Located in Lourinha, Quinta do Molinu is in a rural location, a 3-minute drive from DinoParque and 8 minutes from Lourinha Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: A great place to relax. Both Indoor and outdoor areas are very pleasent. The staff is very friendly and always available to help. The spa and wellness area are very cosy, with a nice view over the garden. Breakfast is very tasty and freshly cooked. As there were other free rooms they offer me a room upgrade - for free.
Pros: Beautiful location, friendly staff, really pretty layout of the garden, really nice places to sit outside and see the view far out over the area. The room was very pretty, spacious with plenty of storage space, lounge area and the heating/AC worked well. The breakfast was thoughtful, all being served right at the table instead of a buffet, it included hot items like pancakes and scrambled eggs, but it was pretty much the same thing every morning and some may prefer more variety. Overall, this is definitely a place to be enjoyed in the summer months.
Cons: Unfortunately we came at the worst part of the winter and got very cold, extremely windy weather. We anticipated though to use the indoor pool and jacuzzi a lot to stay warm but we found that all of the rooms are open to the outside and ours was on the rooftop (with great views) but with more wind and we had to walk a bit and descend the stairs to get to the pool/jacuzzi or even the breakfast room. This made it very uncomfortable to leave our room to go anywhere at the guest house, and while the indoor pool was heated enough, the jacuzzi was not hot, and when we turned on the jets it was only freezing cold water coming out and making the water even colder so we gave up. The pool and jacuzzi area were also very cold, especially when we found the windows open in the shower/bathroom area and there was no hairdryer so it made it very risky to go back outside to our room with wet hair in the extreme cold and wind. In the room, the bath towels were very thin and stiff, it felt like I was washing my face with sandpaper. The towels in the pool area were actually softer. When we mentioned this issue to our hostess Susana, she was kind enough to send up a pair of the pool towels for us to use in the room. Our bathroom also had no ventilation unless we opened the window (which was impossible with the frigid weather) so the bathroom got extremely steamy and the condensation made everything wet and left puddles on the floor. The bed was also a bit uncomfortable and made a lot of noise even if you moved slightly, so we didn't sleep that well. Overall I feel that this place would have been a lot more enjoyable had we come in the summer when there is little risk of it being too cold or rainy to make traveling about the grounds more comfortable, but it was not worth the money for staying here at this time.
Pros: Everything!!! The facilities, the rooms but above all the staff...they are so accommodating and friendly!! Looking forward to staying there again!!
Cons: There is not one single thing not to like about this place
Pros: this is an environment 10 minutes the coast/sea, quiet, not overloaded and from here you can make trips everywhere.
Cons: coffee and tea facilities in the room
Pros: they are really nice and welcoming, always ready to help in anything we need in our trip. And my room was beautiful!
Pros: Facilities both of the room and the hotel Calm and peaceful place, great for resting Breakfast
Cons: Albeit we understand it is a big investment, the access to the indoor pool and spa area is made from the outside - in the winter it gets a bit uncomfortable
Pros: Staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Indoor pool and jacuzzi were a bonus as weather not great
Cons: our room was modern and very spacious but our friends' room was very cramped, although it had quirky decor being attached to the old mill.
