Pros: We had an excellent stay in this wonderful and charming house. Isabel is very kind and puts lot of love in every detail. She really knows the region and helps getting the most out of the day. Great breakfast and amazing pool. It’s hard to find an accommodation like this. 10 out of 10.
Pros: - nice and friendly host - we received a free can of tee and fruits on arrival - pool was great - small but pleasant breakfast buffet, with good choice of home baked cake, selfmade yogurt, juice and fruits from the garden - shared living room to relax and enjoy the evening ... we even received a farewell gift!!!! Thank you very much for this!!!
Pros: A beautiful setting in a wonderful chateau style house. The host Maria and owner Isabel are wonderful.
Pros: Me (72) and my wife (61) spent a wonderful week in Quinta de Freixieiro, which is a gem in the realm of hotels/guesthouses. We felt from the first moment in a friends house, the warm hospitylita of Isabel is best described by the German word "herzlich" rather than "friendly". It is a perfect pace to relax and to enjoy life. You need a car to get to the somewhat remote place, which is however close to very interesting places, to beaches and to villages and cities. Porto is only 40 km and there are good restaurant nearby. The other guests described already the rooms and the equipment, we need not to repeat it. We placed the Quinta de Freixieiroon our personal list of special places wordwide, which we feel lucky and happy to know them.
Pros: Wonderful historic home. Close to excellent restaurants. Lovely host and staff. Beautiful grounds.
Cons: Could use a sign for locating property but we found it with no problems.

Pros: They worked very hard to meet all our needs. Sophia and Regina were fantastic including washing our clothes and dry cleaning them
Cons: The back door needs to be available to bring in bags upstairs
Pros: The Hotel, the location, the breakfast, the workers,
Pros: Lovely building and gardens. Amazing breakfast!
Cons: Not a lot of power outlets in the room, and some large spiders in the bathroom. Also had to wait a long time to check in since there was no one at reception.
Pros: The property is beautiful, the room was very spacious and comfortable, no problems finding parking and the staff was really friendly and helpful.
Cons: The heating didn't seem to work but the room was not very cold and the bedspread was warm.
Pros: Everything. The imposing entrance, the buildings, the happy and helpful staff, the luxurious room, the pool, the excellent breakfast ( a super wide choice including fried eggs) looked after by a lovely lady who could not do enough for you. We fell in love with the place and would love to return. Also ease of parking and excellent nearby restaurant, San Domingo's. All of the above for about £65 per couple b&b. Amazing!
Cons: The negative comments made by other reviewers. This hotel provided everything it said it did down to the complementary wine, fruit and toothbrush. It should not be criticised for what it did not promise. If an evening meal is required or special handicap access, then book a hotel that offers the required facilities.
Pros: staff where extremely helpful and friendly
Cons: lumpy pillows

Pros: We came later than expected, but everything was okey!
Pros: Excellent value for money. Friendly and efficient staff. Flawless wifi. Quiet location.
Cons: Breakfast could be more varied in terms of offer.
Cons: Very clean, nice place
Pros: The lady with brown hair and glasses was absolutely amazing, sorry I can’t remember her name.... ( I think manager) she was brilliant - was so accommodating- wonderful lady.
Cons: The only small thing is the TV in bedrooms would be good to upgrade to flat screen.

Pros: It was clean it was fresh and the room was fun & cheerful.
Cons: Nothing to complain about
Pros: Full of small and beautiful details, a family bussines, not professional that makes the experience more special, super clean and for my plan excellent location, 10 out 10

Pros: This place is just perfect to have some relaxing time in the countryside. I was especially impressed with the personnel, they were all so kind and helpful. Upon arrival the gave us a list with addresses of nearby shops and resto's. They even ordered for us takeaway. We had arranged for a babysitter to look after our 3 yo for one evening and I have to say Carmen was the best babysitter we have ever had, she took excellent care of our daughter. We stayed in a 2-bedroom villa - had all necessary equipment including a small kitchenette. Lots of green spaces around, we enjoyed staying out and just breathing the fresh air. There is also a pool and mini golf, we didn't use them as it was a bit chilly but I imagine would be great when the weather gets hot. Overall, I definitely recommend the place for someone looking for peace and quiet in a green sunny setting.
Cons: Don't leave food on the table overnight - there are ants (it's the countryside so quite normal).
Pros: Werry nice place says kaya
Pros: The calmness and the quality of the bedrooms.
Cons: There is no bar/food service if you want a snack during the day. The bedroom is expensive comparing to other similar properties that offer more facilities.

Pros: The best thing about our stay were two staff members, Monica (reception) and Bruno (cafe). I loved the grounds and building; an old world feel yet modern flare and comfort. Very pretty facility.
Cons: Air conditioner in room was not working well. The room was a bit warm. The only other issue, was the facility has a health club that is available to public members and the pool is included. Therefore the pool was VERY crowded with kids and teens (very loud and not relaxing environment).
Pros: Didn’t taste it
Cons: 9 am too late for breakfast hour.
Pros: the staff is kind and nice
Cons: the room was terrible with degrees of humidity of the charts, seemed like we were in a basement under a swimming pool when asked for a different room, they said were fully booked
When you stay at Hotel Rural Quinta da Vista Alegre in Pacos De Ferreira, you'll be within the vicinity of Aveleda Vineyards. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Friendly place. Beautiful place.
Pros: The hotel in general was quite cold but the rooms were fine! The receptionist couldn't speak English but we had no problem for check in, breakfast and check out.
Cons: Definitely the breakfast room and in general all the hotel was cold. I guess we were there out of season, the room was OK but the bathroom was cold.
Pros: Excellent place to stress free and a very well design and manage garden.
Cons: Probably more chairs and long chairs in pool's place
Pros: Beautiful grounds! Quiet and removed from activity, but very near restaurants.
Cons: Staff was helpful but not always nearby. We had to leave early also, and no breakfast was made available, even a lesser or modified one.
Cons: There was a wedding going on, and there was a lot of noise during the night. I wouldn’t have booked if I knew it ahead of time. The facilities are clearly lacking maintenance (windows that don’t close, flooding in the bathroom, dirty walls), and the swimming pool was not very clean.
Pros: Close from my business meeting
Cons: Toilet flush doesn't work at all ! Old fashioned room Hope that the guys who reviewed this hotel with a note of 10 will have the opportunity to stay in a 4* hotel and they'll see the difference. 2* hotel not more at all
Pros: Beautiful grounds, great location, helpful staff and lovely breakfast.
Cons: The bathroom was dated, needs updating
Pros: The workers were fantastic! Worker went out of her way to iron some of our clothes for a wedding we was attending!
Pros: beautiful setting, very nice owner who was very helpful
Cons: it was just a shame the swimming pool had been damaged and was out of use
Pros: an old farm house, yet renovated and with very modern furnitures. very clean and highly maintained.
Cons: location is a little bit far from highway, the room had 2 separate beds you could not connect together.
Pros: Beautiful garden, great swimming pool.
Cons: Difficult to find the way to the hotel, no sign posts or directions. Not all staff speaks English.
