view of mountains indoor decoration, breakfast,
Good views Not convenient,noisy!
It is a very pleasant landscape around the hotel, it is quiet and very nice.
The friendly assisstance given by the staff when I encountered a problem making an international phone call. The convenient location to the beach at Lerici. Parking was very limited & breakfast could be improved by using "fresh" baked items in lieu of pre-packaged.
cheap price mutch noise between the rooms, but was quet in the nights.small room .poor breakfast-not easy to find with gps
Balcony, clean, view, peace and quiet a little of the beaten path
We stayed for one night only. Our intentions were to visit Cinque Terre and the hotel is close enough (10km) from La Spezia which was the starting point for our journey. It is located up in a mountain village and the view from the window was amazing. The breakfast was not one of the best, but this was compensated by the fact that we totally enjoyed our staying there. There is not many option to choose from for a dinner - actually there is only one ve-e-e-ery local place which closes around 22:00 so if you want to have a late dinner you should drive down to the closest village.
ok for this price
Very good view from window Breakfast, because everything packed.
Very friendly and cosy hotel situated off the bitten tracks, but with normal comfort. And the low price caused by distance from cities (really nothing by car) is the strong point. The Italian breakfast and the narrow road from the main route are just things to be noted - not the weaknesses. 5 of 5!!!
location and comfort
This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. We liked it very mcuh both times. The staff are pleasant and the rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The small town is very charming and off the beaten path. If you have a car it is a great base for exploring the region. We have nothing negative to say about this hotel! We will certainly go back there. I suppose that if you want to be in the thick of things, the village is very quiet, but its charm outweighs the action-factor.
The village (quiet and near to the 5 terre) & very charming hotel
My wife and I loved the small town. The people were very helpful. Exploring locally (in town) and La Specia, Cinque Terre was very easy. The rooms were simple clean and comfortable. The connected restaurant (dinner only) was excellent and reasonably priced. Being able to stay in an original small Italian town was fantastic. We felt like we part of the neighborhood with it's small pathways and houses high above the valley.
I loved the way the personal took care about everything: they seem to love their job which reflects the good atmosphere. They take care of you!!!!
Noisy fan in bathroom, shampoo and soap not replaced in three nights stay, some ventilation noise from outside
Nice location, bright ,sunny , good sized rooms .
The views of the surrounding area were very nice. The hotel has alot of character and charm. The beds are very hard, there are many stairs up to the hotel and the location was difficult to find.
Breakfast was good. Road access to Hotel and parking in close vicinity.
Beautiful location only half hour drive from cinque terre and away from noisy la spezia.
Parking adjacent, pleasant grounds, very clean, warm and all in working order None we could find.
New and very nice place. Good room decor and design. Friendly personal. We liked it more than previous 4* hotel. Kitchen and about 300 meters to supermarket. I think, it was best place in our trip. Problem with search of hotel. Hard to find and sign isn't too bright...
wonderful brand new hotel with very beautiful rooms. kitchenette was very good, the building was great inside and out, and air conditioner saved whether it was hot or cold. simply excellent! was very tricky to find. gps doesnt know this street, google maps send to a different location which is 10 minutes away. had to call hotel staff and basically come and pick us up from the place we were at.
Very nice, clean and quiet. All furniture and equipment was new and working. Comfortable room and kitchen. Nice big pool. difficult to find even with GPS. Bigger and brighter directing signs would be very helpful.
the personnel was extremly helpful in my stay,a very quite restful place. yes the lack of an elevator
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel La Greppia. The welcoming and gentilness of Antonio and his wife was great. The fact that the hotel has a restuarant is a great asset. The rrom was big and comfortable.
The hospitality is very good. The room was well kept and clean. I am very happy with my stay.
Antonio and his family made us feel like part of the family. The food was great and the atmosphere fantastic. They were helpful with lots of local knowledge and advice. The hotels location is close to many attractions. It is kept very clean. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel. We have already recommended it to our travel agent. Thanks again Antonio.
The local countryside, and was not busy. The steps were steep 3 levels no lift
Nice room in lovely setting The rain!!
Location of the hotel is very natural, in the middle of a wine area. The hotel produces its own very delicious wine . Hotel is a good starting point to discover the surrounding. Regrettably, there was no opportunity to have lunch! Only if requested one day in advance. Staff explained, that a little restaurant is planned for the future...
small place, quiet, only six suits. very intimate, nice open view. big room nice design. espresso machine in the room.. late breakfast , start only at 8:30
It was a perfect stay! The rooms were lovely, very individually decorated with antique tuscan furniture, the bathrooms were gorgious... everything was very clean. High quality breakfast was served on the terrace. The staff was extremely nice and helpful - our special thank you to Fabio, who contributed in making our stay so particular. We had a wonderful evening with wine tasting and great food. The estate produces great white wines. We highly recommend "La Ghiaia" to all conoisseurs. Being close to the cities of Sarzana and La Spezia the resort offers lots of possibilities to discover the beautiful Cinque Terre and the famous "Golfo dei Poeti". We will certainly come again...
The Tenuta La Ghiaia (Resort La Ghiaia) was simply fantastic! Fabio was so friendly and helpful. He gave us a wonderful tour the wine making facility and a very nice wine tasting afterwards. Fabio also gave us some wonderful recommendations for dinner and places to see outside of Sarzana. We were able to experience the area as locals do, which is exactly what we had in mind. The resort was quiet and peaceful and the scenery was beautiful. Staying here made me want to relocate permanently to Italy!
We had no airconditioning in our bedroom. The information from surrounding area was from 2015. No dinner offered - the bottle of wine in the room is not announced with a price. Breakfast quite poor, no fruits, in such a beautiful garden I would have loved to have breakfast in the garden
