
Missing information about : transportation, options, etc. Each time we were asking for addresses at the reception, the receptionist pointed systematically to the taxi waiting outside the hotel.
Clean rooms, air conditioned, wireless internet access, restaurant just downstairs adjacent to lobby, great/excellent breakfast service as part of room, friendly staff helpful with bilingual capacity for those who only speak English, beautiful quaint part of the city.
In general I was very satisfied in most any way for my needs.
The local situation (directly at El Conde, the main street of the traditionel center of Santo Domingo) is wonderful if you want to see historical attractions and get an impression of "normal daylife" in the DR
Humid smell in the room and coridors, ventilation in the bathroom in no function, very dark room - view to the opposite window
